Persuasive Essay About Hallmarks
I love that too. We Hallmark fans enjoy getting to see actors we know and have interacted with on
Hallmark and other networks. While network fans are great, there is something special about
Hallmark fans. Definitely. I learned from Andrea mostly. I 'm not great on social media. She 's so
awesome with her fans and gives them everything they want. She 's so loving to them, and they are
just so awesome back. She has this great rapport with them, and obviously, the fans want to know
what she 's up to behind the scenes. So we 'll be able to see you in Destination Wedding. Are you
able to say what Garage Sale Mystery movie you 're in? Yes, it 's Garage Sale Mystery Murder Most

The thriller is based around him. What prompted you to start your own production company? I was
auditioning for stuff that I wasn 't always one hundred percent connected to. It came out of that. I
wanted to work on something that I loved. I started writing, producing, and making short films.
Then I started making feature films. And we had complete control over what we were making. And
we kind of fell into this genre 'cause it 's just got those fans. And it is one where you don 't need to
have superstars to sell the movie. So now we just have to distribute it. It 's available on iTunes and
VOD in Canada now. We 're going to release it later on this month on iTunes and VOD and a bunch
of platforms in the States. Well, you are definitely keeping busy with work and your son. So how
have you been able to manage all the family stuff and keeping your career going? All I want to do is
stay at home with the family. But it 's been nice that I 've been able to work enough to support us.
Sarah 's actually working on a few things. We actually saw her at Christmastime. Yeah, she 's back
auditioning, so you 'll see her some more. She had a pretty awesome year hanging out with Harry. It
's just nice to have her at home taking care of Harry. We 're going to try to keep that going. We 'll
just start trading off. I 'll be a stay–at–home dad while she 's working, and then we 'll switch back.
Sounds like both have things figured out pretty well. Not all parents figure it

My Life
My friends cheerfully laugh as they start piling into Brett's car. Today is my eighteenth birthday, and
because now everyone in our friend group has hit this milestone, they decided that we should all go
get tattoos. Brett wants and eagle on his arm, Jessica wants a butterfly on her back, and Ashley
wants the word "Love" around her ankle. But as for me, I have absolutely no clue what I want.
I'm staring at a wall, lost in my thoughts, when I hear Brett remark, "Yo Chris, let's go man!" I
quickly snap out of my stupor and hike over to Ashley's car. The girls are playfully giggling on the
inside as I climb into the back and shut the door. The girls start conversing as Brett starts driving,

So this meant I had to go to a new school. The first day of school came, and because I was on anti–
depressants; I was more lethargic and drowsy than usual. I crawled through the morning classes,
simply trying to push my way through the day. Lunch came, and I couldn't manage to find an empty
table, so I sat on the floor up against the wall. But then, Brett, Ashley, and Jessica noticed me sitting
on the ground, and they invited me to their table. I sat down with them, and began pulling out the
contents of my lunchbox as they asked me my name and what grade I was. I answered politely, but
then I started to bite into my sandwich. Suddenly, a wave of sorrow overtook me. My mom used to
make my sandwiches. This was the first time in my life that my mom had not made my lunch for
me. I started to cry; big, manly sobs in the middle of the cafeteria. It caught them off guard. Ashley
asked me what was wrong and I told them the whole story. I half expected them to get up and leave
me, but they stayed. They've stayed for the last two years. They helped me through my depression,
and now they're my closest friends. I suddenly snap out of my flashback to the sound of the GPS
telling us that we are set to arrive in five minutes. I quickly start thinking about what to get, rushed
by this new deadline. Then, it hits me. I know exactly what I'm going to get. I want a bass clef,

College Vs. High School
Welcome to college! Congratulations on making it this far! Now the time comes to ramp up the
ante! No such program as stepping up to college exists as it does for for high school. Oh wait! It's
called high school. Move it or lose it now, your future rests on your shoulders. High school teachers
just handed you your future based on the way you schooled, and college professors tell you to figure
it out. College trips up hundreds of students a year, refrain from letting yourself become one of
them. Your class strategies must improve as will your study habits and reading habits to fulfill new
demands of college classes and avoid sliding into the pitfalls of doom. Umpteen million utilities and
tricks to remember when it comes to college classes begin to surface if you google "college vs. high
school". Sever Kvigne, a student at UWGB, tells us our first point regarding classes. Students too
often skip class, Kviane says, and wind up failing (9/4/15). Attending class gleams success,
regardless how simple catching back up by finding a friend and their notes may seem. Overthinking
it, fabricating excuses, and debating reveal a descent into the pits; just go. You will ameliorate
learning since your brain stores what you hear and correlates that to the image of your notes; the
process of active learning. Honestly, where else can you learn the material this effectively? With
note taking in mind, we explore what Rachael, Daigle, and Rachael, tell us that paraphrasing

Sacred Twins Movie Analysis
Sacred Twins, Profane Treatment This is the story of the sacred twins, Thaues and Taous, and the
events that lead to them becoming the attendants of the Apis bull, as recounted in a letter written by
Ptolemaios to Ptolemy VI.The film is a tale of murder, betrayal, theft and the gods, and includes
scenes daily Egyptian life that create ties between the modern viewer and ancient Egypt. One of the
central themes of the film is the economic activity that surrounds spiritual life in Egypt and the
temple complexes. Another major theme is the legal structure that developed in Egypt around
economic activity and family law. These two aspects combine to form the major structure
underpinning the girl's narrative, creating a fascinating look at life in Ptolemaic Egypt. Temple
complexes in Egypts functioned as market places for a diverse range of goods and services. People
would travel to the city of Sakkara to seek answers to their prayers, bringing coins with them that
were quickly spent in the city. Pilgrims could purchase charms, potions, and favors from the gods,
converting their gold or silver coins into a less–temporal, religious currency. This attracted
merchants and craftsman to the temples, creating an entire economy devoted to serving the visitors.
A ceremony such as the Apis bull funeral depicted in the film would draw in far greater numbers of
pilgrims and provide an economic boom for the temple economy. Service in an ancient Egyptian
temple complex also included

Luke Week 1 Reflection Paper
Task at Hand (lesson purpose): 1. To learn and understand Jesus's purpose to bring good news that
will forgive us of our sins and bring help to those who are in need. 2. To discover our own purpose
as we lead Christ centered lives, and learn how we can live out that purpose every day. Mission Prep
● Read through the Message from Command Center: Mission 3 before meeting. This isn't
something that you will need to read to the group, but it is information for you to provide
background that may be helpful for your students or to help you answer questions that may arise. ●
It can be hard to predict how long a particular activity will interest a group. Prepare all four
activities, but be flexible with what sparks the interest of your class. Be sure there is time to spend
with Activity 3. ● This lesson will require the use of technology. Be sure to practice connecting your
computer to the TV in your classroom before meeting. If you need assistance, or a compatible

chapter 4 signifies a shift in Jesus' ministry, it is the beginning of his ministry in Galilee. Up to this
point the focus has been on Jesus' birth and preparation for ministry, now he begins to live out his

it is important to remember a hero's journey takes time to develop, even Jesus's journey allowed him

