Examples Of Diversity In One Amazing Thing
Tragedies bring forth unity despite diversity.
"Unity in diversity is the highest possible attainment of a civilization, a testimony to the most noble
possibilities to the human race. This attainment is made possible through passionate concern for
choice, in an atmosphere of social trust." (Michael Novak). When we try to recognize our common
passivity, it may be frightening at first, but it can inspire us to put forth acts of affection, warmth and
give birth to the desire of standing united to support one another. Stress, often considered repugnant,
may act as an opportunity for us to experience the most wonderful characteristics of life,
connections and fondness. Solidarity, despite our differences often leads us to feel stronger and aids

This can be seen through various examples like that of the villagers in Khuswant Singh's 'Train to
Pakistan', who experienced a great sense of togetherness after receiving a trainload full of corpses,
despite their cultural and religious differences. They supported and provided comfort to one another
in tough times and proved that unity is the ultimate boon. The author would like to conclude by
saying that while personal or political squabbling might dominate during times of peace, people put
their differences aside when they face an external enemy and emerge as a much stronger unit,
experiencing the feelings of kindness and unspoken affection for one another. Thus, tragedies are
successful in bringing forth unity even in the presence of

How Did Adam Goodes Influence Australia
Adam Goodes
Sports have been a part of the Australian culture for as long as we can remember. Adam Goodes is
one major example of our success in Sports. A member of Indigenous Team of the Century and
Sydney Swans, he professionally plays in The Australian Football League. Holding a dual
Brownlow Medal, dual premiership player and four–time All–Australian, he represents Australia in
the International Rules Series.
Adam Goodes, born 8th of January of year 1980, age 35, is one of the most revered AFL players in
our history. Born to Lisa May and Graham Goodes, with siblings Jake and Brett in South Australia,
he began to play Australian rules Football at Merbein West Primary School at the tender age of 6.

Standing at 191 cm and weighing 100 kg, Goodes, though part–aboriginal, has impacted the
Australia's sporting and cultural activity. Goodes was once controversial for his style of playing, he
retaliated with a no. He will not change his way of playing though there are critics. Goodes did a
pretty good job in his field, earning encouragement and followers. Outside his football career, he is
an active advocate of Anti–Racism and Charity. He founded the Go Foundation. Goodes is affiliated
with charity. He raised $27,000 for his aid organization. Goodes often spoke out for improved race
relations and says that he is a proud "Adnyamathanha man," He became involved in an incident on
May 24, 2013, during Sydney's Indigenous Round match against Collingwood, when a 13–year–old
girl sitting in the stands called him an "ape." Goodes stopped play to point out the girl to security
and demand that she be ejected. Though he clarifies that he has not pointed her out to have everyone
against her, but rather he even asked that people support the girl much as they support him. He
stated that he did what he did because the girl and the people who heard may be educated and a
situation like it never happens again. "That opportunity to not only educate a 13–year–old girl but

India 's National Language, Pakistan
There was incredible suffering that the Partion of India caused in areas of Birtish India through
exchanges of population ...Dealing in various ways with the human tragedy endured by people on
both sides of this newly created border. One of the best, and perhaps most famous, partition story
clearly reveals this sense of bewilderment,"Toba Tek Singh" was written in Urdu, Pakistan's national
language, by Sadat Hasan Manto, a Kashmiri who left his home in 1948 and moved to Karachi,
Pakistan's capital. The story recounts the effects of partition on a very particular portion of the
population.
The 1955 short story, writen by Saadat Hasan Manto, was based on inmates of lunatic asylums
being split in the wake of the Partition – with Hindu and Sikh inmates being transferred to India and
Muslim inmates going to Pakistan. It focused on a particular inmate, Bishan Singh. Bishan Singh is
a Sikh inmate who, fifteen years earlier, had gone mad and was admitted to the asylum by his
family. Everyone in the asylum called him Toba Tek Singh, the name of his village. Almost bald, his
legs swollen, because he is always seen standing and occasionally leaning against the wall, he had
the habit of speaking this nonsensical phrase, "Uper the gur gur the annexe the bay dhayana the
mung the dal of the laltain." No one could understand what the gibberish meant but it may be the
message Manto tries to display, that the partion is nonsense. From the story we learn a little bit
about Bishan's family and

Synopsis Of The Novel ' Train On Pakistan ' By Khushwant...
The well–known novel 'Train to Pakistan' initiates study on theme of partition. This story opens the
phase of political hatred, violence and sectarianism in a brilliant and realistic way. Related to those
decisive or fateful days, which were brought by the British Raj followed by destruction, death and
deracination for the north of the subcontinent; Khushwant Singh refers to the fact that India might
have gained independence then, but the price they paid for it was 'Partition'. The strength and the
power of unity were deliberately divided between the two nations. It depicts the pitiful tale of
individuals and communities suffered in the revolution of Partition. 'Tran to Pakistan' illustrates the
agony suffered on both sides of the political boundaries–India and Pakistan after the partition.
In general, partition uprooted the whole country and it is described as one of the deadliest
experience the natives ever had of leaving their belongings behind and adapting the idea of new
land, which was not theirs. The harrowing and spine chilling events of 1947 had shaken the faith of
the people in the innate human beings. It had driven them into the state of wonder over what man
has made of man. To Khushwant Singh, this was a period of great disillusionment and crisis of
values, a distressing and disintegrating period of his life. The belief he had cherished all his life was
shattered. Giving strength to his inner struggle and agony, he says: "I had believed in the innate

India 's A Growing Economic System
For this research report, I want to further the understanding of the Indian attitude, external
opportunities and threats of entrepreneurship, and how the International world and India is
progressing with entrepreneurs. I have an interest in being in working internationally, after gaining
more experience in the corporate/sales area of a company, which is one of the reasons I chose to
explore this topic on an international level. This paper will cover some basics of entrepreneurship in
India.
In India they have a growing economic system. Global Edge states that in 2011, "India's estimated
GDP was $1.843 trillion with 7.8% growth (Global Edge). Then another measurement was taken in
2013; according to the CIA, India's GDP is about $4.99 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although India has some of the biggest billionaires living there, more than 30%–50% of the people
in India live below the poverty line on about 50 cents a day. It is a high poverty rate, the highest
among all the BRIC countries. In India this problem is growing and becoming more unbalanced.
This is an issue because of the caste system in India. This castes system makes it extremely difficult
for one to change social classes. Women also have a problem when trying to break into the
workplace, because it is something that is seen as taboo. I recall in a TED TALK that was shown in
a class of mine, it showed how women and lower class citizens of India were learning about IT and
how they were being taught simple key logging types of work in hopes of the availability of the jobs
will help balance the distribution of income through the lower classes.
The key sectors of the company in India are listed as agriculture (17.4%), industry (25.8%), and
services (56.9%). Many belonging to the lower class in India are farmers and they spend quite some
time selling their produce which proves to be a difficult tasks since many rural areas do not have the
means to provide efficient transportation (i.e. underdeveloped roads). Because of this, many of their
produce go bad/expire before they make it to the market. The main agricultural products that are
produced in India are rice, wheat, oilseed, cotton, jute, tea, sugarcane, lentils, onions, potatoes; dairy

