Different Types Of Presentation And Their Requirements
2.1 Explain the different types of presentation and their requirements
Presentation skills are the skills you need in delivering effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences. These skills cover a variety of
areas such as the structure of your presentation, the design of your slides, the tone of your voice and the body language you convey.
Each presentation type requires a specific organization technique to assure they are understood and remembered by the audience.
Types of presentations and their purpose
1. Informative
Keep an informative presentation brief and to the point.
Stick to the facts and avoid complicated information.
Time
Explains when things should happen.
Use words like "first," "second," "third," to list order.
Place
Works best with people who understand the group or area you are talking about
Use words like "Region 1, 2, 3, or 4" to explain order
Cause and Effect
Works best with people who understand the relationship between events
Use phrases like "Because of _____, we now have to ______"
Logical Order
Simply list items in their order of importance Works best with people who are accustomed to breaking down complex data into components inorder to
digest the material
2. Instructional
Your purpose in an instructional presentation is to give specific directions or orders.
In an instructional presentation, your listeners should come away with new knowledge or a new skill.

Re–purposing or re–packaging an article means giving it another form and format based on the exiting content and research. By re–packaging, you
spread your article even further. You expose it to new audiences; you allow to download it and save for further reference.
Repackaging is one of the most powerful content marketing tactics. It does require time, effort and inspiration but it pays back with more exposure,
links and recognition. This post is about different ways to re–package your content to give it wings. This post means to inspire.

2. eBooks and PDF's
Like with presentations, you can always re–package your content into PDF's to let users download it and view on iPad, share with friends and save
locally for further reference:
Re–organize your tips into one–page cheat sheet;
Re–arrange your article to create a mini eBook;
Interview a few really prominent people on the topic of your post and collect the interview into an eBook;
Collect related statistics to create a white paper.
Best tool to promote:

CONTENT MORE SOCIAL MEDIA EXPOSURE; HUGE COMMUNITY.
I have a larger list in this post on sharing your (SEO) documents. There are also eBook sharing and reviewing sites like GetFreeEbooks you can try to
use to increase exposure of your content.
Here's also a very sweet tip on how to promote your eBook which I thoroughly enjoyed because it is very practical and genuine. Here's an excellent
article on eBook revolution from DirJournal web directory.

Analyse the advantages and limitations of different methods of, and media for, making presentations
A variety of communication media can be considered when planning to produce a presentation, for example verbal communication and written
communication, each type of communication media has its advantages and limitations. When developing my presentation I decided to use both verbal
and written communication, although both communication methods were used I had to ensure that they were used in the correct quantities. To keep my
presentation engaging I tried to use as much visual representation as possible limiting the amount of text per slide. I chose to use PowerPoint because
of its combination of written and verbal communication (not to mention the cost effectiveness of choosing PowerPoint and simplistic interface); the
written aspects included the text on the slides, screenshots and images. The screenshots proved particularly useful as they was of the actual database
used in the daily running of the Apprenticeships Store, once paired with the demonstration of inputting data into the database it ensured greater
understanding due to more practical learning as opposed to theoretical learning. More detail was provided in my handouts ensuring I didn't give too
much information at once and this allowed the audience to document any supplementary information I said during the presentation, by speaking and
interpreting what was on the slides ensured the presentation remained fluid and

Scrum Board Case Study
1.See Scrum Board. 2.See Scrum Board. 3.I think scrum boards are helpful in showing you the things you need to complete. It also helps you keep
track of your work allowing you to pick–up where you left of. This makes doing homework assignments a lot easier and faster when there is a large
amount of problems. This makes organizing what needs to be done more effective. 4.I would use this in my BA251 class where we had to do a
group PowerPoint presentation. I could see how you could even make a scrum board for separate parts of the project. This would be good to use
because it would allow everyone to see how much a person has gotten done and how much still needs to be done. This would make that task simpler.

PowerPoint: An Efficient Tool Essay
PowerPoint is probably the most popular digital aid tool for presentations. It was created by the giant software developer Microsoft and presented to
the world for the very first time in 2000 according to Microsoft's web page. On the article "PowerPoint: Killer App?" the author, Ruth Marcus,
criticizes this application explaining the effects it is having on the way people makes and understands presentations these days, but she does not stay
there with her critiques. She goes further and asserts that PowerPoint could be one of the causes of the Columbia space shuttle crash in 2003 saying
that the rigid default format of the PowerPoint slides presented to the NASA senior managers the year of the accident made the situation look not as...

Since PowerPoint is being broadly used in all kinds of presentations especially in the educational and business industries, some of its most outstanding
characteristics will be discussed on the following paragraphs. On the article "Toward a Better Understanding of PowerPoint Deck Design" by David
Farkas, professor of the Department of Technical Communication at the University of Washington, he points out ten problems with the use and study
of this application. Some of the most important problems will be addressed next: The first one he discusses is the relationship between PowerPoint
and the organizational culture which deals with the fact that PowerPoint is not guilty of the bad organization of the users, in this case of NASA,
where they are required to have the capacity of deciding when PowerPoint is a suitable mean of communication and when it is not. On his second
point he classifies PowerPoint slide presentations in two categories, as performance support or for standalone use. He indicates that when the speaker
is creating a PowerPoint presentation he/she must be aware of the purpose of the slides, asking himself if the slides will be distributed to the audience
as a future reference and therefore should contain information that can be understood later, or if they will work just as a support during the
presentation and future references will be provided in a separated document. Farkas

My Research on Abortion
1.What did you learn about doing research? While conducting my research on abortion, I learned that there were different types of medical procedures
that abortionist utilized when aborting an embryo and fetus. However, I was familiar with what an abortion is, but never imagined the grotesque,
inhumane, and heinous techniques used to abort a human being even at the late stages of pregnancy. After watching numerous online videos of these
procedures, I feel it is morally wrong to have an abortion because there are thousands of women that cannot have children and have exhausted all the
possible ways to do so. In conclusion, completing this project and viewing these graphical pictures has given me a clearer understand what the process
entailed and how it was implemented.
2.How did you do your research? I researched this topic by viewing journal articles in the Baker College Database from the library. I looked for
books on the subject of Abortion to get a better sense what the procedure entailed and how it was conducted. I also utilized the internet to look for
pictures and statistics on Abortion. I finished the research project by looking for client testimonies on their experience with the procedure and their
well–being prior and after having it completed.
3.Did you learn how to do research in a new way? However, I did not learn how to do research in a new way. I conducted my research the same way
that I do for all my other projects. I usually have a system and

