Premillennialist Belief In Rapture
The fact that there exist various narratives concerning the topic of apocalypse invites the notion that
there is a great number of people desiring the end of the world. Why would somebody be desirous of
terminating the world's existence? Despite the fact that the end of the world has a dark, uncanny,
irredeemably, and desperate tone to it, one has to consider its consequences. Therefore, the
evangelical protestantism belief in the rapture offers a solution to the otherwise unsatisfactory or
even nonexistent future. Dispensational premillennialists think of themselves as being designated to
spread the idea of rapture; which conveys that Christ will come to earth in order to take the true
believers to heaven. True believers are worthy of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The rapture in this case is a synonym for escape; an escape from a world true believers are
undeservingly trapped in. The question that emerges while analyzing rapture is whether true
believers are utterly freed from desires in heaven. Humans are determined to desire something and
therefore it appears unlikely that after being taken to heaven, these desires completely vanish.
Another reason for apocalyptic desire in terms of the rapture is hope for a better life. People that feel
incomplete, that cannot bear competition, that are harrassed or even people that are alone may desire
to be taken away from a miserable place. God's existence and his presence in heaven would save
them. Faith and hope motivate discontented people to cope with everyday life. Furthermore
Crawford Gribben explains that: "[...] dispensational premillennialism appealed to those
evangelicals dissatisfied with the theological prevarications of mainstream Protestantism, as well as
those, [...], whose disappointment with the possibilities of mission work was both a cause and a
consequence of their increasingly pessimistic millennial point of view." (Gribben 5) The irony of his
statement nevertheless is that in terms of a pessimistic millennial point of

Advantages Of Dispensationalism
1. Dispensationalism – A Legitimate Theological System
Dispensationalism is a word that most theologians would sneer at because it is seen as a perversion
of the Scriptures. These theologians would not recognize the history of dispensationalism purely
because it would be seen as a relatively new system of interpreting Scripture. Dispensational
theology receives a lot of criticism because it is not properly understood.
Dispensationalism is mainly conservative in biblical interpretation and while there seems to be a
negative connotation to the word 'Evangelical'; those who subscribe to a dispensational view point
are evangelical Christians in a sense.

These differences can be as simple as the difference between the Old and New Testament.
Dispensationalism depends primarily on "Rightly dividing the Word" as found in 2 Timothy 2:15.
Other distinctions could be the difference between the nation of Israel and the Body of Christ. This
means assessing the Scriptures just like any other piece of literature and to place the text within their
primary meaning and context. Too often with many theologians, verses are quoted out of context.
One could probably draw a conclusion that Christ was a

The Holy Bible: The So-Called Christian, The Rapture
The "Holy Bible" is God's word in print, so it's simply infallibly! Why? Do I really have to give you
a reason...!? How about, because God inspired it and made it come to life or created it, for us. As our
guide to living the correct way and the better way, for as without it's knowledge and teachings, we're
doomed. Man's incapable of living in peace. Many don't seem to realise, that we're presently
"running towards world war 3" and soon knowledge will be increased, but lots of misery & suffering
will be had beforehand, in this terrible pathetic sinful world. The so–called Christian, the Rapture
people & the gentiles; will all suffer the wrath of man's cruel rule; cities will be ablaze, counties will
be captured into slavery... Why will God allow it? Because we have forsaken him and his teachings,
after he's given us everything. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How many times must I repeat it, that God has nothing to do with manmade organisations on this
planet unless it is of God's assembly (rare). God said there would be false religions deceivers and
liars all through the Bible and Jesus never stopped repeating it! God has NO PART in worlds
religions!!!! Hope you get it clearly through your mind, this damn time!? That is why I talk about
the Holy Bible, because religions of this world is a farce to God of the Bible, plain&simple! Most

The Prediction and Credibility of Harold Camping Essay
Not many people know who Harold Camping is just by hearing his name. However, people do know
what he did without the name. Camping shows why credibility is important and how his actions
affect it. He has given us this lesson of credibility by predicting something that would change the
world and it did not happen. He tried to blame it on a mathematical error and other mistakes. He
asked for forgiveness and due to his actions lost a lot of credibility. He later suffered from a stroke
and died at 92 (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead at 92). Here is the timeline of his lifetime events
leading up to the fail predictions.
Harold Camping was born on July 19, 1921 in Boulder Colorado. He was one of five brothers raised
by Dutch immigrants who were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So he then started teaching on the air about the end of the world (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead
at 92). He was very well known so he had a group of several million people around the world who
supported him. However he did in the later 1980's began to preach/teach that churches were straying
away from the Bible (Clark). Since he started down this road he lost a lot of support but nothing
compared to what was coming in 2011 and 2012.
His first widely known prediction was that on May 21, 2011 the would would come to an end. He
convinced thousands of followers that Jesus Christ would return on that day (Clark). He preached
that about 200 million people would be saved and those who are left behind would eventually
witness the Earth, be consumed by a fireball on October 21, later the same year. People gave
everything they had away, drained their bank accounts and took long journeys to be with family
members. Keith Baur, drove 3,000 miles in his mini van so he could be in California for the rapture.
He said, "I have some skepticism but I was trying to push the skepticism away because I believe in
God" (Burke). Millions of dollars were given in donations to advertising the end of the world, 5,000
billboards were plastered with the message and 20 RV's as well (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead
at 92). Some people took drastic actions in order to avoid the event that was to come. A mother in

Tribulation Paper
Sanctification does not happen without a deep motivation and drive from an outside source. There
are several areas in a Christian's life that can provide that motivation, for instance, Bible reading, the
Holy Spirit, and prayer. All of these are a great means of motivation but perhaps the greatest
motivation is the anticipation of the Lords return. The Bible is very clear that the rapture is coming,
and that Christ will return for his bridegroom. However, the Bible is less clear on when the church
will be raptured in relation to the tribulation period. There are a couple different thoughts on when
the rapture will happen, two of the most common are pretribulation and posttribulation. This paper is
looking to define the pretribulation view while taking a deeper look at the strengths and weaknesses
this view has to offer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the church was not removed before the tribulation, Christ would be focusing on Judgment for two
different groups of his children (Beware 220). A verse that helps support the distinction between
Israel and the church is Jeremiah 30:7, "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even
the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it." The reference to "Jacob's trouble" is a
clear indication that this period of wrath is not intended for the church but for Jacobs decedents. On
another note, one of the distinct differences between pretribulation and the other views considering
the time of the rapture is a literal method of interpretation. The pretribulation view holds to a literal
interpretation of the book of Revelation. Those who believe in posttribulation will interpret
eschatology through spiritualization or treat it historically. Pretribulation is the only view that
consistently receives information through a literal interpretation of scripture (Pentecost

Pre-Trib Rapture Essay
As already stated, this book is not a theological treatise so I will keep explanations of theological
terms pithy and let the reader do their own investigation.
In the fourth chapter of Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians, he expounds on The Rapture of The
Church, (1 Thess. 4:16–17) an event where Christ comes to take His bride, the church, to heaven in
the twinkling of an eye (an instant). Suddenly, without warning, all Christians either living, or who
have died in the Lord, will be bodily resurrected. Members of Christ's church will receive their
glorified "heavenly" bodies, similar to Christ's resurrection body. Many, including myself, believe
this event will take place before the seven–year Tribulation Period when The Antichrist rules the
world, and God's judgment rains down on the earth. This Rapture view is called, "Pre–Trib Rapture"
(takes place "before" The Tribulation). Some Christians interpret the timing The Rapture to take
place half way or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pleas for a roll call vote fell on deaf ears as the presider just walked off the stage – bizarre. During
Ted Cruz's convention speech, more chaos ensued. He was booed by the crowd who yelled,
"Endorse Trump! Endorse Trump!". Heidi Cruz, intimidated by the crowd, covered her head while
being escorted out of the convention by the secret service. Post–convention was chaotic for Donald
Trump as well. Rumors abound of him quitting the race, party intervention and even propping up
Mike Pence as the presidential nominee. Weeks prior the General Election, Trump's battle cry was,
"The system is rigged!" I told my wife back in April that if the word apostasy truly means
defection/uprising, it will involve both parties. Never in the history of American politics, have we

