Photoshop Narrative
For my Photoshop assignment I took a picture from “The Hunger Games,”
that featured the three main characters from the story, and removed the third
person. This was fairly easy because they were over a black backdrop. First I had to
create a new layer from the background, because the background was locked. I used
the magic wand tool to select the outline of the person I was trying to remove. After
his outline was selected, I used the cut tool, to remove it. This left a “see through,”
hole in my picture. I then used the color selection tool to get the exact color of the
background. I used this color and the paintbrush tool to fill in the background so
that you could not tell a third person had been there. After this was done, I deleted
the locked background that contained the original image, and saved my work.
