My Generation And The Future Of Our Generation
Whether virtuous or erroneous, potential advancements made by my generation as a whole can be far larger in scale than the changes made by any
of the preceding generations in all of human history. However, this isn't due to a disproportionate amount of prodigies or revolutionary thinkers.
This is simply because of the advancements and efforts of our predecessors that we possess advantages and tools such as: a seemingly infinite pool
of accessible knowledge, means to collaborate with the greatest minds the world has to offer, and increasing opportunities to create and revolutionize
the world around us. One major contributing factor as to why my generation possesses the potential to cause major impacts on the future is the vast
amount of information readily available to us. The pool of information isn't only found on the internet or in books, but also in the wisdom and
experiences of the elder generations. The pool of information allows us to quickly solve problems and make more informed decisions. My
generation's efforts can be directed towards the new problems that develop and to further the collective knowledge of humanity. This positive feedback
loop promotes a future of increased efficiency at solving problems and making decisions. A time consuming part of the problem solving and decision
making process is obtaining the information necessary. The more reliable information one has, the faster and easier the dilemmas are solved. Another
advantage my generation has is the

Our Post Human Future Summary
Annotated Bibliography Fukuyama, Francis. Our Post–human Future: Consequences of the Biotechnology Revolution. London: Profile, 2002. Print.
Francis Fukuyama states and believes that we have not yet reached the end of science, and human's greatest discovery will be in life sciences.
Fukuyama also explains that Biotechnology will have horrific and terrible consequences. The biggest threat that Fukuyama sees from biotechnology, is
that it could change our human nature and put us in a "post human" stage of history. Genetically engineered babies, or "designer babies" is one way
that biotechnology could change the nature of humans. Fukuyama believes that state power regulating biotechnology could help preserve our post
human future. Kaku, Michio.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bradley also elaborates on human cloning and how it is feared and opposed by most Americans, but as of this book (2012) there is no such thing.
Lastly the author describes neuroenhancement and how they are already being taking advantage of; for example, many students take adderal to stay
up late, focus, and study for exams. Suter, Sonia M. "A Brave New World of Designer Babies?" Berkeley Technology Law Journal 22.2 (2007):

is to elaborate on eugenics in various aspects, so that humans can carefully evaluate current and future uses of reproductive technology. Humanity is
converting to a newer form of eugenics known as "neoeugenics" where most humans will choose the right or moral reproductive decision according to
the author. Suter explains how eugenics originated, how the society feels about eugenics, and the governments involvement in eugenics. Mankind's

The Troubling Future of Our Nation
There are series of issues that are gradually arising from the depth of our nation.
Many of the problems root from the decisions and actions made today. One of these problems is the overpopulation that the U.S seems to be heading
towards. With the freedom and laws that protect its people today, and the hopes and dreams of the golden tan glossed by the Californian sun, the U.S
has been one of the biggest eye–candy for vacationers and those in search for a new place to start over. This can stir up problems in all direction. A
bigger population comes with a higher demand. If you haven't noticed, hundreds of houses and recreations are being built all over the country to
sufficiently satisfy the growing population. The increase of buildings, roads, and other man–made constructions results in the destruction of natural
habitats that belong to living organisms of our ecosystem that can soon become endanger and eventually die out of extinction. If this continues,
adequately sized natural environments will no longer be accessible and those growing up in the future of the country will not be able to appreciate
these natural resources and beauty that we strongly rely on ("World Population Awareness."). The U.S has quickly became a high consuming nation
and at this rate, these raw materials and natural resources we heavily rely on to satisfy these wants and essentials will soon be scarce. Of course there
is also the risk and damaging of air quality even more

Is American History Our Hope For The Future
Why is American history our hope for the future? American history is one of, if not, the most important lesson we will ever learn as we have fought
with mistakes and success in our lives and stories. Each new generation has a longer story or history as each new human adopts their ancestors stories
as their introduction to their story. Today I wanted to write this speech on part of my introduction, my mom's introduction, but a chapter of my
grandfather's story, the Vietnam War. Now in order to properly understand why Americanhistory is our hope for the future, I need to briefly explain
what history means to me, what Vietnam means to my story and then How this speech answers Why American history is our hope for the future.
History is our story.

Is Fracking Our Energy Future?
Four Colorado Front Range cities, Boulder, Longmont, Loveland, and Fort Collins voted to place restrictions on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking as
it is sometimes referred to, in the November 2013 elections. Greeley, a neighboring community, has made a statement in the opposite direction.
According to journalist Natalya Savka, "There is no talk of a fracking ban in this city of 427 wells, a number that is predicted to quadruple within the
next few years" (45). Hydraulic fracturing is the future of clean energy production in the United States, according to the gas and oil industry experts.
Alex Prud'homme, author of Hydrofracking: What Everyone Needs to Know, says that hydrofracking is defined in different ways by different people.
Prud'homme states the following: To those in the energy industry, it refers purely to the process of injecting fluids
–which consist of water and between
three and twelve chemicals, including hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride, methanol, and isopropyic ethanol, that serve various functions–underground
at high pressure to crack open shale rock, release natural gas or oil trapped there, and allow the hydrocarbons to flow to the surface. (24)
To most people, hydrofracking or fracking is just an easy way to describe the processes used to drill a well and extract oil and gas from the site. Weld
County, where Greeley is the largest city, is home to "more than 20,000 active oil and gas wells," the most in the United States (Savka 45). The city is

The Future of the Arctic Is in Our Hands
Preface
The arctic is facing today drastic climate changes that, together with technological development will in the near future disclose the Arctic's economic
potential.
We, the people of Greenland, believe that the inhabitants of the Arctic should be the first to benefit from the economic opportunities theArctic will
bring.
As historical inhabitants of the Arctic it is our responsibility to make it a peaceful and rich region ensuring at the same time the safeguard of its
environment. The future of the Arctic is in our hands.
Kridneh Gnireeh, prime minister of Greenland.
Introduction
The Arctic has been warming faster than any other region on the planet: Greenland's ice sheet has experienced a steady melting and will along with the
Arctic's ice caps contribute to the rise of the global sea levels.
Climate change will affect the natural environment enabling the exploitation of oil, gas and minerals, the melting of the Arctic ice caps will open new
and more cost efficient trading routes namely the Northern Sea route and the Northwest Passage, in which Greenland will play a strategic role due to its
geographical location. The warming of the seas will permit Greenlandic fisheries to expand their activities by locating new fishing grounds further
north.
In 2009 Greenlanders voted in favor of the Self–Goverment Act which transferred more powers from the Government of Denmark to the local
Greenlandic government, among these the right to administrate mineral resource

American History: Our Hope For The Future
American History: Our Hope for the Future I am seventeen years old and I have lived in America for all of my life. My family has always lived
here as with me and all have been raised here. Family members of mine have served in the military as well. It is a peaceful place to be and I plan
to live here forever. America is a good place to be and a nice place to start a family. We have fifty states and they are all completely different. The
government is set up so that we can vote and choose for who takes charge. If you choose you can join the armed forces and fight for the country. The
history of America has a very interesting from how it started up until now. In 1775 there were thirteen American colonies that got upset with some

Why must damage and suffering occur for us to realize that, as a nation, we need to work side by side to help one another in need? The attacks on
September 11th, 2001 will never go without remembrance because of the pain and suffering of thousands of fatalities and injuries. Our nation was
in devastation from the loss of loved ones in the attack. The strength in response on that day for support was immense. Those individuals who
chose to aid did so on their own. They joined together to warm the cold, tangible fingers of death. I hope to see the day where our nation can
regularly join in union to support one another without pain. I wish to see the smiles and hear the laughter of our nation's people instead of the
regular calamity that bloodshed brings to our arms. I optimism for our nation's eyes to be opened to the destruction and pain that is brought forth
from our everyday lives. Millions of people are homeless, including veterans and children. I hope for our arms to open and provide a home for
those in need. I hope for hate and ridicule to cease from our hearts because of simple appearances. I intend to see forgiveness in our hearts.

