Prologue
Jake Smith– 1100 Hours, August 7th, 2025 / Unknown U.S Military Hideout, Kabul– Afghanistan
It had been two years since I unlisted in the military; after seeing 9/11 as a little boy back in New
York, I felt obligated that I had to put these terrorist scums to rest. I was born and raised in a
patriotic household; so that gave me a sense of encouragement to fight for the country I love. It had
been almost a complete year since I saw my family last; which was exchanging gifts at Christmas. I
just had to think to myself that I was here; fighting because of and for them and other Americans
like them.
"Hey, Smith; quite muttering to yourself and get some sleep while you can. We got drill first thing in
the morning before being the lookouts for the group for a few hours." Sgt.Wolaski whispered. I
realized he was right and put my head down on the rock hard pillow on the cot. It was nowhere near
comfortable but it was better than nothing.
Jake Smith– 0500 Hours, August 8th, 2025 / Unknown U.S Military Hideout, Kabul– Afghanistan
"Marines! Up and at 'em" yelled Col. Matthews. Followed by a loud blow of a whistle. This startled
most of us but we were getting used to it. After all most of us had been here for at least a couple of
months. I put on my uniform, pants and my sand–colored camo cap. We stepped outside of our
tents; the air still dry and crisp. We all formed a line as the Colonel inspected us; making sure none
of us were unprepared for the early morning drill and

Gesture Vocalizer
Microcontroller and Sensors Based Gesture Vocalizer
Abstract: – Gesture Vocalizer is a large scale multi–microcontroller based system being designed to
facilitate the Communication among the dumb, deaf and blind communities and their
communication with the normal people. This system can be dynamically reconfigured to work as a
"smart device". In this paper, microcontroller and sensors based gesture vocalizer is presented.
Gesture vocalizer discussed is basically a data glove and a microcontroller based system. Data glove
can detect almost all the movements of a hand and microcontroller based system converts some
specified movements into human recognizable voice. The data glove is equipped with two types of
sensors: The bend sensors and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a technical issue at this stage of the project that is if we convert the analog output of the
accelerometer, which ranges from 1.5 volts to 3.5 volts to a digital 8–bit output the systems become
very sensitive. Reason is division of 2 volts range into 256 (28 = 256) steps is much more sensitive
than converting 5 volts range into 256 steps. Now the question arises, why do we need a less
sensitive system, the answer if a more sensitive system is used then there is a huge change in the
digital output with the very little tilt of the hand, which is difficult to be handled.
[pic]
Fig. 3: Amplification and Attenuation Circuitry
Solution to this problem is to increase the range of the output of the accelerometer by using an
additional circuitry. This additional circuitry increases the range of the accelerometer from 2 volts
range to 5volts range. The circuitry shown in Fig.3 is used for theamplification and attenuation
purposes. Amplification means amplification of upper range i.e. 3.5 volts to the 5 volts, and the
attenuation means the attenuation of lower range i.e. 1.5 volts to 0 volts.
3.2 Tilt Detection
The basic function of this module is to detect the tilting of the hand and sending some binary data
against meaningful gestures, to the bend detection module. The output, which is obtained from the
accelerometers after amplification, is an analog output. To deal with this analog output, and to make
it useful for the further use, it is required to

functional units. The general performance of the Digital multiplier systems depends on throughput
of the multiplier. The negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS transistor is
under negative bias (Vgs = −Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of a pMOS transistor and falling
the multiplier speed. In the same way, positive bias temperature instability occurs when an nMOS
transistor is under positive bias. Both effects degrade the speed of the transistor and in the long term,
the system may be fail due to timing violations. For that reason, it is required to design reliable
high–performance multipliers. In this paper, we implement an aging–aware multiplier design with a
novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to provide the higher throughput
through the variable latency and can adjust the adaptive hold logic

Application Of Science And Technology
With the constant development of technology over the last few decades, there has been a constant
increase in the demand of services by the human population. This has resulted in increased devotion
of resources in the application of science and technology and hence overall increase in the need of
better gadgets and technology. Over the ages, the increase in demand for the large scale production
has resulted in forcing the manufacturing companies to outsource its intellectual property (IP) to
foreign bodies. The increasing requirement is met, but it is paralleled with the increase in insertions
of Hardware Trojans. These circuits affect the fundamental behavior of the end product in manners
which can degrade their efficiency and also may be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To avoid such attacks the system should be resilient to external Trojan attacks. This paper briefly
discusses the concept and evolutions of Hardware Trojans, followed by their classification and
finally deals with the techniques which are available to detect and counter the actions of Hardware
Trojans. Literature Review The present decade has experienced a rapid growth in the production of
electronic devices. These devices have surely increased the accessibility and comfort but they are
also subject to security issues. The increase in security of such electronic facility has been a
necessity with the introduction of hardware circuits which tamper their behavior. "A Hardware
Trojan is a malicious, undesired, intentional modification of an electronic circuit or design, resulting
in the undesired behaviour of an electronic device when in operation. It is like a back–door that can
be inserted into hardware – a foothold that an adversary can leverage to attack a system" [1]. A
hardware Trojan is considered to be an intentional modification in the physical structure of the IC
which can render the IC to be either functionless or malfunction. Such conditions can result in
disastrous outcomes when it comes to applications of high level security and military usage. A
hardware Trojan can either use the existing signals in an IC and corrupt or alter them, hence
damaging the data and commands and in turn resulting in improper execution of the hardware. It

