Hip Hop is a subculture that originated from the fusion of
African American and Latino American communities
during the 1970s, in New York City, specifically within the
Bronx. While the term is often used to refer to hip hop
music, in its broader sense hip hop culture is
characterized by the four elements of rapping, DJing,
breaking and graffiti.

R&B is a music genre that combines elements of rhythm
and blues, pop, soul, funk and hip hop.

Although the abbreviation "R&B" originates from
traditional rhythm and blues music, today the term R&B is
most often used to describe a style of African-American
music originating after the demise of disco in the 1980s.
Some sources refer to the style as urban contemporary
(the name of the radio format[citation needed] that
plays hip hop and contemporary R&B).

 High interest in r&b and hip hop music.
 Enjoy playing sports such as Basketball or
  Football.
 Metrosexual- care about appearance,
  expensive clothes
 Popular people in their society- always
  with friends.
This image relates to the
genre hip hop because this is
how hip hop artists portray
themselves. They wear
expensive clothes which are
mostly branded. Also wear
high end jewellery to show
their wealth and how good
their lifestyle is.
 Hip hop is currently one of the most popular music genres in
    the world.
 The stereotypes of hip hop created by the media is mostly
negative as it focuses on the violence, drugs and graffiti.
 The lyrics in hip hop songs associate with violence and crime
which is why the media suggest that it is influencing young
people into committing more criminal offences.
 However in music magazines like Vibe it is portrayed as the
best genre of music and it is very up beat.
 In this interview French Montana talks about his
music and private life. He also talks about a
“secret society” which is trending in the music
industry right about now. The interview is very
comical and it explains the origin behind his
    music.
 French Montana explains his verse on Stay
Schemin' and explains the rest of the track,
what will happen if illuminati come knocking,
Kobe on the tour bus who is a famous
basketball player which tells us that hip hop
artists enjoy sports. He also explains what really
    happens on his tour bus.

 In the interview he is wearing branded clothes
and expensive jewellery to show he is of a top
    social class.
 Many people listen to hip hop as it is a well known music
    category.
 The stereotypical person who listens to hip hop African
American Black. However overtime in the USA this has
changed due to hip hop being listened to by 70% of white
    Americans.
 Hip hop music is popular worldwide and has increased since
    it was produced.
 Although people who listen to hip hop are stereotyped, many
other people from different cultures, different sexualities and
different age still listen to hip hop due to its worldwide
    popularity.
 The rate of crime, violence and gang activity has risen over
the last years or so. According to Jophson Institute Statistics
    these are the results:
 Between 1986 and 1992 children killed by firearm has risen by
    144%
 Large cities claim that 72% of their school violence is
    connected to gang activity.
 From 1985 to 1993 , murders commited by people over age
    25 dropped 20% but they increased 65%