Our Students Are Our Future
Our students are our future. Our alumni will eventually run our nation and they are what our world will come to depend on. It is our job to
successfully teach them and equip them with the skills they need to live successful lives and teach their future generations. Currently we are not
completely fulfilling our responsibility. Many of us only see the problem in our teachers, but it 's not totally their fault. Our entire system is corrupt,
from the standardized tests to the curriculum. The system simply does not work for all types of people.
Many people believe teachers to be like day care workers with extra education: they watch our kids, keep them safe and out of trouble, and as a bonus:
they teach them valuable things instead of putting them in front of a T.V. or game console. Imagine paying the average educator three dollars an hour
per child for the amount of time they watch them in a school day. Assuming there are thirty children in a class, annually that would equal over one
hundred thousand dollars. Due to the fact that furthering your education increases your value to an institution, we should pay the teachers that have
earned master's degrees and/or have special ED training minimum wage. That would be eight dollars per child, so their annual wage would come to a
little under three hundred thousand dollars. Reality isn't so bequeathing and our teachers are only earning an average of fifty thousand dollars per year.
We get what we pay for, and we are not investing

future, whether it is the literature or parts of the government being adopted.
Some parts of our future that dystopian fiction can have on us could be our literature. Many people know this is a popular genre. In the future the
popular genre of fiction could be based on a dystopian fiction. The people of the future may be inspired by dystopian fiction. Most of our books would

American History: Our Hope For The Future
American History: Our Hope for the Future
Before we go into any specifics, let's talk about what hope is. Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for certain things to happen within oneself.
This, however, is just a definition given in a dictionary which your brain understands. We all know that hope means something much more in our hearts.
The hearts of Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, Helen Keller, Susan B. Anthony, and Martin Luther King, Jr. has definitely found the meaning of
hope in their hearts.
Let us start from the beginning of the United States of America, the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was the brave man who wrote this
divorce letter to the Great Britain. He thought that his fellow Americans were not treated fairly, and so he and the founding fathers decided that it was
time to part ways with England. Even though Jefferson just wrote it he still contributed, with a set goal of having a better future. And with only his pen
and paper, he helped his fellow Americans have hope and the will to fight for the future of America.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As we all know Thomas Edison was a famous inventor in the late 1800's. His inventions were the building blocks of what we use now in today's
technology; such as our phones with which we can communicate and the electric lights that we use to see in the darkness. And as we all can see he
was pretty successful with his inventions, but being an inventor gives you more chances to make mistakes. His famous quote, " I have not failed,
I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work," gives me a feeling of hope that says that even though I've fallen, I can still get back up. Every time I am

Satires In Aldous Huxley'sChildren Are Our Future?
Children are our future!
When people say "Children are our future!". That would be right if we really listen to them and change the world before the people who is take
away our words and rights away and will to make the world an unacceptable world to live in. We better hope for the best that the adult would let us
change the world and make it a brighter place for the future of our children to advance the world and make it better. Brave New Worldand Idiocracy are
satirizing about how we should change the present before the future gets out of hand, but Idiocracy uses satire better than Brave New World. In the
book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Huxley has plenty of scenes in the book that show satire to prove that the future will be messed up if the
people don't resolve the problems they have. People who read Huxley's books will learn from the past and change the future. Huxleys shows these
problem by using satire, some satire messages he's hinted in the book was when they start manufacturing children instead of making children
naturally. They call it a "Bokanovsky's Process" (Huxley 6). What they do here in the Bokanovsky's process is take an egg, embryo and a adult and
"Bokanovskified egg will bud, will proliferate, will divide. From eight to ninety buds ... Making ninety–six human being grow where only one grew
before. Progress" (Huxley 6). With the manufacture of baby there is no need for family and reproducing. Even with the need of not reproducing they

The Future Planning For Our Young And Old
Our country, Genovia, believes in a very involved community approach when it comes to educating our young and old. This involvement carry's all
the way through education until students complete junior college, with a major goal and focus on trying to help students find their way in this world.
A few of the many services provided to help student stay on tract, and involved includes a program called "future planning", meal plans, school choice,
and after school care.
The "future planning" program is an attempt to allow students the chance to observe possible jobs opportunities they may choose in the future.
Specifically, we want to students, starting at a young age to be exposed to various workplaces by allowing them to actually see what occurs during a
normal day in that profession. There would be allotted one on one time for the students to talk with the professionals and ask questions about whatever
they would like, ranging from simply how do you like this job, to what did it take to get where you are today. We feel that even the younger students
can appreciate and benefit from going on these "field trips". We are hopeful that these experiences will allow student to understand that no matter the
circumstances they come from, they have the opportunity to be successful.
Meal plan services are a necessary function if education and graduation rates are to rise. At first glance it may not seem like the two are connected, but
they truly are; if students do not eat enough food

Fossil Fuels And Our Future
Fossil Fuels and Our Future While the human race may believe its time on this planet will not to come to an end for a vast expanse of time, if
humanity as a whole does not consider a change of behavior, then our end may come much soon than we expect. In this day and age, fossil fuels are
a necessity to continue our day to day activity; without them we would eliminate a vast quantity of items that simplify tasks in everyday life.
Although newer, more sustainable sources of generating power become more prevalent as time goes on, our society relies too much on plastics to be
able to completely eliminate the consumption of fossil fuels. Much of our daily life depends on products made from fossil fuels, but fossil fuels are a
finite resource and are currently burying us in pollution. However, the efficient use of renewable energy will sustain us far longer and still allow us to
continue use of essential products from the remaining fossil fuels. Simply put, with the Earth's fossil fuel reserves dwindling, we must emphasize the
use of sustainable energy sources to buy the human race more time to find a suitable replacement for production of goods made from fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are intrinsic for our daily lives as they are used in everything from general fuel that we use to power things and fertilizers to allow for
expedited growth of plants, to the creation of plastic and pharmaceuticals that are essential to life in this day and age (What Are Fossil Fuels Used
For). Some

Losing Our Future
Losing Our Future: How Minority Youth are Being Left Behind by the Graduation Rate Crisis
By Gary Orfield , Daniel Losen, Johanna Wald and Christopher B. Swanson
Every year, across the country, a dangerously high percentage of students–disproportionately poor and minority–disappear from the educational pipeline
before graduating from high school. Nationally, only about 68 percent of all students who enter 9th grade will graduate "on time" with regular
diplomas in 12th grade. While the graduation rate for white students is 75 percent, only approximately half of Black, Hispanic , and Native American
students earn regular diplomas alongside their classmates. Graduation rates are even lower for minority males. Yet, because of misleading... Show more

Because that goal has been impeded in the past by grossly inaccurate and misleading official dropout data, this report spells out in some detail how we
arrived at our figures, and why we assert that the methods we used provide far more accurate information than is currently officially reported by both
the federal government and by most states. This analysis draws on the expertise of Dr. Christopher Swanson of the non–partisan The Urban Institute,
one of the nation's leading experts on enrollment and graduation rate data. As co–author, Dr. Swanson calculated the graduation rates employed
throughout the report using the "Cumulative Promotion Index" (CPI). CPI is a method he independently developed and tested to provide more
accurate graduation rate estimates.
The report combines findings of a comprehensive review of graduation rate accountability derived from each state's website, along with interviews of
state education officials. Finally, the report provides recommendations on how both the federal government and individual states can act to address this
crisis.
Woven throughout this report are narratives about students who have either dropped out or felt "pushed" out of school, often due to the pressure
experienced by officials to raise their schools' overall test profiles. Collectively, these stories highlight the critical need to provide individual schools and
school districts with positive incentives to hold onto more students through graduation.

