SNICKERS INTRODUCTION
• Snickers is a unique way of advertising and having comedy definitely helped it become a
memorable commercial advertiser. This is the slogan "You're not you when you are
hungry" has created meaning and questioning all over the world. Through the increase of
sales and popularity of the snickers candy bar we see that Snickers truly does satisfy.
• In addition to this it relates to young children as they use Mr. Bean who has big impact
towards young kids because he's a funny character and the switch between him and the
other character the ninja shows and makes young kids think that they are super hero's or
someone strong.
• Snicker adverts mostly attract people who are in the industry to show that not just ordinary
people eat snicker and everyone likes it in their own way.
• We all have moments when we are not feeling ourselves - irritable, whiney, bad tempered.
We would firmly place the blame for these moments at hunger's door, positioning Snickers
as the hunger-busting solution to make sure you stay on top of your game. This is taken
from snickers marketing.
TYPE OF ADVERT
Snickers Better is an exploitable comic meme in which a dilemma is solved by eating a Snickers candy bar, which typically
feature different celebrities and other notable figures.
Format of snickers: the format is surreal as it has Mr bean as the face of the advert this simply promotes the humour of
the character however that was not the only humours advert snickers have advertised as it has once before included a
women throwing a snickers bar and two men in a gym the contrast between the two is that they are both humours and
contain the same time length.
Purpose: the purpose of the advert is to promote snickers whilst keeping the audience entertained
Platform: they are accessible via TV, Cinema Adverts and YouTube.
Target Audience : snickers are targeted to all age groups.
Mode Of Address: mode of address is informal towards the viewers because they are no sophisticated words used.
Slogan: you're not you when your hungry this is presented by the ninja not being Mr bean
Technique: is that the advert is humours and people are entertained by that when they watch it because it contains a
comedian who makes people laugh.