Pros And Cons Of Millennials
In today's world, millennials consistently want to take the easy way out for everything. It seems
such an easy way for them to accomplish things a lot quicker, yet they find they have a much higher
rate of making mistakes. This idea happens so much that it is starting to affect their school work,
causing them to not get as high of grades as they want or need. For years professors have debated
whether hand written notes or computer notes are better. Both these methods have their pros and
cons, but only one has been shown to improve a student's learning ability. Typing notes has shown to
be favored by these millennials. This is because they tend to take short cuts in attempt to minimize
time spent on everyday tasks and typing overall decreases the amount of effort applied. According to
Plaza College, a reason students chose typed notes over handwritten is because of the needed time to
type notes is less tasking. Typing the notes is quicker because most students entering high school or
college have taken a computer typing class which enhances their ability to type quicker than they
can write. Another pro of this method is the idea of quick access to the internet. For example, if a
student is in class and the teacher starts explaining a topic that is unfamiliar with them they can
quickly access the internet and get information on the topic. Along with pros to this method there are
some cons for it too. Very few students see negatives in typing their notes. One major con for

Reasons behind Lucas´ Suicide in Good Hair Essay
There are three reasons Lucas commits suicide, and each reason teaches an important lesson to
Alice. The first reason is that Lucas felt that he had no identity and did not fit in with his peers and
other social groups. Secondly, Lucas was not able to commit to relationships. The final reason is that
Lucas felt a lot of guilt for attempting to rape Alice. While all of these reasons negatively affected
Lucas and were the reasons behind his suicide, they also taught Alice valuable lessons which
allowed her to make improvements to her life. If it was not for the lessons in identity, cultural
perspective, and self worth, Alice would not have been able to move forward with the changes in her
life.
In the story of Good Hair, Lucas' lack of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Growing up, she felt that she did not fit in with the black girls who berated her on the fashions of the
white magazines that she wore every day to school. It wasn't until she started to embrace the stuck
up group of girls in her school, that she could feel safe from being bullied. The notion of her
childhood from her parents that the son should be smart and go to school while she should be
satisfied because, "...it was enough, they said, that I was pretty". The death of Lucas allowed her to
see that she had more control in figuring out where she belongs as a successful writer . In Alice's
relationship with Miles, she had to submit to his will and not live a life that was fulfilling. The
pleasures and the fashion that came with Miles' money, did not make her feel complete. In the same
way, Lucas' death teaches Alice that she should not settle on things that did not add to her self worth.
With Alice's identity, the role of fashion has always been a factor in her family's identity for her as a
child. This role of fashion and beauty is also present in her understanding of the culture of black
women in the tribe. As with the example of her grandmother who was abused by her grandfather
with being "a beauty", Alice has learned from her family history that the preconceptions of what
beauty is should not be something to shy away from or to use the term beauty as a way to fill the
void in the way she lives her life. The lessons of identity from Lucas'

Blowing Bottle Tops: Making Music with Glass Bottles
Have you ever wondered why glass bottles made a sound, kind of like a music note? Well, this paper
will explain how this works. The paper will be talking about sound, sound waves, standing waves,
musical note names and frequencies, resonance, and closed–end air columns. Closed–end air
columns will be a main focus in the paper, studying the physics behind it. Glass bottles are an
example of a closed–end air column. Therefore, the more water inside the bottle, the lower the note,
and less water would be a higher note. Closed–end air can be many things; ranging from brass
instruments, woodwind instruments, organ pipes, and flutes. These closed–end air columns cannot
produce an even harmonic. It has a 1st harmonic, 3rd harmonic, and fifth harmonic. These
harmonics are can be understood as, the 2nd harmonic being twice that of the 1st, and the 4th being
four times that of the 1st .
Sound is a wave, and a wave can be remembered as a medium, carrying energy from one point to
another. The sound wave has a resemblance of a slinky in its nature, for many reasons. The
disturbance goes from one place to another, carried by the medium. Typically, the medium will carry
energy through the air, although it could be any substance like water and steel. There is an original
source of the wave; anything from someone's vibrating vocal chords, or a tuning fork. Then, the
sound is transported through the medium through particle–to–particle interaction. If the sound wave
is moving through the

A Journey Of A Thousand Miles
The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the
sails. – William Arthur Ward Have you ever had a post it friend? Someone who constantly writes
notes to encourage you and to make you feel better? Examples of: 'We don 't see things the way they

are you one of those? If so... I hate you right now. I actually hate you. I never minded you until this
morning, but watch me take 100 steps away from you now. My boyfriend Jake or well ex–boyfriend

the bathroom, the fridge, our walk–in wardrobe. I swear every room in my house had at least four.

Masquerade Concert, Halloween Spooktacular, Arranged By...
Out of the three pieces that the Artiste Orchestra prepared to the Masquerade Concert, Halloween
Spooktacular, arranged by Bob Phillips, was definitely the hardest piece. Not only was it long, but it
was fast and had passages with difficult fingerings. By no means have I perfected this piece, but I
used several different practice techniques to help me master the fast tempo and difficult fingerings.
The technique that I used the most was probably using a metronome. I would start by playing a
passage very slowly, probably around 80–100 beats per minute depending on the passage. Then,
once I had mastered the passage at that speed, I would increase the tempo by 10 beats per minute
and practice the passage at that speed until I had mastered it. Then, I would increase the tempo
another 10 beats per minute and repeat the same process. I would continue this same process until I
had mastered that section at tempo. It was at these slower speeds that I could really focus on the
little things, such as intonation, rhythm, dynamics and articulation because by focusing on these
elements as slow speeds, it would be easier to bring them into the piece at faster speeds. Another
practice technique I attempted to use to practice Halloween Spooktacular was playing along with a
recorded version of the piece. This is a technique I used for several pieces last year because I find it
helpful to hear all the parts of a piece, not just my own. Unfortunately, after one or two attempts to
play along

control the amounts of interacting ingredients to very tightly defined proportions, in accordance with
prevailing theory and experience. Silver said with a certain measure of glee, "The key to the Postit
adhesive was doing the experiment. If I had sat down and factored it out beforehand, and thought
about it, I wouldn't have done the experiment. If I had limited my thinking only to what the
literature said, I would have stopped. The literature was full of examples that said you can't do this."
Highly regarded publications and experts would have told Silver there was no point in doing what
he did. But Silver understood that science is one part meticulous calculation and one part fooling
around. "People like myself," said Silver, "get excited about looking for new properties in materials.
I find that very satisfying, to perturb the structure slightly and just see what happens. I have a hard
time talking people into doing that–people who are more highly trained. It's been my experience that
people are reluctant just to try, to experiment–just to see what will happen!" When Silver went
ahead with the "wrong" proportions of the ADM monomers, just to see what would happen, he got a
reaction that departed from the predictions of theory. It

Dorothy Parkera Poem Analysis
Coda by Dorothy Parker has a negative connotation on the view of life. It is accurate to describe this
as someone who is very pessimistic, or even a little bit depressed. Therefore I made the tone of my
melody very dark and not inspiring to reflect the personality of the poem. In each subsequent bar I
decrease the initial note down by a note to represent how the author believes that there is no reason
or motivation for living life. It is seen in each bar that I begin an upward trend with each initial note
but towards the end of each bar I placed a chord that sounds like it is disrupting the flow of progress
and motivation. I see pessimism as a dangerous entity that can harm the happiness of others and I
believe it is clearly seen with the scheme in which I have wrote my melody. In the beginning of the
5th bar I begin an upward trend of each subsequent initial note that emphasizes the author's slight
change in tone, form completely negative to only slightly negative, indicating that there might be a
change in the author's thoughts. But as the melody continues to build up it all comes crashing down
once the author wrote "throwing the battle", and "Would you kindly direct me to hell?". The
decreasing melody of sixteenth–notes emphasizes the throwing of the battle. A battle is something
that is built up and the end of a battle a victor is decided, but instead of building up the author
decides to throw the battle. Finally, the last note represent "hell". It is the lowest note out

