Reggae Paper
Reggae, "a generic name for all Jamaican popular music since 1960, is defined as a 'West Indian
style of music with a strongly accented subsidiary beat" (Chang). Reggae music is a great style of
music that was popularized by one of the world's most famous musicians, Bob Marley. Personally, I
never listened to it until I made it to college, and it has quickly become one of my favorite genres.
For that reason is why I chose to write this paper on Reggae music. This genre is a very calming and
relaxing style of music, which helps me when I am trying to focus on doing important tasks such as
homework, including this paper. In this proton of the paper I will be looking into the history of
Reggae music and the development of this particular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this portion of the paper I will be focusing on Bob Marley and give an introduction to who he is,
how he learned his music and how he became famous. On February 6, 1945 in Saint Ann, Jamaica,
Bob Marley was born. His father was a white Englishman and his mother was a black Jamaican.
When Marley was ten years old his father died, and at that point his mother moved him to
Kingston's Trechtown neighborhood. As a teenager in Kingston he became friends with Bunny
Wailer and this is when Marley learned to play music. When Marley was 14 years old he decided to
drop out of school so he could learn the welding trade, and at the same time he spent his spare time
jamming with Bunny and Ska musician Joe Higgs. In 1962 Bob had recorded his first two singles
but neither one of them had received any interest at the time. The following year he began a Ska
band with his friend Bunny and Peter Tosh, which was originally called "The Teenagers". They then
became known as "The Wailing Rudeboys" and after a few more name changes they eventually
came up with simply "The Wailers." In 1964 they came out with their earliest Studio One hit which
was recorded in the popular rock steady style, "Simmer Down." Following that track they came out
with another hit in 1965 that was entitled "Soul Rebel" in which both songs were written by Marley.
In 1966 Marley married Rita Anderson, they had 12 kids together, and after their marriage he spent a

Popular Characters Of Bugs Bunny
Among the most popular and recognisable cartoon characters ever created, Bugs Bunny is that rare
animated creation with a personality so vibrant it's hard to believe he's not real. The question is, why
is the carrot savouring bunny so popular? Bugs Bunny truly is one of the the most popular cartoon
characters ever created; this has not happened by accident. Bugs Bunny has you crying with
laughter, his creators were master craftsman with a very in depth understanding of how to make
animation the best it ever could be and Bugs Bunny videos have been around for a long time and are
everywhere.
Bugs Bunny is the official cartoon star for people who like to cry with laughter! The different levels
complexity within the comedy makes it amusing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example ,Bugs never picks fights and only retaliates if he is provoked. This makes the rabbit
look like a good guy and also more likeable. Also the character which is a bunny is not a scary
animal but one that looks nice. This is very clever as well.
The way the character moves and its expression is worth more than the dialogue. The dialogue is
just a bonus to help the story make more sense. Also the way the creators made things appear to be
real not entirely fairytales is great, because it make more sense to humans and it can relate to daily
life. Creators of the amazing film Bugs Bunny were very clever and this has added to its popularity.
Thirdly, Bugs Bunny videos have been around for over 100 years and are everywhere. The
popularity of Bugs Bunny has a lot to do with how it is publicised. Bugs Bunny is one of the first
videos that has ever come out. Therefore many people are familiar with it. Parents of the 21st
century probably watched this cartoon as well. These parents are now familiar with it this then
means that they will show their kids. This is another valid reason why Bugs Bunny is popular
because it has been around for a long time. Television is a great way to do this. Bugs Bunny has
been shown on TV and many people have watched it. They then love it and decide to buy videos for
their children. Added to this Netflix showing almost every movie has Bugs Bunny. This then makes
it easier for people to

Descriptive Essay About My Chocolate Brother
MY Chocolate Brother
It was right after lunchtime and Dad was so busy chasing down Sarah that he made a mistake. One
that Mom would never make. He told both of us, "If you eat any more chocolate, you 'll turn into
chocolate." Not bright, Dad. Mom would have simply taken the chocolate away.
My little brother didn 't realize what Dad meant was no more chocolate. But what can you expect
from a five–year old? When you get to my age, you can tell better what parents mean when they say
confusing things, but five–year old boys hear only what they want to hear. Or so Mom says.
So Luke did just what Dad didn 't want him to. He took another chocolate bar, a big one, from the
snack bin, opened it and took a huge bite. I figured he 'd get into ... Show more content on

