In Spain, Samana Santa is the most spectacular one–week celebration of Easter that I have ever

After researching and talking to the Sevillanos, I found that the Nazarenos have been dressing like
this for more than 500 years, which is well before KKK originated. There is no defined link between

Funerary Scenes were the most common scenes in the New kingdom tombs as they were
represented on the walls of the longitudinal corridor (Passage) until the reign of Anenhotep III as
they were illustrated on the walls of the transverse hall. Funerary scenes included many consecutive
events started with purification process, mummification, and transportation of the deceased body to
the tomb through a funerary procession after the pilgrimage to Abydos then opening of the mouth
ritual in front of the tomb as one of the burring rituals.

The Dionysian Procession on the Florence Cup The Dionysian procession depicted on the Florence
Cup basically depicts Dionysus being carried by his slaves on the phallus. In the light that Dionysus
was a Greek god, the depiction on the cup provides a reflection of personality, that was developed in
Greek myths and epics, as well as the rituals of worship that dominated the society. Although the
rituals performed by the Greek were suited to enhance divine personality, they can hardly be seen as

INTRODUCTION
City Dionysia, also referred to as Great Dionysia, was an ancient dramatic festival and was, by far,
the most spectacular of the Bacchic festivals. The festival was held in Athens on the Elaphêboliôn
9th to 13th days, which ideally would be on the last days of March in the contemporary calendar.
The festival was carried out in honor of Dionysus, the god of wine and pleasure. The celebration
allowed individuals to stop working, drink wine, and dine while enjoying or participating in a
number of ceremonies, processions, divine acts and theatrical presentations. The festival was open
to all and was attended by Athenian citizens as well as visitors.

Dionysus was said to be the son of the most powerful of all gods, Zeus, and a mortal woman,
