2.  Ruth Becker's problem is that the ship had
hit the iceberg, then she had went to the
deck and it was chaotic.
 Next adversity was that she couldn't find
her husband, also her oldest daughter
couldn’t get on the same lifeboat as her
mom

3. Ruth Becker
She overcame her adversity because she had confidences in her child also
she believed that her husband can come out safe

4. Victor; Seventh Grade
 Victors adversity is that he likes a girl
named Teresa, but he doesn`t know how to
talk to her .
 The next problem is that Victor takes a
French class, but he doesn`t know how to
speak French. Also he tries to act like he
knows how to speak French

approaching her in
a good way and
trying to talk to her

6. Zebra
Zebra adversity is that he loved to
run, then one day he got injured
running down the hill

 He over came his adversity by figuring out how to deal with his
problem and then he got help from John Wilson

8. Reflections
The three characters I choose were Jonas from The Giver, Victor from
“Seventh Grade”, and Zebra (also known as “Adam”) , all had to face
different adversities.
They were able to overcome their adversities with the support of others, and
the confidence they found in themselves.
If you try really hard to reach your goal its possible.
