The intended audience for the media product is British males aged 18-26 who have a keen interest in hip-hop/rap music and hip-hop culture. The magazine will provide news, reviews, and interviews related to hip-hop artists and albums, as well as information on hip-hop fashion trends, to appeal to its target audience. Research identified this demographic as being most interested in the topics and content that will be included in the magazine.

1. Audience for media product
The intended audience for my media product is the young male demographic, aged
approximately 18 - 26. The typical reader of my magazine would be a British as the magazine is
only available in the UK, male , as hip-hop rap is a generally male dominated genre and
features mostly male artists and male related articles aged between 18 - 26 who regularly
listens to hip-hop/rap music and has a keen interest in the genre. The reader wants to keep up
to date with the hip-hop scene with news on new releases, new artists and access to interviews
and album reviews, all of which are elements that the magazine includes. Also, my intended
audience would be interested in the fashion side of hip-hop culture such as streetwear, as this is
a secondary subject of the magazine. In my research and planning this was the audience that I
originally planned the magazine to have in mind and have adhered to when constructing the
magazine.
