This document outlines classroom policies and procedures for a math class. It discusses the daily agenda, classroom supplies needed like notebooks and calculators. Activity Day followed by a Lesson

7. Calculators
Located in the blue cabinet
Must be put away before you will be
allowed to leave
Only tool that can be used on quizzes and
tests – NO PHONES or CHROMEBOOKS
8. Cell Phones
Put them on the corner of your desk
Make sure they are turned to silent
You may use them on assignments
You may NOT use them on quizzes or
tests
9. Bell Work
Every day you will have a bell work problem to
answer in your notebook.
Expectation is that you give your best effort
and are willing to share you results
If you finish early, use this time to get out
your homework from the previous day and be
prepared to discuss/check
10. Class Notes
Students are expected to bring a notebook and
student workbook everyday to class to take
notes in.
All notes should be labeled with the date and
the lesson topic. The notes should be organized
and readable. The vocabulary, instructions and
examples for each day should be included in your
notes.
11. Homework Expectations
At the end of most days, you will be asked to
complete a homework assignment for
independent practice over the skills/concepts
presented.
Failure to Prepare is Preparing to Fail!
Assignments should be done right after the
notes on the same page in the notebook.
If you are absent, you need to take
responsibility and find out what you missed. It
is also your responsibility to complete the
practice assigned.
12. Exit Tickets
Will be given at the conclusion of each
lesson
Work the problems out in your notebook
and then submit answers Socrative
2-3 exit tickets will go in the grade book a
week to let both you and your parents
know where your understanding is
These will not be included in your overall
grade, but are very important.
13. End of class procedures
Ms. Mangum or Mr. Weldon will dismiss
you.
Remain seated and working the whole
time
All calculators must be returned
8th Hour make sure trash is pick up and
desks are back in order
15. Quizzes
You will have quizzes throughout the
units that will be announced.
The quizzes are feedback for you to
know what you know and what you still
need to learn.
The quizzes will be entered into the
grade book.
They will not affect your grade.
16. Assessments
Graded on an A,B,C,D,Il,I scale
Students are allowed to retake a unit test
First retake will be done in class after a
relearning opportunity
You only have to retake the standard that you
did not master
The front page of every assessment will have
a table section numbers and title, I can
statements, mastered and not mastered – You
are expected to fill this out and take with you
for review.
Test will be included in your final grade
17. How do you earn an A?
You must show mastery on every test
Earn an A on at least one test throughout the
trimester
There will be a page of A work questions on
every test

you want to pay $10 to have it rebound at the end
of the year.

Don’t write in it.
Take care of it.
Be careful with how you put it in your locker.
