2. I was definitely expecting my audience to primarily be male, however, I was surprised at the diversity in gender. I expected film,
to be male dominated, which as proven here, it is in a way, but overall, I now know there is a sizable female audience for film that
I should focus on them as well
3. I know now that my audience is definitely fans of films. The overwhelming response to the extremely often category for the
survey, shows me that my audience are avid film fans that will more likely understand what I write about. The people in the
slightly often category are my casual audience. This gives me the opportunity to show them more about film and make them
hardcore fans of films.
4. As shown here, Most of my audience pirate films in order to watch them. In a age where the internet is extremely accessible,
illegal copies of films can be found online in perfect quality. However, this can be a good thing as it means my audience has easy
access to indie films, which is the type of film I am looking at. It is also shown that Cinemas and Streaming services are popular
aswell. Since they go to the cinema, then they are up to date with the latest films, and a streaming service means people have
access to films if they don’t feel comfortable with piracy.
5. It is slightly worrying that my audience is more interested in freebies than content, and celebrities too. I am making a regional
magazine, this means I wont be able to include good freebies, and wont focus on high profile celebrities as often. I will make the
price cheap as it seems the audience cares about that aswell.
6. These results show me that my audience is more orientated towards Hollywood blockbusters than independent films. However
this gives me the opportunity to show my audience all those films set in the North East, like Get Carter.
7. I now know the age of my audience, which means I can use modern slang words in my writing since it is in one region.