The Incident Of My Mini Experiment
The incident
My opportunity to practice or implement my mini experiment when I was called in to a meeting
with the General Manager and several other staff. The goal was to review a major situation where
key components were not in stock. Resulting in the business not being able to function correctly
until resolved. My goal in relation to my mini experiment, was to remain engaged in the meeting
and not allow my default routine of mentally withdrawing and shutting down to take place for as
long as possible.
Incident insights
The meeting was heading for a finger pointing session this struck me of the chronically defeated
team (Tyson 2010), and how this leads to poor team performance. This frustrated me as I wanted to
contribute in a positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is holding my breath for a three count, in order to stop my mouth from making comments I
regret. Instead allowing my mind to think of solutions or options to remain actively engaged in the
meeting and not withdraw into myself. When the time came I took the opportunity and employed
the circuit breaker.
Experiment outcomes, the good
The impact this had on the tone of the meeting was noticeable. It became apparent to me the
General Manager was expecting me to behave the way I had previously, having my mini meltdown.
When it became apparent I was not, and able to progress the conversation past the usual point he
appeared to be visible thrown by this. I felt he had already planned the exchange in his mind before
walking into the meeting. This had an unforeseen side effect as the General Manager had lost
control of the meeting and I was now effectively running it. We were able to address the immediate
issue and form action points to move forward. This is an example of me being able to influence in
real time in order to achieve positive goals for myself and others. Somehow I had managed to
remain detached yet engaged (Hughes 2015) resulting in a more productive experience.
Experiment outcomes, the bad
The next steps in the meeting was when I was unsuccessful in delaying my default routine. I
relinquished control of proceedings back to the General Manager. The overriding dynamic of the

August 20, 2013 Abstract
In this discussion we look at some of the history around frame–relay. We then look at some of the
equipment necessary to create the frame relay connections, as well as how the connections work
both logically and physically. Some limiting factors are discussed as well as committed information
rates, burst rates, an error handling. Some of the positive aspects of frame–relay are identified along
with some options for the future of WAN technologies.
Frame–Relay
Operating at the physical and datalink layers of the OSI model, frame relay is a high–performing
WAN protocol. It was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This allows frame–relay to provide a low cost of ownership while adhering to standards and
internetworking with other services. A highly reliable WAN may be achieved through frame–relay
and a good service level agreement (SLA) from the provider.
Frame–relay can be thought of as a simple principle because it allows the higher–level protocols to
deal with many of the problems. Although, it can include optional features such as congestion
notification and signaling mechanisms. Ideally, a committed information rate (CIR) is selected that
best meets the needs of the customer. This is the maximum burst rate, which when exceeded can
cause the frames to be discard eligible (DE). In reality, the nature of frame–relay allows all bits to be
discard eligible, but the error correction is handled by the upper layers. Some configurations allow
speeds to burst above the CIR, but never more than the physical capacity of the circuit. The DLCI is
the connection identifier for the PVC in the connection oriented datalink protocol that is frame–
relay. By switching variable length frames, statistical multiplexing is achieved. Even though frame–
relay may be susceptible to traffic delays it can still be optimized for delay sensitive traffic such as
voice over IP.
Because the frame–relay path is known, it is used to connect the customer premises equipment
(CPE) to the frame–relay switch. The LMI keep alive signaling happens

CHAPTER FOUR: LOW–POWER DESIGN
4.1 Introduction:
In earlier stages of VLSI circuit design the emphasis is on Area and Speed optimization giving
concerns to Packaging and Efficient designing. As the technology scales down according to
predictions of Moor's Law, it is advent that the CMOS dimensions have been scaled down
drastically. But due to increase in use of Portable Devices Such as Cellphones, Laptops, Personal
Health Monitoring systems, there has been a demand of higher battery life for Portable devices.
Whereas big data centers which contains large set of circuits consumes tremendous power and
dissipates large amount of heat which incurs huge cost to maintain. The solution for these problems
is to design circuits which consume low power which give rise to the concept of Low–Power VLSI
designing.

Life Is Adversity
Life is Adversity Everyone faces adversity in some point of their life.Adversity will always make us
stronger. Some ways people overcome adversity are by, Identifying the problem, Facing it and
considering all options. One way people overcome adversity is by identifying the problem. An
example of this is from the (article & video) of Captain Sullenberger landing the plane in the
Hudson River. The text states that Cpt. Sullenberger said that he had a couple minutes to think after
the geese had hit the plane's engine he had to think what he was going to do and he thought where
he was going to land in about 1 minutes and 30 seconds. This clearly supports the point because
Cpt. Sullenberger looks at his surroundings and revised all of his surroundings before landing the
plane or turning the plane around and risking all of those people's lives. An example of how people
overcome adversity is by facing it because Cpt. Sullenberger had to face that he had to land in the
Hudson River to get all of the passengers on that flight.Evidence of this is that in the story in this
piece Cpt. Sullenberger overcomes adversity by helping everyone that was in the plane get out safe
and sound. This shows how they overcome adversity because Cpt Sullenberger had to make an ruff
and quick decision on where to land. One Illustration that demonstrates how people face adversity is
by considering all options. This proves how people face adversity because Cpt. Sullenberger had to

