Risk Type Details of Risk Ways to minimise risk Person(s) Responsible
Tripping over wires or
cabling
Due to that fact that I will be using both
cameras and lighting there will be multiple
wires that will have to be left on the floor
that could easily be a hazard for tripping.
Tape all of the wires to the floor using a brightly
coloured tape. Not only will this make the wires
stand out by making them more noticeable, it
will also reduce the movement of the wires too.

Leaving any of the
lighting on
An electrical fire could be caused by the
different lights getting too hot and
overheating.
Making sure that the lights are only switched on
when we are using them, and to ensure they
are switched off whenever we leave them
unattended/no longer need them.

Damage to equipment As I will be using a lot of expensive
equipment (taking it out of the school
premises) there is definitely a risk that some
of it could break or become damaged.
Making sure that anyone within my production
does not take the equipment for granted, and
running regular checks to ensure that all of the
equipment is still in good condition.

Faulty equipment The equipment I plan to use may not be
working correctly, meaning that I would not
be able to film my footage properly.
Check all of the equipment prior to filming, and
then replace any of the equipment that is not
working correctly.