How Women Are Treated in India
In many parts of the world females still have very little rights. Indeed, equality between men and
women have been accepted by the majority of the developed countries, but developing countries
still struggle to see women as equals to men, and India is one of the worst. Currently, the Indian
National Congress Party is only 10% female, limiting the say women get. In India, women are
definitely not seen as equals to men are being treated like second rate citizens. It also really says
something about the inequality in a country when its women are so used to being treated badly most
of them do not even recognize that they have rights. In India, men were always valued more than
women, which is why an estimated ten million female foetuses are aborted every year. The lack of
females in areas leads to crimes like human trafficking for sexual reasons like giving birth to more
children. Old traditions and beliefs are the main reasons to why millions of female foetuses are
aborted every year, but it is also the reason behind bride burning, another serious issue in India.
Bride burning, also known as dowry death occurs quite frequently in India. It is when the husband
or the in–laws decide that the dowry the bride offers is not enough and demands more. If the bride
refuses or is financially not able to increase her dowry, she is tortured until she either agrees or dies;
otherwise she is murdered by her "family". The husbands and the in–laws usually disguise the
deaths as accidents or

Consequences of the Campaign of Appropriating Agricultural...
The article conveys concern over the arbitrary usurpation of agricultural land by foreign companies
in developing nations. This is dangerous. This development not only has the social and economic
outcome but would give birth to political clash also, sooner or later. The land vultures have cast their
evil eyes on India's land now. The anger of people in developing countries would explode against
the international community unless the concerned authorities pay heed to this impending danger.
During his recent China visit, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh extended invitation to China to set
up special economic zone (SEZ) and economic park in India. He is expecting foreign direct
investment from Beijing to manufacture production in India that is ... Show more content on

Imagine the flag of the company of the foreign country flying there on the land in your
neighborhood bought by the foreign companies.
Now please do not laugh at this! This is really happening. In 'Trans Atlantic talks', America and
Europe demanding for their companies to be accorded the status of the national state. If this
happens, there is every likelihood of the scenario that not merely the tribal and the local citizens but,
big industrialists might also be expected to pay 'Guard of Honor' on visiting such places.
Land grab by foreign companies made easier by new laws
We would gradually find ourselves surrounded by international borders. Land vultures have now
cast their evil eyes on Indian land. The preparations are afoot in full to grab land. Acquiring land has
been made easier for foreign companies with the passing of new land acquisition land. "20 years
from hence, we would not feel the need of Land acquisition act", says the Rural Development
Minister Jairam Ramesh. This is true. Land will not be available by then. United Nation and World
Bank are keeping mum over the land–grab proposal. However, they have said to bring in the land
grabbers within the ambit of the code of conduct.
The warning was sounded by the then Chinese premier Wen Jiabao in 2011 against this move. He
had remarked "The rights of farmers cannot be sacrificed for reducing investment cost of
industrialization and urbanization. He further said

Indian Response To The Us Rebalancing Strategy
The Indian Response to the US Rebalancing Strategy
India has been considered as a crucial factor in the US Rebalancing Strategy. On a visit to India,
former US Secretary of Defence Leon Panetta referred to India as the 'lynchpin' of the US Strategy
in Asia. Yet another US government report stated that, "The United States is also investing in a
long–term strategic partnership with India to support its ability to serve as a regional economic
anchor and provider of security in the broader Indian Ocean region." With the US pushing for closer
ties with the country, India on the other hand has been quite observant of the changing geopolitical
scenario in its surrounding and has taken a pacifist approach so far. India's former Defence Minister
A. K Antony, in response to Panetta, highlighted the necessity to enhance the multilateral security
architecture in the Asia Pacific, but at the same time also emphasised that the necessary steps should
be taken 'at a pace comfortable to all the countries concerned'.
In order to further understand India's stance on the issue, it would be interesting to observe and
analyze the following table in which four foreign policy approaches were estimated with respect to
the Indian response within the country towards the US Rebalancing Strategy. They are laid in the
table below along with various other factors that were taken into consideration :–

After his death in 1560, the same was handed over to Mehraj. Mehraj's grandson Mohan was
pestered by Muslim Bhattis and he left Bidowali for some time in 1618 and came to the Bathinda
area. According to one description, Mohan and his son Roop Chand laid their lives in 1632 during a
fight with Muslim Bhattis. Mohan's son Kala was also an ardent follower of the sixth Guru. When
Shah Jehan's army attacked the Guru in 1635 at Lehra near Mehraj, Kala along with his clan sided
firmly with him. The Guru ended victorious. A happy Guru Har Gobind asked Kala Brar to fence as
much land he wanted to. By evening, Kala had marked twenty–two villages and put his fence

and owners of this area removed his fence and threw it into a well. When Kala complained against
this to the Guru, he remarked: "Bhai Kala, your roots have reached to the other world." Hence, Kala
founded a village and named it as Mehraj.

