2. How does your project represent particular social groups?
Our media presents particular social groups through aspects such
as class, gender, age and status. Saint is a very independent
character in a middle class. She represents a strong protagonist
female dominating most the movie, highlighting the contrast in
women’s roles in society today. In terms of her clothing wears very
simple clothing however still has a sense of fashion being a young
woman in her early 20s. Her role portrays women as strong and
able to do tasks that men can do and show the strong nature of
females. Saint also shows how class is of no matter when doing
something for a wider community, even though she struggles at
times for equality, she is always able to help a wider community
despite of her status among others. She does not have a
particularly high status within her area, however it is brought up by
her actions to save the world, making her a huge figure of a
female hero. Overall ‘SAINT’ highlights a young women in her
early 20s, born in a middle class family with a particularly low
status, gradually turning into a national hero of an upper class
group.
3. What kind of media institution might distribute your
media project and why?
The main media institute for our movie would be the British film institute, as well as the American
film institute. Some others include 20th Century Fox, Columbia and Paramount
There are many media institutes that may distribute our media project including:
Film Companies- For the viewing of the full movie.

Magazines- For insights on characters and other backstage information.
Websites- For summaries on the story of the movie and extra information about the movie.
Social networking sites- For the promotion of the movie and involvement of support.
4. How did you attract/address your audience?
We attracted our audience by using a mixture of conventions of an
action/adventure movie into one, to best suit the intended genre. We
used a female protagonists which contrasts the stereotypical
protagonist of a male, to show and create a different image of young
women, compared to most action adventure movies. By doing this it
made our audience think and want to witness something different and
empowering, as well as entertain! Not only will females be attracted to
watching the movie because of this female empowerment factor, but
also males as they will watch due to the fact that there’s a female
protagonist, and due to factors of wanting to see a female role in
action.