Melt! My little brother is going to melt! I knew I had to do something fast, but what?
I ran to the bottom of the stairs and called up, "Dad?!"
He said back, sort of tired sounding and testy, "Can 't you please take care of it yourself?" He was
obviously having some trouble with Sarah. Maybe she ran off without a diaper or wouldn 't let him
put on her shirt. She does that.
Well, if I had to handle this by myself, I would. Here 's what I did...
I ran to the basement and stuffed him in the cooler, but he SHATTERED INTO WHAT SEEMED
LIKE A MILLION PIECES. WHAT DO I DO?
"Dad...I really need you right now!!!"
"Figure it out Hailey."
UUUUGGGG, he's no help. Well he's chocolate I could just eat him...NO. I have to at least try to fix
him, if I can't, then I'll eat him. I grab some glue and put him back together. With luke in the cooler I
can buy myself more time to find a way to reverse him. I run back upstairs and out the door. I know
we got the chocolate from Luke's favorite candy store down the street. Maybe someone there might
help me. I run out the door almost forgetting my shoes. The store is right where it was before. I

Bugs Bunny Commercial Analysis
Imagine audiences sitting in the movie theater trying to escape from the looming hardships of World
War II. They sit and watch as the commercials begin to play when one of the most familiar tunes in
animation begins. The commercial presents itself deceptively using the classic Looney Tunes curtain
opening and theme music with the simple title of "Bugs Bunny." The only hint at the true purpose of
advertising at this point is the producer listing of the U.S. Treasury Dept. Defense Savings Staff. The
curtains quickly open with an approaching Bugs Bunny miming the fife with his carrot as "The Girl
I Left Behind" plays in the background. This is all set against a redrawing of the classic American
painting "The Spirit of '76." Bugs Bunny then begins to eat the carrot he's been holding, when he
suddenly begins the song "Any Bonds Today?". Suddenly, the purpose of the commercial is finally
revealed to the audience, with Bugs' song telling people to buy war bonds. All throughout this he
gestures, points and moves with an animated flair for the audience. He even exits and reenters frame
with an Uncle Sam costume, eventually beginning to act like he's passing out bonds to the audience.
Until, with an animated twirl Bugs Bunny appears with blackface and a different singing voice, a
parody of the blackface performance Al Jolson did in the movie "The Jazz Singer." Finally, the
picture pulls in close on Bugs' face as he wipes away the paint and once the picture pulls back out
the backdrop has changed. It shows a combat scene full of planes and ships as Elmer Fudd and
Porky Pig appear to help close the advertisement with singing and dancing. As the song ends a
simple war bonds ad pulls into frame. It now presents a Minuteman on the left and texts that reads
"For Defense Buy United States Savings Bonds and Stamps." The commercial relies heavily on its
ethos and pathos to convince the audience into buying war bonds, using very little logos.
Furthermore, ethos is used by the commercial with the use of Bugs Bunny as the appeal for the
audience. At this time in American history Bugs Bunny was one the most famous animated
characters often considered fun for the whole family. Also with most fathers gone off to fight in the

Research Paper On Bunny Breeding
. but the logistics are much more complex when it comes to bunny breeding. There are signs and tell
alls that many people are blind to. Oddly enough.. more often than not, the female is the one who
gives the approval of the male. Bunny "foreplay" consists of the male circling and showing off his
tail. The more interesting topic of bunny breeding is the buffer time at which they can begin to breed
again. For bunnies, a full breeding cycle only takes roughly 10 – 20 seconds. This is believed to be
so because they are pre animals, so in order to multiply they have evolved to be one of the fastest
breeding species in existence.. or at least in existence on this planet. Who knows what's out there.

Analysis Of The Movie ' The Bunny '
Imagine yourself as a little bunny in a world where you can be anything you dream of being, and the
thing you dream to be is a cop. But there has never been a bunny cop before so most people are
against you fulfilling your dream. This is the beginning of a very important scene in Zootopia. Judy
is at a fair telling her parents how she will become the first bunny cop. Then, out of the corner of her
eye, she sees her friends getting bullied by a fox, a predator. Judy runs over to help stand up for her
friends but whenever she steps in to help, Gideon, the fox, continues to put her down. He says,
"What crazy world are you living in where you think a bunny could be a cop?" Gideon tells her to
come get the tickets he stole from her friends, but she needs to be careful because predator use to eat
prey and that killer instinct is still in their DNA. Judy tells him she isn't scared so he pushes her
down to the ground and scratches her face. At the end of the scene, Judy got up and said she doesn't
know when to give up, and she put her cop hat back on. At first glance, this scene seems to be about
an animal getting put down by another but instead of letting it hurt her, it became a motivation for
her to achieve her dreams in the next scene. After looking at this scene through the filmic elements
of shots and camera angle, we can see how this scene is really speaking to the fear of going outside
of social norms which is something Cohen discusses. Using DiAngelo we can use the idea of