Have We Taken Our Independence for Granted? Essay
HAVE WE TAKEN OUR INDEPENDENCE FOR GRANTED ?????
Today as we freely move around in our country without anyone questioning or imposing any kinds

THAT CORRUPTION? These are just few examples. As we all know, there are thousands of other
things going on in our country. Infact, nowadays we are so used to it that we don't even hesitate
speaking about it openly. Why? Why cant even one of us take a stand? We should always remember,
"Even one person can make a difference".
Prof. Nital Kothari of H.R. College quoted, "A nation which has forgotten the quality of courage
which in the past has been brought to public life is not as likely to insist upon or regard the quality

"Politics is a gutter", "Our politicians are useless", "God knows what will happen about this
country's future". These are a few dialogues which are said by at least 90% of our country. Why?
Instead of us saying all this, why don't we oursleves as responsible individuals go and enter that

mostly each person of our country. That's where the problem lies. None of us, simply, none of us

other person to shoulder the responsibility. We always keep on abusing the politicians for not doing

The Accidental Prime Minister By Sanjaya Baru
"The Accidental Prime Minister" by Sanjaya Baru, published in 2014, is an account of former
Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's two terms in office. Sanjaya Baru was appointed as

book is in the form of a political memoir. The book's narrative follows a chronological format,
painting a picture of Dr. Singh's terms in UPA 1 and UPA 2.
In the introduction to his book, Baru proclaims that none of his predecessors at the Prime Minister's

who almost arouses our sympathies because of his ineffectiveness in functioning as the Prime

Mohandas Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Mahatma Gandhi
(1809–1849)
Biography
Mohandas K. Gandhi was born in 1869, in Porbandar, India. His mother was illiterate, but her
common sense and religious devotion had a lasting impact on Gandhi's character. As a youngster,
Mohandas was a good student, but he never displayed any signs of leadership. On the death of his
father, Mohandas travelled to England to gain a degree in law. He became involved with the
Vegetarian Society and was once asked to translate the Hindu Bhagavad Gita. This classic of Hindu
literature awakened in Gandhi a sense of pride in the Indian scriptures.
Around this time, he also studied the Bible and was struck by the teachings of Jesus Christ –
especially the emphasis on humility and forgiveness. He remained committed to the Bible and
Bhagavad Gita throughout his life, though he was critical of aspects of both religions.
Gandhi in South Africa
On completing his degree in Law, Gandhi returned to India, where he was soon sent to South Africa
to practise law. In South Africa, Gandhi was struck by the level of racial discrimination and injustice
often experienced by Indians. It was in South Africa that Gandhi first experimented with campaigns
of civil disobedience and protest; he called his non–violent protests satyagraha. Despite being
imprisoned for short periods of time, he also supported the British under certain conditions. He was
decorated by the British for his efforts during the Boer war and Zulu rebellion.

India 's Partition After Independence

Question: Examine the process of state creation in India through the lens of the short story– 'Toba
Tek Singh' written by Saadat Hasan Manto
Toba Tek Singh, a story about India's partition after independence written by Saadat Hasan Manto,
gives the readers an insight into the harsh realities of the process of state creation. Through the non–
judgmental and sardonic tone of the narrative, Toba Tek Singh compels the reader to think deeper
about India's birth as a nation. India's partition into two different countries purely on the basis of
religion (Manto, 2011, p. 70) gives us a reality check into how willing we are to accommodate
diversity. Toba Tek Singh urges the readers to ponder over the fact that state creation is an issue
beyond the mere geographical demarcation of borders, because it does not account for the

State creation involves political ideas and the struggle for power taking precedence, with little or no
regard for the opinion of citizens. This means that the state is not being conceived as the sum total
of its people and their interests, but a framework within which power can be exercised. This is
evident in the very first line of the story which says that India and Pakistan had decided to
"exchange" their lunatics, in the very same way in which they had exchanged their criminals

As Sikh Genocide And The Sikh Massacre
as Sikh Genocide
"Never forget 1984"
Many years has been passed but still when we read the Sikh genocide in 1984, our eyes filled with
the tears.
The 1984 Sikh riots also known as the Sikh Massacre or the genocide of Sikhs, started after the
murder of Indira Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India by her own two Sikh bodyguards. The reason
behind this was to take the revenge from Mrs. Gandhi as it was her decision to have an attack on the
Golden Temple, one of the biggest holy place of the Sikh community. Her order was named as
Operation Blue Star, motivated to take out terrorists who had blocked off themselves inside the
temple. (Kundu 2017). As the result of this army attack many of the Sikh buildings of Amritsar were

when arrived at the scene, the people started throwing the stones at his representative. Before the
Nanavati Commission, DP Gulati belongs to Hindu religion confirmed that the crowd outside the
hospital was controlled by Arjun Das (Congress party councillor). From October 31, evidences and
police records revealed that violence against Sikhs did not result into any deaths and was just
normal violence that was only limited to the zone where the body of Indira Gandhi was kept. The
Ruling Congress party organized a careful plan and put it into action with their local followers to
kill the Sikhs of Delhi on the night of 31st October and early morning of 1st November. Congress
leaders held assemblies with the purpose of rallying local supporters to start the massacre against
the Sikhs. It is also revealed that massacre of Sikhs did not start the day of the murder of Prime
Minister. Congress leaders cleverly assembled a network of planned gangs for rallies and those
same people were responsible for the Sikh riots, according to Rajni Kothari.
The attacks on Sikhs was pre–planned and the Congress party was to use state's resources to
simplify the massacre. Delhi Transportation corporation buses were used to take

In India, the Jan Lokpal Bill (Hindi: जन लोकपाल विधेयक) (also referred to as the citizens'
ombudsman bill) is a proposed anti–corruption law designed to effectively deter corruption, redress
grievances and protect whistleblowers. The law would create an ombudsman called the Jan Lokpal;
this would be an independent body similar to the Election Commission of India with the power to
prosecute politicians and bureaucrats without prior government permission.[1]

Every month on its website, the Lokayukta will publish a list of cases dealt with, brief details of
each, their outcome and any action taken or proposed. It will also publish lists of all cases received
by the Lokayukta during the previous month, cases dealt with and those which are pending.
Investigations of each case must be completed in one year. Any resulting trials should be concluded
in the following year, giving a total maximum process time of two years. Losses caused to the
government by a corrupt individual will be recovered at the time of conviction. Government
officework required by a citizen that is not completed within a prescribed time period will result in
Lokpal imposing financial penalties on those responsible, which will then be given as compensation
to the complainant. Complaints against any officer of Lokpal will be investigated and completed
within a month and, if found to be substantive, will result in the officer being dismissed within two
months. The existing anti–corruption agencies (CVC, departmental vigilance and the anti–
corruption branch of the CBI) will be merged into Lokpal which will have complete power and
authority to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician. Whistleblowers
who alert the agency to potential corruption cases will also be provided with protection by it.

