2. Tripod
We used a tripod to enable stability,
smooth running shots and stills. During
this process I learn't how to set up a
tripod, lengthening legs and how to
attach the camcorder.
iMac
We used an iMac because it contains all the state of the art apps and
tools (Final Cut Pro and Garage Band). The iMac also is a quick and
usefool tool to connect the data off the camcorder. So we took the SD
card out and connected it to the iMac, achieving a smooth process to
reaching all our filmed clips.
HD 1080p Handheld Camcorder
The Canon Legria handheld camcorder was a great
choice for us, compact, light and produces HD quality
films. It has a touch screen allowing us to focus correctly.
It has a screw mount at the bottom allowing us to attach
to a tripod.

3. FINAL CUT PRO
Software
This area is where I learnt
to use special effects and
different fonts for the
titles.
For example transitions,
adding or taking away
colour and
enhancements.
Just stating the
obvious. This is the
viewing screen
which you can
enlarge. I mainly
used the small
screen as it was
easier to switch
from watching and
editing.
This is the timeline; where the most of the editing commence.
Making the lengths of footage to the correct size. Placing effects on
top, layering shots and text.
Drop down with
various tools-
Select, blade and
magnify.
This is where I
became aware
footage was
placed. You can
scroll along and
watch back your
footage so you
can then choose
the correct clips.
4. GARAGE BAND
This is where I
searched for
various
instruments and
also searched for
eery
effects/samples
to suit the thriller
genre.
Instruments compiled here, where you can
alter the volume and even mute an instrument.
This is the
timeline.
You alter clips
here just like in
Final Cut Pro. You
can cut, trim and
loop.
