1. Prof Michel Allé,
Dean of Solvay School Vietnam
Professor and program director at Solvay School
Vietnam.
After having managed R&D projects for the Belgian
government, he had a 13 years activity in Private
Equity investments and Mergers and Acquisitions.
He then became CFO of Brussels Airport and after
that CFO of Belgian Railways. He is still Director of
listed and non listed companies of which Elia, the
electricity Transport System Operator active in
Belgium and Germany.

25 years ago of my first trip in Vietnam
o No cell phone, no Internet, no WhatsApp
o Poor English of most students, no knowledge of basic management principles
o No non-stop flight from/to Europe. 4 flights a day between HAN & SGN
o China car manufacturers produced less than 500.000 cars yearly
Who would have imagined 10 years ago
o Trade “war” US – China ?
o Emergency of climate change crisis ?
o Europe - Vietnam FTA signed ?
o Artificial Intelligence and Soon Autonomous vehicle ?

11. The current Solvay Master programs in Vietnam
• Currently we operate 3 programs in HCMC (in partnership with Open University)
• MBA : 2 years, 16 courses, 91 credits, intake October 19
• MBQPM (Quality Performance) : 18 months, 13 courses, 60 credits, intake October 19
• MMCoM (Marketing & Communication) : 18 months, 13 courses, 60 credits, intake March 20
• One course every 3 / 4 weeks with long term planning
• All Masters have Field Project and Final « 24 hours » challenge
• All diplomas delivered by ULB-Solvay
• Currently no new intake located in Hanoi BUT :
• Special package for students to follow programs in HCMC
• As all courses are well planned in advance
• Fair fixed reimbursement of travel/hotel expenses (200 USD per course)
• If enough students some courses will be given in Hanoi
• Field project and Final challenge in Hanoi
