ABSTRACT :
Extracting and understanding of emotion is of high importance for the interaction among human and
machine communication systems. The most expressive way to display the human's emotion is
through facial expression analysis. This paper presents and implements an automatic extraction of
facial expression and emotion from still image. There are steps to detect the facial emotion; (1)
Preprocessing,skin color segmentation and edge detection using Sobel filtering and (2) Verifying the
emotion of characteristic with Bezier curve.Retriving emotion using sparse codewords which are
used to analyze this results in medicine, and enhancement in CBIR.
To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we assess the ratio of success with
emotionally expressive facial image database. Experimental results shows average 66.6% of success
to analyze emotion.

ultimately surprised by the outcome, my end product was a trickster. The raised eyebrow however
led to a smirk which ultimately led to the name Draco; a genus of reptiles, very apt for my character.

dedicated to stealing a picture of ''Zefron– Zac Efron", when ripped, Draco had to flip suddenly.
I drew upon the counter mask exercises we had developed in rehearsals. Changing everything that
made Draco who he was. His ever–present sneer faded into a frown and a wail.
To achieve Draco's mannerism and voice I charged my mask. Copying the arched eyebrow on the
mask I found a nasally voice with an added scoff at the end. I then began to work on my inner
dramatic monologue.
I wanted to keep in mind that Draco thought himself above everyone else hence a simple inner
monologue; "I am surrounded by idiots...peasants, they should be quivering in my mere presence."
Getting the temperament of Draco however was difficult. Despite embodying the arlecchino mask I
wanted Draco to keep an air of authority, the temperament I chose for Draco was Choleric "This
way follow me, follow me this way now!".
All the exercises and techniques I used to develop Draco greatly helped me in perfecting his
character, from Lecoq's 7 states to chekov's centres.

detection from a sequence of images []. Majority of accidents reported are due to driver fatigue. One
of the important parameter to be detected to measure the driver's alertness is to track his/her eyes in
the given image sequence. Eye detection is an active research area in computer vision. Applications
can range from face detection to biometrics. Canthus (Eye corners) is a very stable feature that can
be constantly detected from a facial image irrespective of the eye status or gaze direction. Canthus is
initially defined and treated as a corner (interest point). Interest point detectors like Harris and
SUSAN are being studied and discussed in this report. These corner detectors are evaluated to find

temporal dynamics of the face. Temporal dynamics denotes to the timing and time length of facial
actions. The significant terms that are used in joining with temporal dynamics are: onset, apex and
offset. These are known as the temporal segments of an expression [40]. Onset is the instance when
the facial expression starts, apex is the point when the expression is at its peak and offset is when the
expression fades away (start–of–offset is when the expression starts to fade, and the end–of–offset is

Postman in "The Postman Dreams" and Candy in Prada Candy short films help the consumer to get
an idea of how the advertised products would be in a real life. The character of Candy is a young,
playful, frivolous and eccentric girl who eats sweets throughout all series. Figure 1 shows the first
scene of the Prada Candy film where Candy is on date eating a banana split desert. This scene is an
introduction of the Candy character and it helps the viewer to get an idea of her as a person and the
product in general. The pink color of her dress and the banana split desert signify childishness and
carelessness to some extent. The 'banana split' scene tells the potential customer that it is possible to
get two guys around after the purchase of Prada Candy perfume. Based on the book by ....... the
"Ways of Seeing" such method makes the spectator dream about all possible situations that the
advertised product could bring into their lives. The same method was also used in Prada "The
postman Dreams" film in order to maximize the desire of the potential customer to own the product.
In the "The Postman Dreams" series the Galleria bag was used by different characters, which gave
the viewer a bigger field for imagination. However, the movie has a main character– the Postman
who servers a role of a connecting element between all series. The movie director chose a postman
as a main character of the film because "A postman visits hundreds of lives for 10 seconds at a time
when they deliver the mail". The postman was visiting all the dreaming worlds that were presented
in the series and he was dreaming up the fantastic lives for the people he meets there. There is a

Culture, the way of life of a group of people is a very important aspect of human existence. Indeed
the culture of a certain people is extremely significant to them that they strive as much as possible to
prevent its extinction by passing it down from one generation to another. Over the centuries, oral
telling , art making and subsequently writing have been methods of passing and preserving culture
and then recently film making. The film and the media have proven to be an extremely strong factor

The Australian film industry has over the years revolutionized from what was called a silent era, to
the sound era and then the new wave. The silent era as the name implies featured film making
without the use of sound while the sound era introduced the addition of sound to films. From the
years 1906 to 1911, Australia happened to be the most prolific producer of feature films in the
world. As at this period in time, Australian producers had easy access to cinema screen because of

Introduction
Cleft lip is formed when a baby's nose and mouth do not form properly in the womb. These children
are born with deformations to the mouth and nose. There are four main types of cleft lip that involve
incomplete single and double clefts and also complete single and double clefts that cause
deformations completely into the child's nose. This can cause complications for the child to eat and

In any case the molding does not work as properly as it should the cleft lip or palate may require
surgery, but will require drastically less surgeries that a baby that did not use the brace to help mold
