Louis Angus is planning a Halloween themed magazine cover featuring a model with minimal special effects makeup to look scratched, while still wearing colorful, contemporary clothing. The contents page will feature images of bright accessories and makeup with a competition button. A double page spread will include a photo of the model either playing guitar or singing to portray a musical theme.

Task Twelve – Photography Plan
Front Cover
As my magazine will be Halloween themed, the image on the cover with show this. The girl on my
cover will still have a pop artist image with hints that suggest a spooky feel. I will achieve this by my
model having special effects makeup to look like scratches. Although, these will be minimal so they
still appeal to a younger audience and too keep the feel of a pop music magazine. I will edit my
image to dull the colours out and make it look scary to fit in with the Halloween theme. I will make
up for the lack of brightness by using bright text and bold colours. My model will be wearing
contemporary, colourful clothes to fit in with the pop genre also.

Double Page Spread
I will either use an image of my model sitting playing a guitar or standing up singing. This is
conventional as it is a music magazine. Having an artist being photographed while they are
performing it makes it more interesting for the reader.
