Editor's Notes
Can anyone tell me what this is?
Can anyone tell me what these are? Endorsements, what you are certified to teach. A podiatrist can not perform eye surgery. Someone who is endorsed in English can not teach Chemistry.
Think pre-law, pre-med. This is a regulated profession and not everyone with a bachelor’s degree can enter the courtroom, emergency room and CLASSROOM.
Law school, med school, and teacher prep programs.
This license has to be recertified every 5 years!!
Raise your hand if I call on your interest…feel free to raise your hand twice. Anyone not see what your are looking for on this list?

Endorsements can double and triple count w/ gen ed and major if selected carefully
Breakdown ENGH 12 cr.
All state approved teacher prep programs will include a student teaching experience. Sometimes referred to as internship, clinical experience or simply student teaching.
This will consist of being in the classroom for 40 hours a week. Staff in our college will match you with a school and teacher and the internship will be either a semester long or year long (Elementary).

Arne Duncan is the United States Secretary of Education. And guess what -- he’s coming to campus on April 14 and really wants to meet with students like you.
It’s going to be a small-ish gathering in the upstairs lobby of the Center for the Arts here on the Fairfax campus. It’s a great opportunity to meet a cabinet secretary (put it on your resume!).
We’re pleased to be hosting the Secretary with our friends at Teach.org. Find out more at this website – cehd.gmu.edu/makemore. We’ll also email you information about it soon.