Christian Eschatology
Eschatology is defined as a branch of theology that outlines the final events of the world and of
mankind. It is also the study of the ultimate purpose of the world and God's intentions. In
Christianity, eschatology is often viewed as a forbidden subject in the study of theology. On the
other hand, some regard eschatology as the most influential part of their religious life because they it
determines the way in which they live their lives. These people live by a set of rules and ethics set
by the Bible because they want to have the favorable experience after death that was outlined in the
Christian Eschatology. In Christianity, death is thought to be the point at which the soul leaves its
earthly body and the soul is at rest until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the contrary, this view stems from looking at the punishment from the standpoint of human
justice systems. This is not a valid way to view hell as a punishment because God determined what
acts deserved what punish meant a great number of years before the creation of any human justice
systems. Although you must "die" an earthly to be sent to Hell, you are not "dead" while in Hell
because you can not be tormented if you are dead. The unsaved will have everlasting consciousness
which enables them to suffer the torment. There is a difference between individual eschatology and
general eschatology but this does not imply that there are two different eschatologies. Individual
eschatology is the destiny of each person while general eschatology is the destiny of humankind as a
whole. General eschatology is the fate of the Church as a whole and deals with the end of the world
and the conclusion of history. Individual eschatology is thought to include death and what happens
to individuals between the time of death and the eternal state. On the other hand, general
eschatology considers the final judgment, return of Christ and heaven and hell generally. According
to Karl Rahner, they influence each other and make up a single reality. The death and resurrection of
Christ plays a major role in Christian

Summary Of Ninah's The Rapture Of Canaan
In The Rapture of Canaan, Ninah lives in an isolated community ruled by a religion that is governed
by her Grandfathers opinion on what the bible says. Grandpa Herman "had a habit of altering the
[Bible] verses to make them match his beliefs" (Reynolds 14). Herman decides the way everyone
dresses, speaks, acts, and even worships. He writes ludicrous laws that contain punishments such as
sleeping in a cemetery grave for being unholy. Not only is Ninah smothered by her Grandfathers
laws, she finds herself with less freedom than the males of the community. The men treat them as if
the women were beneath them. Ninah tells the reader of the time her uncle "made a motion to his
chest as if to say [that girl's] got big breasts" at dinner time, "and how the men laughed while the
women pretended not to notice" (Reynolds 86). She's not impressed with the way men are allowed
to say whatever they want while women have to bite their tongues. Ninah is immersed in a culture
where men are superior to women and she is always reminded of how this is true. As well as being
suppressed, the women in The Handmaid's Tale struggle to grasp their identities. Forced to dress the
same, talk the same, and act the same, Offred has trouble remembering who she was before the
revolution. She is surrounded by people making sure she doesn't step out of line. Offred is tasked
with walking town to run errands but "[she isn't] allowed to go there except in twos. Supposedly for

The Left Behind Series Analysis
In the Left Behind series, Christianity uses a form of popular culture in the form of a young adult
novel series, but it is also influenced by popular culture in this series as well. The writer of this
popular series is evangelical and used this novel to portray the rapture and the tribulation upon the
return of Jesus Christ. This series, being that of Rapture fiction, has all of the stock characters that
are needed to fulfill the scenario: the raptured woman, the worldly man, the prodigal daughter.
Christianity is portrayed in this novel series in that it upholds the idea that the rapture will happen,
with the tribulation to follow. It is also influenced by popular culture because the stock characters in

Mark Of The Beast Explained Summary
The rapture would happen in three weeks and Jesus Christ is coming again this year, a Christian
computer scientist has predicted after analyzing the prophecy in the Old Testament book of Daniel.
In the blog "The Mark of the Beast Explained," Nora Roth said she believes the books of Daniel and
Revelation reveal the events that would happen when the rapture comes. At the end of the entry, the
Christian computer scientist predicts that Jesus Christ's second coming will happen three weeks
from now, Christian Today (CT) relays.
"In the fall of 2016 the 6,000 years of sin on earth will come to an end, everlasting righteousness
will be brought in, and Jesus will come again to take His people to heaven..." Roth predicts.
However, CT points out that Roth's

The Rapture
The Rapture
The word "rapture" derived from Paul's "caught up" remark in verse 17. The words "caught up" are
translated from the Greek word harpazo, which means "to carry off," "snatch up," or "grasp hastily."
The translation from harpazo to "rapture" involved two steps: first, harpazo became the Latin word
raptus; second, raptus became the English word "rapture" (Rapture. Web. 05 Dec. 2015.). On the
subject of the timing of these events, in my study and research I found many scriptures that give us a
clearer understanding as to when these things shall take place. However, no man, not the angels, or
even the Son of man knows the time that God will send Christ to receive the Church.
In 1 Thessalonians 4 it talks about the rapture will occur at "the coming of the Lord." However, in
upon reading 1 Corinthians 15:52 it says this will happen during "the last trump." In fact, some have
found that the word contradicts however, that is not correct we need the Holy Spirit who gives the

Thessalonians 4 –– and is supported in other passages. Unfortunately, the Bible is ambiguous about
exactly when the rapture will occur. Most believers in the rapture suggest that it will happen just
before the expected seven–year Tribulation –– a time of great suffering, instability, the devastating
War of Armageddon, and the largest genocide that the world has ever seen. Some suggest that it will
happen just after the Tribulation when Jesus finally returns to Earth (Web. 05 Dec.

Tribulation Consists of Three Different Capital Beliefs
Rough draft 2 The tribulation consists of three different capital beliefs. These beliefs include the
Pre–Tribulation, Mid–Tribulation, and Post–Tribulation. Each tribulation has its own biblical
standpoint requiring beliefs based on when the return of Jesus. Some tribulation beliefs have strong
biblical evidence while others lack biblical documentation. The rapture is a event that is tied into the
tribulation because the Great Tribulation is based on when the rapture occurs. The rapture is a event
where all non Christians will be left on earth while and all believers will go to heaven. Jesus will
come to earth but will not physically touch ground instead he will remain in air and return to heaven
with the church.
Pre tribulation is the series of events described through the bible regarding when the return of Jesus
will be. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are
alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and
so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thess, 4:16–18). This passage shows the uplifting of believers
from earth to heaven. God will come from heaven, trumpets will sound and all believer in him will
go to heaven.
Pre Tribulation believers think that they are removed from the wrath of god for the Bible says "For
God hath not appointed us to wrath,

Dimmesdale Rapture
INSERT WILDLY CLEVER TITLE HERE Many classic story arcs employ what, in ancient Greek
dramas, are called instances of "deus ex machina," or 'god from the machine.' In these stories, an
unforeseen factor arrives and offers an apparent solution to what would otherwise be an insoluble
problem. Toward the end of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, the Puritan minister
Dimmesdale seems to find such a resolution for the inner torment he has imposed on himself in
atonement for his affair with Hester. While Dimmesdale's emotions escalate toward rapture at the
suggestion of leaving his life of outward piety and private shame behind, he remains constrained by
his past, both his moral foundation and the sin for which he is yet to take ... Show more content on

This ambiguity parallels the way he relishes the chance to start anew, but refuses to appreciate the
woman who grants him this chance, the human light source. Dimmesdale identifies the sense of
luminosity he feels as something his pleasure "threw" upon him. The verb 'to throw' recalls the
biblical verse of John 8:7 when Jesus instructs a group of men who are stoning a woman to death for
adultery that "whoever is without sin" should be "the first to cast a stone." The joy Dimmesdale feels
in this scene delivers itself to him with a verb which the bible applies to punishment. Consideration
of the justice which has not been administered disrupts the revelry that lands "over" the "trouble of
his breast." Because of the magnitude of his past sin, present joy hovers above his troubles, rather
than eclipsing them. So long as Dimmesdale fails to take public responsibility for his actions, he will
never feel pure joy. The trouble remains upon his "breast," in the very place where his female
accomplice was forced to bear the public consequence of their shared action alone. Still, the illusion
of total joy intensifies.
Without the impositions of any outside religious organization, Dimmesdale believes himself to be
entirely free, though his devout, masochistic past continues to manifest itself. The second sentence is
far longer than the first, illustrating Dimmesdale's growing comfort with the once alien joy of
freedom. Dimmesdale enjoys the "exhilarating

The Holy Spirit Of The Ark
Remember, I told you the Rapture is a type of ark. The first time God used an ark was to save people
that believed in Him from the destruction of water. The second time will be to save the faithful from
the destruction of fire with the ark of rapture by a Bridegroom. It has never been God's method in
the past to pour wrath out on believers! Noah and his family went inside of the ark seven days
before the flood. The ark was a covering like a "huppa," which is symbolic of heaven. The church
will be raptured away just like an ancient Jewish bride would have been. The Holy Spirit fell on the
church at Pentecost after Jesus returned to His Father 's house. The Holy Spirit is the "Comforter"
that Jesus promised would come after His Ascension. The Holy Spirit manifested within the body of
the church, and it is the current restrainer of the antichrist. A spirit needs a body to manifest itself in,
and when the Holy Spirit filled church is gone, Satan, who is a spirit, will be able to take over inside
of the antichrist. The apostle Paul tells us this in 2Thessalonians 2:7 NASB, "For the mystery of
lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the
way."

