5. risk assessment
potential risk: how this will be avoided:
- Since my room is very small, there is a chance I
could accidently knocking over the camera or the
props.
- To prevent this from happening, I will move the
backdrop I am planning on using as far back as I
possibly can. As well as this I will tape a line across
the floor where I cant cross to stop myself from
getting to close to the camera.
- One of my props includes using candles,
which if I use incorrectly, can cause fires.
- To stop this from happening, I will make sure
anything flammable is kept away from the flame
while the image is being taken. As well as this, I will
blow out the candle as soon as the image has been
taken.
- An idea I have includes burning a
piece of paper, which could be
incredibly dangerous if done wrong
- I will burn the paper in a non-flammable container.
Also, while burning the paper, I will keep any
flammable objects far away and keep a bottle of
water close if the flame becomes uncontrollable.
home
6. risk assessment
potential issue: how this will be avoided:
- The SD card I use could be
locked or faulty
- If the SD card is locked, I will use the
camera to unlock it and if it is just
faulty, I will buy a new one for my own
personal use
- While shooting in the
college studio, I could
accidentally trip over the
studio light’s wires
- To stop this from happening, I will be
more cautious of the wires in the floor
when moving around the studio
7. facilities
I will need to edit my images, so I will need a editing software. The one I've chosen is
Adobe Photoshop. This is a software I've become familiar with and is a software I feel I can
use to create a good final image. I don’t think i will need any other editing software as i
don’t want to over edit my images as i don't want the editing to take away from the
message of my FMP.
18. equipment
What do you need? How will you get it?
- DSLR camera - I will either rent a camera from college or buy a
camera myself. To rent a camera, I will request to
book one through the equipment booking document.
- Tripod - I will rent one from college. To do this, I will request
one through the equipment booking Google
document.
- Backdrop
- I am going to use a bedsheet as my backdrop as it,
for one, is white which is the colour I need, and two,
the texture is similar to my idea of what I want my
images to look like.
19. equipment
What do you need? Why do you need it?
DSLR camera Because it’s the only camera I have available to me.
Also I have the most experience with DSLRs.
Tripod
Using a tripod will, overall, make the process of taking the
pictures easier. This is because a tripod will give the camera
more stable height which I need for the images I am taking,
as well, it will help me keep better control of the level and
angle of the camera.
Backdrop
The reason I need a backdrop for my setup in my bedroom
is because my bedroom doesn’t fit what I want my images
to look like; the walls are green and there is clutter
everywhere, which is the complete opposite of my idea of
the final product.
20. costumes
I don’t want my clothes to distract the audience
from the message of my project, so they will be
very simple. Colour wise, I want my clothes to
be bright and neutral so that it matches the
theme of my images. The reason why I want the
theme to be natural is because contradicts what
an eating disorder can feel like.

Bedroom
The reason why I
have placed the
camera in front of
the window is
because that
where the most
natural light comes
from in my room. If
I were to place the
camera anywhere
else, it would
cause the images
to come out very
dark as well as
images many
unnecessary
shadows would be
created.

backdrop
I found this lighting
setup while
experimenting with
lighting. I found it
made the lighting look
less overexposed.
26. exhibition
Something I would like to do with my final project is to
display it like an exhibition. I feel this would make the final
piece look more put-together. One place I have thought
about doing this is in the College’s gallery. I have spoken to
my tutor and there is a possibility that this could be
possible. However, if this cant go ahead, I will do a mock-
up of how the final project would look if it were to be
exhibited.
I would want the images to be hanging and the descriptions
be attached by red string.
I would also want a playlist of the music that has helped me
play in the background quietly while people read and view
my images.

This would be

27. budget
What? How much? Image Number Intended use
Temporary tattoos £4.99 3 To place on myself
Cake Free due to having
ingredients at home
1 To hold
Magazines £5 2 To stack on myself
28. Personnel
CREW: in terms of crew, I don’t anyone else to help with things such as moving the
camera, controlling lighting. This is because I will be taking still images so I will just use a
tripod and I will be using natural lighting for half of my images. With the other half (the
images I will be taking in the college studio,) I can control the lighting myself as I have
experience with using them due to previous projects. The only person I will need is myself.
Strength wise, I know how to use a DSLR camera (the type of camera I will be using) and
lighting, which are elements I need to know to take a successful image. Something I wont
need to worry about is the availability of others as I am the only person needed for my
project which is beneficial as that other people wont let me down. Something that I would
personally call a weakness is I could, possibly, become overwhelmed by the amount of work
I have. This is only a possibility, however, if that were to become the case, I would break
down what I need to do, one step at a time to help me get through the project
29. Personnel
CAST: like I’ve said before, I am the only person needed for the project.
There is one image, number ten, that could possibly need other people as
I contains other hands. My plan is to edit my own hands onto myself; this
could be too difficult for me as I haven't attempted this kind of editing
before. If this potential issue becomes a reality, I will ask my friends who
are available at the time of taking the image to help me out. It would only
be for a short period of time so I wouldn’t need to feed them or transport
them as they will all already be in college, which is where image ten will
be taken.