The rationale for using teams is that there are inherent synergies, such that the team is greater than the sum of its parts. Teams allow both functional
specialisation and collaborative interaction. Organisations should seek to form the most effective teams from their employees Australian workplaces
are amongst the most diverse in the world. Many generations of immigration have created a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. The workforce is
aging. There are more females employed and more employees come from non English speaking backgrounds. More people are shifting employers and
occupations, bringing with them a greater range of skills, experiences and value sets. As the workforce becomes more diverse, so too will work teams
These changes represent a challenge to Australian management. Diverse work teams operate differently to homogenous teams. There tends to be
greater friction, conflict and communication problems. However, there are substantial potential gains to be made. There is strong evidence that diverse
teams produce more creative and effective outcomes. In a dynamic environment where innovation and differentiation create strong competitive
advantages, organisations need to harness this creativity. As illustrated in Figure 3, there are three major components of

Reflection On Teaching

1.Summarize what you taught and what strategies you used.
I have had the experience to teach the class four times during the semester and each of them has helped me to learn a lot. Dr. Walenciak has been
traveling a lot so I have been in charge of the class those times. The first time, I was terrified the day before of the class. I needed to talk about the
chapter of Ostrander's book that talks about the history of Christian education. I prepared myself a lot and the day of the class I divided the time so the
students could work on a project that we have. I try to summarize the chapter while explaining it. I planned to talk for 25 minutes and I ended up
talking for 15 minutes. I was talking too fast and skipping important points without realizing about that. At the time of the class, I felt confident but I
was a little nervous and it was harder to express my ideas in English but I manage to overcome that. I was able to explain everything but I was a
little disappointed that I could not meet my time goal. After that, I ask them some questions to see if they have understood the topic. It was interesting
because I could feel somehow the feeling of the teacher when nobody participates in the class. At the beginning, everyone was quiet but after a while,
they start participating. To finish the class, I gave them some time to get in groups and discuss their progress for the final project. I asked for some
feedback after that to some students and they told me

group and I chose Microsoft as a company of our choice and collected all the data needed from the online sources. After enumerating the information
in excel, my group members and I transferred the graphs and charts by simply copy pasting. I believe that it was definitely an excellent idea for
creating a presentation because we were able to practice and put our skills learned in class to test.

Putting Together an Online Presentation that Isn't Boring...
Putting together an online presentation that is not boring is quite an endeavor that leads to a more difficult task of deciding which presentation tool
would work best. Which is which – the traditional Microsoft PowerPoint or the newer Prezi? The MPP has been the standard tool for many users
which has commanded most familiarization requirements in all organizational structures. The concept of Prezi on visual aids is a flash–based
application allowing the user to create a presentation using a large, blank page instead of the much familiar traditional slides. The main difference
pointed in between PowerPoint and Prezi as pointed out by both David Wicks and Phil Bird is the method of presentation which could be in the linear

The finished process results are considered by Bird as more appealing to the presentation audience as they are immersed in a kind of visual journey,
as in the zooming out and in on the presentation details which are far in contrast to PowerPoint's use of strictly steady slides. Planning with Prezi is
much simpler because one can get everything down on just one page and within it works out all its details. PowerPoint is fast becoming a trademark
for "boring" as users are unable to harness it for effective presentation design, but a considerable number of advanced users declare that PowerPoint
allows more high–end animation or a significant range of smooth and practical on–slide animation than Prezi. One can easily become proficient in
Prezi's transitions with its major feature of a giant canvass where one can zoom around in the information organized spatially which is much suitable
for presenting information that is spatially related. Prezi's organization of content diagrammatically or around large photos however is adversely
viewed with frames that are spatially related whether this makes sense or not. One can easily relate to motion sickness in the swirling movements as
zooming around the page, rotating text or the arrangement of content over large distances process adds to the confusion as to why the photos are
related to each other. Prezi

Technology has given anyone with basic computer knowledge the ability to create multimodal blended structure slide decks, and then distribute this

which can easily be applied to create slide–based presentations. These four principles include contrast, repetition, alignment and proximity. The proper
implementation of the principles are key to the creation of an effective slideshow presentation. Another influential reading from our course which I
am able to apply to my project is Visual Language for Designers. The main points I take from this reading, which are applicable to this project are the
idea of minimalism in a low fidelity visual and the idea of reducing the quantity of elements in a visual.
For this project, I also utilized other sources which dealt directly with the effective use of visual in presentations. One valuable project resource was a

Difference Between Technology And Technology
Difference between school with technology and without technology
With the pass of the time human's life has been change dramatically. One of the most notable thing is how technology has change people's life. For
example, you can ask your grandfathers how life was when technology didn't exist. Imagine how people communicate with someone else a couple
years back. People usually had to write letters that took days to arrive to the person or in some cases the letters got lost. Now days with the advance
of technology people only write an email or a text massager and they can be communicated instantly. It is clear that technology has become so
important in people's daily life. Technology not only change people's life style, it creates really good advantages in education. There are a lot of
differences between how school was before technology came out and now days with the advantages that technology brings with it. These advantages of
technology have made students' life easier.
Now with the advantages of technology most students have access to a computer that brings a lot of advantages with it. One of the advantages that a
computer brings is internet. It makes students life easier because now students have the opportunity to look for information on the internet. Basically,
students can have all the information that they want in the palm of their hands at any time that they want. For example, there are a lot of websites

Research Paper On Microsoft Powerpoint
Corporations across the globe consider the ability to deliver PowerPoint presentations in the business world an invaluable survival tool (Worley &
Dyrud, 2004). Microsoft PowerPoint is a software which allows users to create informative and engaging slideshow presentations to its audience via
laptop, projector, or over the internet (Coulthard, 2017). This software has numerous features to assist the user in developing quick and easy