Ethnic Conflict: Kashmir
The conflict in Kashmir dates all the way back to 1947 and still continues to this day. Kashmir is an
85,806 square mile territory North of India and East of Pakistan. Kashmir was one of the many
states governed by British rule before gaining its independence in 1947. This independence was not
truly meant to be permanent; the ruler, Maharaja Hari Singh, was meant to join Kashmir to either
India or Pakistan. The majority of Kashmir's population was Muslim, so Pakistan, being a Muslim
nation, expected Kashmir to cede to them. Unfortunately, Maharaja was Hindu, so he remained
neutral in the decision. This sent Pakistan into an uproar, and in October of 1947, Pakistan sent
Muslim troops into Kashmir. Maharaja appealed to the Indian government for military assistance
and signed the Instrument of Accession, ceding Kashmir to India; the first Indo–Pakistan war
begins. This is the first of three wars to occur between India and Pakistan, none with a winner. India
referred the conflict to the UN who asked Pakistan and India to remove their forces, although
neither did. It finally ended in 1949 when a ceasefire agreement was made and the Line of Control
was established. The LOC was meant to be temporary, but it continues to be the border between and
India and Pakistan today, giving 65% of the territory to India and 35% to Pakistan. The second war
occurred in 1965 when Pakistan crossed the LOC, thinking India was unable to defend their territory
and that the Kashmir people

Causes Of The First Kashmir War
Tensions between India and Pakistan can be traced to the partition of British India to form
independent India and Pakistan in 1947. The princely states were forced to decide whether to accede
to either Pakistan or India. This British policy opened the region up to conflict over the princely
state of Kashmir and two others. The territorial dispute over Kashmir led to the First Kashmir War
in 1947. This paper attempts to explain this conflict using different levels of analysis. This paper
first explains the historical context of the war to show the causes of the war. Then this paper goes on
to explain the war using different levels to analysis to determine that dyadic levels and individual
decision making levels all explain the First Kashmir War occurred. The steps to war theory, rational
choice, and psychological models all help to explain why Pakistan and India decided went to war
over the Kashmir Region.
Following the partition of British India, the princely regions had to decide whether to accede into
India or Pakistan. Kashmir was led by a Hindu monarch, Maharaja Hari Singh, and he ruled over a
majority Muslim population (Ganguly 15). For this reason, Maharaja had a difficult time deciding
which state to join. This indecision frustrated Pakistan and pro–Pakistani forces within Kashmir, and
rebellions broke out in the Poonch region of Kashmir in October 1947. The First Kashmir War
began on 22 October, 1947 with the invasion by Pakistani forces into the Kashmir region

Comparison Of Sikhism In The Fullerton Gurdwara
The phrase Sikh refers to "disciple" in Punjabi, or those who see themselves as disciples or
followers of Akal Purakh, the ten Sikh Gurus, and the sacred scripture, the Adi Granth. Sikhs
worship Sri Guru Nanak; Guru Nanak was born in 1469 to a higher caste merchant family in a
village which is near modern day Lahore, Pakistan. At this time a lot of India was under the Muslim
control including the Punjab. The story behind Guru Nanak is that he went to bathe in the Vein
River and during this bath he completely disappeared. All of his family looked for him but he could
not be found, but three days later he came out of the water and declared, " There is no Hindu, there
is no Muslim." This statement plays a huge part in this religion because of the two opposing
religions, Hinduism and Islam, surrounding Sikhism. Therefore, the ideology behind Sikhism is that
there is one God for all religions and that as a Sikh you must follow the writings and teachings of
the ten gurus. My goal for this research paper is to compare and contrast what I observed at the
Fullerton Gurdwara to what the book, the lectures, and other educational resources say. In the
following paragraphs I will discuss clothing etiquette, prayer, and modern Sikhism as observed in
the Fullerton Gurdwara.
To start off, when first coming to a Gurdwara I was told to wear traditional clothing such as a
shalwar kameez which consists of a long shirt called a kameez and wide, loose pants called a salwar

Diversity in Law Enforcement Essay
Final Paper Diversity in law enforcement has grown to become a hot topic within the law
enforcement community. The demographic of society has changed dramatically over the last 20
years and with that law enforcement has been changing, but have they been changing enough?
Different law enforcement agencies have their own ways of implementing diversity in their
practices and procedures, some of them are better than others, but with issues that happen today it is
important that they do something. There have been major incidents in our generation that have
caused the need for diversity reform in law enforcement. The biggest incident was the attacks on the

Following this African–Americans were always treated as unequal to the white male. They were
segregated and found it utterly impossible to gain any ground in society. How could they? African
Americans rarely got the opportunity to get an education or have a good job.
Hate crimes have continued to be a very real issue for African Americans. According to
civilrights.org "Despite the election of our nations first African–American President, African
Americans remain by far the most frequent victims of hate crimes...On election night in 2008, Ralph
Nicoletti and Michael Contreas, both 18, and Brian Carranza 21, of Staten Island, New York decided
shortly after learning of Barrack Obama's election victory to find African Americans to assault...The
men drove to a predominantly African American neighborhood in Staten Island where they came
upon a 17 year old African American who was walking home after watching the election at a friends
house. One of the men in the car yelled "Obama" Then, the men got out of the car and beat the
youth with a metal pipe and collapsible police baton, injuring his head and legs. The men went on to
commit additional assaults that night." (civilrights.org) Again, here is another prime example of why
it is important to reform diversity in law enforcement and think of creative ways to educate and
police these communities. There are some law enforcement agencies that are taking a proactive

The Founding And Spread Of Buddhism, Hinduism,...
Often in history, when something is done right and praised by the masses, it is mimicked in some
way in future instances. This can be seen in the variety of religions that have sprung up over time
and gained large followings. Although they are all unique in their own way, certain aspects connect
them and allow one to see how they all, in some way, influence each other. When analyzing the
founding and spread of Buddhism, Sikhism, Confucianism, and Hinduism, it is evident that
although there are many distinguishing differences between the four religions, there are multiple
similarities that link them all with each other. The word Buddhism is derived from the word
"budhi", to awaken, so it makes sense that the creation of the religion begins with its founder's
awakening. It is said that Buddhism started in the 6th century due to the actions of its founder,
Siddhartha Gautama, the wealthy warrior son of a king and queen in Lumbini (now Nepal). When
Siddhartha was young, a soothsayer predicted that he would become a renouncer and his father
showered him in luxuries, hoping to change this prediction. However, as a young man, Siddhartha
went on a series of chariot rides in which he witnessed a variety of suffering people and came to the
realization that material pleasures, such as his own, only serve to mask human suffering. After
entering a period of severe and damaging renunciation and realizing that it only added suffering,
Siddhartha meditated under a tree and woke up the

