page has to relate to one of the
stories in the magazine. They also
have to be linked to the title of the
story by the page number. This
image does not have the page
number next to which is against the
conventions.
Band Index: this is a specific
thing to this magazine on the
contents page. It gives the
name of the band and where
they will be mentioned in the
magazine. This can lead to
information on the band their
tour dates and other information
about their music.
Advertisement: this is like the cover
mount and is advertising the cheaper
subscription to the magazine so that
people can get it weekly for them
self or buy it as a present for a friend
or family member and keep the
subscription going for as long as
they want.
News & Reviews: this is the section
where it gives the page numbers of all
the major news updates on the bands
that everyone loves and also the
reviews of festivals, concerts and
album releases.
Drop Cap: this is where the first
letter of the article is a massive
capital and drops down about
3-4 lines, it adds emphasis to
the article and also makes it
look fancy.
Language: the language of this
magazine is specific to the
magazine. It uses words that
corresponds the to sub-genre of the
media product. It uses words that the
reader associates with that type of
music and the people who produce
is. A lot of the words used are jargon
and colloquial language.
