singing the song and playing the guitar, it contains this type of
content all the way through the video

2. SYMBOLISM: Talks about the issue of loss or losing someone

1. EVOKE EMOTION TO AUDIENCE: This song has a melody to it which can bring emotion to its audience as the lyrics would be able to
carry a message, emotion or meaning to the audience. This is so that the artist can connect to the audience and they feel that they
can relate to each other and communicate to each other too.
2. REPRESENTATION: The artist’s unique selling point for representation is his hair style, the hat he wears and potentially the smart
casual style of his clothing

1. HOW IS IT NARRATIVE: This music video is narrative because
it’s only focus is telling a story and doesn’t attempt to promote
the artist through performance.
1. GENRE: Indie Rock, Blues, Soul
2. SYMBOLISM: Video symbolises the innocence of children and
the counter-typical representation of criminals.
1. EVOKE EMOTION TO AUDIENCE: This song is intentionally focused at evoking emotions and that is one of the main reasons it is a narrative video.
One of the main ways the video does this is through the use of editing as the video is in slow motion which fits the tempo of the music and
therefore makes the song more emotional as the audience has more time to grasp each aspect of the story.
2. REPRESENTATION: Although this video doesn’t promote the artist through performance it does still promote him as he plays one of the main
characters in the video. By doing this, the video represents the artist in a positive light because it shows that he is more invested in his work. This
video also represents children and the counter types of criminals and thereby challenges the social ideology that all criminals are bad.
