2. Test Screenings
A test screening is a preview screening that is done before a films main release in order to determine
the reaction of the audience and they are usually required to provide feedback afterwards. Test
screenings are very important in the film industry because many studios have become increasingly
more dependent on these research screenings; sometimes altering large parts of their films as a
result. The feedback and criticism received through test screenings can go a long way in helping to
determine how a film will be presented to the public.

3. Target Audience
The target audience for our film consists of males and
females aged between 15-35 that are mostly either in the
C1 or C2 class. I found out our target audience through
analysing statistics found on Pearl & Dean (pictured) as well
as conducting my own primary research into our target
audience which can be found on my journal.
4. Feedback: Pitch Presentation
When we presented our pitch to the rest of the class, we
then received verbal feedback from our peers which I
listed on my journal (pictured). This feedback was useful
as it helped us to identify our strengths and weaknesses
and work on them, as we developed our story idea to
give it more depth and considered what the whole film
would be about.
5. Feedback: Rough Cut
When we screened our rough cut and showed the
first drafts of our poster and magazine cover we
received feedback sheets filled out by the peers in my
class. The feedback we received from our rough cut
was helpful to our editing process for all of our
products as it raised any of the issues we may have
not noticed before such as many members of the
class were unhappy with some of our font choices, as
well as being confused as to what genre we were
trying to convey. This feedback caused us to change
the font and some of the images on our magazine
cover.
7. Feedback: Final Screening
After our final screening our classmates left their
feedback as YouTube comments on Amyโs upload
of the video. This feedback is useful as it shows
that members of our target audience would bel
likely to enjoy our film as the feedback received
form our peers was very positive and proved that
we had created synergy between our products. It
gave us an insight into how a real audience would
respond to our product as everyone who gave
feedback fit into the target audience group we
were aiming for.