Code Division Multiple Access
INTRODUCTION:
Code division multiple access (CDMA) is a technology which is used for radio communication
purpose. Multiple access technique is a broad area for communication purpose , CDMA is an
example of multiple access technology, through which several number of transmitter can send
information in a single communication channel. In case of CDMA a particular bandwidth can shared
between several number of users. To permit this technique to achieve without undue interference
between users, spread spectrum technology and a special coding scheme are used by CDMA. In
modern era every people want to use things which is smaller in size, can have more functionality
and cost. This can only possible if we can integrate more and more functionality into a single chip
which helps achieve our objective and demand. To achieve this human wanting the scientists have
developed a new concept that is nanotechnology. Nano implies 10^(–9) which is very small . After
nano scale development, the scientists of the semiconductor had faced many challenges. The greater
challenge was how to combine the Intellectual properties(IP) from various sources quickly and
efficiently. These have been overcome by introducing system on chip technology which is very
grooming topic in modern technology. System on chip mostly called as SOC is a best solution of
combining a number on functionality into a single chip. System on chip is called as bus architecture

ACADEMIC STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Fall 2016 In 1965, Gordon Moore, the co–founder of Intel, predicted
that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit will double every two years. Today the
electronics industry is at a critical junction where Moore's law may be slowing down due to scaling
limitations. Engineering innovation is required to fuel the next generation of computing from smart
watches to virtual reality headsets. It is this engineering challenge that compels me to apply for

Argumentative Essay On Virtual Reality
Technology: a broad term that can define anything that aids human's ability to complete tasks or
increase an individual's quality of life. While technology is commonly thought of in a digital sense,
it can be much more than that. All technology, however, has a potential to impact society in some
way, whether significant or minuscule. It can affect many different tracts of our cultures around the
world such as medicine, government, agriculture, science, business, and education. Education could
be the most powerful, however, because of the weight it holds to mold the future generations and
how they will impact all other areas of our economy.
Virtual reality(VR) is a relatively new frontier in the technology industry. So new in fact, that, at its
current stage, what it is and its potentials are unfamiliar to the general public. VR originally started
gaining momentum as a new platform to game on, but its potential must be analyzed broadly in
more than just one vocation. Because of the immersion VR provides, it has an immense capacity to
benefit the educational field. Everyone is unique in the way they learn best; some people learn best
by reading, some people learn audibly better, and, some people learn visually. This paper will
analyze virtual reality to explain what VR is and any drawbacks it may have, how and how much it
is being used in education currently, how it is benefiting disabled learners, who are able to have
access to it, and what a future with VR may look like.

Server Virtualization And Software Virtualization
Server Virtualization Abstract: During past thirty years, the term concept of server virtualization has
invoked in order to allow the large expensive main frame servers to be used and shared among the
different application layered environments from various geographical locations. "Server
Virtualization is a process of portioning the single main server into several server partitions". In
clear terms to state, main server is being used as many number of cloned severs where maximum
programmers/users can access that cloned server in their work area location locally satisfying the
user requirements reducing the cost effectiveness. Availability of hardware in market made
virtualization concept to fade away. In modern era, virtualization at the different levels alike
network, storage and system has gained much more importance in terms of improving the system

The Advantages of Virtual Oscilloscopes
1.INTRODUCTION
Electromagnetic oscillograph was used in early days for analyzing the signals followed by cathode
ray oscilloscopes. This was done for the need of higher bandwidth. Digital storage oscilloscopes are
now widely used because of their high input impedance which allows us to analyze both analog and
digital signals. DSOs are equipped with A/D and D/A converters which help in storing of data in
digital form and displaying it in analog form.
The major drawbacks of using a DSO are its cost and size. It is difficult to move them from place to
place for ease of work. It can be overcome by using a PC as an oscilloscope with software that acts
as the interface. Many works including development of PC based virtual oscilloscopes using
MATLAB has been done. The data acquisition device was fabricated using the analog to digital
converters, control–logic & timing circuitries and the GUI was built using MATLAB software.
Compared to traditional oscilloscopes, Virtual Oscilloscopes have a lot of advantages on the use and
function. The captured waveforms can be stored as data and used for future references. The
accuracy of measurement was also high along with waveform uniformity and stability. The option of
multi–window display mode can be used to control a large number of job sites to monitor working
conditions at the same time.
To reduce the cost of the system, the data acquisition was done using built in sound card of the PC
in place of DAC. This work was done using LABVIEW as

CA3130A and CA3130 are op–amp that combine the advantage of both CMOS and bipolar
transistors. Gate–protected P–channel MOSFET transistor are used in the input circuit to provide
very high–input impedance, very low input current and exceptional speed performance. The use of
P,OS transistor in the input stage results in common mode input voltage capability down to 0.5V
below the negative supply terminal, an important attribute in single–supply application.
The CA3130 series circuit operates at supply voltage ranging from 5V to 16V. They can be phase
compensated with a single external capacitor, and have terminals for adjustment of offset voltage for
application requiring offset null capability

sentence i read while going through a brochure after passing out from my secondary education and
this curiosity pushed me to explore further with on the internet to obtain an information about the
field.
I took an admission for diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, A gained

