Staff questionnaire analysis (quantitive)
1. Staff Questionnaire Analysis.
(Quantitive)
For part of the unit we had to go around to teachers to give them a questionnaire
which would be filled in to give us some more information about what the sculpture
should where, where should it be located and more things.
For question one: Do you feel that Cranford Community College is wasting a lot of
energy?
From the results we found out that from the twelve people we were able to ask 11/12
people thought Cranford was wasting energy which did not need to be wasted.
Where 1/12 people thought Cranford was not wasting energy.
The second question was which environmentally friendly sculpture would you like
to see around the school?
The results we got from this questions was that 4/12 people would prefer to see the
energy wasting fountain but also drawn with this result was the on/off light bulb
with 4/12 people. But there are still four people to vote and they choose 2/12 people
wanted the sculpture earth problem and 2/12 people wanted all the ideas joined
together. So overall to create the sculpture we are going to join the energy wasting
fountain and the on/off light bulb.

2. We then asked them the question which materials would you prefers to see the
sculpture made out of?
From the results we can see that 7/12 people preferred that all the materials that
were suggested to be used in the sculpture. The materials that were suggested were
cans, boxes, glass, paper and metal.
The Forth question we asked was about where the sculpture when finished should be
located. The options we gave were: at the front of the school, in the main office and
somewhere on the playground or concourse. When we got the results I counted them
up and found out that the people we asked they would prefer the sculpture to be
located at the front of the school. This got voted 5/12. So if we did put the sculpture
there we would have to consider the materials the sculpture will be made out of.
The fifth question we asked was did you know whether there were other sculptures
around the school?
From the results we were surprised to see that 10/12 people knew that there were
other sculpture but 2/12 people did not know anything about other sculptures
around the school. We asked this question just to get an idea about people’s
knowledge of sculptures around the school.

3. The second to last question we asked was what size should the sculpture be?
We gave three options, and only one could be picked. Large, medium and small.
Because it is a sculpture most people obviously choose for the sculpture to be large.
8/12 people actually choose for the sculpture to be large. 4/12 people said the
sculpture should be about medium sized and no people wanted the sculpture to be
small.
The final question we asked was about what colours the sculpture should be. We
gave four options and they were bright colours, light colours, more prime colours
and colours with sparkles. 7/12 people said the colours should be bright colours.
1/12 people said the colours should be light. 2/12 people said the colours should be
Prime colours. And finally 2/12 people said that the colours should be with
sparkles. So overall bright colours were the most popular.