The Partition Of India And Pakistan
India and Pakistan have been at odds for over seven decades since the partition that caused each to
define itself in opposition to the other, and they have fought four wars since. The primary point of
contention between the two countries is the Kashmir dispute, which dates back to 1947. After the
Indian subcontinent divided, there was the issue of 650 states existing within the two newly
independent countries. These states, which were each run by separate monarchies, had the choice to
decide which country to join, or of remaining independent. In practice, the restive population of
each province proved decisive. Although many princes wanted their territories to remain
independent states, which would have meant hereditary monarchies and no ... Show more content on

He signed the Instrument of Accession, relinquishing Kashmir to India on October 26.
Subsequently, Indian and Pakistani forces fought their first war over Kashmir from 1947–48. India
took the dispute to the United Nations in January 1948, and in a resolution dated August 13, 1948,
the UN asked Pakistan to remove their troops from Kashmir, after which India was to remove a bulk
of its forces as well. Once this happened, a "free and fair" referendum was to be held that would
allow the Kashmiri people to decide their future. Nonetheless, the UN mandate proved to be
ineffective, as the main provision for the referendum–the withdrawal of Pakistani troops from
Kashmir–was never fulfilled. Since then, rival territorial claims over Kashmir have remained the
main contention between India and Pakistan.
Since 1948, India and Pakistan have fought three more wars over the territory. Moreover, both states
started testing nuclear weapons in 1998 and tensions have only escalated. Pakistani policy on India,
under all administrations has remained contingent on the resolution of the Kashmir issue. The
Pakistani position is that relations cannot be improved until the territorial dispute is negotiated. In
this sense, and in its military support of the separatist movement, Pakistan remains an actively
revisionist power. India, while formally claiming Pakistan's portion of Kashmir, has never sought to
negotiate its claim and is in favor of the status quo. From the

However, former diplomat and Rajya Sabha MP Mani Shankar Aiyar is an exception. Ever since he
has left the Indian Foreign Service to join Congress, Aiyar has often hit the headlines for wrong
reasons.
Mani Shankar Aiyar has an image of a maverick politician who has constantly defied the party line.

Many people accuse Mani Shankar Aiyar of a class bias. But this prejudice isn't apparently
restricted to his political opponents. In September 2011, the Union Sports Minister Ajay Maken
wrote a letter to the PM Manmohan Singh blaming his predecessor Aiyar for playing an
"obstructionist role" that eventually led to huge cost and time overruns in the Commonwealth

An infuriated Aiyar raised questions over the authenticity of the letter. Speaking to a news channel,
Aiyar retorted, "We have to establish the authenticity of this letter. It contains words like

many to the question, "How did the economic policies of Manmohan Singh help India emerge from

Are We Not The Same?
Are We Not the Same? Visible difference is very important if one is to discriminate against another
race or religious group. In the history of the United States of America, a person's physical features
are an important factor in the ways others are treated. For example, in 1942, the United States began
taking precautions for purposes of WWII. The enemy consisted of Germans, Italians, and Japanese
forces. President Roosevelt signed an executive order 9066 that noted "any designated Commander
deems such action necessary or desirable, to prescribe military areas in such places and of such
extent as he or the appropriate Military Commander may determine, from which any or all persons
may be excluded" (E.O. 9066 Roosevelt). The U.S. began arresting those of the opposing forces
decent and assigned them to Internment camps. However, only very small numbers of Germans and
Italians were interned and the Japanese became the massive target for the internment camps with
serval thousands incarcerated. Japanese Americans became sought after victims simply because,
they looked different. Germans and Italians were not seen as much of a threat as the Japanese were,
because they looked the same as any other European American.
History has shown that the majority of European decent Americans, often oppress others that have
different physical appearances. Within the last two centuries a particular religious group, the Sikhs,
have fallen victim to America's racial profiling. The Sikh religion

The Great Betrayal By Modi And The Bjp
The 'Great Betrayal" Act by Modi and the BJP is slowly but steadily unfolding. Credibility is rapidly
diminishing amongst majority of his followers, admirers, supporters and sympathizers. By
aggressive speech making during poll campaigning, Modi had endeared himself to the "Aam
Aadmi', particularly sections of the Middle Class, by raising "Great Expectations" and hopes among
them by "Ache Din Aane Wale Hain" slogan. Modi's high decibel campaign promises included:
"Good Governance – Simple and Smart governance through transparency"; stemming the rot
corruption, particularly in high places; controlling price rise and inflation; upholding dignity and
self respect of women; countering LoC violations and terror acts firmly; and many others like "One
Rank One Pension" etc., reduced to print in the BJPs 2014 Election manifesto. A brief review of
happenings during the last two months of Modi's governance provide clear signals on what to expect
in posterity. Transparency is the foremost pre–requisite for "Good Governance – Simple and Smart"
governance. Modi has also retracted into what was derisively hailed during the UPA rule as "Man
Mohan Singh" silent mode. After becoming PM, Modi has insulated himself from the media glare.
Even on the social media network, he is no longer as aggressive and communicative on key issues
as he was during the pre–election orchestra. Why is Modi sulking away from media glare? Is he

The Partition Of Indian Subcontinent
The partition of Indian subcontinent into Pakistan and India in 1947 left unresolved the status of
Kashmir, after 60–70 years it is clear that Pakistan must recognize that India has Kashmir and that
the conflict has been settled over time, and most people are happy with that fact. There has been a
continual use of force by the upset and unhappy people of Pakistan. The tension between India and
Pakistan has continued for over six decades and at an enormous cost. This partition is one of the
biggest reasons why the relationship between Pakistan and India has struggled throughout history.
Throughout this paper I will address the main reasons why India ruling Kashmir is a positive thing
for the Kashmiri people.
Dating back to the partition of India in 1947, the disputes in Kashmir continue on in our present day.
This conflict mainly involves India, Pakistan, and China over disputes in territory. This problem was
spread throughout a range of states that were run by Maharaja's prevailing within the newly
independent countries Pakistan and India (Insight on Conflict 2016). The people living in India
before the 1947 partition had the choice of either joining India or Pakistan, the people were not
entitled to remain independent (Kanwal 2014). Maharaja Hari Singh at the time did not want to
choose between the states of India and Pakistan he preferred to be independent. He signed an
agreement to stay neutral with the both India and Pakistan, this was an honor to India but Pakistan