When designing FPAA designer must consider different...
When designing FPAA designer must consider different approaches available and select the one
most suitable for the application. There are numerous issues to be looked in to before choosing the
architecture of FPAA since FPAA unlike FPGA is far more sensitive to device mismatch, supply
voltage fluctuation, interference and secondary effects etc. This section describes few important
design issues that a designer comes across while attempting to design FPAA.
Discrete time or Continuous time
Discrete time implementation requires sample and hold circuits composed of transistor switches and
capacitors these circuits sample the incoming voltage by opening and closing the switch that
connect and disconnects the input voltage to the capacitors. ... Show more content on

The reduction in number of switches reduces the flexibility so a trade–off between flexibility and
performance must be considered.
Voltage mode or Current mode
Another important question is whether to use voltage mode or current mode approach. A circuit is
completely characterised by its node voltages and branch currents []. If nodal voltages are
considered it leads to voltage mode and if branch currents are the main focus it leads to current
mode circuits.
The voltage mode technique is well developed numerous programmable analog circuits can be
found both in conceptual and commercial platform. The most widely used analog building block is
op–amp which is an integral part of almost every analog circuit. The major advantages of voltage
mode include []:
a. High fan–out
b. Ease of implementation
c. Well researched topic
d.
Apart from these advantages voltage mode circuits are not suitable for high frequency applications
and they are no longer able to comply with the with the scaling of technology and low supply
voltage requirements. The main voltage mode building block op–amp suffers from a constant gain
bandwidth product the puts a major restriction on its frequency response as shown in fig [].
The current mode circuits have gained importance in recent years mainly because of these
advantages []:
a. Simple circuit
b. Constant bandwidth almost

1) Introduction:
Trademark : A trademark is a recognizable insignia, phrase or other symbol that denotes a specific
product or service and legally differentiates it from all other products. It also serves to exclusively
identify a product or service with a specific company, and is a recognition of that company 's
ownership of the brand. Trademarked products are generally considered a form of property. Most
countries have agencies through which businesses can have their products trademarked. One of the
main purposes of having a product trademarked is to protect the product from being used without
permission of the source company. Most countries have patent laws which are designed to protect
against copyright infringement. International copyright regulation is much more complicated, as
there exists no universally recognized patent office.
Patent : A patent is a government license that gives the holder exclusive rights to a process, design
or new invention for a designated period of time. Applications for patents are usually handled by a
government agency. You can use a patent to protect your invention. It gives you the right to take
legal action against anyone who makes, uses, sells or imports it without your permission.
To be granted a patent, your invention must be all of the following:
Something that can be made or used

Part–1 1. What are common carriers, local exchange carriers, and interexchange carriers? A
common carrier is a private company that sells or leases communication services and facilities to the
public. Common carriers are profit–oriented, and their primary products are services for voice and
data transmissions, both over traditional wired circuits as well as cellular services. Common carriers
often supply a broad range of computer–based services, such as the manufacturing and marketing of
specialized communication hardware and software. A common carrier that provides local telephone
services (e.g., BellSouth) is commonly called a local exchange carrier (LEC), while one that
provides long distance services (e.g., MCI) is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, dedicated circuits require more care in network design than switched circuits both in
terms of locations and the amount of capacity you purchase. With packet switched services, the user
again buys a connection into the common carrier cloud. The user pays a fixed fee for the connection
into the network depending upon the type and capacity of the service and is charged for the number
of packets transmitted. 13. Distinguish among T1, T2, T3, and T4 circuits. T1 circuit is sometimes
called a DS–1 circuit. It provides a data rate of 1.544 Mbps. T1 circuits can be used to transmit data,
but often are used to transmit both data and voice. In this case, a time division multiplexer (TDM)
provides 24 64–Kbps circuits. Digitized voice using pulse code modulation (PCM) requires a 64
Kbps circuit so T1 circuit enables 24 simultaneous voice channels. T2 circuit transmits data at a rate
of 6.312 Mbps. Basically; it is a multiplexed bundle of four T1 circuits. T3 circuits allow
transmission at a rate of 44.376 Mbps, although most articles refer to this rate as 45 megabits per
second. This is equal to the capacity of 28 T1 circuits. T3 circuits are becoming popular as the
transmission medium for corporate MANs and WANs because of their higher data rates. At low
speed, these T3 circuits can be used as 672 different 64 Kbps channels or voice channels. A T4

Abstract: Nowadays for each and every designing in VLSI era the power consumption plays a vital
role. Low power has emerged as a principal theme in today's electronics industry. The low power
VLSI design has important role in designing of many electronic design systems. On designing any
combinational or sequential circuits, the power consumption, implementation area, voltage leakage,
and efficiency of the circuit are the important parameters to be considered initially. This paper
proposes a low–power and area–efficient shift register using pulsed latches. The area and power
consumption are reduced by replacing flip–flops with pulsed latches. This method solves the timing
problem between pulsed latches through the use of multiple non–overlap delayed pulsed clock
signals instead of the conventional single pulsed clock signal. The shift register uses a small number
of the pulsed clock signals by grouping the latches to several sub