The text in the slides were minimal in nature and to the point, but gave me just enough reference material to ad lib on the process of completing the
evaluations. Having predesigned templates to choose from made developing the PowerPoint an easier and quicker process.
Another feature offered in PowerPoint is the ability to add notes to a slide. Notes can be added to the slide so the presenter can elaborate to the
audience any additional information that goes with the slide. However, the notes do not fit on the slides (Bethel University, 2017). Slides only
allow minimal information to fit on each one or they can become too busy and distracting to the audience. Therefore, the additional notes can
contain the details that are not on the slide. Notes can be viewed two ways. They can be viewed in the Note pane in normal view, or the Notes
Page view (Bethel University, 2017). The Note pane works best if the user has only a few notes to type. These notes will not be visible to the
audience, but merely a reference for the presenter. Unfortunately, prior to my employee evaluation class, I was not aware of the Note pane or Notes
Page. During my class I worked from notes that I had hand–written. I have taught the class on three occasions only to discover during or after each one
that I would realize something I needed to address during the presentation. Therefore, I would just jot down a quick, sloppy hand–written note. Had I

The Slide Layout is a setup which contains placeholders which hold the body text, titles, bulleted lists, sounds, clip art, tables, graphics, and the theme

click on it to select it then press Delete command on your keyboard. You can use Insert Layout to add a new layout or you can rename a layout by

The Slide Library access can be accessed by anybody in your company whom you give permission to do so. Setting up a Slide Library saves

innovation can be found in the college. During the old days, the lecturers normally used OHP projector to teach. Compare to LCD projector, OHP was
without computer and it can be used itself with the transparency slides. Due to the computer price getting cheaper and people starting to had their
personal laptop, the used of power point presentation become more and more popular. Over the time, LCD projector had took over the OHP projector,
the lecturers have to transfer the teaching material from the transparency into power point presentation and start using computer to present their
teaching material. Then, the universities had installed the smart board in the computer lab and most of the classroom. Smart Board are the more
advanced version of LCD projector, with the new function of touch input from a finger, pen or other solid object. Each contact of the Smart board
interactive whiteboard is interpreted as a left–click from the mouse. This is certainly a technology innovation, when the LCD projector reaches the top
of the S shape curve, technology discontinuity happens and new technology the Smart Board was introduced. All this will

In the traditional education environments, the duty of the students is to adhere the education activities as a passive receiver and memorize the content
of the lesson (Surmeli 2007: 30). PowerPoint presentations create more powerful sensory alerts when compared with the traditional education materials
(blackboard, overhead projections, etc.)While giving the lessons with PowerPoint presentations, the content of the lesson stays the same, but the form
of transmitting the lesson to the student changes. The PowerPoint presentations which are prepared for lessons have the advantages such as having
strong colors, gradual building of text, simple animation of diagrams, facilities for simple editing and updating (Lowry 1999:19). Thus it can be
mentioned that the PowerPoint presentations provide significant time and force savings. As the popularity of the PowerPoint presentations increase,
the studies concerning the pedagogical results of the usage of this tool increase. The advantages of giving lessons with the PowerPoint presentations
could be generalized as follows in the light of the academic studies till now: * PowerPoint contributes to properly forming the course content and
giving lesson (Sugahara & Boland 2006: 392, Hlynka & Mason 1998: 47, Nouri & Shahid 2005: 55). * It simplifies taking notes
during the lesson (Cook 1998: 5, James et al 2006: 386) * Students think that following the lesson from

A Presentation On The Issue Of Children
On December 6th, 2014, I had the opportunity to give a PowerPoint presentation on the issue of "Children in the Fields" to the youth group (and a
few other members) of my local church in Wendell, NC. There was a total of about 20 people there, ranging from ages 13 to 30 years. As youth
president at my church, I was given the responsibility of looking for current events and/or issues to present to the youth, so that they can learn to
become informed citizens and learn the importance of volunteering and advocating for a specific cause. As a result of taking this course, which has
allowed me to be aware of the issues and injustices surrounding farmworkers, I decided to give a presentation on an issue that is very near and dear to
my heart–children in the fields–and because I considered that this topic would provoke the biggest emotional reactions from the audience. Overall, as I
was giving the presentation, I observed that the audience was actually shocked about the experiences that many children undergo due to the lack of
strict laws and/ or lack of law enforcement. Although not all of the listeners had children of their own, which would allow them to connect to the
injustices and suffering through their parental lens, many of them were young adolescents who were able to recall their own childhood and make
comparisons to the information that they were learning. As a result of my presentation, there are now 20 more people who are aware of one of the
most significant issues in

Reflection Paper On Powerpoint
Learning about PowerPoint has been very stimulating for me; unit five has taught me a lot. I love to use Microsoft PowerPoint, but until this unit, I
did not fully understand how to use all of the functions in Microsoft PowerPoint. I love the whole unit, so singling out three things will be hard for
me. I work as a Manager, and I am often preparing presentations. The three items in Microsoft PowerPoint that I know I will apply to my everyday life
are, Notes, Numbered list, and Charts. I think through the whole unit these features were the ones that made me say, ok I will use that for my
upcoming presentation. Below I will explain why I chose each one of these functions. First, I chose the Notes Function. The note section was a big
deal for me. I usually write my notes down in a notebook before my presentations. The problem I ran into was, I would always get lost. I tried
putting little symbols at the bottom of the page for talking points. The problem here was, I could never remember what the talking point was about
once I got to the symbol. When I tried Microsoft PowerPoint Notes, I found I was no longer fumbling between papers (Carlson, 2010). I loved it
because I just stood and clicked no more papers. The Notes function allows you to put information on the slides that you want to share that the
audience cannot see (Wiley & Sons Inc, 2014). Notes are now my new Favorite function of the week. Second, The Charts function is essential and
vitally important to my

say that 80% of success comes from communication skills and the rest 20% foes to technical expertise of a person. Most highly paid jobs are the
ones requiring effective communication. In the formal form of communication, MS PowerPoint enjoys highest portion of eminence. It has relieved
people from the hassle of memorizing each and every piece of information or giving handouts to the audience. It has also saved the received of

