Picture 1:
Four people in the kitchen
late 1890's-1900's
The women in the kitchen are cooking in the kitchen for the men
The male is getting food from the women in the kitchen
The history shows the progression of women
Picture 2:
Hitler greeting a little boy, his mom, his grandma
1930's- 1950's
The mom and grandma are sitting on the benches inside somewhere
This picture is showing how Hitler can be nice because Hitler has always been portrayed
as evil and this shows a different side of him
Picture 3:
This is the picture with cops and townspeople
The dogs in this photo are attacking the African Americas
This leads me to believe this was a time of segregation which was during the 1950's-
1960's
This photo gives us a semi-representation of what the African American's had to go
through during that time
Picture 4:
This was in New York City
The man in this photo had hung himself from the Statue of Liberty
The male was African American
I believe this photo shows how Americans haven't always been free
It shows how far we have comes as a society since the time of segregation (1950-1960's)
Picture 5:
The photo is of an immigrant family staring at the Statue of Liberty
Taken in New York City
I believe they are trying to show us that even though one isn't from the United States
doesn't mean that they can’t be free
2. Maybe 1930's-1940's based on attire
It shows importance because American's in this society view immigrants as awful people
or terrorist just based off of one tragedy that we have all faced. It shows that they can be
like us in the sense of freedom. We are all equal but not viewed the same and it is sad.
Picture 6:
I believe this is a Concentration Camp
The guards are checking the inmates eyes because back during the Holocaust if you were
Jewish, but had blonde hair and blue eyes you were kept alive regardless what you
believed.
1930's-1950's that is the time of the Holocaust
During the day because you can see the light shining through the window
This image shows the struggle that the Jewish people had to face during this time period
