Formal specification
I will have to consider the client needs as they are in charge of what is being produced and the client
will have to be informed about any changes or downfalls that the project may encounter. The
audience will have to be considered as I will have to consider the age rating of the advert and
whether it suits the target audience and seen as the product is a fizzy drink then the target audience
will be of a younger age so this will have to be took into consideration as there can’t be any rude or
offensive footage. I will have to produce a script so that any actors any directors will know what’s
going on, when and where the shots are being filmed. The story board will have to be produced so
that you can get an idea of what is happening in the advert do that you can make sure that some
shots are not too short or too long so that you can include all the shots that you require.
Next, I will have technical considerations such as the platform that the filming is shot on i.e. the
camera and to make sure that the format is compatible with any software that I will use to edit the
movie. I will have to consider the file format and whether it can be played on a YouTube video. Also I
will have to consider the file size so that it has to have a good enough quality so that it can be
viewed and it has to be small enough to buffer quick enough so that when the video is viewed on
YouTube videos. I may have to compress the video as when it is being edited it will be considerably a
very large file size thus making it taking a long time to load so it will have to compressed in such a
way that the quality isn’t that badly affected and that it takes the reasonable lest amount of time to
load. I will have to consider the media player as it will have to be compatible with the YouTube
player so that it can be uploaded to the YouTube videos as if it isn’t right then the advert will not
play on YouTube.