Regardless of anything else, there is a character called, Hukum Chand, the Magistrate and Deputy
Commissioner of the District, who is a worse executive and a typical government worker.
Hukum Chand as a Magistrate needs to guarantee the rights and the high and human regards; yet he
appreciates inclined and devilish activities. He enrolls Haseena, a sixteen year old girl, a prostitute
who is likewise as old as his daughter to meet his suggestive delights.
The second character through whom Singh laughs at the educated, westernized and involved Indians
is Iqbal who is a social worker deputed by his gathering (People 's Party) to deal with the things and
bring care to the dominant part of Mano Majra. Iqbal is a westernized character (WOG) like Sir
Mohan Lal in "Karma" and Santosh Sen in "A Bride for the Sahib." Iqbal 's refined

The Sea of Poppies brings out gender identity, social identity, ethnic identity and national identity.
Each of the characters in the novel creates a connect of their past with the present. The memories,
desires, and new associations take them towards their destination. The novel uses metaphor as a tool
to bring out the suffering and pain of an individual. Ghosh here uses the character Deeti as a
metaphor to show his views about the life of a woman in the 19th century. The author weaves the
lives of the imaginative characters into the historical events to bring out hidden truths. Using
imagination, the author re–invents history and sheds light on the lives of the ordinary people. He

Examples Of Diversity In One Amazing Thing

  • 1. Examples Of Diversity In One Amazing Thing Tragedies bring forth unity despite diversity. "Unity in diversity is the highest possible attainment of a civilization, a testimony to the most noble possibilities to the human race. This attainment is made possible through passionate concern for choice, in an atmosphere of social trust." (Michael Novak). When we try to recognize our common passivity, it may be frightening at first, but it can inspire us to put forth acts of affection, warmth and give birth to the desire of standing united to support one another. Stress, often considered repugnant, may act as an opportunity for us to experience the most wonderful characteristics of life, connections and fondness. Solidarity, despite our differences often leads us to feel stronger and aids ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be seen through various examples like that of the villagers in Khuswant Singh's 'Train to Pakistan', who experienced a great sense of togetherness after receiving a trainload full of corpses, despite their cultural and religious differences. They supported and provided comfort to one another in tough times and proved that unity is the ultimate boon. The author would like to conclude by saying that while personal or political squabbling might dominate during times of peace, people put their differences aside when they face an external enemy and emerge as a much stronger unit, experiencing the feelings of kindness and unspoken affection for one another. Thus, tragedies are successful in bringing forth unity even in the presence of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A member of Indigenous Team of the Century and Sydney Swans, he professionally plays in The Australian Football League. Holding a dual Brownlow Medal, dual premiership player and four–time All–Australian, he represents Australia in the International Rules Series. Adam Goodes, born 8th of January of year 1980, age 35, is one of the most revered AFL players in our history. Standing at 191 cm and weighing 100 kg, Goodes, though part–aboriginal, has impacted the Australia's sporting and cultural activity. Goodes was once controversial for his style of playing, he retaliated with a no. He will not change his way of playing though there are critics. Goodes did a pretty good job in his field, earning encouragement and followers. Outside his football career, he is an active advocate of Anti–Racism and Charity. He founded the Go Foundation. Goodes is affiliated with charity. He raised $27,000 for his aid organization. Goodes often spoke out for improved race relations and says that he is a proud "Adnyamathanha man," He became involved in an incident on May 24, 2013, during Sydney's Indigenous Round match against Collingwood, when a 13–year–old girl sitting in the stands called him an "ape." Goodes stopped play to point out the girl to security and demand that she be ejected. Though he clarifies that he has not pointed her out to have everyone against her, but rather he even asked that people support the girl much as they support him. He stated that he did what he did because the girl and the people who heard may be educated and a situation like it never happens again. "That opportunity to not only educate a 13–year–old girl but help educate other members who sit in the football crowds, people in the communities, people in the society, that those sort of things ... • 3. India 's National Language, Pakistan There was incredible suffering that the Partion of India caused in areas of Birtish India through exchanges of population ...Dealing in various ways with the human tragedy endured by people on both sides of this newly created border. One of the best, and perhaps most famous, partition story clearly reveals this sense of bewilderment,"Toba Tek Singh" was written in Urdu, Pakistan's national language, by Sadat Hasan Manto, a Kashmiri who left his home in 1948 and moved to Karachi, Pakistan's capital. The story recounts the effects of partition on a very particular portion of the population. The 1955 short story, writen by Saadat Hasan Manto, was based on inmates of lunatic asylums being split in the wake of the Partition – with Hindu and Sikh inmates being transferred to India and Muslim inmates going to Pakistan. It focused on a particular inmate, Bishan Singh. Bishan Singh is a Sikh inmate who, fifteen years earlier, had gone mad and was admitted to the asylum by his family. Everyone in the asylum called him Toba Tek Singh, the name of his village. Almost bald, his legs swollen, because he is always seen standing and occasionally leaning against the wall, he had the habit of speaking this nonsensical phrase, "Uper the gur gur the annexe the bay dhayana the mung the dal of the laltain." No one could understand what the gibberish meant but it may be the message Manto tries to display, that the partion is nonsense. From the story we learn a little bit about Bishan's family and ... • 4. Synopsis Of The Novel ' Train On Pakistan ' By Khushwant... The well–known novel 'Train to Pakistan' initiates study on theme of partition. This story opens the phase of political hatred, violence and sectarianism in a brilliant and realistic way. Related to those decisive or fateful days, which were brought by the British Raj followed by destruction, death and deracination for the north of the subcontinent; Khushwant Singh refers to the fact that India might have gained independence then, but the price they paid for it was 'Partition'. The strength and the power of unity were deliberately divided between the two nations. It depicts the pitiful tale of individuals and communities suffered in the revolution of Partition. 'Tran to Pakistan' illustrates the agony suffered on both sides of the political boundaries–India and Pakistan after the partition. In general, partition uprooted the whole country and it is described as one of the deadliest experience the natives ever had of leaving their belongings behind and adapting the idea of new land, which was not theirs. The harrowing and spine chilling events of 1947 had shaken the faith of the people in the innate human beings. It had driven them into the state of wonder over what man has made of man. To Khushwant Singh, this was a period of great disillusionment and crisis of values, a distressing and disintegrating period of his life. The belief he had cherished all his life was shattered. Giving strength to his inner struggle and agony, he says: "I had believed in the innate goodness ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

