The American lung association is a company that are trying to help Americans
breathe easier. There main aim is to fight for healthy lungs and healthy air. They
are focused on eliminating tobacco use and other related lung diseases. They
started 112 years ago. In 1904 it was a nationwide organization to fight a single
diseases. Determined to battle what was called the ‘white plague,’ a group of
doctors and concerned citizens formed the first voluntary health agency in
America, the national association for he study and prevention of tuberculosis, later
to become the American lung association. They are funded by donations by people
who want to help with their cause.

The issues American lung association are stopping smoking, to take away the risk
of people getting lung cancer or any diseases that evolve your lungs. There vision
is to free the world from lung disease. The American lung association have a team
called team turquoise which has 46,000 voices strong and growing everyday. They
have put $10 million specifically for lung cancer research with a focus on projects
designed to cure and prevent and relieve suffering associated with lung cancer.
They are making a difference for more than 400,000 Americans currently living
who have been diagnosed with lung cancer. They have helped educate and support
through the lung help line to more than 220,000 people, helping smokers quit and
supporting those impacted by lung disease. 88 cent of every dollar that is donated
goes to the program services, in 2014 they raised $9 million for research seeking
treatments and cures for lung diseases, including asthma, COPD and lung cancer.

our health in a changing climate. They are hoping to beat lung cancer and then
cancer in general. They also do lung force walks which take place across the
country and they raise money to help them beat cancer. They want to improve
the air we breathe so it will not cause or worsen lung cancer. They want to
reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and there families. They want to
get rid of tobacco and tobacco related diseases. Finally accelerate fundraising
and enhance organizational effectiveness to support the urgency of there
mission.
