Lots of sport athletes have become vegan to help the cause and some have been
vegan their entire lives and have benefited because of this. They have been
better than the competition and there reason for it is because they are vegan.
Mike Tyson was a vegan and it changed his life and turned his life around. Mike
Tyson ended up taking drugs and if it weren’t for him becoming a vegan
someone that was a sport icon would turn into a drug addict that would be
forgotten about and would be remembered because of these life choices and not
his boxing career. Mike Tyson was in rehab for the drugs and alcohol problems
but the choice of becoming vegan made his life a lot better and it started by him
seeing his wife changing her food diet. His wife became vegan and that turned
mike Tyson to a vegan. He also did this so he could become clean and healthier
like he was like in his prime. Mike nearly died because of the drugs effected his
body which nearly led to his death but due to the fact of him becoming vegan he
changed his life by coming vegan as all of his problems disappeared he lost his
arthritis and became clean. He became the Mike Tyson that everybody knew
before starting drugs and going to rehab. Mike Tyson to stay vegan he would do
a morning routine that would keep him vegan, this routine has led to him losing
lots of fat of his body and he has the body that he use to had. He has given up
being vegan but has kept a routine to stay fit and healthy. But he believes that
becoming vegan was the thing that saved his life. Without this change he
believed he would of died to his addiction.
Another sport athlete that life has changed due to becoming a vegan Is Nate Diaz.
He is a UFC fighter that is vegan along with his brother who is also vegan. He
believes that this made him a better fighter. An example that he gave was when
he beat Connor McGregor. This is because he was not Nate Diaz was only given
11 days to prepare for the match and he was a very big underdog but ended up
with the win. He has been vegan since he was 18 years old and because of him
being successful being a vegan fighter a lot of people have followed and also
become vegan and seen a difference in there matches as it makes them faster and
more intelligent in there decisions when making them in the octagon. Jus t like
the Mike Tyson story it changed his life and made a big impact on him but in a
different way it made him a better competitor whereas to Mike Tyson story of
saving his life. The first person in UFC to go vegan was Mac Danzig and he had a
lot of success, which could be the reason why a lot, more people are doing it.
Nate believes that more fighters should be vegan but says that if they are not
vegan it gives him a bit of an advantage when fighting. Not only the male fighters
are vegan to it as also started to happen with females within UFC as Colleen
Schneider has become vegan and has been for 30 years. Nate Diaz believes that
you don’t need to eat a meat based diet to have to be strong and healthy you can
have a plant based diet and just be the same it may mean you have to work
harder for it but it is doable if you try to do it. In the next couple of years the
number of fighters are expected to increase to a point where it is not a weird
thing to be a vegan in the UFC. A way that becoming vegan changed his life would
be that it made him more determined to win in his matches and made him
determined to becoming a champion and proving that you can still achieve
anything by being vegan and it doesn’t limit you at all.
Forest Green Rovers a football team have completed turned vegan and they have
benefited from It they have changed what the players and what the fans eat at
the stadium and they are the first club to do this but in the future a big team
could do this and more team could catch on with this. The problem with the club
going vegan is that it won’t catch on that possible and become a big thing, as the
team are a small team and not really none around the world. But if a big team
came along and decided to do this what was started by this team could become
the next big thing in football. This all started because of the chairman, as he is
vegan and wanted to change the club to be like him and follow in his footsteps
and become vegan. It took a while to be able to do as it started by them taking
burgers of the menu for fans and players and made more vegetarian options. But
then made the small jump according to the chairman to a vegan club. The
chairman is looking to change a lot of people opinions on vegans and maybe
change people into vegans. They have made the transition because of the world
health organisation releasing a statement, which was about meat, and how
eating it could give you cancer and with this reason the club went completely
vegan. He says that meat is bad and that a plant-based diet is good for your
health and will stop you getting cancer. He is not only trying to save animals but
also help the environment and look out for people health with the change
stopping his fans and players from the chance of getting cancer. He has also got
solar panels and has a organic pitch to help the environment. The team are
looking also to have a technology centre for people to go to find out about
veganism and other things. You can also have school trips to this centre as well
as get married if you choose. It will allow you to get an insight into veganism.