Summary: The Rapture Exposed
When I first started believing in God most of my faith was based on how I felt and not what I knew
about God. I did not have much experience yet and I had just started reading the bible. When I
entered college I was confident in my faith, and my God, and wanted to learn more about Him from
the Bible. I was frustrated when I began to read the more difficult text to only find myself
completely disconnected or lost, especially in the Book of Revelation. I was eventually fortunate
enough to be pointed towards a book on Revelation, "The Rapture Exposed" by

2 Rossing, The Rapture Exposed 21 With now an empty spot for theological views in the book of
Revelation, Rossing goes on to give the book of Revelation a message of hope. She frames the book
of revelation as an anti–Roman piece of literature. As Rome was brutality conquering and
controlling its people she believed
John was trying to create a new world through his writing. Claiming "that the ultimate glory and
victory belong to God"4 She continues to go on to show how the book of Revelation is about a
redeeming quality created by God in his control over all things, and the call of Christians to resist
oppressive powers.
The Book of Revelation is still confusing to me and I will not even attempt to say I have it mastered,
but I am now less afraid of this book, believing it's a book of hope, not destruction. This was
important for me because the concept of the rapture always seemed very solid in Christianity, but at
the same time seemed misplaced in my understanding of Christianity. Reading this book allowed my
understanding of Revelation not to be completely controlled by mainstream media and the opinions
of friends. I felt lied to and now my eyes were finally open to new ideals. This book not only
challenged and disproved what I had thought originally, but it spoke of another subject that I was

STORY COMMENTS
THE UNRAPTURED is a faith–based, thriller that sends a strong message about the power of
believing. The script explores the danger of a society that oppresses one's belief. The script is
targeted toward a teenage audience. In fact, there's a very likable teen protagonist that drives the
story. The tone is consistently dramatic. The script examines solid themes about faith, destiny, and
believing.
There are many twists and turns consistent with a thriller. Thriller techniques are also used, such as
the sense of being stalked and the threat of harm or death. There also are some well–crafted action
sequences.
The story presents with both strengths and weaknesses. The highlights are Troy and Jacey. What's
very intriguing about the presentation is the realization that Troy and others have no idea of the
history about religion and have no idea who Jesus Christ was.
With that said, the overall script would benefit from further development in the areas of the
structure, the pace, and clarification, as well as further character

Questions About Morality and Religion in Rapture Practice...
Throughout the story of Rapture Practice many questions about religion and morality arise. As
Aaron Hartzler, raised as a dedicated baptist since birth, matures, he discovers that his views differ
from his parent's and his church, and he struggles to come to terms with his beliefs. By finding a
way to experience life outside of the house, Aaron realizes that religion does not necessarily make
you an incorruptible person. How do religion and morality play into the themes of Rapture Practice?

Aaron has always been taught that from the beginning, as soon as you are born, God already knows
His final plan for you. The thing is, he wonders, why does it even matter what choices we make on
earth if God already knows whether he's going to send us to heaven or hell? The bible says that if
you know God, and you love God, you will go to heaven. So why then, does it even matter how
angelic you think you are on earth if He's already decided that He will send you to heaven? Why not
commit every earthly sin imaginable as long as you repent in the end and turn to God in search of
love at your death, knowing that then you will end up in heaven? "But apparently Ted Burgundy will
be in heaven because he asked Jesus into his heart after he raped and killed thirty women–at least."
(Hartzler, 232). Aaron is mystified by why the mass murderer is going to end up in heaven when he
had raped and murdered an estimated 100 women, while innocent children from the jungle will go
to hell just because no one ever told them about God. Is it really a just God that sentences hundreds
of innocent people to hell when it is out of their control whether or not they deserved it? God is
supposed to love all of his people, yet He creates souls knowing in the end that they will be damned
to hell no matter how kind or loving they are. In the end, it's all about God. It doesn't matter if you

What is the rapture? The rapture is a well–known event among many people. However, the term
rapture is actually never used once in the Bible. It originates from another Latin word that means "to
carry off." The rapture is an event that will come in the end times. God will take away all of His
followers from earth before tribulation comes into action. This event is primarily referenced in (1
Thessalonians 4: 13–18). It will be an astounding moment for all of the people are are alive in Him,

Our bodies will be transformed and glorified to fit eternity (1 John 3:2). The rapture is often used as

The best place to look in order to answer this question is in Matthew (Matthew 24:5–8). The Bible
says that nation will face nation, natural disasters like earthquakes will occur, false gods, war, and
false teaching will be a growing phenomenon (1 Timothy 4:1). We must always be alert for what is
coming and know we have a place with the Father whenever the time may come (Revelation 22:20).
The end times generates some of the greatest mysteries known to man, because there is no possible
way to know any of it.
What is the tribulation? The tribulation is the final step for God to confirm His judgment on those
who do not believe. Before this time comes, the church will be plucked from the earth (1
Thessalonians 4: 13–18) so that they do not have to suffer through the pain that is coming (1
Thessalonians 5:9). Satan will then reveal himself and take charge, delivering pain and destruction
for all of those who were left

A Kind Of Rapture In Strangers By Toni Morrison
"Strangers" by Toni Morrison, an introduction to the book: A kind of Rapture How we encounter,
interact and judge strangers, is a reflection of us. Toni Morrison starts by telling the story about
seeing an elder fisherwoman wearing unusual old clothes, near to her neighbor's wall. After the first
encounter and a brief conversation, in her mind, Morrison starts to bond with the lady and form a
friendship. Months pass, but she never sees her again. She felt deceived, confused and delighted. As
the time passed, her feelings changed towards resentment and anger. She asked herself: why would
she care and obsess with a stranger? The stranger connoted a friendship, but robbed her of this
opportunity, her desire and feeling. This is the stranger's nature, bother us, lie and disappoint us. ...

Images affect the language, reveal what we know or think. How Morrison saw the fisherwoman with
her clothes, her sympathy for her followed by a delicate talk, caused the image she created about her
without realizing how it can affect her judgment. We judge people, often without adequate notion.
We lose the meaning of being human and the truth is far from our reach. Morrison came to a
conclusion about the reason for her irrational thought. She believes, she saw a version of herself in
the fisherwoman, as we all do with strangers. Strangers are different versions of us and reflect us our
own images. Sometimes a version we like to be and often a version we run away from. She believes

S Ebjectivist Statement In Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged
In this paper, I argue that Bioshock is a critique of John Galt's objectivist position as expressed in
Atlas Shrugged. Ayn Rand through John Galt argues that a man takes his own responsibility for his
own happiness as the moral purpose of his life behind his existence with productive achievement
and rational reason. In the videogame Bioshock, it shows the fall of the underwater city of Rapture
representing utopia city Atlas in Atlas Shrugged and illustrates the failure of John Galt's philosophy.
While Rand places significance in objective self–interest, Bioshock shows the inquiry what might
society look like if everyone only lived for themselves. As we structure a society shaped by rational
self–interest, Rand focuses on facts, reason, individuals, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Book of Revelation
In the book of Revelation, the end of the world is foretold. The different elements of the Apocalypse
(described in Revelation) fire, brimstone, war, famine, pestilence, and death are all indicatives of
chaos within the world.
Rapture–Palooza is a prime example of a movie that has great concept behind it, but struggles to
actually contribute factual information regarding The Book of Revelation. The ideas of these kinds
of movies are so absurd that you're immediately drawn in; people desire these kinds of movies.
Especially Bible teachers I'm sure. In the end, the finished product is more than a footnote on a
summer screen that includes better apocalyptic films like This is the End, The World's End, It's a
Disaster, and 2012 which is a shame, because it has an incredible cast unlike the rest of them.
Lindsey (Anna Kendrick) and Ben (John Francis Daley) are a young couple living in Seattle. They
enjoy bowling together and one night something strange occurs: the Rapture. As in, the biblical
Rapture, where all the believers are sucked up into Heaven for an eternity of happiness with God,
while the rest of us are left on Earth to fend for ourselves, coping with all the fun games the Book of
Revelation has in store for us. This includes swarms of foul– mouthed crows, locusts that follow you
around screaming "suffer," and, of course, occasional rain with a slight chance of blood. As you can

Summary Of Rapture Practice By Aaron Hartzler
Imagine being in a family where you aren't able to be yourself or express your feelings the way that
you want to. Your parents don't allow you to do a lot of things that most college students do because
they believe you're going to end up going to hell. That's the kind of family that Aaron Hartzler grew
up in. Aaron Hartzler is an actor, screenwriter, and author who has written two books. In his first
book rapture practice, which is a memoir, he recalled events in his life as a teen living in an
evangelical household. According to the book, the rapture is when Jesus Christ will appear and
people who have been born again will go and meet him. According to the Aaron Hartzler website,