Literary Analysis Of The Academic Bowl By E. L. Konigsburg
At the beginning of the novel, the author, E.L. Konigsburg, sets up the story at a state Academic
Bowl. The academic bowl takes place on a Saturday in May. The author first introduces us to Mrs.
Olinski, a sixth grade teacher at Epiphany Middle School. We also meet her academic bowl team,
The Souls. Next, Konigsburg introduces us to a sixth grader, Noah Gershom. Noah often uses
sarcasm to make his point. Fact: Noah Gershom loves facts. Currently, there are only two teams left
in the Bowl, Epiphany and Maxwell. The state superintendent asks a question about the meaning of
calligraphy, and Noah buzzes in. Using a pun, Konigsburg relates Noah being the first chosen to
answer the question to him being the first chosen for the team. The question about calligraphy ...

Therefore, Noah's Grandpa drove them to a local art store to buy Noah a calligraphy pen and a bottle

also showed him the six tedious steps you have to complete before you start writing. Everything was
going fine with the invitations until the cat knocked down the bottle of ink, and stepped on five of

Why Post-Its?
Carmen Ramirez Dr. Lee English 1302– 7:30 am August 5, 2014 The Smallest Things Can Make A
Difference I have chosen to study "Post–Its (Notes on Marriage)" by Winnie Holzman and Paul
Dooley. This is a short drama in which a man and a woman go through some ups and downs in their
relationship and it is being told by the post–it notes they left for each other. I believe this piece of
literature is important because it shows the little details in a person's life and how they add up
together. It is a great example in how such few little details can add up to how much you love
someone. I have chosen this because I enjoy drama, character development, and it's ending. This is a
drama that may seem "basic" but it holds so much depth in it ... Show more content on

These characters grow as they suffer through marriage problems. When the woman leaves the man,
which lets him learn his mistakes and to be grateful for the things they had. He writes, "Things to
tell her. That I'm sorry. That I miss her. That all I want–all I ever wanted–is for her to be happy"
(Dooley and Holzman 3). The man has learned and developed into a greater human being. Third
reason I chose this was because it's a love story with a realistic happy ending. I am a sucker for
romance and honestly this hit the spot and made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy. The characters
grew old with each other. Isn't that what everyone hopes for in life? To find someone that will deal
with them until the day they die? Well they did. The man has the last post–it, in which he writes,
"You saved every Post–It I ever wrote you. I wish I'd saved yours. I could be reading them now.
(Beat.) Back soon. Going to the store. We need milk " (Dolley and Holzman 4). Ever lasting love is
shown in this post–it. This drama is touching to the heart as both the man and woman grow in their
relationship. It shows meaning to the fact that life goes on no matter what happens and that things
do get better. This story means so much because it shows that even through small communication so
much is said. People need to remember what it is like to communicate and to remember that in the
end it was all worth it. Works Cited Page Dooley, Paul, and Winnie Holzman. "Post–Its

Fandom Research Paper
Towards the end of sixth grade (I think), I found out about fandoms. A fandom is a community of
fans, participating in fanac and interacting in some way, whether through discussions or creative
works. Some people feel that those in the same fandom as them are like family. We talk to each
other, try to make each other happy, support one another, and give advice and suggestions. Before
you continue, I highly suggest not looking up any animes, shows, or web–comics that I may
mention, no matter how awesome I say they are, unless you are okay with staying up until one in the
morning because you wanted to know what happens next. Also, you might end up spending a lot of
money if you want to cosplay as a character. The Warrior cat books by Erin Hunter are great, and

The trolls have four quadrants, and humans only have one! Matespritship is the closest to human
romance. Kismesissitude is based on mutual hatred rather than mutual love. Moirallegiance is often
misinterpreted as "best buds forever" or "bromance", but with the Homestuck trolls, the emphasis is
on the fact that one of the two has particularly violent tendencies, even by troll standards, and their
interactions with their moirail help to make them less dangerous to themselves and others.
Auspisticism is probably the furthest from anything humans actually do. Basically, an auspistice
mediates between two normal enemies (as opposed to kismeses), in order to prevent it from
becoming too violent. Matespritship and moirallegiance are called "red rom", or "red romance".

Genogram And Ethnography Analysis
The overall process of drawing out my ecomap and genogram was moderately easy. I drew rough
drafts of both clinical tools first before completing the final copies. I found this helpful especially
for the ecomap because it allowed me to organize the different ecological impacts of my life
effectively. I think the hardest part of creating this clinical tool was being able to lay it out so that
things that should be connected were close to each other. I liked drawing the ecomap because it was
interesting to see different aspects of my life connected to each other. Thinking of the different parts
of my life that I come in contact with came easily to me. In terms of completing the genogram,

Theme Of Music In Fantasia 3
Program music is music that is intended to evoke images or convey the impression of events. From
the music, a story was developed to be in Fantasia 3. The characters in the story are hundreds of
trolls along with one tiny fox. It is set in a deep dark, enchanted forest during night time. The key is
B♭minor which the minor sound creates a scary and dark mood. This key had been associated with
words such as obscure and gloomy and has also been associated with the image or mood of night
time.. Right as the song starts it begins forte. This grabs the audience's attention straight away and
scares the audience just like the trolls do to the fox. The dynamic portrays the dominant, scary
nature of the trolls right from the first beat. This is also is goes hand in hand with the timbre. The
song begins with a large group of strings and woodwind instruments playing, depicting all of the
trees. They used lower sounding instruments, such as the bassoon and clarinet, to create a dark and
scary sound. This allows for a fuller sound further allowing them to create scary, gloomy and
intimidating atmosphere. The tempo is andante, an easy walking pace, which is fairly slow.
However, having this tempo allows the portrayal of the trees to be large, heavy and slow moving.
The melody itself has many rests in between the melody patterns. This helps depict the trolls being
so stiff as they change from tree to troll, suggesting that they have been a tree for too long. This is
also supported by the

The Movie ' Scream Queens '
From "Sons of Anarchy" to "Nip Tuck", FX has created popular TV dramas over the years.
However, none of them has had such significant popularity as Ryan Murphy's "American Horror
Story", known for its blood and gore, and "Glee" known for its sharp social commentary. The
creation of these TV series led to the drastic rise to stardom of Ryan Murphy's career. Though
"Glee's" stint on TV has ended, it was a highly acclaimed series with high ratings. Today, "American
Horror Story", his project following "Glee", is now one of TV's highest rated series, which is an
especially peculiar accomplishment for a TV series of this genre. Therefore, when the creation of a
new horror TV series was announced, nothing but sheer greatness was expected. ... Show more

