1. Photography dates The dates of my photography will vary,
depending on when I have time and what the
photo will be used for, they will always be
taken on the weekends or out of school hours.
The dates will be taken in this October half
term, so 24th of October to the 31st is the dates
for half term.
Locations The locations will be at march, at different
locations and will depend on what type of
image I am doing, so if I am doing the front
cover I may do it in a house against a white
wall so it has a plain background. I will also be
shooting in march’s parks and they offer a
wide range of scenery.
props I will being using a wide range of props such as
glasses, hats, coats and a range of musical
instruments. Some of the instruments are a
bass guitar, a drum set and sticks, and a
normal acoustic guitar.
Costumes I will use a variety of dark clothing, including
shirts, and jeans. I will try and keep to the
styling of the genre and will research into the
current styles. It could also include face paint
such as black eye liner and hair gel to
emphasise rock.
personnel In my photography I will use shots of me and
some of my colleagues at school, but to make
sure my photos are creative, I will do them out
of school, for a range of backgrounds. A few of
my colleagues are in a band which I could play
to my advantage by shooting them in the
proper clothing.
Equipment I will need a camera, of decent quality, the
more mega pixels the better, I can supply the
camera myself. I will also need a tripod to
keep the shot steady.

2. Photography dates This will be the same dates as my first photo as I
will try and get all of the photos done within a
couple of days. So from the 24th to the 31st.
Locations These photos will be shot at a variety of locations
including my house (in my garden) and in march.
They locations are perfect as they offer a variety
of different lighting options and scenery.
Props For the contents page, I may uses less props
because they will most likely be thumb nails and
there will only be one big main image. For this one
I will again use musical instruments to emphasis
the music side of the magazine.
costumes I will use the types of clothing that are similar or
the same to the front cover this will keep it all
related, I will also use face paint to make the
expressions of the faces much more emphasised.
personnel Again I will use the same personnel but they will
look vastly different to the previous image, like
using different make up, lighting and scenery
Equipment I will be using the same equipment as the first
image because I really don’t need any different
equipment.

3. Photography dates
Double page spread will take place within the
dates previously mentioned so the 24th to the 31st
of October.
Locations
Again they will still be at the same locations,
although I would use the additional location of an
abandoned house that is very near where I live, I
think it would create a really good atmosphere,
with its damp surroundings and smashed
windows.
Props
On this piece I will use the most detailed props as
it will be in the main article and will take up half
of the page. The props will include certain
jewellery and defiantly musical instruments. I will
also include subtle things such as something in
the scenery that will make it seem out of the
ordinary.
costumes
For the main shot of the double page spread I will
use a trench coat and hopefully some old clothes
to make it seem like music is more important that
their appearance or “music is life”.
personnel
I will use my family members to both take the
shots and to have a part in them, I will also use
the pre-mentioned people such as my colleagues
from school.
Equipment I will need all of the same equipment as well as a
light for the abandoned house scene as it will
probably be dark.

Shot types and/or angles:
I am hoping to use a variety of shots for my photos, of course this will greatly depend on the page I
am working on e.g. double page spread, contents page.
So for the front cover I am going to use a long shot or a medium close up, the model will be facing
the camera directly, the audience will be drawn to it, like it is addressing them, this will give my
magazine a personal touch.
For the contents page I am going to be working with smaller images so I really want them to be
focused on the facial expressions and their mood. The shot again will either be a medium shot or a
close up, this will also make the reader more interested in what the magazine is trying to tell them.
Finally the double page spread has the largest, most detailed image on it so I want to make the
picture the most dramatic. I would like to use a shot from the floor as it makes the model seem
more powerful and influential and that’s what I need, an influence over the audience. I want the
body language to be dramatic but at the same time I want it to have a little bit of mystery.
4. Body language should be negative because it a rock magazine, I want the audience to feel
threatened by the magazine. This means there posture will be slightly slouched and their face will be
unhappy. Mise en scene will be musical instruments as well as a various selection of jewellery, I am
trying to keep within the colour scheme of my magazine, so the guitars and drums sets will be in
black and reds.