Design– to design a fully functioning circuit (Parallel or Series) which links all of the components
together, we need to make sure that the wires are concealed to ensure that the car looks aesthetically
pleasing.
Testing– to ensure that the circuit works my group and I will need to run multiple tests, we will also
need to decide whether to use a parallel or a series circuit, we will choose a circuit type based on
how long the battery lasts and which circuit has the most power. We will also need to find the most
suitable places to put the components.
Manufacturing– to be able to manufacture and create the designs we have produced, also each part
of the final product should be fully functional and contribute towards the finished product.
The main desired outcome would be to finish the green powered car with plenty of time to spare so
we can test it and therefore hopefully do well in the race. With all of our teams working together and
everybody doing their part I believe that this is a very possible outcome.

Snow Crash Analysis
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson takes place in a not–so–distant future, but the technology is much
more advanced than modern technology. Virtual reality has taken the world by storm in what's
called the Metaverse, a place where computer users, which is only about 10% of the world at this
point, can be anything they want. Users of the Metaverse can pick an avatar to be and then walk all
around the Metaverse, interacting with other users that are standing in a room halfway across the
world. Stephenson's descriptions of this innovative world are built upon science that is extremely
advanced but still credible. Stephenson illustrates realistic, common technological structures that are
still more futuristic than modern technology to draw the reader into the Metaverse and world of
Snow Crash.
In the Metaverse, Stephenson explains authentic, yet futuristic, technology to the reader to bring the
reader into the book. Neal Stephenson first introduces us to "The Deliverator", who we later find out
is in the Metaverse, as a Mafia worker who has to deliver pizzas in less than half an hour or lose
everything he has. When describing the process of the Deliverator and the advanced pizza boxes he
uses, called "smart boxes", the narrator says, "The pizza box is a plastic carapace now, corrugated
for stiffness, a little LED readout glowing on the side, telling the Deliverator how many trade
imbalance–producing minutes have ticked away since the fateful phone call" (Stephenson 6). This is

Benefits Of Hiring Virtual Employees
The Internet has made working from home a reality for employees and has completely changed the
way businesses operate in the modern world. No longer do business owners have to pay for office
space, they can simply meet with their employees virtually and still get business done.
Hiring virtual employees has proven to be very advantageous for many businesses, helping to cut
down on costs and streamline workflow. By widening the hiring pool from local to global allows
employers to select from a range of of talent.
However, with all of the advantages of allowing employees to work virtually, there is no getting
around the fact that managing them can prove to be challenging. This is not to say that you can't
manage your virtual employees successfully, you just need to have to have the knowledge and tools
to do so.
The following tips will help you be able to transition from a traditional management style to
working with virtual employees quickly and effectively.
Create a sense of community
When all of your employees are working from home and possibly live in different states/countries
and time zones, it is easy for everyone to forget that they are part of a team.
Because your virtual team members don't work in the same location, they may not communicate and
collaborate as much as they need to.
In a virtual environment you can still create a sense of community for your employees by creating
opportunities for team members to "chat" both formally and informally.

The Virtual Intrusion Detection System
The Virtual Intrusion Detection System a traditional IDS is only an element in the security chain
architecture. It does not eliminate the need for protections to prevent attacks. The virtual intrusion
detection system (V–IDS) is a disruptive idea for the security of cloud architecture. Virtual IDS is
software and sometimes hardware that captures cloud network and host activity data in reporting
tools, analyzes the data interactively, provides an automatic reaction (e.g., alarm) during an incident,
and after an incident routes the cloud data to a security channel defined at runtime. Figure 4.2:

In the V–IDS context, the module uses two different methods for analysis: The attack signature
represents the simplest way to analyze IDS data. It is like static packet filtering, which is similar to
the firewall rationale. Anomaly detection (heuristics) represents the most sophisticated technique,
in which heuristic patterns try to detect variations from historically normal operation. 4.6.2 Decision
module The decision module is part of the close chain control system that, using the data which has
arrived from the analysis module, makes decisions about the real time actions necessary to solve
anomalies related to network intrusions. This module implements the logic necessary to analyze
behaviors and makes decisions about the anomalies discovered. 4.6.3 Action module The action
module represents the actuator that solves the intrusion detection situation on a cloud domain.
Merely collecting and analyzing data accomplishes nothing. The V–IDS uses the results from the
analysis in order to manage the cloud infrastructure on the basis of security. Most obviously, it also
generates alarms, reports and queries if the analysis indicates a dangerous condition. 4.6.4
Monitoring module The monitoring module captures (continuously) processed data from previous
events, such as historical intrusion data, login attempts, and so on. Each event is 20 time–stamped

computers instead of the government or large buildings holding them exclusively. According to
Hafner, the Internet grew more and more popular as people discovered its use. It became the next

