SOSIOLOGI KOMUNIKASI
3. Perubahan Sosial adalah proses sosial (meliputi sebagian besar
aspek kehidupan manusia) yang mengalami pergeseran atau
perubahan cara dan bentuk.
Sebagai proses sosial, keberadaan masyarakat dan
komunikasi (baik secara makro maupun mikro) tidak lepas dari
dinamika perubahan sosial tersebut. Ini dikarenakan masyarakat
sebagai wadah dari nilai-nilai perubahan, serta komunikasi sebagai
agen atau penggerak dari perubahan tersebut.
Kemajuan teknologi dan informasi yang cepat telah membawa
perubahan-perubahan dalam masyarakat dan proses komunikasi
antar sosial.

Proses dimana ide-ide baru diciptakan dan dikembangkan.
Difusi
Proses dimana ide baru dikomunikasikan kedalam sistem sosial
Konsekuensi
Perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi dalam sistem sosial sebagai akibat
pengadopsian atau penolakan inovasi. Perubahan terjadi jika
penggunaan atau penolakan ide baru itu mempunyai akibat.
6. FAKTOR INTERN
(BERSUMBER DALAM MASYARAKAT ITU SENDIRI)
Bertambah atau berkurangnya penduduk
Pertambahan penduduk terjadi sangat cepat menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan dalam struktur masyarakat.
Misal, orang lantas mengenal hak milik individual atas tanah, sewa tanah, dan lainnya yang sebelumnya belum
dikenal.
Penemuan-penemuan baru yang meliputi berbagai proses
Suatu proses sosial dan kebudayaan yang besar, tetapi terjadi dalam waktu yang tidak terlalu lama, adalah
inovasi. Proses tersebut meliputi suat penemuan baru, jalannya unsur-unsur kebudayaan baru yang tersebar ke
lain-lain bagian masyarakat, dan cara-cara unsur kebudayaan baru tadi diterima, dipelajari, dan akhirnya
dipakai dalam masyarakat yang bersangkutan.
Pertentangan (conflict) Masyarakat
Pertentangan-pertentangan mungkin terjadi baik antara individu dengan kelompok, atau perantara kelompok
dengan kelompok. Umumnya masyarakat tradisional di Indonesia bersifat kolektif. Segala kegiatan yang
didasarkan pada kepentingan masyarakat. Kepentingan individu walaupun diakui tapi mempunyai fungsi sosial.
7. FAKTOR EKSTERN
(BERSUMBER DARI LUAR MASYARAKAT)
Berasal dari lingkungan alam fisik yang ada disekitar manusia
Terjadinya bencana alam menyebabkan masyarakat yang mendiami daerah-daerah tersebut terpakasa
harus meninggalkan daerahnya yang terkena bencana alam tersebut.
Peperangan
Peperangan dengan negara lain dapat pula menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan-perubahan karena
biasanya negara yang menang akan memaksa kebudayaannya pada negara yang kalah. Selain itu
ketika terjadi peperangan akan timbul kemungkinan masuknya unsur budaya asing kedalam negara
tersebut.
Pengaruh kebudayaan masyarakat lain
Hubungan secara fisik antara dua masyarakat mempunyai kecerendungan untuk menimbulkan
hubungan timbal-balik, artinya masing-masing masyarakat mempengaruhi masyarakat lainnya, tetapi
juga menerima pengaruh dari masyarakat yang lain itu.

11. Modernisasi
Proses modernsasi mencakup proses yang sangat luas.
Kadang batas-batasnya pun tidak dapat ditetapkan secara mutlak.
Modernisasi pada hakikatnya mencakup bidang-bidang yang sangat banyak.
Dalam abad sosial change ini mau tidak mau modernisasi harus dihadapi
masyarakat.
Modernisasi tidak sama dengan reformasi yang menekankan pada faktor-
faktor rehabiitasi. Modernisasi bersifat preventf dan konstruktif, dan agar
proses tersebut tidak mengarah pada angan-angan, sebaliknya modernisasi
harus dapat memproyeksikan kecenderugan yang ada dalam masyarakat
kearah waktu-waktu yang mendatang.
12. Kaitan Komunikasi dan Perubahan Sosial
Dalam hubungannya dengan proses sosial, komunikasi menjadi
sebuah cara dalam melakukan perubahan sosial (social change).
Komunikasi berperan menjembatani perbedaan dalam masyarakat
karena mampu merekatkan kembali sistem sosial masyarakat dalam
usahanya melakukan perubahan.
Namun begitu, komunikasi juga tak akan lepas dari konteks
sosialnya. Artinya ia diwarnai oleh sikap, perilaku, pola, norma,
pranata masyarakatnya. Jadi keduanya saling mempengaruhi dan
saling melengkapi, seperti halnya hubungan antara manusia dengan
masyarakat.
13. Peran Komunikasi dalam Modernisasi
1. Komunikasi Persuasif akan mempengaruhi perubahan nilai-nilai, sikap
mental, perilaku, kepribadian kreatif, motifasi berprestasi yang sangat
mendukung terwujudnya modernisasi. Komunikasi persuasif akan
mempengaruhi nilai budaya untuk berorientasi ke masa depan
mempunyai motivasi untuk berkarya, berinovasi, bersikap hemat untuk
menabung, disiplin, yang sangat berperan dalam modernisasi.
1. Komunikasi Interaktif dalam bidang pendidikan formal dan non formal
sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan sumber daya manusia untuk dapat
berkarya, disiplin, bertanggung-jawab, berprestasi dan berkualitas
merupakan factor yang sangat penting dalam modernisasi.
14. 3. Komunikasi melalui media massa sangat berperan dalam
meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan tehnologi terhadap masyarakat untuk
terwujudnya modernisasi. Peranan komunikasi tersebut di harapkan akan
menimbulkan perubahan yang menguntungkan di berbagai bidang
kehidupan: demografi, system stra-tifikasi, pemerintahan, pendidikan,
sistem keluarga, nilai, sikap serta kepriba-dian yang sangat penting bagi
proses modernisasi di Indonesia.

16. KESIMPULAN
Perubahan sosial dapat diartikan sebagai segala perubahan pada lembaga-lembaga sosial
dalam suatu masyarakat. Perubahan-perubahan pada lembaga-lembaga sosial itu selanjutnya
mempunyai pengaruhnya pada sistem-sistem sosialnya, termasuk di dalamnya nilai-nilai, pola-
pola perilaku ataupun sikap-sikap dalam masyarakat itu yang terdiri dari kelompok-kelompok
sosial.
Proses perubahan sosial terdiri dari tiga tahap barurutan :
invensi proses di mana ide-ide baru diciptakan dan dikembangkan,
difusi proses ide baru itu dikomunikasikan kedalam sistem sosial,
konsekwensi yakni perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi dalam sistem social sebagai akibat
pengadopsian atau penolakan inovasi.
