Participation Grade <ul><li>Each six weeks, you begin with a grade of 100/A+! </li></ul><ul><li>10 pts deducted each time you come to class without your binder, book, pencil, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Points also deducted for sleeping, gum chewing, and other minor infractions. </li></ul><ul><li>EASY A!!!!!!!! </li></ul>
  6. 6. Grading <ul><li>Tests: 100 points </li></ul><ul><li>Participation: 100 points </li></ul><ul><li>Projects: 100 points </li></ul><ul><li>Homework: 10 points </li></ul><ul><li>Quizzes and other miscellaneous assignments: vary </li></ul>

Bonus Work <ul><li>Current Events </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Worth 3 points. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>May turn in 1 a week for a total of 18 points per six weeks. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Must share with the class and tell how the event relates to science. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Other bonus activities may be given on tests or Edline at the teacher’s discretion. </li></ul>

Tests <ul><li>Tests usually include a variety of problems: multiple choice, T/F, completion, open response, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>5 points deducted for no name. </li></ul><ul><li>If absent on the day of the test, test must be completed upon your return. A zero will be put in Grade-quick until the assignment is made up. </li></ul><ul><li>Cheating WILL result in the grade of zero. </li></ul>

Projects <ul><li>On average we will complete a project a six weeks. </li></ul><ul><li>This is usually worth 100 points unless you are otherwise notified. </li></ul><ul><li>Must be turned in on due date. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>10 points will be deducted for every day a project is late. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>After 5 days, the student will receive a zero. </li></ul></ul>
  10. 10. Classroom Rules <ul><li>ALWAYS be prepared for class! </li></ul><ul><li>Be in your assigned seat and ready to work when the tardy bell rings. </li></ul><ul><li>Speak when it is your turn. LISTEN when it is not. </li></ul><ul><li>Respect yourself, others, and all school property. </li></ul><ul><li>Complete class work and missed work on time! </li></ul>