Information Flowing Through The Bla-To-Pl Projection May
Information flowing through the BLA–to–PL projection may be the dominant route for reward
behavior. PL is important for the enhancement in reward–seeking behavior when the deprived

PL is also important for discriminative reward seeking(Sangha et al., 2014). The BLA–PL

During learning, many physiological changes can be found to correlate with behaviors. However
neural correlates that are not part of the dominant circuit may play a modulatory role in affecting
learning rate, or it can have no effect on behavior as they may simply be passive relays from other
structures. Critical structures and their projections are major contributors as the absence of any one
of them will abolish behavior. Dysregulations that abolish behavioral performance must be either
part of or at least influencing critical structures on the circuit. Focusing on circuits that contain only
the necessary components is critical to narrow the search for malfunctioning elements that lead to
downstream changes and cause behavioral impairment. Results from these aims would refine the
current circuit underlying SFRLD. In turn, this information would be vital for electrophysiologically

identifying cellular level abnormalities from critical structures. In order to restore the behavioral
impairment in safety acquisition and reward regulation, treatment for PTSD–AD will need to rescue
dysregulations in the critical structures or pathways.

1) What are the two types of services that the Internet provides to its applications? What are some of
characteristics of each of these services? a) connection–oriented service (TCP) and a connectionless
service (UDP) are twoo types of services. characteristics of the connection–oriented service are:
Two end–systems first handshake before either starts to send application data to the other.
Provides reliable data transfer, i.e., all application data sent by one side of the connection arrives at
the other side of the connection in order and without any gaps. Provides flow control, i.e., it makes
sure that neither end of a connection overwhelms the buffers in the other end of the connection by
sending to many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
TDM advantage over FDM is that it offers bandwidth saving and there is low interference between
the signals that are being multiplexed. 5) What is meant by connection state information in a
virtual–circuit network? What is key distinguishing difference between a tier–1 ISP and a tier–2 IS?
a) connection state information is the information required/maintained by a router to redirect data, to
proper interface, in an active connection.Tier–1 is a network in which only settlement free peers and
customers are serviced. The network operartes pays for none of it's transit. Tier–2 is where the
network operator buys all or some of it's transit from a tier–1 and resells it. A tier–1 ISP connects to
all other tier–1 ISP;a tier–2 connects to only a few of the tier–1 ISP. Also a tier–2 ISP is customer of
one or more tier–1. 6) What is transmission rate of Ethernet LANs? For a given transmission rate,
can each user on the LAN continuously transmit at that rate? a)Ethernet LANs have transmission
rates of 10 Mbps,1 Gbps and 10 Gbps. For an X Mbps Ethernet(where X=10,100,1,000 or 10,000),a
user can continuously transmit at the rate XMbps if that user is the only person sending data. If there
are more than one active use, then each user cannot continuously transmit at X Mbps. 7) What are
some of the physical media that Ethernet can run over? a)Ethernet most commonly runs over
twisted–pair copper wire and thin coaxial

