This document contains information about the organizational structure and strategies of McDonald's Malaysia. It includes:

2) McDonald's mission to be a favorite place for customers to eat and their vision to make customers enjoy their fast food for every visit.
3) An overview of their strategies for products, price, place, and promotion, as well as their focus on customer experiences, community contributions, and developing their people.
4) Details about the responsibilities and approaches of the Purchasing and Human Resources departments in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling their work.
My name is Warren and I am the purchase department manager for McDonald’s Company. I will be going to explain the management function of my department in terms of planning, organising, leading and controlling
In planning, I will make sure that all my subordinate in my department had the clear vision with our goal, establish strategy and forecast the potential problem that may occur.
In the purchase department, I think that the most important part is to make sure the quality of the raw material for our product such as burger bread, meat, potato, vegetable, drinks and others. Moreover, we strive to minimize the cost of purchase in order to increase the total net profit. We will search for the best quality and negotiate the price. For the example of the problem such as natural disaster, it may cause the raw material to be decrease due to damages of the natural disaster. This affect the purchase department when there is a shortage of raw material. We will make a plan B to cover our purchases to prevent shortage in raw material.
Next is the stage of organising, in this stage I will make a task allocation. The task will be separated into 4 different responsibility which is update the market price, e-procurement system, identify the potential problem and raw material quality analysis. Market price change when the supply and demand changes to ensure that we are taking the most reasonable price of the raw material. E-procurement system is the system that we purchase raw material online, we needs to always have a good connection with the supplier to maintain the supply. Problem always occur, we needs to have a control with it. Problem includes good problem and bad problem. Raw material quality analysis is a very important part. We need to make sure that the product is always fresh and in good condition. We also need to have a great knowledge of the raw material such as how fresh meat looks like. These 4 responsibility will be distribute to 4 subordinate.
Third is leading, in this stage I will be in more informal way to sustain it. I will always have a good relationship with them and treat them more as a friend than just a relationship of manager and subordinate. This is because most of the company subordinate’s motive is for salary and nothing else. I want to have subordinate that really have the spirit to help the company to grow, with this type of subordinate, the company can grow even faster with the great performance of the subordinate. Moreover, with friends subordinate, I will be able to know their problem easily and motivate them, shows caring. I will also act as a mentor with a good self-discipline.
Last stage is controlling, I will make sure that all the work task process is in good condition, make sure that what we does is following our goal and make correction. In the stage of controlling, we also make improvement to make sure that other than sustaining, we are improving at the same time.