Training Our Children for a Bright Future
"Train up a child in the way that he should go and when
He is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22: 6 Introduction: The current news that we know especially in Japan and Libya have caused great alarm to most of us. A lot of questions
arise regarding the kind of the world our earth is heading up to. Reading II Timothy 3:1–10 and Matthew 24 makes us aware that this world, apart from
God, is heading towards turmoil! How then can we give hope and assure ourselves that our children will have a brighter future? My purpose in

How should we train our children?
I. THE SYSTEM THAT WE SHOULD EMPLOY IN TRAINING OUR CHILDREN. There must be a dedication. The word "chanak" translated "train"
occurs 5 times in the Old Testament. It is found twice in Deut. 20:5; I Kings 8:63–where Solomon dedicated, "chanak" the temple. In II Chronicles 7:5–
Solomon dedicated the temple and here in Proverbs 22:6. It is similar to our "ground–breaking" ceremony. There must be excitement and enthusiasm in
doing the training of our children.
Application:
There must be discernment of the child's habits, interests, moods, inclinations and attitudes. We must consider the child's individuality and inclinations
when we give our instructions to inexperienced children. These directives should be in keeping with the degree of our child's moods. It is necessary to
know and understand our child's moods. There must be discipline, personal touch and connection. Don't depend upon your yayas, parents. Brothers and
even public and private teachers to train your children. Don't delegate your duty to other people the privilege of training your children
Personal Story:
Application: have a firm exhortation, faithful example and consistent emphasis in your life. II. THE SUBJECTS THAT WE SHOULD
EMPHASIZE IN THE TRAINING OF OUR CHILDREN The first thing to train our children is the subject of Reverence to God. Proverbs 1:7 says,
"The fear of the lord is the beginning of knowledge,

Essay On Our Sustainable Future
Our Sustainable Future The world we know is changing. Human civilization has had an unappalled effect on the entire world. From the amount of
resources we use, to the amount of harmful chemicals we release into the atmosphere, we are greatly affecting our planet. For humanity to survive
and thrive, many changes need to be put into place in order to secure our spot in the future. We need to figure out a way to sustain and fix the
planet we have, before we do even more irreparable damage to it. The constant utilization of fossil fuels has released an unprecedented amount of
CO2 in the air, as well as other harmful particulates. As of 2011, the concentrations from CO2 in the air reached 391.3 ppm, which rose from
399.56 from the previous year (worldwatch.org, 2013). We, as a people have begun to realize the effects we've been having, and are starting to
come up with plans to fix the problems we made. This paper is going to talk about policy changes that can be put into effect that will drastically
improve our air quality, and make sure our Earth is sustainable for generations to come. First something needs to be done about the oil usage in the
United States. We are entirely too reliant on oil, gasoline, and the like. As of 2009, the world produced and used around 76 billion liters of ethanol
and 16 billion liters of biodiesel for that year (Worldwatch.org, 2010). The burning of these fuels releases carbon and other gases into the air. The

High School Curriculum And Our Future
High School Curriculum and Our Future: When was the last time you thought about your future? These days, many school systems are requiring their
students to fill our career–planning forms as young as elementary school. By the time you have reached the high school level, you should have a
pretty good idea of what you want to do with your life. You may change your mind over time, but you should at least be thinking about your future at
this stage, because your future is approaching faster than you might want to believe. Part of your concern should be on whether or not you are
prepared to face the real world when you step out of the doors of your high school for the last time. When you receive your diploma in that graduation
line, are you really going to be prepared to study at a university or start working a regular job? If the answer is no, then your high school curriculum
might not be focusing on the future of the students. A high school curriculum that focuses on the future is a high school curriculum that prepares
students for the future. First, let's think about the different versions of high school curriculums. All of them include the basics such as mathematics,
English, and so on. However, there are others that include computer applications, online coding, business/economics mathematics, and more in–depth
subjects such as these. These more advanced curriculums are taking into consideration the fact that students aren't going to grow up doing homework

Telenursing: Is It in My Future? Heather Perry CHAMBERLAIN Information Systems in Healthcare NR361 January 25, 2015 Telenursing: Is It in My
Future? Telehealth is a comprehensive term used to describe the use of technology including videoconferencing, telephones, and the Internet to provide
medical services and education (Lillibridge & Hanna, 2009). Telehealth combined with telenursing, using that technology to provide nursing services
(Hebda & Czar, 2013), make it possible to deliver convenient, efficient, evidence based care while everyone remains in the comfort of their own home.
Working from home in fuzzy pajamas and bunny slippers, away from co–worker drama, no patient lifting, no micromanaging, just your and your
patient. If that sounds like a dream come true, then telehealth and telenursing might be just what the doctor ordered, or is it? Remember, the patient is
at a distance, no hands on, or ears on physical assessment (Stokowski, 2008). How can the trust necessary for an effective nurse–patient relationship
develop? Does efficient really mean impersonal? Maybe a closer look at the advantages and disadvantages is in order. Advantages Today's technology
allows telenursing care to be provided in formats beyond nurse staffed telephone triage lines. Video cameras, the internet, and the installation of

The Environment: Our Future
Reports from the U.N. have pushed the focus of the international community to the pressing issue of climate changes due to Global Warming. Scientists
have proclaimed that the warning signs of global warming are unequivocal. It was concluded that global warming is most likely man–made, and its
effect will impact the world for centuries.
Global warming is basically the increased in temperature of the Earth. Human activities are said to be the main causes of this phenomenon. For
example, we produced excessive carbon dioxide when burning fuels to produce energy since Industrial Revolution. The large emission of greenhouse
gases such as carbon dioxide is one of the culprits trapping the heat on Earth, and raising global temperatures.
The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The world would not be able to withstand this change in temperature. The last Ice Age was only about 3oC lower than our current temperature. This is
how serious our situation are, and we are all to be taking this information seriously and give it our best shot to reduce the effect of global warming.
In order to do so, we must reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. We can always turn to using renewable energies, like wind, nuclear and solar
energy. Though this are not things that we, citizens, can decide on. However, there are definitely things which all of us could do to put in an effort to
reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in.
When travelling, the main aim is to reduce number of vehicles on the road because travelling vehicles produce carbon monoxide, which is a greenhouse
gas. Studies have shown that eight out of every ten vehicles on the road are private cars, thus I urge all drivers to consider taking public transport,
instead of personal vehicles. For shorter distance travelling, we can always bike or walk the short distance. For those who do not need to use a car
that often, try car–sharing, where a group of people will own a car and take turns driving it.For drivers, you should always plan your journeys so that
you will take a lesser period of time to get to your destination. This will save petrol and prevent unnecessary driving. Drivers should also consider
buying hybrid cars instead of

5 November 2015 Resources For the Future: How Renewables Will Improve the Future

We as humans have changed the world we live in, carving it and reforming its landscapes for our beneficial needs. Though we make many
improvements that help advance the world as a whole, we also cause many problems. Problems such as increasing in air pollution, causing health and
life threatening illnesses, and inflicting damage to the Earth. Renewable resources are the resolution to the problem of our mistakes. Renewables
resources even though having much criticism in the past are now needed more than ever. Renewable resources contribute by not only having a surplus
amount of resources, but by having positive effects on the environment and the people. Though renewable energy is very efficient, clean, and unlimited
there are objectors of this idea such as Jesse H. Ausubel. In his article "Renewable Energy is Not Beneficial for the Environment" he expresses his
ideas of how the world doesn 't need renewable resources and how it will lead to a downfall. He backs his claim with statistics about how wind, solar,
and hydroelectricity is a useless investment. Ausubel is an environmental scientist that has two Ph.Ds in environmental science, graduated from
Harvard College, and is a director of the Program of Human Environment. Sources that support renewable energy are organizations such as Union of

Knowing our history is vital to pursuing our future. Our history needs to be our guide in making the changes necessary to end the violence. Violence
against women has been sanctioned throughout history. We need to know the struggles of those who came before us. By knowing our history we
honor their spirits, we keep the flame of justice alive and it brings us to the stark reality that we have much work still to do.

