and they are all very different and unique. They don’t all sound the same so there's always something new to

Jake is a very active and outgoing individual who enjoys going out with friends and is passionate
about music. He attends as many gigs and festivals as he can to see his favourite bands seeing The
Courteeners 6 times and seeing many other indie rock bands when they come near him in either
Liverpool or Manchester. He likes to keep up to date with what is happening on the indie rock
scene by following these bands on social media (Instagram, Facebook, twitter, snapchat) and
through music apps like Spotify and iTunes.

Why do you like the indie rock music genre?: “The image that is associated with it is very cool and unique
and a lot of the artists and bands are very unique and special in their own way. The clothing and overall
image is very appealing. Most of the time the songs have a nice meaning or story behind them making
them more interesting and appealing as well as being upbeat and happy.”
Ellie is an active but quite shy individual who loves being with friends and going to gigs and
festivals when she can. She is quite a busy person and does not always have time to go to as
many gigs as she would like to so she likes keeping up to date with the current activities of the
indie rock music genre through social media, music apps and her friends. She is a regular
festival goer and enjoys seeing new bands that she hasn’t listened to before live.
