2. WHAT IS THE CONCEPT?
I believe the concept of the music video is how the lead singer in the clip is trying to
make things right with the person that he loves however this is a complicated task as
he is tempted by women and alcohol, however this doesn’t stop him from chasing the
person he loves even if it means dying for her.

3. IS IT PERFORMANCE OR NARRATIVE?
It’s a narrative as it tells the story of the struggle of the lead singer trying to reunite
with the woman he loves but being stopped by obstacles in the way such as lust and
alcohol.
4. WHAT TYPE OF CAMERA SHOT AND
MOVEMENT ARE USED?
Cross cutting, long shots, medium shots, bird’s eye view shots, panning and medium
close ups are the most used shots in the video clip.

5. DESCRIBE THE EDITING STYLE
At times its slow but for most of the clip there quite some fast paced editing I order to
keep to the rithymn of the song.
6. HOW IS THE MISE-EN-SCENE
REPRESENTED?
In some scenes we can see all the band members together, they are all wearing black,
this symbolises the fact that they are a rock band, what further emphasises this is the
tattoos that the lead singer has.
In the other scenes where the story is told the lead singer is wearing a blue suit trying
in my opinion to look like a normal person as the same type of situation could happen
to a lot of people.
7. HOW ARE THE ARTISTS REPRESENTED?
The lead singer is represented in 2 ways, as the leader of the band as he is the centre
of attention in all shots and he is also the main character in the story.
The other members are in the background, however unlike the lead singer they don’t
get much screen time so the only representation we get off them is the fact than like
the lead singers are part of the group as the all wear black.
8. WHAT WIDER MEANINGS CAN YOU
INTERPRET?
I think this music video shows the struggle that a normal person may have at some
point in they're life, the alcohol and the women in the video are there to represent that
people can fall low without even realizing it until its to late, we can see that the
character I the clip knows his mistakes and is trying to fix it however he's always
stopped by women who are actually representing indecision when she's drowning in
the clip, it could mean that the loss of love could be a drowning feeling that sometimes
sinks however the character dives in after her meaning that he hasn't given up on love
and is willing to even risk his life in order to live for love before he dies.