The Hiring Process
Introduction In the previous power point presentation I listed the step by step method that can be used by companies during the hiring process.
Also included in each step was a number at the bottom of each slide. This number represents the number for one of ten mistakes that were listed in
the paper by Taylor & Stern, (2009). In the following document I will attempt to explain my choices of why I chose the mistake that I did for each
step of the process of hiring a new employee. In the final half of this paper is I bring up any of the mistakes that Taylor & Stern, (2009), came up with
that I feel should not be considered a mistake.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mistake that I feel can be made when making the final decision on who to hire is choosing someone without knowing what motivates them
(Taylor & Stern, 2009). If they do not take this into consideration then it is possible that they have just hired someone that does not stay anywhere
very long. The final step in the process is offering the individual they have chosen the position they have applied for. In this final step I chose the
mistake of only hiring for that one position and not considering the possibility of letting others that you would have liked to offer the position to that
you will keep them on file and when a position comes open you will give them a call. The reason I chose this to be a mistake in the final step is
because it is at this time that they may have had to choose between several that would have been a good fit for the job. By letting these individuals
know that

Audience Analysis Paper The following paper will outline the characteristics of an audience that I would need to consider if I was presenting a
quarterly sales information meeting to a group of stakeholders, including managers, salespeople, and customers. I will discuss what communication
channels would be appropriate for this meeting and what are some of the considerations that I need to keep in mind given the diversity of the audience
attending the meeting. Then I will discuss how I would ensure that my message is effective to the group attending this meeting. To make an effective
presentation I would need to learn who my audience will be and what roles each group has with the company. The roles are the primary audience,...

I would welcome questions during the meeting. This would show me that the people at the meeting are actively participating and keep everyone
involved in the meeting. Keeping each person involved would help relax people and then have everyone talking after the meeting, building
relationships among the different groups. Effective communication is essential in any business role. Relaying information within a company has to be
effective, clear, and easy to understand to be successful. A good communicator has several reasonsfor being good. Ranging from knowing the
information they are presenting to having the confidence in their ability to speak in front of crowds. Good communicators understand the different
characteristics of their audience, the diversity each member has, the correct communication channel to use, they look for ways to ensure their messages
are effective and received.
Audience Analysis Paper Being able to effectively communicate with people is a necessity for any business. In a position of sales, communication takes
on an even greater importance because there is a constant interaction with other people that takes place where a salesman must be able to present the
fact and persuade people to buy into whatever they are selling.

comparing relevant theories principles and models of...
Comparing relevant theories, principles and models of reflective practice In this evaluation I will analyse and compare relevant theories, principles and
models of reflective practice and explain how they relate to my practice and development.
Reflective practice is an evolving concept. In the 1930s, John Dewey defined reflective thought as:
'Active, persistent, and careful consideration of any belief or supposed form of knowledge in the light of the grounds that support it and the further
conclusions to which it tends.'
He set out five phases or aspects through which we can see a process of reflection. However using phrases such as phase and stage does give a sense of
sequence, a set method and there seems to be no room for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This goes against the idea of reflection as a continual process, a way of life, and there was criticism of Boud et al from Cinnamond and Zimpher
(1990) when they argued that:
'They (Boud et al) constrain reflection by turning it into a mental activity that excludes both the behavioural element and dialogue with others involved
in the situation.' More and more I find myself reflecting as I'm teaching and adapting my teaching as the session progresses to meet the needs of
individuals who have brought their own view to the session and presented me with an additional way of looking at the subject matter or prompted me
to use an example which I had previously dismissed or forgotten about.
The work of Kolb (1984) has been influential for the majority of educators as he approaches reflection in a cyclical way as one that is ongoing and
constantly striving for improvement (see Diagram below).
This to me is a practical and usable model of reflection that can be applied to many aspects of our life experiences not solely education. An example of
how I have worked in this cyclical way and developed my ICT skills is my use of power point presentation within sessions. I began teaching using
pre–prepared power points that did add to my sessions but could still be quite dry at times. By researching ways in which to improve on this I have
progressed to adding animation, DVD

Reflection About Group Presentations
We all certainly have to do group presentations during our student life. This method of study is vital, as "it is a successful alternative or addition to the
traditional term paper. It can balance the student 's educational experiences by providing training in oral communication, interpersonal skills, and
analytical thinking." (King 1990, p.77). Therefore, it is necessary for us to reflect on what we have done and learnt through group presentations. In this
essay, I would have a look back at what I experienced and learnt from the BCM110 group assignment.
Our assignment was to work together and do research on a media issue that we studied in the lectures. After four weeks, we had to give a class
presentation on what we had researched. Our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, our main issue is "Groupthink". Groupthink is defined as "the pressure to conform within a group interfering with objective analysis of a
problem and causes poor group decision making." (Dwyer 2013, p.221). There was lack of discussion regarding new ideas in our team. No
contradictions were often made, and we always reached agreement very quickly because we all seemed want to avoid conflict. For instance, when a
member said Powerpoint was simple and time–saving than other presentation methods, we all quickly agreed to choose Powerpoint without no further
arguments. As a result, our presentation seemed quite boring compared with other groups who created a play. To avoid "Groupthink" , we can apply
the "brainstoriming" strategy to encourage creativity and diversity of ideas. We should write up all the ideas and generate possible solutions, eliminate
duplicate ideas to find the most effective solutions.
Regarding my individual performance, I was a responsible member and always actively listened to other members' ideas to give constructive feedback.
I focused on what other members said and encourage them to express their viewpoint. For example, when we discussed on fandoms, I wanted to talk
about Monsters – the fanclub of Lady Gaga while Teskana preferred the example of One Direction. However, I listened to the reasons Tes gave, and
finally agreed that One Direction