Aaron Hartzler is the main character and he lived in a Christian family that lived life based on the
bible. There household had lots of rules, that had to be followed or consequences would be faced. As
Aaron was growing up his parents were continuously controlling him by telling him that he was
going to hell if he didn't follow god's word or they would compare him to satin. The Hartzler
children weren't allowed to attend movies, watch TV, or listen to music that wasn't Christian. But
those were all things that Aaron wanted to do before the rapture came. While away at camp Aaron
and some friends decided to attend a movie, but did his conscious allow him to? Did he disobey his
parents and god? Aaron's best friend was Bradley and their lives were complete opposites but
Aaron's parents didn't know that. They met at the Christian high school that the Hartzler kids had
transferred to. Aaron and Bradley would hang out and do all of the things that Aaron's parents would
never allow him to do. His parents had no idea what Aaron was doing; they thought that Bradley's
household was similar to theirs. Growing up Aaron got into lots of trouble but he learned from every
mistake he made. He learned lots of things and they weren't from the bible

Creative Writing: Rapture
Moving deeper in, Lance began to think through the situation a bit more thoroughly. The longer they
spent with the crocodiles the more likely someone was to be caught. If they both made it through
however, the temporary truce they'd formed was likely to dissolve. There would either be a fight, or
a race to the end, and it wasn't guaranteed that Lance would win either of them. The future was
looking grim. Lance needed a plan of action, and as he tiptoed further one came to him, sparked by
Rapture nearly getting caught. If Rapture were to serve as a distraction, Lance could very likely
make it through the rest of the crocodiles without worrying about being caught himself. It would
almost assure his victory in this challenge. He looked towards Rapture. As much as it pained him,
Lance needed to win. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

caught in the croc's maw, but as off guard as he was, he slammed into another one behind him. The

The agitation was exactly what Lance needed. He took off running down the tunnel. With the

Pretribulationist View On Pre-Tribulational Rapture
The Pre–Tribulational Rapture
For much of History since Jesus Christ's ascension, the predominant view of the rapture was that it
would occur after the Tribulation. There has been extensive debate over whether the Church will
have to endure the hardships of The Tribulation, or be "caught up" in the air with Christ before those
events begin. Doctrines such as posttribulationism went virtually untouched until 1948, when Israel
reestablished itself as a state. Once that significant event occurred, many people reconsidered the
idea of a pretribulational rapture of the church. A pretribulational rapture is the correct viewpoint
because the Bible the Bible is the Word of God and should be taken literally, an alternative is not
mentioned, and it does not In order to fully understand Pretribulationism, one must understand the
predominant opposing theories. First, Posstribulationism is the belief that the Rapture of the saints
will occur at the same time of the second coming of Jesus Christ. While adherents of this view vary
on their opinions, most hold to a few key tenets. Most Posttribulationists attempt to spiritualize the
Tribulation as a series of past events along with any prophetical events mentioned in the Bible that
would lend itself to support the Pretribulationist viewpoint. They tend to not hold to the Bible as
completely inerrant and also often intermingle the Church with Israel. Second, the Pre–wrath rapture
is the belief that believers will be raptured to Heaven

Will A Rapture Happen For His Second Coming?
Roman Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Lutherans and reformed Christians are denominations that
believe there will be a rapture where Christ will be returning for his second coming. The rapture is
not mentioned in the bible but in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 1 Corinthians 15:50–54. "Believers who
have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet
the Lord in the air." This theory is based on scriptures in the bible. Many believers believe that all
non–believers on the earth at the time will be left behind for the tribulation period. Tribulation

He predicted that Jesus would return to Earth on May 21, 2011 whereas the saved would be taken up

destruction of the world. This prediction was said to be widely predicted in the Christian community
because he was part of a radio podcasting called family radio. Once that date has passed and nothing
had occurred he stated that the spiritual judgement occurred on that date and that the physical
rapture would occur on October 11. 2011. Once that date has passed he was labeled as a "false

The Time Of The End
To understand the end time, or the end of this present age as we know it, you must first understand
that in the Bible the "time of the end" spans from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation.
Since it is often difficult for most people to find the time to study the Bible from cover to cover, it
will be my job to highlight one of the most important threshold moments of the end time era for
your understanding, and let that serve as a quick reference to knowledge that you so desperately
need. Time is of the essence! In Last Call for The Church, you will get a truly unique understanding
of the Rapture as it applies to a collective body of believers, referred to in the Bible as a bride, or
better known as the church. Every effort has been made to present precept upon precept from the
viewpoint of a Pre–Tribulation Rapture.
Let me begin by saying, I did not want to write this book. I pleaded with God for five years to please
find someone else to give this call to the church. I begged Him just like Moses did, "please find
someone else, someone more qualified than me, someone who speaks better than me," (Exodus 4:13
NIV). I was clearly having my very own "burning bush" moment with God. I was denying my
calling by coming up with every excuse possible, and I knew it! God had caught my attention, and
He might as well have been speaking to me from a burning bush. It was just that unreal! I mean, I
saw it in the spirit; I heard it in the spirit; and I just could not believe

Revelation Is Sealed And Closed From Understanding Its...
Most people believe that the book of Revelation is sealed and closed from understanding its context.
It is often called a mysterious book without meaning, and frequently brings confusion to others. Yet
this book contains important, vital meanings that will correlate to what might happen in our lifetime,
such as the coming of the Antichrist, multiple beasts, visions, plagues, wars, and much more. The
book of Revelation is filled with truths and answers to the questions that relate to the end times.
With the prophecy of Daniel and the words of John and Jesus, it gives us a clear description on what
will come in the end of times. You will be fascinated–even captivated–by the simplicity of what can
be known from this book of Revelation. Events are building to a concluding conclusion–and a
marvelous climax! The time is closer than you think and it is important to know and understand
what lies ahead. And as the church of Christ, it is important that we should be aware of the warnings
and prophecy that is given to us. The visions in the book of Daniel resemble that of John's in the
book of Revelation. Between the two books, it gives a clearer description of the events that will take
place when the events of Revelation will happen. John writes Revelation to encourage the faithful to
staunchly resist the Antichrist amid tribulation. He informs his readers that the final showdown
between God and Satan is imminent. Satan will increase his persecution of believers, but they must

After The Rapture Of The Church
The premillennial supposition is the basis for the article . The Scriptures foretells that after the
rapture of the church a seven year period of unparalleled trouble will follow, known as the
tribulation, according to Daniel 9:27. During the tribulation, incomprehensible sin will abound and
then divine judgment will prevail. At the end of the tribulation, Christ will return and set up his
kingdom and will rule for 1000 years. At the conclusion of the 1000 year rule, an outbreak of sin
will be perpetuated and the final judgment for the wicked. Then the new heaven and the new earth
will then be established for all eternity.
The third person of the triune God is the Holy Spirit. He posses the attributes of God Father and
Jesus Christ. He is the personal unseen power and presence of God in the world.
The mission of the Holy Spirit is to proclaim overflowing love and world embracing communion of
the triune God. God's mission is calling the entire creation into life–giving communion through
Jesus the Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is in the midst of these distressing events the
Holy Spirit ministers. It is clear that His work will be quite different than His present mission for the
Church. The millennium dispensations the Holy Spirit will continue his work of regeneration.

Good People Go To Hell Analysis
Good People Go To Hell was filmed by Holly Hardman in 2012. Her film talks about the rapture
culture and what the member of that culture believe. According to film, Rapture culture is defined as
a Christian belief in which people believe in "the act of being lifted by Jesus into heavenly skies
upon the Second Coming" and those who don't believe will be left on Earth. The film was shot in
Louisiana. Hardman follows the lives of Misti Taylor and her family as Christians who are a part of
the rapture culture. She also follows another family through their journey of spreading the word of
Christ. Although this film showcases the lives of those involved in the rapture culture, it also
exposes the controversy of this culture.

Rapture Essay
The Rapture theory is one of the most recent doctrines that has been adopted my modern Christians.
There are 3 different phases of the rapture; pre–tribulation, mid–tribulation, and post tribulation but
the general idea is that all Christians will be take up to heaven during the last days without warning.
We all must be ready because it can happen at any given time due to the belief that we are in the
time of the resurrection. The only clear depiction of a rapture is in the movies and fictional books
that describes clothes left behind on chairs and empty cars that are still operated in drive mode.