How Will Our Future Be? Essay
How Will Our Future Be?
The way the future is heading seems to be very clear but as before things may change. The time to come will never reveal itself until it has actually
been.
From this point of view I will try to describe the way I see the future coming our way.
One of the major aspects when discussing the future is how will the law be handled and how power will be dealt with. Will we be able to decide for us
self what we want to do with our lives and will the right of every individual be respected, as written in the constitution. There is no way I could be
forced to believe otherwise. Our society today is made to decide if every citizen in
Denmark should have some sort of card that you used for multiple things. Your... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The network is so fast you never experience the bottleneck when transferring data like in the old days. This is a major advantage for the large number
of people working from their own homes. They use a technology called net–meeting if they have to discuss some paperwork over the net. It is possible
to both look at your colleague in the video–chatter and at the same time write in the word– processor while the other person is watching and
commenting. The schools all over the world is using this technique to exchange information. There is also a separate net called cyber–net. This is even
more advanced than the other net. It is the ultimate cyber–space where you virtually can be anywhere on the entire planet, and you can even visit the
other planets in our solar system. This net is based on the sophisticated Virtual Reality Nirvana 3D technology. In spite of the wide spread of
computers in all the layers of society it is only the really big companies and their employees that takes VRN–3D into use. Imagine a world which is
like a movie where there only will be good things, No pain.
In this society year 2096, every one almost is living in the cities from where they control their daily function. Even the farmers live in the city. They
have given up the dirty work and started to maintain their acres and their stocks from computers. They have agents checking on the cattle 24 hours a
day. They do this by a

Our Posthuman Future Summary Essay
Our Posthuman Future
Chapter 1:
At the beginning of Our Posthuman Future by Francis Fukuyama, it talks about two different books: 1984 and Brave New World. These books talk
about multiple technologies that would change and shape the next two generations. For the decade that these books were published it had them think
that having a utopian world would have no consequences. I disagree with it for the most part, because if we are created to have certain qualities or
characteristics then we would lose the understanding of what it means to be human. It referred to invetro fertilization and Fukoyama thought it was a
deal with the devil. And it is in a way. We shouldn't be allowed to mess with the creation of life or choose what they would... Show more content on

But I doubt it will give us the motivation for us to set our own ideals. I still believe that these few drugs are not good for us. With our luck there will
probably be an unforeseen side–effect and then where would we be, back to square one.
Chapter 4:
Chapter four talks about the prolongation of life and the increase of life expectancies. In a way this is a bad economically because of social
security and other retirement benefits. It also talks about evolutionary biologists that ten to believe that aging is caused by genes and that there
are no shortcuts to the postponement of death. I do tend to agree with this for the most part. It does not matter much how you live your life
because anything can cause your time to end in a moment. No one knows when a person is going to die because there are too many factors to
consider. Another theory is that the body loses its functionality and just dies. And then there is also the Hayflick Limit, where environmental
factors prevent the accurate copying of DNA. I think that if someone were to die due to health issues it would follow more of this idea. In time I
do believe that the view point of death will change. Will a person be able to understand that their body is going out or will they fight tooth and nail
to stay alive? Fear of dying plagues us all. We may be able to understand more why we die in 2050

Our Nation's Future
My fellow gentlemen, I know that you are all anxious and concerned about our nation's
future. We have been oppressed by the tyranny of England's rule, faced a bloody and devastating
war, and our new system of government, the Articles of Federation, have proven to be
ineffective in governing our nation. I know that many of you believe that our best hope for
the future is to amend the articles, but I know now that we will not last as a nation if we do not
learn from our mistakes. The previous system was unsuccessful, which is why my fellow
congressman and I have proposed a constitution which will completely replace the articles and
be a much more effective and empowering for our nation than the articles have been. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We also have no national militia
to protect this nation from Rebels or foreign enemies. We look incompetent and disgraceful to
foreign nations who will not take us seriously and it is all because the articles cripple our central government's power.
It is clear that the articles of confederation have given too much power to the states and
have created a weak central government that is unable to protect the interests of our country. It is
for these reasons that the constitution gives more power to the central government by allowing it
to enforce taxes, establish laws and guidelines, and have a stronger central militia for the
country. I know that this sounds like a dangerous step towards the tyranny that we saw under
England, but the constitution was written with these concerns in mind. While the central
government has more power it does not have absolute power. In fact not only does the
constitution not embrace tyranny it actively prevents it.
The central government's power will be broken up into three branches of government.
Each of these branches will handle different tasks as well as keep the other branches in check

Is It Worth Our Earth, Health, And Future?
Planets, Aliens, and Other Things Beyond Our Earth
Have you ever wondered what goes beyond the Earth? There could even be another species living outside this Earth! I personally think that going
to Mars would provide many benefits for us. It's a risky project, but sometimes you just have to take risks to succeed. We are advancing in our space
knowledge, but why? Although it is a very dangerous mission that could possibly end in death, we are developing technology to through with the
plan. We are going into the dark space without even knowing what 's out there. We are diving headfirst with the risk of our lives. Is it worth it? How
will going to Mars benefit our knowledge of our Earth, health, and future?
Some people think that there 's no point in exploring what 's beyond the world. They say that it's a waste of money or that it 's too dangerous. They
point out that, "the pull of gravity would collapse the human body. The muscle groups are designed around the force of the gravity of the Earth"
(Fong). This is true, but we could design exercises to keep our muscles in shape and working condition. We can actually make a study with
experiments to see what could help astronauts adapt to the change of gravity. This research could also help improve our life on earth. Others explain
that robots could do the job for us. They say, "Robots can do the job. There would be no need to send water and supplies" (Briers). Although this
could be an easier option, we would still need to

Our Energy Future
Kyle Smyre
June 6 2011
Period 2
Mr. Watts
Our Energy Future Currently, it's clear that there is an immense problem with the prospect of society's energy needs for the future. Such a large
dependency on limited fossil fuels are already dampening the world's economy, and following this path will simply ensure a destitute future. However,
changes could be made in today's time to prevent such an event from occurring, but it will require many separate state entities to work together and no
longer undermine each other's attempts at reform. Some alternatives to fossil fuels include solar, hydro, and wind power, but replacing the resources
would only be a small step to protecting the future. A more necessary change would be the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is mainly because there's certain parts of the States that are abundant in renewable resources, and high–voltage power lines were be required to
connect these regions to cities and suburbs where more people live. With this, renewable resources would be able to please the ever–changing demand
of energy in various parts of the world. Fossil–fuel sources could be "activated" when they were needed, and turned off when they were not being
used. However, wind farms would only produce energy when the wind blows and solar arrays only when the sun shines. With high–voltage power lines
connecting various regions, and allow for a base supply of energy throughout the day and could also account for peaks in activity, such as when
people get home from work and turn on the electronic appliances within their house. With more power lines connecting power sources over a broad
area, renewable resources could be a solution because the wind is always blowing somewhere. As well as travel distances, a more advance grid could
shift power to where it was more in demand at different times throughout a different day. Another arguable need would be more, safer nuclear reactors.
Nuclear power is the biggest non–carbon based energy source, and is the only one that's already being carried out on a large scale; it won't be replaced
anytime soon. Unfortunately, this the one source that also scares the public the most, as it can be the most