Instructions For Creating A Voice Narrated Powerpoint
Instructions on How to Create a Voice Narrated PowerPoint
Introduction
This report provides step–by–step instructions for eighth grade students on how to create a voice narrated PowerPoint with slides that advance
automatically for Windows users.
Creating a PowerPoint is a computer process in which the user uses the Microsoft Word PowerPoint feature to create apresentation.
Knowing how to create a PowerPoint presentation with slides that advance automatically and are voice narrated is a beneficial process to know as
a student. Creating PowerPoint presentations is a process students will go through throughout the course of their schooling, and they may possibly
use this process after schooling depending on their career. Using PowerPoint is helpful for both the presenter and the person viewing the
presentation. Presentations provide a way for people who are visual learners, or people who prefer viewing images and viewing words, as well as
audio learners, people who prefer hearing discussions, a more effective way to learn. According to Wendy Corbett, who is certified in designing
learning, "When you use both words and pictures, you are actively engaging both working and long–term memory" (Corbett, 2015, p.66). This means
that using learning or teaching tools that provide both discussion and a visual allows the viewers to actively use their memory, which will in turn aid in
the viewer remembering what the presentation was about. As a presenter, using PowerPoint

.
This course has afforded me the ability to improve my professional writing skills in the working field. The various writing assignments from the first
assignment of writing a memo to the final assignment of a nursing exemplar has been a challenge. The learnings of a variety of elements that go alone
with professional writing has heighten my knowledge and skills of writing. The remainder of this paper will give readers a view of what and how the
writing assignments assisted me with this skill.
The learning I received from memo writing assignment would be to assure they are short, direct and remain within inside the company; anything
longer than a page the reader loses interest. The assignment of composing a meeting agenda was one of my most pleasurable assignments, although
it carried some complicatedness for me. I have never been required to formulate a professional agenda in my career; so, therefore, it required a lot of
effort. In my opinion, the best element of the assignment was devising discussion question. Formulating these questions caused me to think critically
and bring about my creativity. I do feel the need to continue practicing this skill in view of the fact that I have never been required to draw one up,
and will possibly be experiencing this in the future. Therefore, I will continue to perfect this skill. With this assignment, I have learned how to create a
professional agenda and how to integrate nursing literature into a professional meeting. The job research journal was one of my best–learned
assignments. I thoroughly enjoyed the research portion, identifying each job mission and values and noting if they align with those of my own
values. This also allowed me to profoundly research the advantages and benefits of the top two jobs chosen. This assignment I will carry throughout
my career. For the resume and cover letter assignment, there wasn't much new information for me to learn as I was very familiar with the contents of
a resume and cover letter. However, with this being so, I will continue to remember the significance of a resume and will continue to utilize them
throughout my career. The mock interview and elevator speech will be very beneficial in my upcoming career; it will permit me

Evaluation Of A Powerpoint Video Essay
Introduction
The artifact I am reflecting on is a voice project, which is a PowerPoint video that I developed during the Health Education Methods and Materials
(HLED 558) course, that held on the Summer of 2015 semester at Eastern Michigan University. The PowerPoint video was made as a part of the
plan to advocate the EMU Tobacco Free Policy that went on effect July 1st, 2015. Also, it was made to market the STOP cessation program that
will be implemented later to help student quitting smoking. This PowerPoint is mainly a collecting of some pictures showing different places at
EMU campus in a very beautiful view. In addition, the PowerPoint also include the EMU free zone map moreover, the logo of the policy, and the
logo of STOP program that were designed by two of my class peers and the. The EMU website was used as a source for some picture. The idea of the
PowerPoint is based on showing the beauty of the EMU campus and making the connection of that to the EMU environment and student health
regarding tobacco free campus. That connection was made by adding some thoughtful words emphasizing the hidden meaning I want to show behind
those picture. Then delivering the message about the policy and the program, all that with a companion of music.

Impromptu Research Paper
Have you ever been tapped to make an impromptu group presentation with a half hour's notice?
When is the last time someone asked you for a "brief update" on the status of an upcoming project in "about an hour"?
Did you ever stand up in the heat of a membership meeting where negativity prevailed and asked members to consider a more positive stance on an
issue?
These scenarios require you to "think on your feet" – give an impromptu speech – if you do not want to embarrass yourself, and want to demonstrate
your knowledge and mental organization.
A well–prepared presentation is possible at the last minute. Be the envy of your organization and become the go–to person with the strong
communication skills by taking initiative and being willing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can apply the same mantra to impromptu presentations. Sear the basic structure of a presentation into your memory and volunteer to give speeches
on the spot. The more you practice giving impromptu presentations, the more comfortable you become doing so. Just as people trained to respond to
emergencies at a moment's notice, you will be able to respond with a solid presentation at a moment's notice.
Consider the following key points as well as how to best communicate the content that is necessary for the requested presentation.
Please With Threes
A lesson I teach early in my presentation skills workshops, and that I learned in school and in Toastmasters clubs, is to "please with threes". Otherwise
called the rule of threes, this means that you create a presentation using a speech structure that consists of three main components: an opening, a body,
and a closing. Manage these three major parts of a presentation and your speech will be organized every time.
Get Off on the Right Foot
Develop an attention–grabbing opening. On short notice, few people expect you to be witty or humorous. Typically, last–minute presenters are
expected to address a specific issue or concern. Implement the following techniques, however, and you just might come across as witty and instantly
engaging in spite of your last–minute

Educational Program Lecture For Adults Based On Classroom...
This is an observation report on an educational program lecture for adults based on classroom teacher performance. The lecture was delivered by a
very skillful teacher. The teacher effectively stimulated the class, by respecting the diversity of the learning environment, the diversity of the class,
stayed focused on the lecture, contexts and class objectives. The heart and soul of the lecture was the teacher's rapport with the students, delivery,
audio–visual, video, diversity and interaction between the teacher and students. The teacher realized that learning is dependent on the learner as an
individual, and how credible and authentic the teacher's lecturer is to the person. The teacher evoked the emotions and curiosity in the students to
'stretch' their minds using critical thinking, keeping them focused and engaged. The teacher demonstrated the golden rule, "Tell them what you're
going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you've told them," (Brookfield, 2015, p.80). The teacher introduced the objectives, explained the topic,
and recapped the lecture.