There are many people who believe that there are references to the rapture in the Bible. For
example: "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to
meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1Thessalonians 4:17 The
phrase caught up vaguely insists of a certain type of resurrection but it is open to (mis)interpretation.
In the Scofield Bible's Reference Notes: "...'caught up'–Not church saints only, but all bodies of the
saved [that is, not only the living, but also the dead], of whatever dispensation, are included in the
first resurrection... is peculiarly the 'blessed hope' of the Church." This offers little information,
considering how many people accept the rapture doctrine based upon these notes. Additionally, all
of the references he cited are about Christ's return and the believer's need to be ready for that event.
None of his notes discusses God rapturing away believers and taking them to live in the promise
land.
The only psychical research we can gather to explain the miracle would be to juxtaposes rapture to a
mass out of body experience. Out of body experiences occur in many religions traditions which
brings up the possibly that humans may survive bodily death. (or can be conjured up to a spirit
world) It is defined by Glen Gabbard and Stuart Twemlow as, "An altered state of consciousness in

Mid Tribulation Argument
Mid–tribulation believers hold a belief that the church will still be on Earth the first three and one
half years of the tribulation. They believe that the first half of the tribulation they will go through, as
well as the second half (the worst half), will send them to heaven to join God's army. One main
supporting idea for the mid–tribulation argument is the thought of separating the lambs and the
goats. Mid–tribulationists believe that true Christians and believers in Christ and of God will go
through the first half of the tribulation, hold onto their faith, and persevere onto God. The lamb is
referring to the body of Christ, while the goat is referring to the Devil and those who do not believe
in God. Tribulation is split into two

A Summary OfThe Rapture And The Book Of Revelation
In K. Essex's article aptly named, The Rapture and the Book of Revelation, Essex outlines four
promising facts regarding Revelation 3:10. He states,
First, this promise applies not only to one local assembly existing in the days of the apostle John but
to the entire church of Jesus Christ. The constant refrain in all seven messages from Christ to these
churches is "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Second, the trial
which is coming is not local, but is "about to come upon the whole world." The persecutions of the
past were usually limited to one country or area. This trial must refer to the tribulation to come when
all the world will be "amazed and follow after the beast" (13:3), and all who worship him will come
under the wrath of God. Third, "those who dwell on the earth" is not a suitable description for the
members of the church. Fourth, the grammar of τηρέω εκ (tereö ek), though not conclusive, favors
'removal from' the hour of trial.
Not only does Essex, much like Svigel and I touch on the Greek origins of Rev 3:10, but he also
picks apart the logic behind the trials coming about the whole earth. It is not local to one area, it will
be meant for everyone left on the planet – key word: left. Thusly, the whole church will have heard
the Word from the Great Advocate by this time. Those who accepted and followed Christ would
have been lifted into the air and taken up with Christ. Essex also points out the scripture that follows

Jacob's Rapture

Israel had rejected the Messiah, the own Son of God, (John 1.11–12; Romans 11.11). Thus, the time

Andrew Shirley Rapture Symbolism
29 June 2015 – Political Meanings A book about politics can be very boring; that is why many
authors use symbols to embed their political views within their texts. An example of this can be
found within Bioshock: Rapture by John Shirley. In this book Andrew Ryan, a millionaire, wants to
build a new place where he can escape the 'parasite' (he calls the current political leaders parasites)
and create his own political system. Shirley stated his views very clearly with this quote, "The
parasite hates three things: free markets, free will, and free men" (Shirley). This potentially shows
that Shirley does not like the way our government is set up and he believes it restrains people and
markets. In the place that Ryan creates, Rapture, a completely ... Show more content on

The man replies that he doesn't know and the boy says that the man said it to him a long time ago,
both the man can't remember. This commentary between the characters seems somewhat randomly
placed in the book (though the boy does ask random things out of the blue) so it must be there for a
reason. First, this is the second time that the boy repeated something that he said he heard the man
say and the man didn't remember saying it. This could indicate that the man is speaking out loud
during his nightmares and the boy listens to what he is saying. This brings up the question: if the
man is speaking in his sleep, could he have said something about losing hope or having to kill his
son? Second, this commentary addresses the long term goals of the man; the man says that he does
not know what his long term goals are. This means that the man does not know if going to the South

The Great Tribulation : A Time Of Misery And Persecution...
The Great Tribulation has become a hot topic of conversation for many evangelists. Terrorist attacks
across the world, deadly war inhabiting our nation 's, pandemic diseases and other natural
phenomenon have brought light onto the up and coming subject, the end of times. According to the
Bible, the Tribulation is a time of misery and persecution of the followers of Christ. Furthermore,
the New Testament uses the word tribulation to signify a time period of distress after the return of
Jesus Christ. Nonetheless, during the Great Tribulation, believers believe the Lord will accomplish
two important aspects of his holy prophecy. In Daniel 9:24, the following verse reveals the first step
of the Lord 's plan "Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the
transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, bring in everlasting righteousness, to
seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place, is to complete the discipline of his
nation". Conforming to the following passage the message portrayed is the Lord will complete his
discipline on his nation during a time period denoted as the tribulation. According to Revelation 6–
18, the second aspect of the Lord 's plan is revealed. The verses state he will judge the unbelievers
that inhabit the sin filled earth. From a biblical point of view unbelievers are people who are
classified as those who deny Jesus is God 's son. Unbelievers do not believe in or follow