The final sports player would be the NFL player who became vegan and
maintained a weight of 300 pounds so that he could play in the NFL. David carter
was just short of 300 pounds and was working back up to it for the upcoming
season. But with the products he was eating it was putting him in pain. He was
battling tendonitis and three fingers on his hand were numb. He became vegan
when he saw a documentary about it and seeing that what he was eating could
be the reason for his tendonitis. It was so bad that he struggled to get out of the
bath. He was making it worse the more he stayed with the diet he was with. So he
changed to become a vegan and that’s when his life changed. It was hard for
David as he needed to keep the weight of 300 pounds but realised he was losing
weight for eating a vegan diet. Even though he was losing weight he was
becoming faster and was becoming stronger and the pain was disappearing
which was a good thing but because he was losing weight he would be able to
play the position he plays. He made it back up to the weight he needs but it took
a while to do. He had to eat more as in a vegan diet there is not much protein and
that is a key component for him to get the weight he needs so he started eating
five meals a day as well as having multiple smoothie. He has to eat every two
hours otherwise he will start losing weight but he was determined to stay vegan
and keep his weight so he does it although he would love to skip a meal he knows
he cant and seeing teammates just have a quick snack and knowing he has to
have a full meal makes it hard but he sticks to it as it is worth it. He has to eat 1.2
grams of protein a day to keep the weight he has otherwise he will lose weight
which is not what he wants. Carter likes being able to show there is more to
being vegan than celery stalks and he likes to tell people that he is vegan which
surprises people because of his weight and it shows that you can weight a lot and
still be a vegan. Becoming vegan changed carter life a lot as he would have been
in more pain and would have had to stop playing in the NFL but changing a small
thing like becoming vegan it changed his life completely made him a better
player and has made sure that he has no problems anymore like he use to.

  • 1. Lots of sport athletes have become vegan to help the cause and some have been vegan their entire lives and have benefited because of this. They have been better than the competition and there reason for it is because they are vegan. Mike Tyson was a vegan and it changed his life and turned his life around. Mike Tyson ended up taking drugs and if it weren’t for him becoming a vegan someone that was a sport icon would turn into a drug addict that would be forgotten about and would be remembered because of these life choices and not his boxing career. Mike Tyson was in rehab for the drugs and alcohol problems but the choice of becoming vegan made his life a lot better and it started by him seeing his wife changing her food diet. His wife became vegan and that turned mike Tyson to a vegan. He also did this so he could become clean and healthier like he was like in his prime. Mike nearly died because of the drugs effected his body which nearly led to his death but due to the fact of him becoming vegan he changed his life by coming vegan as all of his problems disappeared he lost his arthritis and became clean. He became the Mike Tyson that everybody knew before starting drugs and going to rehab. Mike Tyson to stay vegan he would do a morning routine that would keep him vegan, this routine has led to him losing lots of fat of his body and he has the body that he use to had. He has given up being vegan but has kept a routine to stay fit and healthy. But he believes that becoming vegan was the thing that saved his life. Without this change he believed he would of died to his addiction. Another sport athlete that life has changed due to becoming a vegan Is Nate Diaz. He is a UFC fighter that is vegan along with his brother who is also vegan. He believes that this made him a better fighter. An example that he gave was when he beat Connor McGregor. This is because he was not Nate Diaz was only given 11 days to prepare for the match and he was a very big underdog but ended up with the win. He has been vegan since he was 18 years old and because of him being successful being a vegan fighter a lot of people have followed and also become vegan and seen a difference in there matches as it makes them faster and more intelligent in there decisions when making them in the octagon. Jus t like the Mike Tyson story it changed his life and made a big impact on him but in a different way it made him a better competitor whereas to Mike Tyson story of saving his life. The first person in UFC to go vegan was Mac Danzig and he had a lot of success, which could be the reason why a lot, more people are doing it. Nate believes that more fighters should be vegan but