Feedback from the audience at the end of the presentation suggested the content level was appropriate. I used multiple sources of data (ILM Handouts

I ensured whilst I made my presentation that I spoke clearly and steadily. I have a tendency to talk quickly so I paid particular attention to controlling

What I Was Master When It?
For so many years I thought I was master when it comes to communication. Since I was young girl I wanted to become a lawyer because everyone
around me said that I knew how speak and persuade others. However, many people didn't know that I could be really confidant in front of one or
two people and get really nerves and enable to speak in front of others that I didn't know. I always argued with others and never gave them the chance
to speak and instead listening to them I often used to think about the respond. I came a long way from what I used to be when it comes to
communication and where am at today. It took many years of learning and reading. Through out the last two classes I learned many tools that helped
me to become better speaker and enhance my communication skills overall. The tope three skills that help the most were the prober way to use power
point and giving presentation, how to listen mindfully and express myself, the use of the six questions when writing a paper or giving a speech.
Growing up in Yemen public speech was not important or significant. We were never taught how to give speech or even use power point. Frist
time I learned how to create a power point or give speech was when I was in 10th grade after I came to United States. I remember using a power point
for the first time and giving a speech I just stood there and read of the power point through out the whole speech. I always got low grades for my

The Effects Of Powerpoints On Learning : Powerpoint
The Damaging Effects of PowerPoints on Learning PowerPoint is a computer–assisted presentation program sold by Microsoft. No other presentation
software product has ever come close to it in popularity (Hewett, 2008). Originally developed as a business tool designed to make corporate
presentations more exciting and snappy, it has since been adopted by lecturers in all fields and organizations. It has been estimated that 30 million
PowerPoint presentations are given each day (Frommer, 2012). For the most part, PowerPoint has been praised for its usefulness in presenting data
and images, but, in recent years, a small number of critics have raised issues regarding the harm it might be doing. They say that PowerPoint actually
interferes with learning by distracting audiences and overloading them with unnecessary and irrelevant information. A Brief History of PPTs
PowerPoint was developed by two University of California graduate students in 1984. It was originally intended for use in Apple's Macintosh
computers (History of PowerPoint, 2015), but in 1987, the start–up company they were working for at the time was acquired by Microsoft, and so their
product, which they called Presenter, became the property of Microsoft, which released it in 1990 as part of Windows 3.0 (Hewett, 2008). The

