2. Colours:
The colours that I will choose to use within my music video will vary. I plan to
demonstrate a contrasting colour scheme between the two characters within my
video in order for the audience to be able to identify the differences between them,
and how they, as different characters are dealing with their ‘situation’ differently.
For my protagonist (Andrei) I will have him wear mainly dark colours such as: black,
grey, maroon and navy blue and this is because I want to show him as the sadder
character, whereas Emily will be wearing brighter colours such as: white, blue and
baby pink in order for her to have a more joyful appearance. The use of the dark
colours will bode well with the darker tone to the lyrics of the song and also the
narrative I am trying to reflect.
3. Setting:
The setting I will use for my music video will be within one location, but around
different parts of the same location. I plan to film my music video at the
‘Rickmansworth Aquadrome.’ I think this will be an ideal location due to the fact that
there is a lot of forest area, which will tie in well with both my song lyrics, the artist
mise-en-scene and the narrative I am trying to portray. I also feel as though this
location will be ideal for the types of shots I wish to use as it will be in a large open
space with many things around such as a lake, trees, flowers, old benches and old
fashioned buildings. As well as this, the location is ideal for the colours I would like to
use as there will be parts of the woods that are a lot darker than others.
