2. This font represents aggression and violence. The use of bold
large writing appeals to the punk/rock audience, which then
becomes a code and convention for a music
magazine, because of the attraction the bold aggressive
writing holds for the audience.
The specific font style represents loudness and the specific
rock genre; it does this through the editing of the cracks on
the front which look like shattered glass. This can again
connote violence and aggression through the same reasons as
above.
3. This main image represents him
as a high up figure in the rock
genre, through the use of high
angle shots making him look
strong and creating the angle of
the audience looking up at
him, connoting him as being
powerful.
The use of black clothing
connotes the idea that he’s
aggressive and violent through
the use of dark colours.
The use of instruments used
creating acknowledgment of the
punk/rock genre to the audience.
4. The representation given through the use of
pull quote is bold because of the contrasting
colours.
The actual content represents the artist as
being aggressive and unfriendly as its saying
“he could be your worst enemy” which
creates a convention representations of the
rock genre.
Also the use of the capital letters also signify
the idea of aggression and violence.
5. The use of imagery can also
portray aggression, creating the
representation as violent. This is
shown through the unique worn
horror mask, and the close
up, creating the idea of
dominancy and anger through
the use of eye contact. This
again creates the representation
of rock/punk genre being
aggressive, dominant and even
unapproachable. There use of
colures writing and imagery, all
create the representation they
wont to portray. In order for my
rock/punk genre to be
successful I will make sure I use
all of these conventions.

7. After looking at various magazines covers, I felt it was time to take the
images that I want to go on my creative Tasked work. I made sure they were
conventional and fitted the genre of my music magazine, which is
punk/rock, I did this through the use of colour, facial expressions and the
location. I also used a swearing image to create the aggressive feel of the
punk genre.
Edited version, I tired playing around
with the image to create a cool punk
rock imager. I’m not sure if I will be
using this edited yet.
