The mast head is in the top left hand corner in front of the image so that it is clear and more obvious
too see this is because readers automatically start reading at the top left. So this way they clearly
notice who the magazine is by. Also the writing in the in the masthead has a different font to the
rest of the cover.
The picture of the artist takes up a huge amount of the page using a medium close-up and having a
direct address (looking at you). The image of the artist is portraying his personality as a rapper with
him not smiling and being happy etc but being a bit moody and emotionless trying to portray his
status of being ‘hard’ from this you can tell he is a rapper and also that what he is wearing is a
jumper with a gold chain another way that makes it more obvious.
The main cover line is saying he is ‘the king’ meaning his dominance of his rap culture but also to
make the readers want to purchase the magazine more as you feel as if you are getting more for
your money.
The colour of the magazine is black and red the style and mood of that is quite dark and relaxed. Not
with lots of contrasting colours making it all lively and upbeat.