  • 4. Summary : ' The Camp ' Essay Prologue Jake Smith– 1100 Hours, August 7th, 2025 / Unknown U.S Military Hideout, Kabul– Afghanistan It had been two years since I unlisted in the military; after seeing 9/11 as a little boy back in New York, I felt obligated that I had to put these terrorist scums to rest. I was born and raised in a patriotic household; so that gave me a sense of encouragement to fight for the country I love. It had been almost a complete year since I saw my family last; which was exchanging gifts at Christmas. I just had to think to myself that I was here; fighting because of and for them and other Americans like them. "Hey, Smith; quite muttering to yourself and get some sleep while you can. We got drill first thing in the morning before being the lookouts for the group for a few hours." Sgt.Wolaski whispered. I realized he was right and put my head down on the rock hard pillow on the cot. It was nowhere near comfortable but it was better than nothing. Jake Smith– 0500 Hours, August 8th, 2025 / Unknown U.S Military Hideout, Kabul– Afghanistan "Marines! Up and at 'em" yelled Col. Matthews. Followed by a loud blow of a whistle. This startled most of us but we were getting used to it. After all most of us had been here for at least a couple of months. I put on my uniform, pants and my sand–colored camo cap. We stepped outside of our tents; the air still dry and crisp. We all formed a line as the Colonel inspected us; making sure none of us were unprepared for the early morning drill and ... Gesture Vocalizer Microcontroller and Sensors Based Gesture Vocalizer Abstract: – Gesture Vocalizer is a large scale multi–microcontroller based system being designed to facilitate the Communication among the dumb, deaf and blind communities and their communication with the normal people. This system can be dynamically reconfigured to work as a "smart device". In this paper, microcontroller and sensors based gesture vocalizer is presented. Gesture vocalizer discussed is basically a data glove and a microcontroller based system. Data glove can detect almost all the movements of a hand and microcontroller based system converts some specified movements into human recognizable voice. The data glove is equipped with two types of sensors: The bend sensors and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is a technical issue at this stage of the project that is if we convert the analog output of the accelerometer, which ranges from 1.5 volts to 3.5 volts to a digital 8–bit output the systems become very sensitive. Reason is division of 2 volts range into 256 (28 = 256) steps is much more sensitive than converting 5 volts range into 256 steps. Now the question arises, why do we need a less sensitive system, the answer if a more sensitive system is used then there is a huge change in the digital output with the very little tilt of the hand, which is difficult to be handled. [pic] Fig. 3: Amplification and Attenuation Circuitry Solution to this problem is to increase the range of the output of the accelerometer by using an additional circuitry. This additional circuitry increases the range of the accelerometer from 2 volts range to 5volts range. The circuitry shown in Fig.3 is used for theamplification and attenuation purposes. Amplification means amplification of upper range i.e. 3.5 volts to the 5 volts, and the attenuation means the attenuation of lower range i.e. 1.5 volts to 0 volts. 3.2 Tilt Detection The basic function of this module is to detect the tilting of the hand and sending some binary data against meaningful gestures, to the bend detection module. The output, which is obtained from the accelerometers after amplification, is an analog output. To deal with this analog output, and to make it useful for the further use, it is required to ... Design and Analysis of Adaptive Hold Logic based Aging–Aware Reliable Multiplier using Variable Latency K.Naga Aparna1, Mrs. S.Sree Chandra2, Dr.V.S.R Kumari3 1M.Tech Scholar, Dept. of Electronics & Communication, Sri Mittapalli College Of Engineering, Guntur Email: aparna.kancharla1993@gmail.com 2Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electronics & Communication, Sri Mittapalli College Of Engineering, Guntur Email: sreechandra23@gmail.com 3Professor & HOD, Dept. of ECE, Sri Mittapalli College Of Engineering, Guntur, A.P, India Email: vsrk46@gmail.com Abstract: Digital multipliers are along with the majority critical arithmetic functional units. The general performance of the Digital multiplier systems depends on throughput of the multiplier. The negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS transistor is under negative bias (Vgs = −Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of a pMOS transistor and falling the multiplier speed. In the same way, positive bias temperature instability occurs when an nMOS transistor is under positive bias. Both effects degrade the speed of the transistor and in the long term, the system may be fail due to timing violations. For that reason, it is required to design reliable high–performance multipliers. In this paper, we implement an aging–aware multiplier design with a novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to provide the higher throughput through the variable latency and can adjust the adaptive hold logic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To avoid such attacks the system should be resilient to external Trojan attacks. This paper briefly discusses the concept and evolutions of Hardware Trojans, followed by their classification and finally deals with the techniques which are available to detect and counter the actions of Hardware Trojans. Literature Review The present decade has experienced a rapid growth in the production of electronic devices. These devices have surely increased the accessibility and comfort but they are also subject to security issues. The increase in security of such electronic facility has been a necessity with the introduction of hardware circuits which tamper their behavior. "A Hardware Trojan is a malicious, undesired, intentional modification of an electronic circuit or design, resulting in the undesired behaviour of an electronic device when in operation. It is like a back–door that can be inserted into hardware – a foothold that an adversary can leverage to attack a system" [1]. A hardware Trojan is considered to be an intentional modification in the physical structure of the IC which can render the IC to be either functionless or malfunction. Such conditions can result in disastrous outcomes when it comes to applications of high level security and military usage. A hardware Trojan can either use the existing signals in an IC and corrupt or alter them, hence damaging the data and commands and in turn resulting in improper execution of the hardware. This allows frame–relay to provide a low cost of ownership while adhering to standards and internetworking with other services. A highly reliable WAN may be achieved through frame–relay and a good service level agreement (SLA) from the provider. Frame–relay can be thought of as a simple principle because it allows the higher–level protocols to deal with many of the problems. Although, it can include optional features such as congestion notification and signaling mechanisms. Ideally, a committed information rate (CIR) is selected that best meets the needs of the customer. This is the maximum burst rate, which when exceeded can cause the frames to be discard eligible (DE). In reality, the nature of frame–relay allows all bits to be discard eligible, but the error correction is handled by the upper layers. Some configurations allow speeds to burst above the CIR, but never more than the physical capacity of the circuit. The DLCI is the connection identifier for the PVC in the connection oriented datalink protocol that is frame– relay. By switching variable length frames, statistical multiplexing is achieved. Even though frame– relay may be susceptible to traffic delays it can still be optimized for delay sensitive traffic such as voice over IP. Because the frame–relay path is known, it is used to connect the customer premises equipment (CPE) to the frame–relay switch. The LMI keep alive signaling happens