Similar to Sontag's "Notes On Camp", which "proposes a comic vision of the world" (Sontag 288),
Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens" utilizes comedy to portray issues prevalent in society today. By
"dethroning the serious" (Sontag 288) and being "playful" (Sontag 288) and "anti–serious" (Sontag
288), "Scream Queens" effectively accomplishes this feat. The TV series "Scream Queens", deals
with numerous social issues in society such as homosexuality, racism and eating disorders.
However, through its comedy and lack of seriousness, this series is able to provide a sense of
bluntness and harsh reality of these issues. By adopting this unique approach, this TV series' use of
comedy works, as it depicts these social issues in its true light, which many believe are non–
existent, subsequently leading to society's ability to tackle these issues directly and 'head on'.
A serious issue of today's society, which is referenced in the TV series "Scream Queens" is
homophobia. In the show, actress Jenna Han who portrays the character Sam on the TV show, is
bullied as a result of her sexuality. Other characters on the show nicknamed Sam "The Predatory
Lez,'" as a result of Sam being a lesbian. The show attempts to highlight the struggles experienced
by homosexuals in a comedic fashion. Nick Jonas' character, Boone, like Jenna Han's character,
Sam, highlights the struggle homosexuals experience in an attempt to be accepted by society. Boone
attempts to fit into a fraternity house by

Personal Narrative : The Never Ending Force
Time, the never–ending force that continues to work throughout history. Some student's feel that time
doesn't move fast enough, although when the dreaded Finals come around, many students find that
there isn't enough time for effective studying. My time was running out as dawn quickly
approached. I was sitting on my bed with my laptop as my mother opened the door to my room.
"What are you doing up at this hour?" she questioned me angrily. "You need your sleep for
tomorrow, and staying up all night will only stiffen your chances of getting a good grade on your
test," she lectured.
"It's not just any test mom," I answered in an annoyed voice. "It's the final for my medical

"Tell you what, when I attended college, I used to sleep for an hour and wake up for an hour
reviewing and studying my notes, all night long" my mom said comfortingly. "I know that there is a
lot of material to go over, but I want you to sleep right now and we will try my sleep–study method,
so I'll set my alarm clock and come get you up in about an hour," she told me.
Reluctantly, I agreed and I followed my mom's advice, but it turned out that I liked sleep more than I
wanted to study so when she woke me up after about an hour I accepted my fate, and decided that
there was just way too much information to cram in, and because the practicefinal test didn't work I
had no idea what to cram, so I went to sleep, in hopes for some miracle that I don't epically fail.
Morning was a blur, but when I arrived at school my mind fully awake I started to panic. "There's no
way I'm going to pass this final" I fretted to myself, so I did the only logical thing; I quickly emailed
the teacher my dilemma of the faulty practice test. It wasn't until the class started that she emailed
me back staying she fixed the problem. But honestly, it was too late; the proctor gave my class some
quick studying before the final began, I went through it seemed eight or nine practice test trying to

Evaluation of Books on String Theory
A String Method Book Evaluation
Three different methods books; "Muller Rusch String Method," "Action with Strings," and "
Essential Elements for strings," revealed three very different approaches to learning. The influence
of time is greatly noticeable in comparing and contrasting these three approaches. "Essential
Elements for Strings" was published in 1994 and the other two books in the 1960's. After many
years of studying education the approach to teaching students how to play an instrument has greatly
improved. The increased knowledge in educational psychology is evident through comparing
"Essential Elements for Strings" to the other two. The student learns best through a step by step
guide to this new endeavor. The student ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is no complete fingering chart available, ensemble music included, or illustration of correct
sitting posture. Technical problems are not introduced logically. Directions are given simply and
clearly but the order is incorrect in teaching effectively. There is a great improvement in instruction
compared to the first methods book introduced but also room for much needed changes such as
logical steps.
In "Essential Elements for Strings" by Allen, Gillespie, and Hayes, instructions are clear and logical.
The parts of the instrument and bow are introduced and care of the instrument is defined clearly. The
book introduces skills with directions and illustrations that help build up to effectively playing the
instrument. Basic music vocabulary is introduced and the student is instructed to play pizzicato on
the open strings. Learning to play pizzicato is much more effective than immediately playing with
the bow as in the other two books. The note names are inscribed in the note heads to help the student
associate the location of the notes on the staff as well as learn the names. The wonderful finger
pattern is then introduced to teach E, F#, and G on the D string. The pattern is illustrated as well as
described. The book then uses an effective method of holding the bow by practicing on a pencil with
illustrations and clear instructions. Different exercises help to hold the bow

Ruslana Korshunova Suicide

Amanda N. Martin
Gallaudet University
One of the largest known social problems of modern times affecting mankind one–way or another is
suicide. It has become everyday news within the media reporting someone who has committed
suicide for various reasons. Though every suicide has its own story, the most common reasons are
related to a possible result of relationship failure, financial difficulties, and someone suffering from
a mental illness such as depression. While suicide is frequently associated to bullied teens, it is also
affecting those that are viewed by society as having lavish lifestyles, or the life many average
citizens aspire to live. More celebrities are committing suicide as a way out of financial difficulties,
alcohol or substance abuse disorders, and as previously mentioned, depression. Upon researching
multiple celebrities who have attempted and/or successfully committed suicide, there was one
popular figure that caught my attention and encouraged me to complete further research on her
suicide. This particular individual was known in the modeling industry as the "Russian Rapunzel"
and having "great wells of beauty". Ruslana Korshunova had the life that many twenty–year–old
girls fantasized about. The society craved model, Ruslana, worked for some of the world's highly
coveted top designers and traveled to places like Milan, London, and Paris. She was a natural rising

Comparison Of Final Love Note And Louise Gluck's Mock Orange
The Importance of Language in Clare Rossini's Final Love Note and Louise Gluck's Mock Orange
Love is such an abstract concept for the human mind to figure out. Along with the love of a mother
for her child, there are many types of sensual love or brotherly love; friendship is frequently
described as a type of love, as well. This abstraction can also be distorted and made to fit into
categories that would normally be associated with negativity and abuse not "love." Think of why a
woman will continually go back to an abusive spouse with the irrational reason that "he loves me."
If he loved you, he wouldn't beat you...Would he? In a poem, the confusion seems only to extend, as
writers will describe a beautiful event that is tainted by a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The word "wanton" is the first of three words that she uses in this poem that dramatically affect the
tone of the poem. The Oxford English Dictionary defines "wanton" as being unruly, rebellious, and
unmanageable. This definition is followed by another that has a relatively different meaning which
is to describe someone or something that is dainty, fastidious, and playful. To place these definitions
inside the poem, the reader can come out with two separate meanings to these first lines. One could
take the first, which would mean that this relationship is peaceful and manageable. It is not out of
control. By the second definition, however, the relationship is also not dainty, fastidious, or playful.
To apply these definitions to the surface meaning of the poem makes sense, because a tree could not
be playful or out of control. However, if a reader were to apply it to an intimate relationship, the
relationship seems to have lost its luster. Perhaps, the participants are no longer as exciting as they
once were. Rossini describes the tree's silence during the winter and continues with vivid imagery of
"the slugs ate the yellow hearts/ Right out of my lilies, while you, elm, died on" (lines 11–12). This
line gives an extremely emotional visualization of having your heart eaten out, figuratively, by
someone that you love.
Rossini's word choice in the next to last paragraph gives an even stronger impression that she is
using the tree as a