India 's A Growing Economic System For this research report, I want to further the understanding of the Indian attitude, external opportunities and threats of entrepreneurship, and how the International world and India is progressing with entrepreneurs. I have an interest in being in working internationally, after gaining more experience in the corporate/sales area of a company, which is one of the reasons I chose to explore this topic on an international level. This paper will cover some basics of entrepreneurship in India. In India they have a growing economic system. Global Edge states that in 2011, "India's estimated GDP was $1.843 trillion with 7.8% growth (Global Edge). Although India has some of the biggest billionaires living there, more than 30%–50% of the people in India live below the poverty line on about 50 cents a day. It is a high poverty rate, the highest among all the BRIC countries. In India this problem is growing and becoming more unbalanced. This is an issue because of the caste system in India. This castes system makes it extremely difficult for one to change social classes. Women also have a problem when trying to break into the workplace, because it is something that is seen as taboo. I recall in a TED TALK that was shown in a class of mine, it showed how women and lower class citizens of India were learning about IT and how they were being taught simple key logging types of work in hopes of the availability of the jobs will help balance the distribution of income through the lower classes. The key sectors of the company in India are listed as agriculture (17.4%), industry (25.8%), and services (56.9%). Many belonging to the lower class in India are farmers and they spend quite some time selling their produce which proves to be a difficult tasks since many rural areas do not have the means to provide efficient transportation (i.e. underdeveloped roads). Because of this, many of their produce go bad/expire before they make it to the market. • 6. How Women Are Treated in India In many parts of the world females still have very little rights. Indeed, equality between men and women have been accepted by the majority of the developed countries, but developing countries still struggle to see women as equals to men, and India is one of the worst. Currently, the Indian National Congress Party is only 10% female, limiting the say women get. In India, women are definitely not seen as equals to men are being treated like second rate citizens. It also really says something about the inequality in a country when its women are so used to being treated badly most of them do not even recognize that they have rights. In India, men were always valued more than women, which is why an estimated ten million female foetuses are aborted every year. The lack of females in areas leads to crimes like human trafficking for sexual reasons like giving birth to more children. Old traditions and beliefs are the main reasons to why millions of female foetuses are aborted every year, but it is also the reason behind bride burning, another serious issue in India. Bride burning, also known as dowry death occurs quite frequently in India. It is when the husband or the in–laws decide that the dowry the bride offers is not enough and demands more. If the bride refuses or is financially not able to increase her dowry, she is tortured until she either agrees or dies; otherwise she is murdered by her "family". This is dangerous. This development not only has the social and economic outcome but would give birth to political clash also, sooner or later. The land vultures have cast their evil eyes on India's land now. The anger of people in developing countries would explode against the international community unless the concerned authorities pay heed to this impending danger. United Nation and World Bank are keeping mum over the land–grab proposal. However, they have said to bring in the land grabbers within the ambit of the code of conduct. • 8. Indian Response To The Us Rebalancing Strategy The Indian Response to the US Rebalancing Strategy India has been considered as a crucial factor in the US Rebalancing Strategy. On a visit to India, former US Secretary of Defence Leon Panetta referred to India as the 'lynchpin' of the US Strategy in Asia. Yet another US government report stated that, "The United States is also investing in a long–term strategic partnership with India to support its ability to serve as a regional economic anchor and provider of security in the broader Indian Ocean region." With the US pushing for closer ties with the country, India on the other hand has been quite observant of the changing geopolitical scenario in its surrounding and has taken a pacifist approach so far. India's former Defence Minister A. K Antony, in response to Panetta, highlighted the necessity to enhance the multilateral security architecture in the Asia Pacific, but at the same time also emphasised that the necessary steps should be taken 'at a pace comfortable to all the countries concerned'. In order to further understand India's stance on the issue, it would be interesting to observe and analyze the following table in which four foreign policy approaches were estimated with respect to the Indian response within the country towards the US Rebalancing Strategy. They are laid in the table below along with various other factors that were taken into consideration :– Foreign Policy Schools Strategic Environment Perception of US Pivot Foreign Policy Prescription ... When Shah Jehan's army attacked the Guru in 1635 at Lehra near Mehraj, Kala along with his clan sided firmly with him. The Guru ended victorious. A happy Guru Har Gobind asked Kala Brar to fence as much land he wanted to. By evening, Kala had marked twenty–two villages and put his fence (Morhi) into the ground. His mother was illiterate, but her common sense and religious devotion had a lasting impact on Gandhi's character. As a youngster, Mohandas was a good student, but he never displayed any signs of leadership. On the death of his father, Mohandas travelled to England to gain a degree in law. He became involved with the Vegetarian Society and was once asked to translate the Hindu Bhagavad Gita. This classic of Hindu literature awakened in Gandhi a sense of pride in the Indian scriptures. Around this time, he also studied the Bible and was struck by the teachings of Jesus Christ – especially the emphasis on humility and forgiveness. He remained committed to the Bible and Bhagavad Gita throughout his life, though he was critical of aspects of both religions. Gandhi in South Africa On completing his degree in Law, Gandhi returned to India, where he was soon sent to South Africa to practise law. In South Africa, Gandhi was struck by the level of racial discrimination and injustice often experienced by Indians. It was in South Africa that Gandhi first experimented with campaigns of civil disobedience and protest; he called his non–violent protests satyagraha. Through the non– judgmental and sardonic tone of the narrative, Toba Tek Singh compels the reader to think deeper about India's birth as a nation. India's partition into two different countries purely on the basis of religion (Manto, 2011, p. 70) gives us a reality check into how willing we are to accommodate diversity. Toba Tek Singh urges the readers to ponder over the fact that state creation is an issue beyond the mere geographical demarcation of borders, because it does not account for the unquantifiable sentiments that the process affects, as well as propagates. State creation involves political ideas and the struggle for power taking precedence, with little or no regard for the opinion of citizens. This means that the state is not being conceived as the sum total of its people and their interests, but a framework within which power can be exercised. This is evident in the very first