MEDIA PRODUCT?
The audience for my media product would be teenagers and
young adults aged 16-24, who have an interest in alternative
rock music. My media product is aimed at people within these
standards who like to enjoy alternative rock without being
stereotyped.
My audience would involve many different people from a vast
variety of cultural backgrounds who all share a similar interest
in alternative rock. This would help to counter the stereotypes
commonly associated with alternative rock and other sub
genres of rock, and would make my magazine unique, which in
turn would appeal to a wider target audience.
The gender of my target audience would be both males and
females, as my magazine is not meant to discriminate between
gender. My target audience would also typically be aimed at the
working and middle classes.