How Will I Be Successful For College?
In today's society, many people are considering college to either advance their career, make a switch
in jobs or start on a path to a more prosperous life. With that set in mind, questions comes to mind
"how will I be successful in college? How can I pass all my classes with the best possible grade?" I,
myself have had these exact thoughts, and through trial and error have learned some beneficial skills
along the way. Three steps that have helped me get good grades and maintain them are attending
classes, effective note taking, and time management.
Firstly, attending classes is priority, and essential since lectures tend to discuss plenty of material in
a short period of time. For example, in my psychology class which is three hours, once a week, we
review about three chapters each class, then in next week's class we start on the following set of
chapters, then a test is assigned the proceeding week. Along with reviewing the chapters we get
handouts, and in the class notes that are not incorporated in the textbook chapters. These prove
helpful when the test is assigned as they come from the professor who make the test. In addition,
attendance is key because the instructor may amend the assignment or due date and you may not
know about it. In my math class, we have a project that is due on March 28th except the professor
was kindhearted enough to postpone it to April 7th. Only the people who were in class knew about
this, as he did not send out an email, or update the due

people. Having kindness for yourself it's the first step that everyone should take. "Suicide Note" by
Janice Mirikitani talks about a girl who committed suicide just because she didn't have kindness for

Good tempo and good control veryall. Again, at the octave watch out for the for the higher note.
Make sure it's in tune with the lower note. I know it's hard but try not to rush in the octave, it will
make you life a lot easier. In the up bow staccato, use your index finger to articulate more especially
in this tempo.

Good overall. Watch out for the indication of the kind of bowstroke technique that Piatti asked for.
Slower practice at the octave area. Think about the connection between each octave. When you are
practicing also try to slide between two chord. Able to hear the slide while in slow practice and
eliminated as you speed up will help you to have a more accurate intonation in the octave area.

Watch out for the tunning for the chrod. Practice stop and go will help a lot with these chord

Personal Narrative-When Calls The Heart
This season on "When Calls the Heart" has been a fantastic time of growth in the community, and
many of the featured new faces have been the children of Hope Valley. Yet again, Hearties were
introduced to a character named Robert who didn't get along with Cody in the beginning, but Miss
Thatcher never gave up on him. With his signature curly hair and spot on facial expressions, we
have not been able to overlook this character nor the boy who has infused him with life, Jaiven Natt.
Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with this 11–year–old who has become a delightful part of
this weekly Hallmark escape.
What inspired you to become an actor at your age?
I always thought actors had such fun on TV, and it was something I really wanted to do. We
happened to hear about an acting camp, and my mom asked if I wanted to go. Of course I did, and
we had to go to LA for the camp. My mom had a GPS to get us there, but we got lost. We stopped
off at a store, and my mom wasn't sure we should keep going. I said I really wanted to go, and I
begged her to keep going. And then we found the camp, and I had such a great time. My coach at the
camp was a real $$#Break#$$ But after talking with this young man (who honestly has a delectable
sense of humor and is quite grounded, thanks to his tremendous parents), there is no doubt in my
mind that he is on the right course, and he is just the sort of person who will resonate with fans now
and in the years to come. I would say to watch out for this young man as he is on a path that will
ultimately bring him (and us) great joy and fulfillment. Be sure to follow him every step of this
magnificent journey as you watch him on "When Calls the Heart" every Sunday on the Hallmark

Every student needs to start with the basic fundamentals of "going to college". You need to build a
foundation for the minor areas. It all starts with being able to follow simple instructions. However,
there is a myriad of information to retain. Thus, you will need to be to do the following:
1. Evaluate your note taking ability
2. Improve your test preparation
3. Review Case Studies on Note Taking How would you evaluate your note taking ability?
I haven 't taken notes in a very long time. At work, I usually just jot things down on a note pad.
Then, when I 'm ready, I transcribe those notes into information. In high school, I was a fairly good
note taker, I think. I was organized, ready to listen, and free of distraction. If I had to evaluate
myself, I would say I 'm a "Fair" note taker. There is definitely room for improvement!
How can you improve your test preparation?
Overcoming anxiety about test taking is definitely going to be a challenge. I get very stressed,
irritated, and overall, crazy! So, to prevent a nervous breakdown, I am going to try to prepare early. I
am going to start focusing on the material before

Caila was now in the emergency room about to have her baby. "Owen" said the nurse, Owen walked
into room 1207. Caila was lying on the bed a baby girl in her arms. Owen was full of joy he was as
happy as he could ever be, Caila was smiling and staring at the baby as she said " I have came up

My Personal Experience In College
My first semester at the University of Evansville has been some of the best, yet hardest, days of my
life. I have made many new friends, joined clubs, attended events on campus, and worked out at the
gym, but along with all this fun came a lot of stress, hard work, and restless nights. Although I had
some rough times, I believe that taking ID 106 provided with me all the information I need to cope
when put into these situations and taught me how to avoid being put into stressful situations. Dr.
Powell lectured on positive psychology during the first week of ID 106, and I think that overall, this
was the most valuable lecture all semester. Coming into college, I knew it would be challenging, but
I do not think I realized exactly how challenging it would actually be. Dr. Powell's lecture on hope,
resilience, self–efficiency, and personal responsibility allowed me to cope in times of struggle. For
example, my first college exam was in chemistry. I studied hard for the exam, and I ended up getting
a "C". I was distraught, but then I remembered back to what I had been taught in ID 106. Instead of
moping around and harping on the bad, I decided to look at my test and figure out what I did wrong.
That way, I could correct my mistakes next time. After reviewing my first chemistry test, I realized
that I was still not in full understanding of why I missed some of the questions that I did. I knew
right then that I needed to talk to my professor, but he seemed intimidating, and I

Personal Note On Self Love And Confidence
When I was younger I didn 't know too much about self love and what it really meant. For as long as
I could remember I was always the heavier set girl with the gap. I was the funny girl, the friend to
all the guys. I was raised by my dad and brother, now don 't get me wrong my mother was in my life
but she missed my first homecoming , my first crush , even my first period. I did not realize until I
was a little older how much not having a woman around would and could even affect me.Without
her being there I didn't know how to value myself. Now at 23 I am just starting to get a grasp on
what self love and confidence is. I would say that I really started to struggle with self confidence
when I got to high school. When I was in middle school, I had a blast, but once I entered high school
everything changed. I went into it thinking these friendships would last forever. Boy, was I wrong. I
thought these years turn those friendships I had into the sisters I never had. All it did was give me
false ideas of self esteem and depression. I would go to school daily and walk down the hall with
some of the prettiest, most popular girls and guys of each grade, wishing I was them. High school
made me feel like because I wasn 't skinny with a perfect smile and the nicest clothes I wasn 't
pretty. Guys would always go for my friends who were smaller than me , didn 't have a gap , or wild
hair. While in high school I begin to develop insecurities about my weight and smile.I started to let

The Ethical Concepts Of The Antihero
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Our meaning of heroes and villains are continually evolving. In their anecdotal universes, there are
superheroes that are looked upon with profound respect and thought to be essential pioneers of
society, and there are superheroes that are looked upon with wariness or even scorn. Heroes and
villains often reflect one another in their forces and capacities; with the significant contrast that the
hero is utilizing his/her energy to help other people and the scoundrel is utilizing it for narrow
minded purposes. I will take a gander at a character that is a perplexing cross breed between these
two generalizations, to be specific the Antihero.
Presently the inquiry emerges, what is an Antihero? An anti–hero is a defective saint, and along
these lines, substantially more fascinating than the traditional stereotypical heroes. They can be
taking a shot along the edge of good, however with a deplorable imperfection, or a repulsive past.
They can likewise be working for the side of evil, however with concealed honourable aims, or
other basic complexities.
What is moral? Since characteristic and exact science rose and smashed our old otherworldly
method for comprehension the world, our ethical qualities are no more chose for us by a flat out
God, however something that we need to choose for ourselves. By which premises do we choose ...