line of the story which says that India and Pakistan had decided to "exchange" their lunatics, in the very same way in which they had exchanged their criminals (Manto, 2011, p.70). • 23. Ethnic Conflict: Kashmir The conflict in Kashmir dates all the way back to 1947 and still continues to this day. Kashmir is an 85,806 square mile territory North of India and East of Pakistan. Kashmir was one of the many states governed by British rule before gaining its independence in 1947. This independence was not truly meant to be permanent; the ruler, Maharaja Hari Singh, was meant to join Kashmir to either India or Pakistan. The majority of Kashmir's population was Muslim, so Pakistan, being a Muslim nation, expected Kashmir to cede to them. Unfortunately, Maharaja was Hindu, so he remained neutral in the decision. This sent Pakistan into an uproar, and in October of 1947, Pakistan sent Muslim troops into Kashmir. Maharaja appealed to the Indian government for military assistance and signed the Instrument of Accession, ceding Kashmir to India; the first Indo–Pakistan war begins. This is the first of three wars to occur between India and Pakistan, none with a winner. India referred the conflict to the UN who asked Pakistan and India to remove their forces, although neither did. It finally ended in 1949 when a ceasefire agreement was made and the Line of Control was established. The LOC was meant to be temporary, but it continues to be the border between and India and Pakistan today, giving 65% of the territory to India and 35% to Pakistan. • 24. Causes Of The First Kashmir War Tensions between India and Pakistan can be traced to the partition of British India to form independent India and Pakistan in 1947. The princely states were forced to decide whether to accede to either Pakistan or India. This British policy opened the region up to conflict over the princely state of Kashmir and two others. The territorial dispute over Kashmir led to the First Kashmir War in 1947. This paper attempts to explain this conflict using different levels of analysis. This paper first explains the historical context of the war to show the causes of the war. Then this paper goes on to explain the war using different levels to analysis to determine that dyadic levels and individual decision making levels all explain the First Kashmir War occurred. The steps to war theory, rational choice, and psychological models all help to explain why Pakistan and India decided went to war over the Kashmir Region. Following the partition of British India, the princely regions had to decide whether to accede into India or Pakistan. Kashmir was led by a Hindu monarch, Maharaja Hari Singh, and he ruled over a majority Muslim population (Ganguly 15). For this reason, Maharaja had a difficult time deciding which state to join. This indecision frustrated Pakistan and pro–Pakistani forces within Kashmir, and rebellions broke out in the Poonch region of Kashmir in October 1947. Comparison Of Sikhism In The Fullerton Gurdwara The phrase Sikh refers to "disciple" in Punjabi, or those who see themselves as disciples or followers of Akal Purakh, the ten Sikh Gurus, and the sacred scripture, the Adi Granth. Sikhs worship Sri Guru Nanak; Guru Nanak was born in 1469 to a higher caste merchant family in a village which is near modern day Lahore, Pakistan. At this time a lot of India was under the Muslim control including the Punjab. The story behind Guru Nanak is that he went to bathe in the Vein River and during this bath he completely disappeared. All of his family looked for him but he could not be found, but three days later he came out of the water and declared, " There is no Hindu, there is no Muslim." This statement plays a huge part in this religion because of the two opposing religions, Hinduism and Islam, surrounding Sikhism. Therefore, the ideology behind Sikhism is that there is one God for all religions and that as a Sikh you must follow the writings and teachings of the ten gurus. • 27. The Founding And Spread Of Buddhism, Hinduism,... Often in history, when something is done right and praised by the masses, it is mimicked in some way in future instances. This can be seen in the variety of religions that have sprung up over time and gained large followings. Although they are all unique in their own way, certain aspects connect them and allow one to see how they all, in some way, influence each other. When analyzing the founding and spread of Buddhism, Sikhism, Confucianism, and Hinduism, it is evident that although there are many distinguishing differences between the four religions, there are multiple similarities that link them all with each other. The word Buddhism is derived from the word "budhi", to awaken, so it makes sense that the creation of the religion begins with its founder's awakening. It is said that Buddhism started in the 6th century due to the actions of its founder, Siddhartha Gautama, the wealthy warrior son of a king and queen in Lumbini (now Nepal). When Siddhartha was young, a soothsayer predicted that he would become a renouncer and his father showered him in luxuries, hoping to change this prediction. However, as a young man, Siddhartha went on a series of chariot rides in which he witnessed a variety of suffering people and came to the realization that material pleasures, such as his own, only serve to mask human suffering. After entering a period of severe and damaging renunciation and realizing that it only added suffering, Siddhartha meditated under a tree and woke up the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Once this happened, a "free and fair" referendum was to be held that would allow the Kashmiri people to decide their future. Nonetheless, the UN mandate proved to be ineffective, as the main provision for the referendum–the withdrawal of Pakistani troops from Kashmir–was never fulfilled. Since then, rival territorial claims over Kashmir have remained the main contention between India and Pakistan. Since 1948, India and Pakistan have fought three more wars over the territory. Moreover, both states started testing nuclear weapons in 1998 and tensions have only escalated. Pakistani policy on India, under all administrations has remained contingent on the resolution of the Kashmir issue. The Pakistani position is that relations cannot be improved until the territorial dispute is negotiated. In this sense, and in its military support of the separatist movement, Pakistan remains an actively revisionist power. India, while formally claiming Pakistan's portion of Kashmir, has never sought to negotiate its claim and is in favor of the status quo. From the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An infuriated Aiyar raised questions over the authenticity of the letter. Speaking to a news channel, Aiyar retorted, "We have to establish the authenticity of this letter. It contains words like 'dichotomous' which I cannot believe that a BA Pass from Hansraj College would know. So, is this really a letter written by him or somebody else cooked it up. Aiyar is an alumnus of Delhi's prestigious St. Stephens college whereas Maken has passed out from the Hansraj College. He even dragged the Kirori Mal College into the controversy by declaring that Amitabh Bachchan was the "sole achievement" of KMC.

In the history of the United States of America, a person's physical features are an important factor in the ways others are treated. For example, in 1942, the United States began taking precautions for purposes of WWII. The enemy consisted of Germans, Italians, and Japanese forces. President Roosevelt signed an executive order 9066 that noted "any designated Commander deems such action necessary or desirable, to prescribe military areas in such places and of such extent as he or the appropriate Military Commander may determine, from which any or all persons may be excluded" (E.O. 9066 Roosevelt).