Why Are Veterans Important To Our Nation's History And Future
"Why are veterans important to our Nation's history and future?" Many people believe that veterans are very important to our past, present, and future
because of all they have done. There are many reasons that veterans are important, but the main thing to remember is that they made the sacrifice to
make sure we stayed free. I've noticed that many veterans from major wars have been passing at an extremely high rate, and to add onto that they
haven't been getting the recognition they deserve. They have changed the nation to make it what it is.A very well known reason that veterans are
important to our past is that they shaped the nation toe not only make it but keep it free. Without veterans ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

incredibly difficult situations or problems. Without veterans, face it the world would be different it wouldn't be as free as it is. I know that it's not
completely free due to I.S.I.S. the "Muslim" Ultranationalist group and others like it. If we hadn't helped with world war two Hitler and Stalin would
have crushed the allies and they may have moved to us next. After Kim IL Sung had invaded South Korea in nineteen–fifty which started the Korean
War, if we hadn't intervened South Korea would have been under communist control. Without us going to Kuwait they wouldn't have survived the
invasions from the Iraqi soldiers. There is a very legitimate reason that they are important for our future, which is that they bring you the knowledge
from their mistakes and new ideas from their experiences. Have you ever sat down with a family member or just a random veteran

Nanotechnology And Its Effects On Our Future
Imagine that, in the near future, you need surgery in your lungs. Currently, it would be very invasive and very risky to do surgery on your lungs. But,
with advances in nanotechnology, the surgery could be quick and painless. There could be almost no risk attributed to surgeries like nowadays, and it
would not be nearly as invasive either. Nanotechnology is something that isn't necessarily new, it has been talked about and worked upon for many
years. However, there have been advances in this field that have led to new and also exciting discoveries. Surgeries, for example, are one of the
things that nanotechnology has seen a promising future for. There is, however, a dark side of this. While there are many innovations that have
launched this technology to the forefront of many scientists' minds, there are also skeptics and nonbelievers that say this technology could do more
harm than it could good. There are many pros, but there are even more cons to this technology. This reason is why so many people say that we
should not be pushing this technology as far and as hard as we currently are. If there is not a change in the rapid growth of this technology, there could
be some undesirable consequences. There is a nearly universal belief that cancer is horrible. There is also nearly universal belief that the treatments we
have today for cancer are not effective at all, and they are also not safe. Chemotherapy is one of the most widespread treatment options, and it clearly

Creativity Is Important For Our Future
Creativity is no longer being looked upon as simply a thing that 'right–brained' people hold. It is seen as a driving force that is needed in America so the
society as a whole can prosper and the country can continue to compete globally on the economic level. While participants in the debate about
creativity in education agree about the notion that creativity is vital to future societal growth, they disagree about in what ways creativity is important,
how creativity should be introduced in college, and how much emphasis it should hold.
Some say creativity is dying. Some say creativity is a thriving force that simply needs to be highlighted. However, majority say that creativity is
needed. This need is due to the desire to stay innovated and distinguished from other countries in the world. For example, Richard Florida said,
"Creativity at once is our most precious resource". This shows how detrimental to our future Florida believes creativity is. However, people that share
the beliefs of John Calhoun would see that creativity is important as an accessory to the science and math courses taught at colleges (Calhoun).
Nevertheless, creativity is seen as a vital resource for the young adults of America because this type of intuitive thinking is seen as a necessity for
future innovation. Therefore, in order to stay a global power, people are realizing that creativity, the art of thinking outside the box, should be taught in
college education.
However, after the conclusion that

Apollonia Johnson Professor Kroh POLS 2301 April 25th 2016 Intergovernmental Unions – Our future? "Imagine there 's no countries, it isn 't hard to
do" In 1971 John Lennon together with Yoko Ono wrote these lyrics with world peace in mind about a place without borders and confrontation. It
became his bestselling single ever and with good reason; people found the lyrics to ring true in their hearts. A world where every nationality is
human. In theory it sounds quite simple. Every day I wake up loving the person next to me, smiling and showing kindness in places that appear absent
of such touch. People recognize that we are moving quickly into an age of technology and some fear that face to face encounters will diminish to the
point where it will become hard to interact in normal day to day situations. I couldn't agree more. Simple things such as hanging out with friends at a
shopping mall have reverted into snapchat, sitting indoors all day at home and online shopping. People with the ability to emphasize with real
individuals who are in need is shrinking with each new generation it feels like. The 21st century is full of changes that are happening too fast for one
mind to compute, analyze and most certainly to predict. It is growing more important now than ever that we have a government system which we so
heavily rely on, that can lead with more humanitarian agendas. A government that will continue to advocate collective ownership and administration of

Our Driverless Future Summary
"Our Driverless Future" is an article narrated in the third person point of view. In this article, Halpern expresses the many concerns with autonomous
vehicles that will be created and used in the near future. She begins by stating that semiautonomous cars equipped with new technologies and safety
features, such as "autopilot" mode, actually focus the driver's attention to many areas but the road. It is already seen that due to these features, there
is an increase in collisions and a lack of safety on the road. Therefore, Google and other companies proposed the idea of self–driving vehicles that
eliminate split responsibility between the driver and the car. Although this mobility revolution might sound appealing to some people, especially young

Are We Prisoners of Our Past
What impact does past has on our future
I am a Vice President of company with the name' "Technology Systems" specializing in computers and peripheral equipments. Two years back, we
decided to do a merger with one of our competition as the global recession had a crunching effect on our business and the only viable solution
ensuring sustainability was this merger. A lot of question arose while we were going through the planning phase. I was asked by the board of
directors to work out the plan entailing this merger as I already had a similar experience in my last organization. I couln't help not separating this
phase of my life from the one that I encountered in the past. What Kiet De Vries, said about people being prisoners of their past, seems rather true now.
Our past defines the meaning of life for us. People who have learned well from their past are effective leaders who provide hope, imagination and
motivation to their team. It is only great leaders who learn from their experience and utilize their lesson in developing healthy teams and effective
organizations by inspiring their team members at personal level which makes them derive the best results out of their team. Organizations may fail if
they employed people who don't learn from their past lives, in fact make their past hold them back, despite all the resources and opportunities
available. If the employees of an organization are driven by the weaknesses their past life has sown in

Analysis Of Our Stolen Future
In our day and age, thousands of everyday things will pose great danger on individuals, families, animals, plants, and even whole species. Humans, of
course, have largely identified and addressed common environmental dangers for hundreds of thousands years, proven simply by evolutionary feats.
This is where the irony in human evolution is shown: we've spent years and years running from everything but ourselves. Our Stolen Future, Toxic Hot
Seat, and Hormones Disrupted, three revolutionary new–age works based on scientific studies, depict the artificial dangers we face everyday. Though
each source illustrates varied insight on these hazards in different ways –– synthetic chemicals in everyday objects, flame retardants in our homes, and