Now this is what makes him an Anti–hero. The next point to be noted is that, Light is not the only
one who gets hold of a Death Note, but there is another person who falls in the same trap as Light, a
female, named Misa Amane, a young model, who is if anything more ruthless than Light. While
Misa has her own weaknesses, as she hopelessly falls in love with Light and calls it 'love at first
sight' and Light as expected takes advantage of her as she traded her half life for "shinigami

Persuasive Essay About Hallmarks

  • 1. Persuasive Essay About Hallmarks I love that too. We Hallmark fans enjoy getting to see actors we know and have interacted with on Hallmark and other networks. While network fans are great, there is something special about Hallmark fans. Definitely. I learned from Andrea mostly. I 'm not great on social media. She 's so awesome with her fans and gives them everything they want. She 's so loving to them, and they are just so awesome back. She has this great rapport with them, and obviously, the fans want to know what she 's up to behind the scenes. So we 'll be able to see you in Destination Wedding. Are you able to say what Garage Sale Mystery movie you 're in? Yes, it 's Garage Sale Mystery Murder Most Medieval. Oh, then that makes sense! I was thinking, "What are ... I was auditioning for stuff that I wasn 't always one hundred percent connected to. It came out of that. I wanted to work on something that I loved. I started writing, producing, and making short films. Then I started making feature films. And we had complete control over what we were making. And we kind of fell into this genre 'cause it 's just got those fans. And it is one where you don 't need to have superstars to sell the movie. So now we just have to distribute it. It 's available on iTunes and VOD in Canada now. We 're going to release it later on this month on iTunes and VOD and a bunch of platforms in the States. Well, you are definitely keeping busy with work and your son. So how have you been able to manage all the family stuff and keeping your career going? All I want to do is stay at home with the family. But it 's been nice that I 've been able to work enough to support us. Sarah 's actually working on a few things. We actually saw her at Christmastime. Yeah, she 's back auditioning, so you 'll see her some more. She had a pretty awesome year hanging out with Harry. It 's just nice to have her at home taking care of Harry. We 're going to try to keep that going. We 'll just start trading off. I 'll be a stay–at–home dad while she 's working, and then we 'll switch back. Sounds like both have things figured out pretty well. Not all parents figure it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. My Life My friends cheerfully laugh as they start piling into Brett's car. Today is my eighteenth birthday, and because now everyone in our friend group has hit this milestone, they decided that we should all go get tattoos. Brett wants and eagle on his arm, Jessica wants a butterfly on her back, and Ashley wants the word "Love" around her ankle. But as for me, I have absolutely no clue what I want. I'm staring at a wall, lost in my thoughts, when I hear Brett remark, "Yo Chris, let's go man!" I quickly snap out of my stupor and hike over to Ashley's car. The girls are playfully giggling on the inside as I climb into the back and shut the door. The girls start conversing as Brett starts driving, and I gaze out the window, trying desperately to ... I crawled through the morning classes, simply trying to push my way through the day. Lunch came, and I couldn't manage to find an empty table, so I sat on the floor up against the wall. But then, Brett, Ashley, and Jessica noticed me sitting on the ground, and they invited me to their table. I sat down with them, and began pulling out the contents of my lunchbox as they asked me my name and what grade I was. I answered politely, but then I started to bite into my sandwich. Suddenly, a wave of sorrow overtook me. My mom used to make my sandwiches. This was the first time in my life that my mom had not made my lunch for me. I started to cry; big, manly sobs in the middle of the cafeteria. It caught them off guard. Ashley asked me what was wrong and I told them the whole story. I half expected them to get up and leave me, but they stayed. They've stayed for the last two years. They helped me through my depression, and now they're my closest friends. I suddenly snap out of my flashback to the sound of the GPS telling us that we are set to arrive in five minutes. I quickly start thinking about what to get, rushed by this new deadline. Then, it hits me. I know exactly what I'm going to get. I want a bass clef, which is the clef where lower notes are written, followed by a sixteenth note to represent the low ... • 5. College Vs. High School Welcome to college! Congratulations on making it this far! Now the time comes to ramp up the ante! No such program as stepping up to college exists as it does for for high school. Oh wait! It's called high school. Move it or lose it now, your future rests on your shoulders. High school teachers just handed you your future based on the way you schooled, and college professors tell you to figure it out. College trips up hundreds of students a year, refrain from letting yourself become one of them. Your class strategies must improve as will your study habits and reading habits to fulfill new demands of college classes and avoid sliding into the pitfalls of doom. Umpteen million utilities and tricks to remember when it comes to college classes begin to surface if you google "college vs. high school". Sever Kvigne, a student at UWGB, tells us our first point regarding classes. Students too often skip class, Kviane says, and wind up failing (9/4/15). Attending class gleams success, regardless how simple catching back up by finding a friend and their notes may seem. Overthinking it, fabricating excuses, and debating reveal a descent into the pits; just go. You will ameliorate learning since your brain stores what you hear and correlates that to the image of your notes; the process of active learning. Honestly, where else can you learn the material this effectively? With note taking in mind, we explore what Rachael, Daigle, and Rachael, tell us that paraphrasing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Sacred Twins Movie Analysis Sacred Twins, Profane Treatment This is the story of the sacred twins, Thaues and Taous, and the events that lead to them becoming the attendants of the Apis bull, as recounted in a letter written by Ptolemaios to Ptolemy VI.The film is a tale of murder, betrayal, theft and the gods, and includes scenes daily Egyptian life that create ties between the modern viewer and ancient Egypt. One of the central themes of the film is the economic activity that surrounds spiritual life in Egypt and the temple complexes. Another major theme is the legal structure that developed in Egypt around economic activity and family law. These two aspects combine to form the major structure underpinning the girl's narrative, creating a fascinating look at life in Ptolemaic Egypt. Temple complexes in Egypts functioned as market places for a diverse range of goods and services. People would travel to the city of Sakkara to seek answers to their prayers, bringing coins with them that were quickly spent in the city. Pilgrims could purchase charms, potions, and favors from the gods, converting their gold or silver coins into a less–temporal, religious currency. This attracted merchants and craftsman to the temples, creating an entire economy devoted to serving the visitors. A ceremony such as the Apis bull funeral depicted in the film would draw in far greater numbers of pilgrims and provide an economic boom for the temple economy. To learn and understand Jesus's purpose to bring good news that will forgive us of our sins and bring help to those who are in need. 2. To discover our own purpose as we lead Christ centered lives, and learn how we can live out that purpose every day. Mission Prep ● Read through the Message from Command Center: Mission 3 before meeting. This isn't something that you will need to read to the group, but it is information for you to provide background that may be helpful for your students or to help you answer questions that may arise. ● It can be hard to predict how long a particular activity will interest a group. Prepare all four activities, but be flexible with what sparks the interest of your class. Be sure there is time to spend with Activity 3. ● This lesson will require the use of technology. Be sure to practice connecting your computer to the TV in your classroom before meeting. If you need assistance, or a compatible computer, contact AV at AV@faithumcop.org. Message from Command Center: Mission 3 Luke chapter 4 signifies a shift in Jesus' ministry, it is the beginning of his ministry in Galilee. Up to this point the focus has been on Jesus' birth and preparation for ministry, now he begins to live out his mission. This ministry that begins in Luke 4:14 will continue through 9:50. • 11. Pros And Cons Of Millennials In today's world, millennials consistently want to take the easy way out for everything. It