One way people overcome adversity is by identifying the problem. An example of this is from the (article & video) of Captain Sullenberger landing the plane in the Hudson River. The text states that Cpt. Sullenberger said that he had a couple minutes to think after the geese had hit the plane's engine he had to think what he was going to do and he thought where he was going to land in about 1 minutes and 30 seconds. This clearly supports the point because Cpt. This was done for the need of higher bandwidth. Digital storage oscilloscopes are now widely used because of their high input impedance which allows us to analyze both analog and digital signals. DSOs are equipped with A/D and D/A converters which help in storing of data in digital form and displaying it in analog form. The major drawbacks of using a DSO are its cost and size. It is difficult to move them from place to place for ease of work. It can be overcome by using a PC as an oscilloscope with software that acts as the interface. Many works including development of PC based virtual oscilloscopes using MATLAB has been done. The data acquisition device was fabricated using the analog to digital converters, control–logic & timing circuitries and the GUI was built using MATLAB software. Compared to traditional oscilloscopes, Virtual Oscilloscopes have a lot of advantages on the use and function. The captured waveforms can be stored as data and used for future references. The accuracy of measurement was also high along with waveform uniformity and stability. The option of multi–window display mode can be used to control a large number of job sites to monitor working conditions at the same time. Low power has emerged as a principal theme in today's electronics industry. The low power VLSI design has important role in designing of many electronic design systems. On designing any combinational or sequential circuits, the power consumption, implementation area, voltage leakage, and efficiency of the circuit are the important parameters to be considered initially. This paper proposes a low–power and area–efficient shift register using pulsed latches. The area and power consumption are reduced by replacing flip–flops with pulsed latches. This method solves the timing problem between pulsed latches through the use of multiple non–overlap delayed pulsed clock signals instead of the conventional single pulsed clock signal. The shift register uses a small number of the pulsed clock signals by grouping the latches to several sub ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. Snow Crash Analysis Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson takes place in a not–so–distant future, but the technology is much more advanced than modern technology. Virtual reality has taken the world by storm in what's called the Metaverse, a place where computer users, which is only about 10% of the world at this point, can be anything they want. Users of the Metaverse can pick an avatar to be and then walk all around the Metaverse, interacting with other users that are standing in a room halfway across the world. Stephenson's descriptions of this innovative world are built upon science that is extremely advanced but still credible. Stephenson illustrates realistic, common technological structures that are still more futuristic than modern technology to draw the reader into the Metaverse and world of Snow Crash. In the Metaverse, Stephenson explains authentic, yet futuristic, technology to the reader to bring the reader into the book. Neal Stephenson first introduces us to "The Deliverator", who we later find out is in the Metaverse, as a Mafia worker who has to deliver pizzas in less than half an hour or lose everything he has. When describing the process of the Deliverator and the advanced pizza boxes he uses, called "smart boxes", the narrator says, "The pizza box is a plastic carapace now, corrugated for stiffness, a little LED readout glowing on the side, telling the Deliverator how many trade imbalance–producing minutes have ticked away since the fateful phone call" (Stephenson 6). • 33. Benefits Of Hiring Virtual Employees The Internet has made working from home a reality for employees and has completely changed the way businesses operate in the modern world. No longer do business owners have to pay for office space, they can simply meet with their employees virtually and still get business done. Hiring virtual employees has proven to be very advantageous for many businesses, helping to cut down on costs and streamline workflow. By widening the hiring pool from local to global allows employers to select from a range of of talent. However, with all of the advantages of allowing employees to work virtually, there is no getting around the fact that managing them can prove to be challenging. This is not to say that you can't manage your virtual employees successfully, you just need to have to have the knowledge and tools to do so. The following tips will help you be able to transition from a traditional management style to working with virtual employees quickly and effectively. Create a sense of community When all of your employees are working from home and possibly live in different states/countries and time zones, it is easy for everyone to forget that they are part of a team. Because your virtual team members don't work in the same location, they may not communicate and collaborate as much as they need to. In a virtual environment you can still create a sense of community for your employees by creating opportunities for team members to "chat" both formally and informally. Some great ... It does not eliminate the need for protections to prevent attacks. The virtual intrusion detection system (V–IDS) is a disruptive idea for the security of cloud architecture. Virtual IDS is software and sometimes hardware that captures cloud network and host activity data in reporting tools, analyzes the data interactively, provides an automatic reaction (e.g., alarm) during an incident, and after an incident routes the cloud data to a security channel defined at runtime. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the V–IDS context, the module uses two different methods for analysis: The attack signature represents the simplest way to analyze IDS data. It is like static packet filtering, which is similar to the firewall rationale. Anomaly detection (heuristics) represents the most sophisticated technique, in which heuristic patterns try to detect variations from historically normal operation. 4.6.2 Decision module The decision module is part of the close chain control system that, using the data which has arrived from the analysis module, makes decisions about the real time actions necessary to solve anomalies related to network intrusions. This module implements the logic necessary to analyze behaviors and makes decisions about the anomalies discovered. 4.6.3 Action module The action module represents the actuator that solves the intrusion detection situation on a cloud domain. Merely collecting and analyzing data accomplishes nothing. The V–IDS uses the results from the analysis in order to manage the cloud infrastructure on the basis of security. Most obviously, it also generates alarms, reports and queries if the analysis indicates a dangerous condition. 4.6.4 Monitoring module The monitoring module captures (continuously) processed data from previous events, such as historical intrusion data, login attempts, and so on. However neural correlates that are not part of the dominant circuit may play a modulatory role in affecting learning rate, or it can have no effect on behavior as they may simply be passive relays from other structures. Critical structures and their projections are major contributors as the absence of any one of them will abolish behavior. Dysregulations that abolish behavioral performance must be either part of or at least influencing critical structures on the circuit. Focusing on circuits that contain only the necessary components is critical to narrow the search for malfunctioning elements that lead to downstream changes and cause behavioral impairment. Results from these aims would refine the current circuit underlying SFRLD.
