Why?
When taking my photos, I will make
sure that they are all taken during
the day, and they will most likely be
taken during the week if they are at
school especially. If I take any of my
photos outside then it will have to
be nice weather in order to get a
good picture and I can’t take my
photographs if it is raining.

The photos used for the front cover
will be mid-close ups in order to
focus in on their face for the
audience to get a clear view of who
it is. For the DPS, it will be a full
body photo in order to enable the
reader to see the person’s full outfit.
For most photographs, I will have
high key lighting to get a clear
picture, however, I may decide to
use low key lighting if I want to use
an all black DPS for the person. I am
planning to edit all the photographs
that I take in Photoshop so that I can
get good quality pictures and I can
also make sure that they are nicely
touched up and suitable for a
magazine. The clothes that the girl
model will wear are black and white
I will need some equipment for my
photographs when I take them:
- iPhone (to take photographs)
- Props (guitar, potentially
speakers?)
- Lighting (in photography studio)

and quite formal yet casual at the
same time, they will be items that
readers of the magazine could buy
themselves. The clothes that the boy
model will wear are plain colours
that are casual and simple, which
again, readers will easily be able to
buy or replicate themselves. I am
planning on using young people as
my models aged about 16-17 which
would appeal to a teen/young adult
audience which I am targeting my
magazine at.

need the permission of the models
to take photos of them and I will
need permission from teachers in
my school to potentially use their
equipment and classrooms such as
the photography studio.

Why?
I need to be aware of people around
me when I am taking photos so that
no one is harmed and I need to
make sure that the models and
myself are kept safe. In certain
rooms/buildings, there may be
loose wires so I need to be aware of
these hazards and be clear of them
when I am taking photographs.