seems such an easy way for them to accomplish things a lot quicker, yet they find they have a much higher rate of making mistakes. This idea happens so much that it is starting to affect their school work, causing them to not get as high of grades as they want or need. For years professors have debated whether hand written notes or computer notes are better. Both these methods have their pros and cons, but only one has been shown to improve a student's learning ability. Typing notes has shown to be favored by these millennials. This is because they tend to take short cuts in attempt to minimize time spent on everyday tasks and typing overall decreases the amount of effort applied. According to Plaza College, a reason students chose typed notes over handwritten is because of the needed time to type notes is less tasking. Typing the notes is quicker because most students entering high school or college have taken a computer typing class which enhances their ability to type quicker than they can write. Another pro of this method is the idea of quick access to the internet. For example, if a student is in class and the teacher starts explaining a topic that is unfamiliar with them they can quickly access the internet and get information on the topic. Along with pros to this method there are some cons for it too. Very few students see negatives in typing their notes. One major con for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Reasons behind Lucas´ Suicide in Good Hair Essay There are three reasons Lucas commits suicide, and each reason teaches an important lesson to Alice. The first reason is that Lucas felt that he had no identity and did not fit in with his peers and other social groups. Secondly, Lucas was not able to commit to relationships. The final reason is that Lucas felt a lot of guilt for attempting to rape Alice. While all of these reasons negatively affected Lucas and were the reasons behind his suicide, they also taught Alice valuable lessons which allowed her to make improvements to her life. If it was not for the lessons in identity, cultural perspective, and self worth, Alice would not have been able to move forward with the changes in her life. Growing up, she felt that she did not fit in with the black girls who berated her on the fashions of the white magazines that she wore every day to school. It wasn't until she started to embrace the stuck up group of girls in her school, that she could feel safe from being bullied. The notion of her childhood from her parents that the son should be smart and go to school while she should be satisfied because, "...it was enough, they said, that I was pretty". The death of Lucas allowed her to see that she had more control in figuring out where she belongs as a successful writer . In Alice's relationship with Miles, she had to submit to his will and not live a life that was fulfilling. The pleasures and the fashion that came with Miles' money, did not make her feel complete. In the same way, Lucas' death teaches Alice that she should not settle on things that did not add to her self worth. With Alice's identity, the role of fashion has always been a factor in her family's identity for her as a child. This role of fashion and beauty is also present in her understanding of the culture of black women in the tribe. As with the example of her grandmother who was abused by her grandfather with being "a beauty", Alice has learned from her family history that the preconceptions of what beauty is should not be something to shy away from or to use the term beauty as a way to fill the void in the way she lives her life. • 15. Blowing Bottle Tops: Making Music with Glass Bottles Have you ever wondered why glass bottles made a sound, kind of like a music note? Well, this paper will explain how this works. The paper will be talking about sound, sound waves, standing waves, musical note names and frequencies, resonance, and closed–end air columns. Closed–end air columns will be a main focus in the paper, studying the physics behind it. Glass bottles are an example of a closed–end air column. Therefore, the more water inside the bottle, the lower the note, and less water would be a higher note. Closed–end air can be many things; ranging from brass instruments, woodwind instruments, organ pipes, and flutes. These closed–end air columns cannot produce an even harmonic. It has a 1st harmonic, 3rd harmonic, and fifth harmonic. These harmonics are can be understood as, the 2nd harmonic being twice that of the 1st, and the 4th being four times that of the 1st . Sound is a wave, and a wave can be remembered as a medium, carrying energy from one point to another. The sound wave has a resemblance of a slinky in its nature, for many reasons. The disturbance goes from one place to another, carried by the medium. Typically, the medium will carry energy through the air, although it could be any substance like water and steel. There is an original source of the wave; anything from someone's vibrating vocal chords, or a tuning fork. Then, the sound is transported through the medium through particle–to–particle interaction. If the sound wave is moving through the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Out of the three pieces that the Artiste Orchestra prepared to the Masquerade Concert, Halloween Spooktacular, arranged by Bob Phillips, was definitely the hardest piece. Not only was it long, but it was fast and had passages with difficult fingerings. By no means have I perfected this piece, but I used several different practice techniques to help me master the fast tempo and difficult fingerings. The technique that I used the most was probably using a metronome. I would start by playing a passage very slowly, probably around 80–100 beats per minute depending on the passage. Then, once I had mastered the passage at that speed, I would increase the tempo by 10 beats per minute and practice the passage at that speed until I had mastered it. Then, I would increase the tempo another 10 beats per minute and repeat the same process. I would continue this same process until I had mastered that section at tempo. It was at these slower speeds that I could really focus on the little things, such as intonation, rhythm, dynamics and articulation because by focusing on these elements as slow speeds, it would be easier to bring them into the piece at faster speeds. Another practice technique I attempted to use to practice Halloween Spooktacular was playing along with a recorded version of the piece. This is a technique I used for several pieces last year because I find it helpful to hear all the parts of a piece, not just my own. Unfortunately, after one or two attempts to play along ... • 24. Dorothy Parkera Poem Analysis Coda by Dorothy Parker has a negative connotation on the view of life. It is accurate to describe this as someone who is very pessimistic, or even a little bit depressed. Therefore I made the tone of my melody very dark and not inspiring to reflect the personality of the poem. In each subsequent bar I decrease the initial note down by a note to represent how the author believes that there is no reason or motivation for living life. It is seen in each bar that I begin an upward trend with each initial note but towards the end of each bar I placed a chord that sounds like it is disrupting the flow of progress and motivation. I see pessimism as a dangerous entity that can harm the happiness of others and I believe it is clearly seen with the scheme in which I have wrote my melody. In the beginning of the 5th bar I begin an upward trend of each subsequent initial note that emphasizes the author's slight change in tone, form completely negative to only slightly negative, indicating that there might be a change in the author's thoughts. But as the melody continues to build up it all comes crashing down once the author wrote "throwing the battle", and "Would you kindly direct me to hell?". The decreasing melody of sixteenth–notes emphasizes the throwing of the battle. A battle is something that is built up and the end of a battle a victor is decided, but instead of building up the author decides to throw the battle. Finally, the last note represent "hell". Currently, there are only two teams left in the Bowl, Epiphany and Maxwell. The state superintendent asks a question about the meaning of calligraphy, and Noah buzzes in. • 30. Why Post-Its? Carmen Ramirez Dr. Lee English 1302– 7:30 am August 5, 2014 The Smallest Things Can Make A Difference I have chosen to study "Post–Its (Notes on Marriage)" by Winnie Holzman and Paul Dooley. This is a short drama in which a man and a woman go through some ups and downs in their relationship and it is being told by the post–it notes they left for each other. I believe this piece of literature is important because it shows the little details in a person's life and how they add up together. It is a great example in how such few little details can add up to how much you love someone. I have chosen this because I enjoy drama, character development, and it's ending. This is a drama that may seem "basic" but it holds so much depth in it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These characters grow as they suffer through marriage