It is written by environmental zoologists Theo Colbum and John Peterson Myers, and science journalist Dianne Dumanoski. Of course, these authors
are well qualified by education and experience to write such an extremely timely and thought–provoking book that is far more that just "a scientific
detective story", as it claims. The book traces many highly disturbing effects of the widespread use and global distribution of specific modern synthetic
chemicals which, even in exceptionally low amounts, may acutely disrupt and impair standard and expected hormone function. This is not something
we can take lightly, for hormones orchestrate many things: they are the vital chemical messengers in our bodies; they orchestrate crucial stages of
growth and development; and, most importantly, they form specific features of sexual differentiation to brain organization and maturation. Granted,
these are not exactly well–known issues that beg the attention of the common passerby; rather, the prominence of these issues are often ignored or
concealed by the US Food and Drug Administration, which takes no action to curb the use of drugs that manifest such chemicals. But why is this? OSF
suggests that administrations like the FDA ignore hazards like these because most of these chemicals have no observable effects on adults. However, at
relatively low levels of contamination, they may have calamitous consequences to the unborn; in animals, they can result in disorientation of nesting
and mating; and in humans they have been linked to low sperm counts and learning and behavioral

though no good can come from them, the american people can have hope that we can get through it, together. If you look back on american history it

ago! I hope that we as americans can look back 50 – 60 years and see the wrong side of the fight. Let's not let history barrel over us again. I know that
we as american people can have hope in spite of this dark time. I have hope that there are good people in the world who did learn from history and
will choose the right side. We see history repeat over and over in the government, specifically during the presidential elections. During the presidential