  • 6. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Different Methods Of, And... Analyse the advantages and limitations of different methods of, and media for, making presentations A variety of communication media can be considered when planning to produce a presentation, for example verbal communication and written communication, each type of communication media has its advantages and limitations. When developing my presentation I decided to use both verbal and written communication, although both communication methods were used I had to ensure that they were used in the correct quantities. To keep my presentation engaging I tried to use as much visual representation as possible limiting the amount of text per slide. I chose to use PowerPoint because of its combination of written and verbal communication (not to mention the cost effectiveness of choosing PowerPoint and simplistic interface); the written aspects included the text on the slides, screenshots and images. The screenshots proved particularly useful as they was of the actual database used in the daily running of the Apprenticeships Store, once paired with the demonstration of inputting data into the database it ensured greater understanding due to more practical learning as opposed to theoretical learning. More detail was provided in my handouts ensuring I didn't give too much information at once and this allowed the audience to document any supplementary information I said during the presentation, by speaking and interpreting what was on the slides ensured the presentation remained fluid and ... It also helps you keep track of your work allowing you to pick–up where you left of. This makes doing homework assignments a lot easier and faster when there is a large amount of problems. This makes organizing what needs to be done more effective. 4.I would use this in my BA251 class where we had to do a group PowerPoint presentation. I could see how you could even make a scrum board for separate parts of the project. This would be good to use because it would allow everyone to see how much a person has gotten done and how much still needs to be done. This would make that task simpler. Starting a Scrum Board on... • 8. PowerPoint: An Efficient Tool Essay PowerPoint is probably the most popular digital aid tool for presentations. It was created by the giant software developer Microsoft and presented to the world for the very first time in 2000 according to Microsoft's web page. On the article "PowerPoint: Killer App?" the author, Ruth Marcus, criticizes this application explaining the effects it is having on the way people makes and understands presentations these days, but she does not stay there with her critiques. She goes further and asserts that PowerPoint could be one of the causes of the Columbia space shuttle crash in 2003 saying that the rigid default format of the PowerPoint slides presented to the NASA senior managers the year of the accident made the situation look not as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since PowerPoint is being broadly used in all kinds of presentations especially in the educational and business industries, some of its most outstanding characteristics will be discussed on the following paragraphs. On the article "Toward a Better Understanding of PowerPoint Deck Design" by David Farkas, professor of the Department of Technical Communication at the University of Washington, he points out ten problems with the use and study of this application. Some of the most important problems will be addressed next: The first one he discusses is the relationship between PowerPoint and the organizational culture which deals with the fact that PowerPoint is not guilty of the bad organization of the users, in this case of NASA, where they are required to have the capacity of deciding when PowerPoint is a suitable mean of communication and when it is not. On his second point he classifies PowerPoint slide presentations in two categories, as performance support or for standalone use. He indicates that when the speaker is creating a PowerPoint presentation he/she must be aware of the purpose of the slides, asking himself if the slides will be distributed to the audience as a future reference and therefore should contain information that can be understood later, or if they will work just as a support during the presentation and future references will be provided in a separated document. • 9. My Research on Abortion 1.What did you learn about doing research? While conducting my research on abortion, I learned that there were different types of medical procedures that abortionist utilized when aborting an embryo and fetus. However, I was familiar with what an abortion is, but never imagined the grotesque, inhumane, and heinous techniques used to abort a human being even at the late stages of pregnancy. After watching numerous online videos of these procedures, I feel it is morally wrong to have an abortion because there are thousands of women that cannot have children and have exhausted all the possible ways to do so. In conclusion, completing this project and viewing these graphical pictures has given me a clearer understand what the process entailed and how it was implemented. 2.How did you do your research? I researched this topic by viewing journal articles in the Baker College Database from the library. I looked for books on the subject of Abortion to get a better sense what the procedure entailed and how it was conducted. I also utilized the internet to look for pictures and statistics on Abortion. I finished the research project by looking for client testimonies on their experience with the procedure and their well–being prior and after having it completed. 3.Did you learn how to do research in a new way? The rationale for using teams is that there are inherent synergies, such that the team is greater than the sum of its parts. Teams allow both functional specialisation and collaborative interaction. Organisations should seek to form the most effective teams from their employees Australian workplaces are amongst the most diverse in the world. Many generations of immigration have created a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. The workforce is aging. There are more females employed and more employees come from non English speaking backgrounds. At the time of the class, I felt confident but I was a little nervous and it was harder to express my ideas in English but I manage to overcome that. I was able to explain everything but I was a little disappointed that I could not meet my time goal. After that, I ask them some questions to see if they have understood the topic. It was interesting because I could feel somehow the feeling of the teacher when nobody participates in the class. At the beginning, everyone was quiet but after a while, they start participating. Which is which – the traditional Microsoft PowerPoint or the newer Prezi? The MPP has been the standard tool for many users which has commanded most familiarization requirements in all organizational structures. The concept of Prezi on visual aids is a flash–based application allowing the user to create a presentation using a large, blank page instead of the much familiar traditional slides. The finished process results are considered by Bird as more appealing to the presentation audience as they are immersed in a kind of visual journey, as in the zooming out and in on the presentation details which are far in contrast to PowerPoint's use of strictly steady slides. PowerPoint is fast becoming a trademark for "boring" as users are unable to harness it for effective presentation design, but a considerable number of advanced users declare that PowerPoint allows more high–end animation or a significant range of smooth and practical on–slide animation than Prezi. Notes can be added to the slide so the presenter can elaborate to the audience any additional information that goes with the slide. However, the notes do not fit on the slides (Bethel University, 2017). Slides only allow minimal information to fit on each one or they can become too busy and distracting to the audience. Therefore, the additional notes can contain the details that are not on the slide. Notes can be viewed two ways. They can be viewed in the Note pane in normal view, or the Notes Page view (Bethel University, 2017). The Note pane works best if the user has only a few notes to type. The three items in Microsoft PowerPoint that I know I will apply to my everyday life are, Notes, Numbered list, and Charts. I think through the whole unit these features were the ones that made me say, ok I will use that for my upcoming presentation. Below I will explain why I chose each one of these functions. When I tried Microsoft PowerPoint Notes, I found I was no longer fumbling between papers (Carlson, 2010). I loved it because I just stood and clicked no more papers. This method of study is vital, as "it is a successful alternative or addition to the traditional term paper. It can balance the student 's educational experiences by providing training in oral communication, interpersonal skills, and analytical thinking." (King 1990, p.77). Therefore, it is necessary for us to reflect on what we have done and learnt through group presentations. In this essay, I would have a look back at what I experienced and learnt from the BCM110 group assignment. Our assignment was to work together and do research on a media issue that we studied in the lectures. After four weeks, we had to give a class presentation on what we had researched. Our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, our main issue is "Groupthink". Groupthink is defined as "the pressure to conform within a group interfering with objective analysis of a problem and causes poor group decision making." (Dwyer 2013, p.221). There was lack of discussion regarding new ideas in our team. No contradictions were often made, and we always reached agreement very quickly because we all seemed want to avoid conflict. For instance, when a member said Powerpoint was simple and time–saving than other presentation methods, we all quickly agreed to choose Powerpoint without no further arguments. As a result, our presentation seemed quite boring compared with other groups who created a play. To avoid "Groupthink" , we can apply the "brainstoriming" strategy to encourage creativity and diversity of ideas. We should write up all the ideas and generate possible solutions, eliminate duplicate ideas to find the most effective solutions. Regarding my individual performance, I was a responsible member and always actively listened to other members' ideas to give constructive feedback. I focused on what other members said and encourage them to express their viewpoint. For example, when we discussed on fandoms, I wanted to talk about Monsters – the fanclub of Lady Gaga while Teskana preferred the example of One Direction. However, I listened to the reasons Tes gave, and finally agreed that One Direction ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Creating a PowerPoint is a computer process in which the user uses the Microsoft Word PowerPoint feature to create apresentation. Knowing how to create a PowerPoint presentation with slides that advance automatically and are voice narrated is a beneficial process to know as a student. Creating PowerPoint presentations is a process students will go through throughout the course of their schooling, and they may possibly use this process after schooling depending on their career. Presentations provide a way for people who are visual learners, or people who prefer viewing images and viewing words, as well as audio learners, people who prefer hearing discussions, a more effective way to learn. According to Wendy Corbett, who is certified in designing learning, "When you use both words and pictures, you are actively engaging both working and long–term memory" (Corbett, 2015, p.66). • 38. Professional Writing Reflection . This course has afforded me the ability to improve my professional writing skills in the working field. The various writing assignments from the first assignment of writing a memo to the final assignment of a nursing exemplar has been a challenge. The learnings of a variety of elements that go alone with professional writing has heighten my knowledge and skills of writing. The remainder of this paper will give readers a view of what and how the writing assignments assisted me with this skill. The learning I received from memo writing assignment would be to assure they are short, direct and remain within inside the company; anything longer than a page the reader loses interest. The assignment of composing a meeting agenda was one of my most pleasurable assignments, although it carried some complicatedness for me. I have never been required to formulate a professional agenda in my career; so, therefore, it required a lot of effort. In my opinion, the best element of the assignment was devising discussion question. Formulating these questions caused me to think critically and bring about my creativity. I do feel the need to continue practicing this skill in view of the fact that I have never been required to draw one up, and will possibly be experiencing this in the future. Therefore, I will continue to perfect this skill. With this assignment, I have learned how to create a professional agenda and how to integrate nursing literature into a professional meeting. The job research journal was one of my best–learned assignments. I thoroughly enjoyed the research portion, identifying each job mission and values and noting if they align with those of my own values. This also allowed me to profoundly research the advantages and benefits of the top two jobs chosen. This assignment I will carry throughout my career. For the resume and cover letter assignment, there wasn't much new information for me to learn as I was very familiar with the contents of a resume and cover letter. However, with this being so, I will continue to remember the significance of a resume and will continue to utilize them throughout my career. • 39. Evaluation Of A Powerpoint Video Essay Introduction The artifact I am reflecting on is a voice project, which is a PowerPoint video that I developed during the Health Education Methods and Materials (HLED 558) course, that held on the Summer of 2015 semester at Eastern Michigan University. The PowerPoint video was made as a part of the plan to advocate the EMU Tobacco Free Policy that went on effect July 1st, 2015. Also, it was made to market the STOP cessation program that will be implemented later to help student quitting smoking. This PowerPoint is mainly a collecting of some pictures showing different places at EMU campus in a very beautiful view. In addition, the PowerPoint also include the EMU free zone map moreover, the logo of the policy, and the logo of STOP program that were designed by two of my class peers and the. The EMU website was used as a source for some picture. The idea of the PowerPoint is based on showing the beauty of the EMU campus and making the connection of that to the EMU environment and student health regarding tobacco free campus. That connection was made by adding some thoughtful words emphasizing the hidden meaning I want to show behind those picture. Then delivering the message about the policy and the program, all that with a companion of music. Competencies Demonstration This experience allows me to demonstrate many competencies NCHEC Health Education Competencies. • 42. Impromptu Research Paper Have you ever been tapped to make an impromptu group presentation with a half hour's notice? When is the last time someone asked you for a "brief update" on the status of an upcoming project in "about an hour"? Did you ever stand up in the heat of a membership meeting where negativity prevailed and asked members to consider a more positive stance on an issue? These scenarios require you to "think on your feet" – give an impromptu speech – if you do not want to embarrass yourself, and want to demonstrate your knowledge and mental organization. A well–prepared presentation is possible at the last minute. Be the envy of your organization and become the go–to person with the strong communication skills by taking initiative and being willing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You can apply the same mantra to impromptu presentations. Sear the basic structure of a presentation into your memory and volunteer to give speeches on the spot. The more you practice giving impromptu presentations, the more comfortable you become doing so. Just as people trained to respond to emergencies at a moment's notice, you will be able to respond with a solid presentation at a moment's notice. Consider the following key points as well as how to best communicate the content that is necessary for the requested presentation. Please With Threes A lesson I teach early in my presentation skills workshops, and that I learned in school and in Toastmasters clubs, is to "please with threes". Otherwise called the rule of threes, this means that you create a presentation using a speech structure that consists of three main components: an opening, a body, and a closing. Manage these three major parts of a presentation and your speech will be organized every time. Get Off on the Right Foot Develop an attention–grabbing opening. On short notice, few people expect you to be witty or humorous. Typically, last–minute presenters are expected to address a specific issue or concern. Implement the following techniques, however, and you just might come across as witty and instantly

