2. It is important to maintain continuity throughout our three media products as they will be released as a
promotional package and it should be obvious to the viewer that the are all promoting the same film.
3. Most films will follow a particular house style that will include the font, colour style, characters,
costume and sets that are all featured in the whole film package. This makes it easier for the audience
to identify the film as they can become familiar with its theme. A good example of this is the Matrix,
which constantly uses the colour green as the trailer and movie both have a green tint, the poster
follows the same colour scheme. This gives it a defining look as it makes it recognisable to any fan of
this genre of movie.
4. However in our trailer the only aspects that is seen both the main and ancillary task is the style of font
and the ‘A’ being a different colour to the rest of the writing, also the costumes that our actors are
wearing on our magazine and poster are featured in our trailer. We have shown our key atmospheres
that our visible in our trailer on our poster and magazine by what colour scheme we have used.
Our main protagonist (Yasmine) is featured on our poster and magazine, Our leading character
Frances, is only shown on our magazine. This was done to reduce the amount of information about her
being given away before watching the trailer. On our poster we have used five different photos to
make up one photo. The eye and lips are Yasmine and the baseball bat photos are Frances and on top
of these photos is a lowered capacity photo of Frances with an off putting smile,. These photos show
the contrast in emotions that Yasmine and Frances are portraying which entices the audience to want
to find out why a range of different emotions have been shown.
5. As part of out promotional package we included the website ‘www.FRANCESTHEMOVIE.co.uk. Adding
this feature to our magazine and poster allows the audience to have access to more information about
the film. The trailer will be featured on the website, this allows the viewer to access another part of the
package.
The caption ‘A joke gone wrong’ on our poster adds to the bullying aspect of our storyline, this allows
someone who has not seen the trailer to automatically assume that it has some relativity to bullying.