My Generation And The Future Of Our Generation

  • 1. My Generation And The Future Of Our Generation Whether virtuous or erroneous, potential advancements made by my generation as a whole can be far larger in scale than the changes made by any of the preceding generations in all of human history. However, this isn't due to a disproportionate amount of prodigies or revolutionary thinkers. This is simply because of the advancements and efforts of our predecessors that we possess advantages and tools such as: a seemingly infinite pool of accessible knowledge, means to collaborate with the greatest minds the world has to offer, and increasing opportunities to create and revolutionize the world around us. One major contributing factor as to why my generation possesses the potential to cause major impacts on the future is the vast amount of information readily available to us. The pool of information isn't only found on the internet or in books, but also in the wisdom and experiences of the elder generations. The pool of information allows us to quickly solve problems and make more informed decisions. My generation's efforts can be directed towards the new problems that develop and to further the collective knowledge of humanity. This positive feedback loop promotes a future of increased efficiency at solving problems and making decisions. A time consuming part of the problem solving and decision making process is obtaining the information necessary. The more reliable information one has, the faster and easier the dilemmas are solved. Another advantage my generation has is the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Our Post Human Future Summary Annotated Bibliography Fukuyama, Francis. The biggest threat that Fukuyama sees from biotechnology, is that it could change our human nature and put us in a "post human" stage of history. Genetically engineered babies, or "designer babies" is one way that biotechnology could change the nature of humans. Fukuyama believes that state power regulating biotechnology could help preserve our post human future. Kaku, Michio.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bradley also elaborates on human cloning and how it is feared and opposed by most Americans, but as of this book (2012) there is no such thing. Lastly the author describes neuroenhancement and how they are already being taking advantage of; for example, many students take adderal to stay up late, focus, and study for exams. Suter, Sonia M. "A Brave New World of Designer Babies?" Berkeley Technology Law Journal 22.2 (2007): 897–969. Web. 5 Nov. 2015 In this article the author talks about the current eugenics that are being practiced in birth and in the near future. Suter's goal is to elaborate on eugenics in various aspects, so that humans can carefully evaluate current and future uses of reproductive technology. Humanity is converting to a newer form of eugenics known as "neoeugenics" where most humans will choose the right or moral reproductive decision according to the author. Suter explains how eugenics originated, how the society feels about eugenics, and the governments involvement in eugenics. Mankind's desire is to improve the human species through reproductive choices according to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Troubling Future of Our Nation There are series of issues that are gradually arising from the depth of our nation. Many of the problems root from the decisions and actions made today. One of these problems is the overpopulation that the U.S seems to be heading towards. With the freedom and laws that protect its people today, and the hopes and dreams of the golden tan glossed by the Californian sun, the U.S has been one of the biggest eye–candy for vacationers and those in search for a new place to start over. This can stir up problems in all direction. A bigger population comes with a higher demand. If you haven't noticed, hundreds of houses and recreations are being built all over the country to sufficiently satisfy the growing population. The increase of buildings, roads, and other man–made constructions results in the destruction of natural habitats that belong to living organisms of our ecosystem that can soon become endanger and eventually die out of extinction. If this continues, adequately sized natural environments will no longer be accessible and those growing up in the future of the country will not be able to appreciate these natural resources and beauty that we strongly rely on ("World Population Awareness."). The U.S has quickly became a high consuming nation and at this rate, these raw materials and natural resources we heavily rely on to satisfy these wants and essentials will soon be scarce. Of course there is also the risk and damaging of air quality even more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Is American History Our Hope For The Future Why is American history our hope for the future? American history is one of, if not, the most important lesson we will ever learn as we have fought with mistakes and success in our lives and stories. Each new generation has a longer story or history as each new human adopts their ancestors stories as their introduction to their story. Today I wanted to write this speech on part of my introduction, my mom's introduction, but a chapter of my grandfather's story, the Vietnam War. Now in order to properly understand why Americanhistory is our hope for the future, I need to briefly explain what history means to me, what Vietnam means to my story and then How this speech answers Why American history is our hope for the future. • 5. Is Fracking Our Energy Future? Four Colorado Front Range cities, Boulder, Longmont, Loveland, and Fort Collins voted to place restrictions on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking as it is sometimes referred to, in the November 2013 elections. Greeley, a neighboring community, has made a statement in the opposite direction. According to journalist Natalya Savka, "There is no talk of a fracking ban in this city of 427 wells, a number that is predicted to quadruple within the next few years" (45). Hydraulic fracturing is the future of clean energy production in the United States, according to the gas and oil industry experts. Alex Prud'homme, author of Hydrofracking: What Everyone Needs to Know, says that hydrofracking is defined in different ways by different people. Prud'homme states the following: To those in the energy industry, it refers purely to the process of injecting fluids –which consist of water and between three and twelve chemicals, including hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride, methanol, and isopropyic ethanol, that serve various functions–underground at high pressure to crack open shale rock, release natural gas or oil trapped there, and allow the hydrocarbons to flow to the surface. (24) To most people, hydrofracking or fracking is just an easy way to describe the processes used to drill a well and extract oil and gas from the site. Weld County, where Greeley is the largest city, is home to "more than 20,000 active oil and gas wells," the most in the United States (Savka 45). The city is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Future of the Arctic Is in Our Hands Preface The arctic is facing today drastic climate changes that, together with technological development will in the near future disclose the Arctic's economic potential. We, the people of Greenland, believe that the inhabitants of the Arctic should be the first to benefit from the economic opportunities theArctic will bring. As historical inhabitants of the Arctic it is our responsibility to make it a peaceful and rich region ensuring at the same time the safeguard of its environment. The future of the Arctic is in our hands. Kridneh Gnireeh, prime minister of Greenland. Introduction The Arctic has been warming faster than any other region on the planet: Greenland's ice sheet has experienced a steady melting and will along with the Arctic's ice caps contribute to the rise of the global sea levels. Climate change will affect the natural environment enabling the exploitation of oil, gas and minerals, the melting of the Arctic ice caps will open new and more cost efficient trading routes namely the Northern Sea route and the Northwest Passage, in which Greenland will play a strategic role due to its geographical location. The warming of the seas will permit Greenlandic fisheries to expand their activities by locating new fishing grounds further north. In 2009 Greenlanders voted in favor of the Self–Goverment Act which transferred more powers from the Government of Denmark to the local Greenlandic government, among these the right to administrate mineral resource ... My family has always lived here as with me and all have been raised here. Family members of mine have served in the military as well. It is a peaceful place to be and I plan to live here forever. America is a good place to be and a nice place to start a family. We have fifty states and they are all completely different. The government is set up so that we can vote and choose for who takes charge. If you choose you can join the armed forces and fight for the country. Why must damage and suffering occur for us to realize that, as a nation, we need to work side by side to help one another in need? The attacks on September 11th, 2001 will never go without remembrance because of the pain and suffering of thousands of fatalities and injuries. Our nation was in devastation from the loss of loved ones in the attack. The strength in response on that day for support was immense. Those individuals who chose to aid did so on their own. They joined together to warm the cold, tangible fingers of death. I hope to see the day where our nation can regularly join in union to support one another without pain. I wish to see the smiles and hear the laughter of our nation's people instead of the regular calamity that bloodshed brings to our arms. I optimism for our nation's eyes to be opened to the destruction and pain that is brought forth from our everyday lives. Millions of people are homeless, including veterans and children. I hope for our arms to open and provide a home for those in need. I hope for hate and ridicule to cease from our hearts because of simple appearances. I intend to see forgiveness in our hearts. Millions of young men and women put their life on the line when they serve their country in the military. I miss my brother but appreciate his sacrifice.Like my brother who gave his life for my future, my hope is that he will not have died in vain. • 10. Our Students Are Our Future Our students are our future. Our alumni will eventually run our nation and they are what our world will come to depend on. It is our job to successfully teach them and equip them with the skills they need to live successful lives and teach their future generations. Currently we are not completely fulfilling our responsibility. Many of us only see the problem in our teachers, but it 's not totally their fault. Our entire system is corrupt, from the standardized tests to the curriculum. The system simply does not work for all types of people. Many people believe teachers to be like day care workers with extra education: they watch our kids, keep them safe and out of trouble, and as a bonus: they teach them valuable things instead of putting them in front of a T.V. or game console. Imagine paying the average educator three dollars an hour per child for the amount of time they watch them in a school day. Assuming there are thirty children in a class, annually that would equal over one hundred thousand dollars. Due to the fact that furthering your education increases your value to an institution, we should pay the teachers that have earned master's degrees and/or have special ED training minimum wage. That would be eight dollars per child, so their annual wage would come to a little under three hundred thousand dollars. Reality isn't so bequeathing and our teachers are only earning an average of fifty thousand dollars per year. We get what we pay for, and we are not investing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dystopian fiction is likely to be part of our future, whether it is the literature or parts of the government being adopted. Some parts of our future that dystopian fiction can have on us could be our literature. Many people know this is a popular genre. • 12. American History: Our Hope For The Future American History: Our Hope for the Future Before we go into any specifics, let's talk about what hope is. Anthony, and Martin Luther King, Jr. has definitely found the meaning of hope in their hearts. Let us start from the beginning of the United States of America, the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was the brave man who wrote this divorce letter to the Great Britain. He thought that his fellow Americans were not treated fairly, and so he and the founding fathers decided that it was time to part ways with England. Even though Jefferson just wrote it he still contributed, with a set goal of having a better future. And with only his pen and paper, he helped his fellow Americans have hope and the will to fight for the future of America.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As we all know Thomas Edison was a famous inventor in the late 1800's. His inventions were the building blocks of what we use now in today's technology; such as our phones with which we can communicate and the electric lights that we use to see in the darkness. And as we all can see he was pretty successful with his inventions, but being an inventor gives you more chances to make mistakes. His famous quote, " I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work," gives me a feeling of hope that says that even though I've fallen, I can still get back up. • 13. Satires In Aldous Huxley'sChildren Are Our Future? Children are our future! When people say "Children are our future!". That would be right if we really listen to them and change the world before the people who is take away our words and rights away and will to make the world an unacceptable world to live in. We better hope for the best that the adult would let us change the world and make it a brighter place for the future of our children to advance the world and make it better. Brave New Worldand Idiocracy are satirizing about how we should change the present before the future gets out of hand, but Idiocracy uses satire better than Brave New World. In the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Huxley has plenty of scenes in the book that show satire to prove that the future will be messed up if the people don't resolve the problems they have. People who read Huxley's books will learn from the past and change the future. Huxleys shows these problem by using satire, some satire messages he's hinted in the book was when they start manufacturing children instead of making children naturally. They call it a "Bokanovsky's Process" (Huxley 6). What they do here in the Bokanovsky's process is take an egg, embryo and a adult and "Bokanovskified egg will bud, will proliferate, will divide. From eight to ninety buds ... Making ninety–six human being grow where only one grew before. Progress" (Huxley 6). With the manufacture of baby there is no need for family and reproducing. • 14. The Future Planning For Our Young And Old Our country, Genovia, believes in a very involved community approach when it comes to educating our young and old. This involvement carry's all the way through education until students complete junior college, with a major goal and focus on trying to help students find their way in this world. A few of the many services provided to help student stay on tract, and involved includes a program called "future planning", meal plans, school choice, and after school care. The "future planning" program is an attempt to allow students the chance to observe possible jobs opportunities they may choose in the future. Specifically, we want to students, starting at a young age to be exposed to various workplaces by allowing them to actually see what occurs during a normal day in that profession. There would be allotted one on one time for the students to talk with the professionals and ask questions about whatever they would like, ranging from simply how do you like this job, to what did it take to get where you are today. We feel that even the younger students can appreciate and benefit from going on these "field trips". We are hopeful that these experiences will allow student to understand that no matter the circumstances they come from, they have the opportunity to be successful. Meal plan services are a necessary function if education and graduation rates are to rise. At first glance it may not seem like the two are connected, but they truly are; if students do not eat enough food ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Fossil Fuels And Our Future Fossil Fuels and Our Future While the human race may believe its time on this planet will not to come to an end for a vast expanse of time, if humanity as a whole does not consider a change of behavior, then our end may come much soon than we expect. In this day and age, fossil fuels are a necessity to continue our day to day activity; without them we would eliminate a vast quantity of items that simplify tasks in everyday life. Although newer, more sustainable sources of generating power become more prevalent as time goes on, our society relies too much on plastics to be able to completely eliminate the consumption of fossil fuels. Much of our daily life depends on products made from fossil fuels, but fossil fuels are a finite resource and are currently burying us in pollution. However, the efficient use of renewable energy will sustain us far longer and still allow us to continue use of essential products from the remaining fossil fuels. Simply put, with the Earth's fossil fuel reserves dwindling, we must emphasize the use of sustainable energy sources to buy the human race more time to find a suitable replacement for production of goods made from fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are intrinsic for our daily lives as they are used in everything from general fuel that we use to power things and fertilizers to allow for expedited growth of plants, to the creation of plastic and pharmaceuticals that are essential to life in this day and age (What Are Fossil Fuels Used For). • 16. Losing Our Future Losing Our Future: How Minority Youth are Being Left Behind by the Graduation Rate Crisis By Gary Orfield , Daniel Losen, Johanna Wald and Christopher B. Swanson Every year, across the country, a dangerously high percentage of students–disproportionately poor and minority–disappear from the educational pipeline before graduating from high school. Nationally, only about 68 percent of all students who enter 9th grade will graduate "on time" with regular diplomas in 12th grade. While the graduation rate for white students is 75 percent, only approximately half of Black, Hispanic , and Native American students earn regular diplomas alongside their classmates. Graduation rates are even lower for minority males. Yet, because of misleading... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because that goal has been impeded in the past by grossly inaccurate and misleading official dropout data, this report spells out in some detail how we arrived at our figures, and why we assert that the methods we used provide far more accurate information than is currently officially reported by both the federal government and by most states. This analysis draws on the expertise of Dr. Christopher Swanson of the non–partisan The Urban Institute, one of the nation's leading experts on enrollment and graduation rate data. As co–author, Dr. Swanson calculated the graduation rates employed throughout the report using the "Cumulative Promotion Index" (CPI). CPI is a method he independently developed and tested to provide more accurate graduation rate estimates. The report combines findings of a comprehensive review of graduation rate accountability derived from each state's website, along with interviews of state education officials. Finally, the report provides recommendations on how both the federal government and individual states can act to address this crisis. Woven throughout this report are narratives about students who have either dropped out or felt "pushed" out of school, often due to the pressure experienced by officials to raise their schools' overall test profiles. Collectively, these stories highlight the critical need to provide individual schools and school districts with positive incentives to hold onto more students through graduation. This