  • 44. Educational Program Lecture For Adults Based On Classroom... This is an observation report on an educational program lecture for adults based on classroom teacher performance. The lecture was delivered by a very skillful teacher. The teacher effectively stimulated the class, by respecting the diversity of the learning environment, the diversity of the class, stayed focused on the lecture, contexts and class objectives. The heart and soul of the lecture was the teacher's rapport with the students, delivery, audio–visual, video, diversity and interaction between the teacher and students. The teacher realized that learning is dependent on the learner as an individual, and how credible and authentic the teacher's lecturer is to the person. The teacher evoked the emotions and curiosity in the students to 'stretch' their minds using critical thinking, keeping them focused and engaged. The teacher demonstrated the golden rule, "Tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you've told them," (Brookfield, 2015, p.80). The teacher introduced the objectives, explained the topic, and recapped the lecture. Keywords: teacher, lecture, rapport, audio–visual, classroom environment, respect, interaction OBSERVATIONOF AN EDUCATIONPROGRAM Before I observed the teacher's Classical Mythology class, I looked up information about Classical Mythology and demigods during that century. • 47. What I Was Master When It? For so many years I thought I was master when it comes to communication. Since I was young girl I wanted to become a lawyer because everyone around me said that I knew how speak and persuade others. However, many people didn't know that I could be really confidant in front of one or two people and get really nerves and enable to speak in front of others that I didn't know. I always argued with others and never gave them the chance to speak and instead listening to them I often used to think about the respond. I came a long way from what I used to be when it comes to communication and where am at today. It took many years of learning and reading. Through out the last two classes I learned many tools that helped me to become better speaker and enhance my communication skills overall. The tope three skills that help the most were the prober way to use power point and giving presentation, how to listen mindfully and express myself, the use of the six questions when writing a paper or giving a speech. Growing up in Yemen public speech was not important or significant. We were never taught how to give speech or even use power point. Frist time I learned how to create a power point or give speech was when I was in 10th grade after I came to United States. I remember using a power point for the first time and giving a speech I just stood there and read of the power point through out the whole speech. • 48. The Effects Of Powerpoints On Learning : Powerpoint The Damaging Effects of PowerPoints on Learning PowerPoint is a computer–assisted presentation program sold by Microsoft. No other presentation software product has ever come close to it in popularity (Hewett, 2008). Originally developed as a business tool designed to make corporate presentations more exciting and snappy, it has since been adopted by lecturers in all fields and organizations. It has been estimated that 30 million PowerPoint presentations are given each day (Frommer, 2012). For the most part, PowerPoint has been praised for its usefulness in presenting data and images, but, in recent years, a small number of critics have raised issues regarding the harm it might be doing. They say that PowerPoint actually interferes with learning by distracting audiences and overloading them with unnecessary and irrelevant information. A Brief History of PPTs PowerPoint was developed by two University of California graduate students in 1984. It was originally intended for use in Apple's Macintosh computers (History of PowerPoint, 2015), but in 1987, the start–up company they were working for at the time was acquired by Microsoft, and so their product, which they called Presenter, became the property of Microsoft, which released it in 1990 as part of Windows 3.0 (Hewett, 2008). The Research There is a growing body of evidence that PPT's do not improve learning. Szabo and Hastings (2000) presented the same lecture to two groups of students. The first ...
