3. SCIENTIFIC CONCEPT
Warming is the increase of Earth's
average surface temperature due to emission of
greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide.
One of the causes to the global warming is
combustion that release carbon dioxide and
heat to the atmosphere.
Example of common combustion
happen are deforestation
(burning of wood) and fuel
combustion in vehicle.

Design an experiment to investigate
the effect of combustion to global
warming.
Set up two beakers, one for
treatment (place a candle inside)
and another one as control.
Insert temperature sensor into both
beakers.
Light a candle in the treatment
beaker.
Record and compare the
temperature in both beakers
produce by the combustion for 90
seconds.
Repeat the step 3-5 for carbon
dioxide sensor.

Hybrid car is another environment-friendly way to reduce used of
fuel in vehicles. Picture above shows an example of hybrid car used
electric source to power it up. How the uses of these hybrid cars are
helping to reduce global warming?

Answer:
Hybrid car used electric motor powered by batteries. This combination help
engine to operate more efficient by reduce fuel use. As a result it lets you
reduce carbon emissions which help control global warming. This is
because large proportion of worldwide carbon emission comes from cars
and other vehicles burning fuel. Hybrid cars are more fuel-efficient and,
thus, are able to burn a much smaller amount of fuel to go the same
distance.
12. UNIQUE FEATURES
Students can measure both temperature and carbon
dioxide reading simultaneously.
Temperature sensors are very sensitive toward small
changes compare to regular thermometer.
Accurate readings up to 3 decimal places even though
the temperature changes very fast.
The graphs can be plotted easily and save time.
The software interface is user friendly and easy to handle
by students.
