2. The Giver/ Jonas :
Adversities
 Jonas was elected The Receiver who of
which restored memory.
 While he was restoring , he found out that
his dad killed a baby.

3. The Giver/ Jonas : Solution
 He took his brother ( Gabriel ) away from
the community and they were never seen
again.

4. Lance Armstrong /
Adversities
 He was diagnosed with cancer.
 He missed riding his bike.
 He was lonely in the hospital.

5. Lance Armstrong /

Solution
He was sent to the Indiana University
Medical Center in a relentless attack against
cancer.
 He survived.
 He won a 7th Tour de France in 2005 .
 The 2004 race he won , no one else had
succeeded in winning a 6th tour.
 He had a nurse one could only dream of when
he was ill. Her name was Latrice Haney. She
told him something one day that was the
loveliest things he had ever heard.

6. The People Could
Fly/ Sarah :
 She was aAdversitiessaved
slave , she needed to be
quickly or she would die.
 She had a child and when he cried the master
would strike them both with the whip.
 The child would cry and cry , but Sarah
couldn’t stop working or else she would be
whipped even more.
 She wished she could get away but she didn’t
know how.

7. The People Could
Fly/Sarah: Solution
 An old man came and said magic words to a
few people.
 It gave them the power to fly.
 They all including Sarah , soared away with
her child and never came back.

8. Conclusion
 Everyone had different adversities. Lance
Armstrong had a fatal disease , but survived .
Sarah ( a slave ) was saved from enslavement.
Zebra broke his arm , but found a positive way
to channel his pain.