Premillennialist Belief In Rapture

  • 1. Premillennialist Belief In Rapture The fact that there exist various narratives concerning the topic of apocalypse invites the notion that there is a great number of people desiring the end of the world. Why would somebody be desirous of terminating the world's existence? Despite the fact that the end of the world has a dark, uncanny, irredeemably, and desperate tone to it, one has to consider its consequences. Therefore, the evangelical protestantism belief in the rapture offers a solution to the otherwise unsatisfactory or even nonexistent future. Dispensational premillennialists think of themselves as being designated to spread the idea of rapture; which conveys that Christ will come to earth in order to take the true believers to heaven. True believers are worthy of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The rapture in this case is a synonym for escape; an escape from a world true believers are undeservingly trapped in. The question that emerges while analyzing rapture is whether true believers are utterly freed from desires in heaven. Humans are determined to desire something and therefore it appears unlikely that after being taken to heaven, these desires completely vanish. Another reason for apocalyptic desire in terms of the rapture is hope for a better life. People that feel incomplete, that cannot bear competition, that are harrassed or even people that are alone may desire to be taken away from a miserable place. God's existence and his presence in heaven would save them. Faith and hope motivate discontented people to cope with everyday life. Furthermore Crawford Gribben explains that: "[...] dispensational premillennialism appealed to those evangelicals dissatisfied with the theological prevarications of mainstream Protestantism, as well as those, [...], whose disappointment with the possibilities of mission work was both a cause and a consequence of their increasingly pessimistic millennial point of view." (Gribben 5) The irony of his statement nevertheless is that in terms of a pessimistic millennial point of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Advantages Of Dispensationalism 1. Dispensationalism – A Legitimate Theological System Dispensationalism is a word that most theologians would sneer at because it is seen as a perversion of the Scriptures. These theologians would not recognize the history of dispensationalism purely because it would be seen as a relatively new system of interpreting Scripture. Dispensational theology receives a lot of criticism because it is not properly understood. Dispensationalism is mainly conservative in biblical interpretation and while there seems to be a negative connotation to the word 'Evangelical'; those who subscribe to a dispensational view point are evangelical Christians in a sense. Criticism of Dispensationalism Dispensationalism seeks to interpret the Bible in a plain literal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These differences can be as simple as the difference between the Old and New Testament. Dispensationalism depends primarily on "Rightly dividing the Word" as found in 2 Timothy 2:15. Other distinctions could be the difference between the nation of Israel and the Body of Christ. This means assessing the Scriptures just like any other piece of literature and to place the text within their primary meaning and context. Too often with many theologians, verses are quoted out of context. One could probably draw a conclusion that Christ was a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How about, because God inspired it and made it come to life or created it, for us. As our guide to living the correct way and the better way, for as without it's knowledge and teachings, we're doomed. Man's incapable of living in peace. Many don't seem to realise, that we're presently "running towards world war 3" and soon knowledge will be increased, but lots of misery & suffering will be had beforehand, in this terrible pathetic sinful world. The so–called Christian, the Rapture people & the gentiles; will all suffer the wrath of man's cruel rule; cities will be ablaze, counties will be captured into slavery... Why will God allow it? • 7. The Prediction and Credibility of Harold Camping Essay Not many people know who Harold Camping is just by hearing his name. However, people do know what he did without the name. Camping shows why credibility is important and how his actions affect it. He has given us this lesson of credibility by predicting something that would change the world and it did not happen. He tried to blame it on a mathematical error and other mistakes. He asked for forgiveness and due to his actions lost a lot of credibility. He later suffered from a stroke and died at 92 (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead at 92). Here is the timeline of his lifetime events leading up to the fail predictions. Harold Camping was born on July 19, 1921 in Boulder Colorado. He was one of five brothers raised by Dutch immigrants who were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So he then started teaching on the air about the end of the world (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead at 92). He was very well known so he had a group of several million people around the world who supported him. However he did in the later 1980's began to preach/teach that churches were straying away from the Bible (Clark). Since he started down this road he lost a lot of support but nothing compared to what was coming in 2011 and 2012. His first widely known prediction was that on May 21, 2011 the would would come to an end. He convinced thousands of followers that Jesus Christ would return on that day (Clark). He preached that about 200 million people would be saved and those who are left behind would eventually witness the Earth, be consumed by a fireball on October 21, later the same year. People gave everything they had away, drained their bank accounts and took long journeys to be with family members. Keith Baur, drove 3,000 miles in his mini van so he could be in California for the rapture. He said, "I have some skepticism but I was trying to push the skepticism away because I believe in God" (Burke). Millions of dollars were given in donations to advertising the end of the world, 5,000 billboards were plastered with the message and 20 RV's as well (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead at 92). Some people took drastic actions in order to avoid the event that was to come. A mother in California stabbed her two daughters (11 and 14) and slit her own throat with a ... • 9. Tribulation Paper Sanctification does not happen without a deep motivation and drive from an outside source. There are several areas in a Christian's life that can provide that motivation, for instance, Bible reading, the Holy Spirit, and prayer. All of these are a great means of motivation but perhaps the greatest motivation is the anticipation of the Lords return. The Bible is very clear that the rapture is coming, and that Christ will return for his bridegroom. However, the Bible is less clear on when the church will be raptured in relation to the tribulation period. There are a couple different thoughts on when the rapture will happen, two of the most common are pretribulation and posttribulation. This paper is looking to define the pretribulation view while taking a deeper look at the strengths and weaknesses this view has to offer. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the church was not removed before the tribulation, Christ would be focusing on Judgment for two different groups of his children (Beware 220). A verse that helps support the distinction between Israel and the church is Jeremiah 30:7, "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it." The reference to "Jacob's trouble" is a clear indication that this period of wrath is not intended for the church but for Jacobs decedents. On another note, one of the distinct differences between pretribulation and the other views considering the time of the rapture is a literal method of interpretation. The pretribulation view holds to a literal interpretation of the book of Revelation. Those who believe in posttribulation will interpret eschatology through spiritualization or treat it historically. Pretribulation is the only view that consistently receives information through a literal interpretation of scripture (Pentecost ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Pre-Trib Rapture Essay As already stated, this book is not a theological treatise so I will keep explanations of theological terms pithy and let the reader do their own investigation. In the fourth chapter of Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians, he expounds on The Rapture of The Church, (1 Thess. 4:16–17) an event where Christ comes to take His bride, the church, to heaven in the twinkling of an eye (an instant). Suddenly, without warning, all Christians either living, or who have died in the Lord, will be bodily resurrected. Members of Christ's church will receive their glorified "heavenly" bodies, similar to Christ's resurrection body. Many, including myself, believe this event will take place before the seven–year Tribulation Period when The Antichrist rules the world, and God's judgment rains down on the earth. This Rapture view is called, "Pre–Trib Rapture" (takes place "before" The Tribulation). Some Christians interpret the timing The Rapture to take place half way or ... Post–convention was chaotic for Donald Trump as well. Rumors abound of him quitting the race, party intervention and even propping up Mike Pence as the presidential nominee. Weeks prior the General Election, Trump's battle cry was, "The system is rigged!" I told my wife back in April that if the word apostasy truly means defection/uprising, it will involve both parties. • 13. Christian Eschatology Eschatology is defined as a branch of theology that outlines the final events of the world and of mankind. It is also the study of the ultimate purpose of the world and God's intentions. In Christianity, eschatology is often viewed as a forbidden subject in the study of theology. On the other hand, some regard eschatology as the most influential part of their religious life because they it determines the way in which they live their lives. These people live by a set of rules and ethics set by the Bible because they want to have the favorable experience after death that was outlined in the Christian Eschatology. In Christianity, death is thought to be the point at which the soul leaves its earthly body and the soul is at rest until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the contrary, this view stems from looking at the punishment from the standpoint of human justice systems. This is not a valid way to view hell as a punishment because God determined what acts deserved what punish meant a great number of years before the creation of any human justice systems. Although you must "die" an earthly to be sent to Hell, you are not "dead" while in Hell because you can not be tormented if you are dead. The unsaved will have everlasting consciousness which enables them to suffer the torment. There is a difference between individual eschatology and general eschatology but this does not imply that there are two different eschatologies. Individual eschatology is the destiny of each person while general eschatology is the destiny of humankind as a whole. General eschatology is the fate of the Church as a whole and deals with the end of the world and the conclusion of history. Individual eschatology is thought to include death and what happens to individuals between the time of death and the eternal state. On the other hand, general eschatology considers the final judgment, return of Christ and heaven and hell generally. According to Karl Rahner, they influence each other and make up a single reality. • 15. Summary Of Ninah's The Rapture Of Canaan In The Rapture of Canaan, Ninah lives in an isolated community ruled by a religion that is governed by her Grandfathers opinion on what the bible says. Grandpa Herman "had a habit of altering the [Bible] verses to make them match his beliefs" (Reynolds 14). Herman decides the way everyone dresses, speaks, acts, and even worships. He writes ludicrous laws that contain punishments such as sleeping in a cemetery grave for being unholy. Not only is Ninah smothered by her Grandfathers laws, she finds herself with less freedom than the males of the community. The men treat them as if the women were beneath them. Ninah tells the reader of the time her uncle "made a motion to his chest as if to say [that girl's] got big breasts" at dinner time, "and how the men laughed while the women pretended not to notice" (Reynolds 86). She's not impressed with the way men are allowed to say whatever they want while women have to bite their tongues. Ninah is immersed in a culture where men are superior to women and she is always reminded of how this is true. As well as being suppressed, the women in The Handmaid's Tale struggle to grasp their identities. Forced to dress the same, talk the same, and act the same, Offred has trouble remembering who she was before the revolution. She is surrounded by people making sure she doesn't step out of line. The Left Behind Series Analysis In the Left Behind series, Christianity uses a form of popular culture in the form of a young adult novel