says that if they are not vegan it gives him a bit of an advantage when fighting. Not only the male fighters are vegan to it as also started to happen with females within UFC as Colleen Schneider has become vegan and has been for 30 years. Nate Diaz believes that you don’t need to eat a meat based diet to have to be strong and healthy you can have a plant based diet and just be the same it may mean you have to work harder for it but it is doable if you try to do it. In the next couple of years the number of fighters are expected to increase to a point where it is not a weird thing to be a vegan in the UFC. A way that becoming vegan changed his life would be that it made him more determined to win in his matches and made him determined to becoming a champion and proving that you can still achieve anything by being vegan and it doesn’t limit you at all. Forest Green Rovers a football team have completed turned vegan and they have benefited from It they have changed what the players and what the fans eat at the stadium and they are the first club to do this but in the future a big team

The problem with the club going vegan is that it won’t catch on that possible and become a big thing, as the team are a small team and not really none around the world. But if a big team came along and decided to do this what was started by this team could become the next big thing in football. This all started because of the chairman, as he is vegan and wanted to change the club to be like him and follow in his footsteps and become vegan. It took a while to be able to do as it started by them taking burgers of the menu for fans and players and made more vegetarian options. But then made the small jump according to the chairman to a vegan club. The chairman is looking to change a lot of people opinions on vegans and maybe change people into vegans. They have made the transition because of the world health organisation releasing a statement, which was about meat, and how eating it could give you cancer and with this reason the club went completely vegan. He says that meat is bad and that a plant-based diet is good for your health and will stop you getting cancer. He is not only trying to save animals but also help the environment and look out for people health with the change stopping his fans and players from the chance of getting cancer. He has also got solar panels and has a organic pitch to help the environment. The team are looking also to have a technology centre for people to go to find out about veganism and other things. You can also have school trips to this centre as well as get married if you choose. It will allow you to get an insight into veganism. The final sports player would be the NFL player who became vegan and maintained a weight of 300 pounds so that he could play in the NFL. David carter was just short of 300 pounds and was working back up to it for the upcoming season. But with the products he was eating it was putting him in pain. He was battling tendonitis and three fingers on his hand were numb. He became vegan when he saw a documentary about it and seeing that what he was eating could be the reason for his tendonitis. It was so bad that he struggled to get out of the bath. He was making it worse the more he stayed with the diet he was with. So he changed to become a vegan and that’s when his life changed. It was hard for David as he needed to keep the weight of 300 pounds but realised he was losing weight for eating a vegan diet. Even though he was losing weight he was becoming faster and was becoming stronger and the pain was disappearing which was a good thing but because he was losing weight he would be able to play the position he plays. He made it back up to the weight he needs but it took a while to do. He had to eat more as in a vegan diet there is not much protein and that is a key component for him to get the weight he needs so he started eating five meals a day as well as having multiple smoothie. He has to eat every two hours otherwise he will start losing weight but he was determined to stay vegan and keep his weight so he does it although he would love to skip a meal he knows he cant and seeing teammates just have a quick snack and knowing he has to have a full meal makes it hard but he sticks to it as it is worth it. He has to eat 1.2 grams of protein a day to keep the weight he has otherwise he will lose weight which is not what he wants. Carter likes being able to show there is more to being vegan than celery stalks and he likes to tell people that he is vegan which surprises people because of his weight and it shows that you can weight a lot and still be a vegan. Becoming vegan changed carter life a lot as he would have been in more pain and would have had to stop playing in the NFL but changing a small
  • 3. thing like becoming vegan it changed his life completely made him a better player and has made sure that he has no problems anymore like he use to.