Proverbs 22: 6 Introduction: The current news that we know especially in Japan and Libya have caused great alarm to most of us. A lot of questions arise regarding the kind of the world our earth is heading up to. Reading II Timothy 3:1–10 and Matthew 24 makes us aware that this world, apart from God, is heading towards turmoil! How then can we give hope and assure ourselves that our children will have a brighter future? The word "chanak" translated "train" occurs 5 times in the Old Testament. It is found twice in Deut. 20:5; I Kings 8:63–where Solomon dedicated, "chanak" the temple. In II Chronicles 7:5– Solomon dedicated the temple and here in Proverbs 22:6. It is similar to our "ground–breaking" ceremony. There must be excitement and enthusiasm in doing the training of our children. Application: There must be discernment of the child's habits, interests, moods, inclinations and attitudes. We must consider the child's individuality and inclinations when we give our instructions to inexperienced children. These directives should be in keeping with the degree of our child's moods. It is necessary to know and understand our child's moods. There must be discipline, personal touch and connection. Don't depend upon your yayas, parents. From the amount of resources we use, to the amount of harmful chemicals we release into the atmosphere, we are greatly affecting our planet. For humanity to survive and thrive, many changes need to be put into place in order to secure our spot in the future. We need to figure out a way to sustain and fix the planet we have, before we do even more irreparable damage to it. The constant utilization of fossil fuels has released an unprecedented amount of CO2 in the air, as well as other harmful particulates. As of 2011, the concentrations from CO2 in the air reached 391.3 ppm, which rose from 399.56 from the previous year (worldwatch.org, 2013). We, as a people have begun to realize the effects we've been having, and are starting to come up with plans to fix the problems we made. This paper is going to talk about policy changes that can be put into effect that will drastically improve our air quality, and make sure our Earth is sustainable for generations to come. First something needs to be done about the oil usage in the United States. We are entirely too reliant on oil, gasoline, and the like. As of 2009, the world produced and used around 76 billion liters of ethanol and 16 billion liters of biodiesel for that year (Worldwatch.org, 2010). These days, many school systems are requiring their students to fill our career–planning forms as young as elementary school. By the time you have reached the high school level, you should have a pretty good idea of what you want to do with your life. You may change your mind over time, but you should at least be thinking about your future at this stage, because your future is approaching faster than you might want to believe. Part of your concern should be on whether or not you are prepared to face the real world when you step out of the doors of your high school for the last time. When you receive your diploma in that graduation line, are you really going to be prepared to study at a university or start working a regular job? If the answer is no, then your high school curriculum might not be focusing on the future of the students. Telehealth is a comprehensive term used to describe the use of technology including videoconferencing, telephones, and the Internet to provide medical services and education (Lillibridge & Hanna, 2009). Telehealth combined with telenursing, using that technology to provide nursing services (Hebda & Czar, 2013), make it possible to deliver convenient, efficient, evidence based care while everyone remains in the comfort of their own home. Working from home in fuzzy pajamas and bunny slippers, away from co–worker drama, no patient lifting, no micromanaging, just your and your patient. If that sounds like a dream come true, then telehealth and telenursing might be just what the doctor ordered, or is it? Remember, the patient is at a distance, no hands on, or ears on physical assessment (Stokowski, 2008). How can the trust necessary for an effective nurse–patient relationship develop? Global warming is basically the increased in temperature of the Earth. Human activities are said to be the main causes of this phenomenon. In order to do so, we must reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. We can always turn to using renewable energies, like wind, nuclear and solar energy. We as humans have changed the world we live in, carving it and reforming its landscapes for our beneficial needs. Though we make many improvements that help advance the world as a whole, we also cause many problems. Problems such as increasing in air pollution, causing health and life threatening illnesses, and inflicting damage to the Earth. Renewable resources are the resolution to the problem of our mistakes. Renewables resources even though having much criticism in the past are now needed more than ever. Renewable resources contribute by not only having a surplus amount of resources, but by having positive effects on the environment and the people. Though renewable energy is very efficient, clean, and unlimited there are objectors of this idea such as Jesse H. Ausubel. In his article "Renewable Energy is Not Beneficial for the Environment" he expresses his ideas of how the world doesn 't need renewable resources and how it will lead to a downfall. He backs his claim with statistics about how wind, solar, and hydroelectricity is a useless investment. Our Stolen Future, Toxic Hot Seat, and Hormones Disrupted, three revolutionary new–age works based on scientific studies, depict the artificial dangers we face everyday. Though each source illustrates varied insight on these hazards in different ways –– synthetic chemicals in everyday objects, flame retardants in our homes, and bodily ... Of course, these authors are well qualified by education and experience to write such an extremely timely and thought–provoking book that is far more that just "a scientific detective story", as it claims. The book traces many highly disturbing effects of the widespread use and global distribution of specific modern synthetic chemicals which, even in exceptionally low amounts, may acutely disrupt and impair standard and expected hormone function. This is not something we can take lightly, for hormones orchestrate many things: they are the vital chemical messengers in our bodies; they orchestrate crucial stages of growth and development; and, most importantly, they form specific features of sexual differentiation to brain organization and maturation. Granted, these are not exactly well–known issues that beg the attention of the common passerby; rather, the prominence of these issues are often ignored or concealed by the US Food and Drug Administration, which takes no action to curb the use of drugs that manifest such chemicals. But why is this? OSF suggests that administrations like the FDA ignore hazards like these because most of these chemicals have no observable effects on adults. However, at relatively low levels of contamination, they may have calamitous consequences to the unborn; in animals, they can result in disorientation of nesting and mating; and in humans they have been linked to low sperm counts and learning and behavioral ... • 41. What Is Our Hope For The Future American History: Our Hope for the Future Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. That's a statement that we've all pobably heard before. It is true that american history can give us hope for the future while it can also bring to light pessimism and concern us. While there is many horrible things happening in the world today, I think we can all look towards the dark with hope. While the horrible events look as though no good can come from them, the american people can have hope that we can get through it, together. While some victims were armed and posed a threat, others were peaceful and had their hands raised in surrender. Today we see this happening, it's as if we never learned from the past. I cannot see how others fail to see that what is happening right now is exactly what happened back only 50 to 60 years ago! I hope that we as americans can look back 50 – 60 years and see the wrong side of the fight. Let's not let history barrel over us again. I know that we as american people can have hope in spite of this dark time. I have hope that there are good people in the world who did learn from history and will choose the right side. We see history repeat over and over in the government, specifically during the presidential elections. During the presidential election in november 2016 there was candidate slander galore. Everywhere you looked there was someone trash talking either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. They trashed each other and the american people took respective sides and joined the belittling. People speculated that this presidential election was one of the worst and most brutal. While it was pretty bad, history proves that we've always bad–mouthed the president and presidential candidates. Elections have always been harmful and many candidates have always participated in ... Many actions have a very strong symbol to be retrieved and taken account. Symbols many of the time demonstrate lessons and points to benefit the "good" in the world. Images tell many stories through the details, lighting, and, even with their title. Burke Uzzle's Woodstock image shows the great event of music, culture and, the pain all that went through it. Burke has been told that his career was "... like his pictures, is a nuanced composition blending American culture, individual psyches of particular places or people, and an atypical way of seeing ourselves, our values, and our community.