series, but it is also influenced by popular culture in this series as well. The writer of this popular series is evangelical and used this novel to portray the rapture and the tribulation upon the return of Jesus Christ. This series, being that of Rapture fiction, has all of the stock characters that are needed to fulfill the scenario: the raptured woman, the worldly man, the prodigal daughter. Christianity is portrayed in this novel series in that it upholds the idea that the rapture will happen, with the tribulation to follow. Mark Of The Beast Explained Summary The rapture would happen in three weeks and Jesus Christ is coming again this year, a Christian computer scientist has predicted after analyzing the prophecy in the Old Testament book of Daniel. In the blog "The Mark of the Beast Explained," Nora Roth said she believes the books of Daniel and Revelation reveal the events that would happen when the rapture comes. At the end of the entry, the Christian computer scientist predicts that Jesus Christ's second coming will happen three weeks from now, Christian Today (CT) relays. "In the fall of 2016 the 6,000 years of sin on earth will come to an end, everlasting righteousness will be brought in, and Jesus will come again to take His people to heaven..." Roth predicts. • 21. The Rapture The Rapture The word "rapture" derived from Paul's "caught up" remark in verse 17. The words "caught up" are translated from the Greek word harpazo, which means "to carry off," "snatch up," or "grasp hastily." The translation from harpazo to "rapture" involved two steps: first, harpazo became the Latin word raptus; second, raptus became the English word "rapture" (Rapture. Web. 05 Dec. 2015.). On the subject of the timing of these events, in my study and research I found many scriptures that give us a clearer understanding as to when these things shall take place. However, no man, not the angels, or even the Son of man knows the time that God will send Christ to receive the Church. In 1 Thessalonians 4 it talks about the rapture will occur at "the coming of the Lord." However, in upon reading 1 Corinthians 15:52 it says this will happen during "the last trump." In fact, some have found that the word contradicts however, that is not correct we need the Holy Spirit who gives the revelation of the word of God. According to 1 ... Unfortunately, the Bible is ambiguous about exactly when the rapture will occur. Most believers in the rapture suggest that it will happen just before the expected seven–year Tribulation –– a time of great suffering, instability, the devastating War of Armageddon, and the largest genocide that the world has ever seen. • 23. Tribulation Consists of Three Different Capital Beliefs Rough draft 2 The tribulation consists of three different capital beliefs. These beliefs include the Pre–Tribulation, Mid–Tribulation, and Post–Tribulation. Each tribulation has its own biblical standpoint requiring beliefs based on when the return of Jesus. Some tribulation beliefs have strong biblical evidence while others lack biblical documentation. The rapture is a event that is tied into the tribulation because the Great Tribulation is based on when the rapture occurs. The rapture is a event where all non Christians will be left on earth while and all believers will go to heaven. Jesus will come to earth but will not physically touch ground instead he will remain in air and return to heaven with the church. Pre tribulation is the series of events described through the bible regarding when the return of Jesus will be. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thess, 4:16–18). This passage shows the uplifting of believers from earth to heaven. God will come from heaven, trumpets will sound and all believer in him will go to heaven. Pre Tribulation believers think that they are removed from the wrath of god for the Bible says "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Dimmesdale Rapture INSERT WILDLY CLEVER TITLE HERE Many classic story arcs employ what, in ancient Greek dramas, are called instances of "deus ex machina," or 'god from the machine.' In these stories, an unforeseen factor arrives and offers an apparent solution to what would otherwise be an insoluble problem. Toward the end of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, the Puritan minister Dimmesdale seems to find such a resolution for the inner torment he has imposed on himself in atonement for his affair with Hester. While Dimmesdale's emotions escalate toward rapture at the suggestion of leaving his life of outward piety and private shame behind, he remains constrained by his past, both his moral foundation and the sin for which he is yet to take ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This ambiguity parallels the way he relishes the chance to start anew, but refuses to appreciate the woman who grants him this chance, the human light source. Dimmesdale identifies the sense of luminosity he feels as something his pleasure "threw" upon him. The verb 'to throw' recalls the biblical verse of John 8:7 when Jesus instructs a group of men who are stoning a woman to death for adultery that "whoever is without sin" should be "the first to cast a stone." The joy Dimmesdale feels in this scene delivers itself to him with a verb which the bible applies to punishment. Consideration of the justice which has not been administered disrupts the revelry that lands "over" the "trouble of his breast." Because of the magnitude of his past sin, present joy hovers above his troubles, rather than eclipsing them. So long as Dimmesdale fails to take public responsibility for his actions, he will never feel pure joy. The trouble remains upon his "breast," in the very place where his female accomplice was forced to bear the public consequence of their shared action alone. Still, the illusion of total joy intensifies. Without the impositions of any outside religious organization, Dimmesdale believes himself to be entirely free, though his devout, masochistic past continues to manifest itself. The second sentence is far longer than the first, illustrating Dimmesdale's growing comfort with the once alien joy of freedom. Dimmesdale enjoys the "exhilarating ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. The Holy Spirit Of The Ark Remember, I told you the Rapture is a type of ark. The first time God used an ark was to save people that believed in Him from the destruction of water. The second time will be to save the faithful from the destruction of fire with the ark of rapture by a Bridegroom. It has never been God's method in the past to pour wrath out on believers! Noah and his family went inside of the ark seven days before the flood. The ark was a covering like a "huppa," which is symbolic of heaven. The church will be raptured away just like an ancient Jewish bride would have been. The Holy Spirit fell on the church at Pentecost after Jesus returned to His Father 's house. The Holy Spirit is the "Comforter" that Jesus promised would come after His Ascension. The Holy Spirit manifested within the body of the church, and it is the current restrainer of the antichrist. A spirit needs a body to manifest itself in, and when the Holy Spirit filled church is gone, Satan, who is a spirit, will be able to take over inside of the antichrist. The apostle Paul tells us this in 2Thessalonians 2:7 NASB, "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way." *** No one knows the hour, but people have tried to set dates for Jesus' return. There are certain signs given in the Bible which signal when the time will be near. I told you some of the signs would be moral decay, world wide military upheavals, and environmental catastrophes. • 29. Summary: The Rapture Exposed When I first started believing in God most of my faith was based on how I felt and not what I knew about God. I did not have much experience yet and I had just started reading the bible. When I entered college I was confident in my faith, and my God, and wanted to learn more about Him from the Bible. I was frustrated when I began to read the more difficult text to only find myself completely disconnected or lost, especially in the Book of Revelation. I was eventually fortunate enough to be pointed towards a book on Revelation, "The Rapture Exposed" by Barbara Rossing. This book completely changed my ideas and perceptions on the book of Revelation. Theologies I had thought were ancient turned out to be relatively new. When I realized that ... ProQuest ebrary. 20 2 Rossing, The Rapture Exposed 21 With now an empty spot for theological views in the book of Revelation, Rossing goes on to give the book of Revelation a message of hope. She frames the book of revelation as an anti–Roman piece of literature. As Rome was brutality conquering and controlling its people she believed John was trying to create a new world through his writing. Claiming "that the ultimate glory and victory belong to God"4 She continues to go on to show how the book of Revelation is about a redeeming quality created by God in his control over all things, and the call of Christians to resist oppressive powers. The Book of Revelation is still confusing to me and I will not even attempt to say I have it mastered, but I am now less afraid of this book, believing it's a book of hope, not destruction. This was important for me because the concept of the rapture always seemed very solid in Christianity, but at the same time seemed misplaced in my understanding of Christianity. Reading this book allowed my understanding of Revelation not to be completely controlled by mainstream media and the opinions of friends. I felt lied to and now my eyes were finally open to new ideals. This book not only challenged and disproved what I had thought originally, but it spoke of another subject that I was wondering ... Post Rapture Essay In a post rapture world, a curious teenager finds a banned Bible, and joins an underground revival, to bring the word of the Bible to an oppressive society but his efforts are hindered by the current government, who believes in one religion. BRIEF SYNOPSIS In a post rapture world, TROY (18) accidentally stumbles into a conspiracy when he witnesses the murder of a clergyman. Right before the man dies, he gives Troy a bloody page from a book and tells him to find the key and help "her" find John. The police swarm the area, and JACEY (18), who belongs to an underground resistance group, runs into Troy. He believes she might be the girl he's looking for. STORY COMMENTS THE UNRAPTURED is a faith–based, thriller that sends a strong message about the power of believing. The script explores the danger of a society that oppresses one's belief. The script is targeted toward a teenage audience. In fact, there's a very likable teen protagonist that drives the story. The tone is consistently dramatic. The script examines solid themes about faith, destiny, and believing. There are many twists and turns consistent with a thriller. Thriller techniques are also used, such as the sense of being stalked and the threat of harm or death. There also are some well–crafted action sequences. The story presents with both strengths and weaknesses. The highlights are Troy and Jacey. What's very intriguing about the presentation is the realization that Troy and others have no idea of the history about religion and have no idea who Jesus Christ was. With that said, the overall script would benefit from further development in the areas of the structure, the pace, and clarification, as well as further character ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As Aaron Hartzler, raised as a dedicated baptist since birth, matures, he discovers that his views differ from his parent's and his church, and he struggles to come to terms with his beliefs. By finding a way to experience life outside of the house, Aaron realizes that religion does not necessarily make you an incorruptible person. How do religion and morality play into the themes of Rapture Practice? When Aaron is young, there is absolutely no doubt in his little mind that everything is just as his parents tell him. All children believe this, of course. It's just natural instinct to trust your parents to lead you down the right pathway. