1. My magazine (RaveUp) will feature a range of various artists that
are current and popular within the genre of electronic dance
music, for example, Disclosure (a garage-house duo consisting of
brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence – known for their single
‘Latch’ which catapulted them into the electronic dance music
industry) will be a featured artist within my magazine front
cover/contents page. Sub Focus, a well established drum and
bass/dubstep artist who is known for songs such as ‘Could This Be
Real’ and ‘Out Of The Blue’ will also be listed/featured within my
magazine aswell as Annie Mac, a current Radio 1 DJ known for
her knowledge when it comes to electronic dance music (she
hosts the 7pm to 9pm slot on Friday evenings; a key slot for dance
music DJs). Other artists which may appear in my magazine
include Netsky (drum and bass), Nero (drum and bass), Julio
Bashmore (house), Chase and Status (drum and bass) and Knife
Party (dubstep). All of these artists were chosen multiple times as
‘favourite artists’/’perfect festival or rave line up’ within the
questionnaires I carried out and so these will be sure to
attract/draw in my target audience.

2. However, the artist RaveUp will have as a feature artist
(who will appear on the front cover, contents page and
double page spread) will be a new, up and coming
drum and bass/garage artist, called ‘JMelody’. His real
name being Justin McCarthy, JMelody is a 27 year old
plumber turned musician who used to mix and create
songs in his spare time, until he uploaded a few songs on
the internet and his career took off from there; hype
about his music spread and now he is a full time musician.
He comes from Bexley in South East London and has
many musical influences such as Andy C, Goldie, DJ Luck
& MC Neat, Zed Bias, MC Skibbadee, DJ Hype, and a
main one being DJ Zinc (he’s inspired by older drum and
bass/garage artists and MC’s).
