2. CAMERA
This is an establishing shot of the setting the scene is filmed in. this is
used to give the audience an Insight of what the atmosphere is
supposed to be like. It is also shot at a high level. This is to expand the
view of the audience. The camera tracks so the audience feel like they
are walking through the setting making them feel like they are actually
living it.
This shot is taken at a low angle. This is to give the audience another
perspective as there previously was a shot at a high angle. The camera pans
also letting the audience see the setting.
This is a still close up which is used here so the audience can focus on the
actors facial expression and try to identify with what they’re feeling giving
them the ability to understand their situation.
3. EDITING
The technique used to edit the scene here is called
shot reverse shot. This is used during the
conversation so the audience can follow what is
being said while seeing their facial expression
keeping both characters in view.
4. MISE - EN - SCENE
The setting is shown to the audience by the banner that is stuck on the
ceiling. The setting gives the audience some idea on what type of people the
characters are materialistically.
There is artificial lighting added on top of natural lighting as there are
flashes from the cameras (props). This is to make the scene look realistic.
The costumes used are elegant and smart. This also is a representation
of the lives these characters live and helps the audience build up a
profile on them.
5. SOUND
Throughout this scene, there is music In the background from the girls
singing on stage. The music is symbolic of the mood and atmosphere of
the room which builds the tone of the scene.
During this shot there is diegetic sound used as there is speech coming
from a character in the scene calling out to the main character. Diegetic
sound/ background noise makes the scenes seem more realistic.
Over this shot there is a voice over. The voice over is telling the audience
about what is not obvious just by looking at the screen. It also adds to the
realism as they are at an award ceremony
