Time
Date
Why?
The time had to be a 12:35 as
the model John Allen and I both
had time to spend doing the
photoshoot. Also, it was mid day
so that’s when there would have
been most light outside.
For the Double page spread we did this in the
morning as this is when we both had time and
more importantly there was no one else at
school in the room so we could spend lots of
time getting the right photo.
We arranged to do the shoot on
the 9th of January as it was a day
when we both shared free
periods.

Why?
I wanted to look at john straight
on to give a more immersive
look to the photo. John had to
look straight into to the camera
and to smile.
For the double page photo I
wanted john to wear a nicely
designed t-shirt to wear as that
would be what a DJ would wear
and audience members would
also wear.
The lighting was good but not profesional as
there were bright lights on the ceiling which
made the photo brighter but they I wasn’t able to
move them and john had to move to see where
the best lighting was.
I chose john as he reminded me
of someone who listens to dance
and clubbing music as he has
long hair and wears similar
clothing.
Permission Needed
Contact needed to be
made
Evidence of this?
As I did the photoshoot in school
I had to ask permission from the
Head Teacher Mr Mitchell. I did
this by sending him an email
asking for his permission which
he replied to agreeing that it was
ok.

Potential Hazards/Risks
Location specific
Why?
Flash – Before taking the photos
I must be careful that I inform
them that there might be some
flashes while the photos are
being taken to get better
lighting. These could not only
hurt the eyes of the model if
they aren’t expecting a flash but
also the model may have
epilepsy and an flash could
cause some serious health
problems.
Tables and Chairs – As I was taking pictures in a
study room there were a lot of table and chairs
which could have been a tripping hazard, so I
was able to move a table and desk so john could
stand without having anything in his way.
