Level 3 Proficiency: Perspective
Use perspective to create humorous effects with the camera.
Step 1: Example
This man appears to be kicking this monument…perspective creates this illusion. It is up to you to decide how to
position the camera and subject relatively to create this effect 
Step 2: Using Your Shooting Skills
 Shoot the following using perspective making sure that your partner is close to you but the OBJECT of the
action is several feet away. This gives the illusion that the partner and object are right near one another,
but not really.
 You could shoot in Manual OR Av to create DEEP DEPTH OF FIELD. It does not help to have one part of the
photo out of focus. If you set to Av, use around F22 or higher. You may need to decrease shutter speed
and/or use a tripod to get the desired effect. You must also MANUALLY FOCUS this to get all objects in
focus.
1. Partner holding an object
2. Partner standing on an object
3. Partner sitting on an object
4. Partner kicking an object
5. Partner eating an object
6. Partner “hi-fiving” an object
7. Partner kissing an object
8. Your choice
9. Your choice
10. Your choice
Step 3: Grading – put photos in order and batch rename to conference for grade
