3. CLASS
The audience that my production is
targeted at would be the upper class.
I have represented class within my
production through my character Quinn, as
he can be seen the be upper class through
the narrative and setting, for example in
scene two you are put into Quinn’s kitchen
which is seen to be quite advanced and big
in size, this shows that its quite expensive
and gives off the impression of wealth.
Also the way Quinn dresses is quite stylish
to also show wealth as he is able to afford
to by the nicer looking clothing.
4. RACE
The race I am targeting this at is
mainly white although it could
conform to all other races, but
the narrative involves characters
of white background.
My main character Quinn is white,
the narrative gives the impression
that Quinn is very in control and
confident by the way he
communicates with his friend
James. This uses the convention
that white people are confident
and in control which you see
being widely used in many films
where they have a white person
as the main character.
5. AGE
• The age of people who would view my production
would be aged 18- 28, 24% of moviegoers.
• The main character in my production is a similar
age, our actor is 18 (me), however the character i
believe is slightly older as we establish by having the
actor grow a bear to add some age to him.
• My production supports the stereotype that young
people are stronger than old people as my character
Quinn was strong enough to kill most of his victims
which where males and also is a young adult and has
done very good for himself on terms of finance which
gives the impression of strength
• My production challenges the stereotype that older
people are smarter than younger people, as my
character Quinn is smart enough to be serial killer
and get away with all of his crimes which makes him
witty and smart.
6. GENDER
My production is very much male friendly
due to the fact that my main character Quinn
who is a homosexual male, and the narrative
follows his life so you are going to be
introduced to a lot of male characters, the
same as if my character was straight you will
be introduced to some females due to
relations in the plot.
I also represent males in a more modern way
due to the fact that my characters dress
quite modern and up to date and also, most
of my characters are homosexual which is
quite a modern thing to incorporate in a film
because its only recently that you see
homosexuals in the media let alone a film
about them.
But my production challenges most
stereotypes of males as being masculine and
strong and instead shows males being flirty
with each other and flamboyant
7. SEXUALITY
Sexuality is quite a big topic in my production. My
production revolves around a lot of homosexuals
which challenges the tradition of most films having
mainly heterosexual characters.
This can be seen through scene 2 where the main
character Quinn is topless while cooking and many
people associate homosexuality with topless males
and in most films where you see a homosexual,
you may see them show more skin that other male
characters to show their openness and confidence.
This confirms that homosexuals are smart and
confident because my character Quinn is really
confident and is shown to be smart because he
gets away with all his crimes.