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Aaron has always been taught that from the beginning, as soon as you are born, God already knows His final plan for you. The thing is, he wonders, why does it even matter what choices we make on earth if God already knows whether he's going to send us to heaven or hell? The bible says that if you know God, and you love God, you will go to heaven. So why then, does it even matter how angelic you think you are on earth if He's already decided that He will send you to heaven? Why not commit every earthly sin imaginable as long as you repent in the end and turn to God in search of love at your death, knowing that then you will end up in heaven? "But apparently Ted Burgundy will be in heaven because he asked Jesus into his heart after he raped and killed thirty women–at least." (Hartzler, 232). Aaron is mystified by why the mass murderer is going to end up in heaven when he had raped and murdered an estimated 100 women, while innocent children from the jungle will go to hell just because no one ever told them about God. Is it really a just God that sentences hundreds of innocent people to hell when it is out of their control whether or not they deserved it? God is supposed to love all of his people, yet He creates souls knowing in the end that they will be damned to hell no matter how kind or loving they are. In the end, it's all about God. • 39. Rapture Research Papers What is the rapture? The rapture is a well–known event among many people. However, the term rapture is actually never used once in the Bible. It originates from another Latin word that means "to carry off." The rapture is an event that will come in the end times. God will take away all of His followers from earth before tribulation comes into action. This event is primarily referenced in (1 Thessalonians 4: 13–18). It will be an astounding moment for all of the people are are alive in Him, because from that point on they will be with God for the rest of eternity (1 Thessalonians 4: 16–17). Our bodies will be transformed and glorified to fit eternity (1 John 3:2). The rapture is often used as a symbol of hope, a magnet to draw people closer to Him. ... We must always be alert for what is coming and know we have a place with the Father whenever the time may come (Revelation 22:20). The end times generates some of the greatest mysteries known to man, because there is no possible way to know any of it. What is the tribulation? The tribulation is the final step for God to confirm His judgment on those who do not believe. Toni Morrison starts by telling the story about seeing an elder fisherwoman wearing unusual old clothes, near to her neighbor's wall. After the first encounter and a brief conversation, in her mind, Morrison starts to bond with the lady and form a friendship. Months pass, but she never sees her again. She felt deceived, confused and delighted. As the time passed, her feelings changed towards resentment and anger. She asked herself: why would she care and obsess with a stranger? The stranger connoted a friendship, but robbed her of this opportunity, her desire and feeling. This is the stranger's nature, bother us, lie and disappoint us. ... Pretribulationist View On Pre-Tribulational Rapture The Pre–Tribulational Rapture For much of History since Jesus Christ's ascension, the predominant view of the rapture was that it would occur after the Tribulation. There has been extensive debate over whether the Church will have to endure the hardships of The Tribulation, or be "caught up" in the air with Christ before those events begin. Doctrines such as posttribulationism went virtually untouched until 1948, when Israel reestablished itself as a state. Once that significant event occurred, many people reconsidered the idea of a pretribulational rapture of the church. A pretribulational rapture is the correct viewpoint because the Bible the Bible is the Word of God and should be taken literally, an alternative is not mentioned, and it does not In order to fully understand Pretribulationism, one must understand the predominant opposing theories. First, Posstribulationism is the belief that the Rapture of the saints will occur at the same time of the second coming of Jesus Christ. While adherents of this view vary on their opinions, most hold to a few key tenets. Most Posttribulationists attempt to spiritualize the Tribulation as a series of past events along with any prophetical events mentioned in the Bible that would lend itself to support the Pretribulationist viewpoint. They tend to not hold to the Bible as completely inerrant and also often intermingle the Church with Israel. Second, the Pre–wrath rapture is the belief that believers will be raptured to Heaven ... The Time Of The End To understand the end time, or the end of this present age as we know it, you must first understand that in the Bible the "time of the end" spans from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. The Scriptures foretells that after the rapture of the church a seven year period of unparalleled trouble will follow, known as the tribulation, according to Daniel 9:27. For example: "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1Thessalonians 4:17 The phrase caught up vaguely insists of a certain type of resurrection but it is open to (mis)interpretation. In the Scofield Bible's Reference Notes: "...'caught up'–Not church saints only, but all bodies of the saved [that is, not only the living, but also the dead], of whatever dispensation, are included in the first resurrection... is peculiarly the 'blessed hope' of the Church." This offers little information, considering how many people accept the rapture doctrine based upon these notes. Additionally, all of the references he cited are about Christ's return and the believer's need to be ready for that event. None of his notes discusses God rapturing away believers and taking them to live in the promise land. The only psychical research we can gather to explain the miracle would be to juxtaposes rapture to a mass out of body experience. Out of body experiences occur in many religions traditions which brings up the possibly that humans may survive bodily death. (or can be conjured up to a spirit world) It is defined by Glen Gabbard and Stuart Twemlow as, "An altered state of consciousness in which the subject feels that his mind ... • 67. Mid Tribulation Argument Mid–tribulation believers hold a belief that the church will still be on Earth the first three and one half years of the tribulation. They believe that the first half of the tribulation they will go through, as well as the second half (the worst half), will send them to heaven to join God's army. One main supporting idea for the mid–tribulation argument is the thought of separating the lambs and the goats. Mid–tribulationists believe that true Christians and believers in Christ and of God will go through the first half of the tribulation, hold onto their faith, and persevere onto God. The lamb is referring to the body of Christ, while the goat is referring to the Devil and those who do not believe in God. Tribulation is split into two ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 69. A Summary OfThe Rapture And The Book Of Revelation In K. Essex's article aptly named, The Rapture and the Book of Revelation, Essex outlines four promising facts regarding Revelation 3:10. He states, First, this promise applies not only to one local assembly existing in the days of the apostle John but to the entire church of Jesus Christ. The constant refrain in all seven messages from Christ to these churches is "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Second, the trial which is coming is not local, but is "about to come upon the whole world." The persecutions of the past were usually limited to one country or area. This trial must refer to the tribulation to come when all the world will be "amazed and follow after the beast" (13:3), and all who worship him will come under the wrath of God. Third, "those who dwell on the earth" is not a suitable description for the members of the church. Fourth, the grammar of τηρέω εκ (tereö ek), though not conclusive, favors 'removal from' the hour of trial. Not only does Essex, much like Svigel and I touch on the Greek origins of Rev 3:10, but he also picks apart the logic behind the trials coming about the whole earth. It is not local to one area, it will be meant for everyone left on the planet – key word: left. Thusly, the whole church will have heard the Word from the Great Advocate by this time. Those who accepted and followed Christ would have been lifted into the air and taken up with Christ. Essex also points out the scripture that follows after ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 71. Personal Narrative: A Day Before The Rapture 'Twas the night before the rapture, all was quiet and still. That the Father gave the order, to go get Sara and Bill; Their things were all ready and packed with much care, In hopes that Jesus the Savior soon would be there; Their children were nestled all tucked in their beds; While visions of Jesus danced in their heads; And mamma in her 'chair, and I in my cap, I took out my bible and laid it on my lap, When I saw through the window, just a small star appear I sprang from my chair to see what was so near. Away to the window, I took such a dash, I was faster than superman the hero called flash. The moon was so full as it started to glow, I just knew Jesus come to rescue my soul, When what to my listening ears did they hear, The sound of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As I spun in my head, I never heard such a sound, Down all of a sudden, my feet hit the ground. He was dressed all in gold, His eyes were of fire, And his clothes were all pure with diamond sapphire; A bundle of gifts we have nothing to lack, And he looked like my Lord He held nothing back. His eyes–how they twinkled! his smile, I was undone! His smell was like roses, his face like the sun! His flame from His mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the hair on his head was as white as the snow; The sword of His word he held tight in His teeth, And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath; He had bronze feet and a sash around His waist, His sandals were fitted woven gold laced. He was muscled and tall, He was all of my wealth, And I loved when I saw him, in spite of myself; A twinkle in his eye and a twist of his head Soon gave me to know I was not lying in bed; He spoke many words, and I listened with intent I don't know how but I knew all that He meant. And resting of his hands pictures perfect ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 73. Jacob's Rapture The rapture of the church, will be an event that will attract the attention of the people of Israel. That day will be the end of the Church age and the beginning of the Tribulation. God had put Jacob's offspring in zealous when gave a place into His kingdom to the Gentile–Christian world, because Israel had rejected the Messiah, the own Son of God, (John 1.11–12; Romans 11.11). Thus, the time of Jacob's trouble will be a day, according to the prophet Jeremiah, in which still God deals with the people of Israel, allowing them to feel pain, as the result of His punishment over them. God allowed the suffering over them because they sought to fulfill the law, going behind the works of the law, rather than by faith. Then, Israel will call out to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 75. Andrew Shirley Rapture Symbolism 29 June 2015 – Political Meanings A book about politics can be very boring; that is why many authors use symbols to embed their political views within their texts. An example of this can be found within Bioshock: Rapture by John Shirley. In this book Andrew Ryan, a millionaire, wants to build a new place where he can escape the 'parasite' (he calls the current political leaders parasites) and create his own political system. Shirley stated his views very clearly with this quote, "The parasite hates three things: free markets, free will, and free men" (Shirley). This potentially shows that Shirley does not like the way our government is set up and he believes it restrains people and markets. In the place that Ryan creates, Rapture, a completely ... This commentary between the characters seems somewhat randomly placed in the book (though the boy does ask random things out of the blue) so it must be there for a reason. First, this is the second time that the boy repeated something that he said he heard the man say and the man didn't remember saying it. This could indicate that the man is speaking out loud during his nightmares and the boy listens to what he is saying. This brings up the question: if the man is speaking in his sleep, could he have said something about losing hope or having to kill his son? Second, this commentary addresses the long term goals of the man; the man says that he does not know what his long term goals are. This means that the man does not know if going to the South will be any better for them and if they will even make it there. It could also be foreshadowing their deaths as death would make long term goals ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 77. The Great Tribulation : A Time Of Misery And Persecution... The Great Tribulation has become a hot topic of conversation for many evangelists. Terrorist attacks across the world, deadly war inhabiting our nation 's, pandemic diseases and other natural phenomenon have brought light onto the up and coming subject, the end of times. According to the Bible, the Tribulation is a time of misery and persecution of the followers of Christ. Furthermore, the New Testament uses the word tribulation to signify a time period of distress after the return of Jesus Christ. Nonetheless, during the Great Tribulation, believers believe the Lord will accomplish two important aspects of his holy prophecy. In Daniel 9:24, the following verse reveals the first step of the Lord 's plan "Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place, is to complete the discipline of his nation". Conforming to the following passage the message portrayed is the Lord will complete his discipline on his nation during a time period denoted as the tribulation. According to Revelation 6– 18, the second aspect of the Lord 's plan is revealed. The verses state he will judge the unbelievers that inhabit the sin filled earth. From a biblical point of view unbelievers are people who are classified as those who deny Jesus is God 's son. Unbelievers do not believe in or follow ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