problems. When the woman leaves the man, which lets him learn his mistakes and to be grateful for the things they had. He writes, "Things to tell her. That I'm sorry. That I miss her. That all I want–all I ever wanted–is for her to be happy" (Dooley and Holzman 3). The man has learned and developed into a greater human being. Third reason I chose this was because it's a love story with a realistic happy ending. I am a sucker for romance and honestly this hit the spot and made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy. The characters grew old with each other. Isn't that what everyone hopes for in life? To find someone that will deal with them until the day they die? Well they did. The man has the last post–it, in which he writes, "You saved every Post–It I ever wrote you. I wish I'd saved yours. I could be reading them now. (Beat.) Back soon. Going to the store. We need milk " (Dolley and Holzman 4). Ever lasting love is shown in this post–it. This drama is touching to the heart as both the man and woman grow in their relationship. It shows meaning to the fact that life goes on no matter what happens and that things do get better. This story means so much because it shows that even through small communication so much is said. People need to remember what it is like to communicate and to remember that in the end it was all worth it. Works Cited Page Dooley, Paul, and Winnie Holzman. "Post–Its ... The characters in the story are hundreds of trolls along with one tiny fox. It is set in a deep dark, enchanted forest during night time. The key is B♭minor which the minor sound creates a scary and dark mood. This key had been associated with words such as obscure and gloomy and has also been associated with the image or mood of night time.. Right as the song starts it begins forte. This grabs the audience's attention straight away and scares the audience just like the trolls do to the fox. The dynamic portrays the dominant, scary nature of the trolls right from the first beat. This is also is goes hand in hand with the timbre. The song begins with a large group of strings and woodwind instruments playing, depicting all of the trees. They used lower sounding instruments, such as the bassoon and clarinet, to create a dark and scary sound. This allows for a fuller sound further allowing them to create scary, gloomy and intimidating atmosphere. The tempo is andante, an easy walking pace, which is fairly slow. However, having this tempo allows the portrayal of the trees to be large, heavy and slow moving. The melody itself has many rests in between the melody patterns. This helps depict the trolls being so stiff as they change from tree to troll, suggesting that they have been a tree for too long. This is also supported by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Comparison Of Final Love Note And Louise Gluck's Mock Orange The Importance of Language in Clare Rossini's Final Love Note and Louise Gluck's Mock Orange Love is such an abstract concept for the human mind to figure out. Along with the love of a mother for her child, there are many types of sensual love or brotherly love; friendship is frequently described as a type of love, as well. This abstraction can also be distorted and made to fit into categories that would normally be associated with negativity and abuse not "love." Think of why a woman will continually go back to an abusive spouse with the irrational reason that "he loves me." If he loved you, he wouldn't beat you...Would he? In a poem, the confusion seems only to extend, as writers will describe a beautiful event that is tainted by a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The word "wanton" is the first of three words that she uses in this poem that dramatically affect the tone of the poem. The Oxford English Dictionary defines "wanton" as being unruly, rebellious, and unmanageable. This definition is followed by another that has a relatively different meaning which is to describe someone or something that is dainty, fastidious, and playful. To place these definitions inside the poem, the reader can come out with two separate meanings to these first lines. One could take the first, which would mean that this relationship is peaceful and manageable. It is not out of control. By the second definition, however, the relationship is also not dainty, fastidious, or playful. To apply these definitions to the surface meaning of the poem makes sense, because a tree could not be playful or out of control. However, if a reader were to apply it to an intimate relationship, the relationship seems to have lost its luster. Perhaps, the participants are no longer as exciting as they once were. Rossini describes the tree's silence during the winter and continues with vivid imagery of "the slugs ate the yellow hearts/ Right out of my lilies, while you, elm, died on" (lines 11–12). This line gives an extremely emotional visualization of having your heart eaten out, figuratively, by someone that you love. Rossini's word choice in the next to last paragraph gives an even stronger impression that she is using the tree as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In today's society, many people are considering college to either advance their career, make a switch in jobs or start on a path to a more prosperous life. With that set in mind, questions comes to mind "how will I be successful in college? How can I pass all my classes with the best possible grade?" I, myself have had these exact thoughts, and through trial and error have learned some beneficial skills along the way. Three steps that have helped me get good grades and maintain them are attending classes, effective note taking, and time management. Firstly, attending classes is priority, and essential since lectures tend to discuss plenty of material in a short period of time. For example, in my psychology class which is three hours, once a week, we review about three chapters each class, then in next week's class we start on the following set of chapters, then a test is assigned the proceeding week. Along with reviewing the chapters we get handouts, and in the class notes that are not incorporated in the textbook chapters. These prove helpful when the test is assigned as they come from the professor who make the test. In addition, attendance is key because the instructor may amend the assignment or due date and you may not know about it. In my math class, we have a project that is due on March 28th except the professor was kindhearted enough to postpone it to April 7th. Only the people who were in class knew about this, as he did not send out an email, or update the due ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Caroline 90 Good overall. Watch out for the indication of the kind of bowstroke technique that Piatti asked for. Slower practice at the octave area. Think about the connection between each octave. When you are practicing also try to slide between two chord. Able to hear the slide while in slow practice and eliminated as you speed up will help you to have a more accurate intonation in the octave area. Ethan 90 Watch out for the tunning for the chrod. Personal Narrative-When Calls The Heart This season on "When Calls the Heart" has been a fantastic time of growth in the community, and many of the featured new faces have been the children of Hope Valley. Yet again, Hearties were introduced to a character named Robert who didn't get along with Cody in the beginning, but Miss Thatcher never gave up on him. With his signature curly hair and spot on facial expressions, we have not been able to overlook this character nor the boy who has infused him with life, Jaiven Natt. Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with this 11–year–old who has become a delightful part of this weekly Hallmark escape. What inspired you to become an actor at your age? I always thought actors had such fun on TV, and it was something I really wanted to do. We happened to hear about an acting camp, and my mom asked if I wanted to go. Of course I did, and we had to go to LA for the camp. My mom had a GPS to get us there, but we got lost. We stopped off at a store, and my mom wasn't sure we should keep going. I said I really wanted to go, and I begged her to keep going. And then we found the camp, and I had such a great time. My coach at the camp was a real $$#Break#$$ But after talking with this young man (who honestly has a delectable sense of humor and is quite grounded, thanks to his tremendous parents), there is no doubt in my mind that he is on the right course, and he is just the sort of person who will resonate with fans now and in the years to come. I would say to watch out for this young man as he is on a path that will ultimately bring him (and us) great joy and fulfillment. In their anecdotal universes, there are superheroes that are looked upon with profound respect and thought to be essential pioneers of society, and there are superheroes that are looked upon with wariness or even scorn. Heroes and villains often reflect one another in their forces and capacities; with the significant contrast that the hero is utilizing his/her energy to help other people and the scoundrel is utilizing it for narrow minded purposes.