Character Analysis Of Bugs Bunny
The trickster character appears in many cultural mythologies across the world and across the span of
time. Despite the individual personalities of a trickster being unique across time and cultures there
are unchanging characteristics belonging only to tricksters, which still appear in our modern day
media. A wonderful example of a modern day trickster, who has lived within our society for the past
85 years, would be Bugs Bunny. Bugs has undergone a few minor changes within his personality
and outward appearance throughout his life, yet he is recognizable to the current three generations
living within our society today. Bugs is a fearless, creative, and sassy individual who is able to break
barriers, not only between generations but also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet, the trickster manages it all, he is able to put on as many faces as he needs to, and he excels in
not only the outward appearance but also fully embracing the other minor indecencies his disguise
requires. Another important ability of the trickster, is his ability to reverse situations. Whether it's
setting comrades against each other or getting someone to change their belief to the situation. Bugs
Bunny upholds the same characteristics as a trickster. In his analysis of the trickster, Sutherland
explains Bugs Bunny is bold, witty, and intelligent. As Billy West, the voice of Bugs Bunny, best
described Bugs as "(Bugs Bunny) can quote Shakespeare and then tell you where there's a barroom
in Brooklyn." (Sutherland, 2008). With his natural abilities he is able to outwit and devices cleaver
plan in order to outsmart his opponents for his own personal gains. However, not only does he end
up winning due to his abilities, he also turns about his enemies during the processes. While he does
not seem to go looking for mischief, when the opportunities arises, he will be the cause of mischief
in order to outsmart other character, such as Elmer Fudd or Daffy Duck. Bugs Bunny is also one of
the very few characters that breaks down the barriers between genders and social class. His abilities
to change from himself to a woman and another character needed in order

Also with most fathers gone off to fight in the war the main people buying war bonds at the time
were women and children. Bugs Bunny plays to both those main audiences as mothers know the
character from their child's viewing of him. This creates a way for children and their mothers to
connect on the idea of buying war bonds.
Additionally, pathos is an even more prominent example, uniting with ethos to really sell the
commercial. All throughout the commercial the mood is light and inspiring using Bugs Bunny as a
cartoon character to his fullest extent. Bugs sings the entire time also either dancing, pointing, or
even performing impossible movements with his body. This creates a very fun environment for the
audience as if the commercial is trying to secure them even though a war is encroaching. The
patriotic imagery and music is also pushed with famous American paintings in the backdrops, old
American war songs, and simple war bond songs. The Al Jolson parody is meant to reinforce this
also as he during the war played as a stage musician for the troops, even if now what was shown
would be considered in poor taste. In the end all of these factors contribute to creating a very
American feel for the commercial.
Consequently, as the advertisement put so much into the emotional aspect of itself, logos is pushed
to the side. The only real logos appears

What Is The Most Important Value Of Honesty?
It is not a coincidence that some of the most celebrated and admired people in history are
distinguished for their honesty. Honesty is the virtue of speaking the truth at all times and doing
what is morally correct. People like Mahatma Gandhi in India, Presidents George Washington and
Abraham Lincoln in the United States and President Jose Trinidad Cabanas in Honduras are
individuals who we must look up to. Even though their reputations might be based on myth, it is
important to notice that people remember them for this virtue. They made major contributions to the
world due to their honesty. For this reason, I strongly believe that honesty is the single most
important value that a person can possess. It comes accompanied with other major values.
First and foremost, honesty is needed in order for society to function properly. A clear example can
be observed here in Honduras. The corruption of the government is one of the most troubling issues
that our country faces. We ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lying might seem as a plausible solution but I have learned through experience that it only works on
the short term. The truth will eventually come out and it will only make things worse. The child will
eventually find out that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny do not exist and this will only disappoint
him/her. Evidence from research done by different psychologists has shown that children can detect
when their parents are lying to them. This means that they subconsciously become skeptic in
whether they should trust their parents, who should be the first of trust that we should rely on. Your
friend will eventually find out that you have been hiding stuff from them and it will cause anger and
rage towards you. Concerning the opinion that it is correct to lie because everyone else does, we
must never be pawns to what society does if it goes against what we believe. The truth might not be
convenient most times but it is fat more rewarding than a

Sea Bunny Research Paper
For the English finals, I was expected to compare and contrast two things. For my own personal
interest, I've decided to write about the differences and similarities about regular bunnies and sea
bunnies. Regular bunnies and the jorunna parva (Aka: Sea Bunnies) are very similar in appearance,
but these two creatures are actually completely different in terms of species, habitat, and lifestyle.
The jorunna parva is not a bunny inhabiting the ocean, but a sea slug that lives near the coast of
Japan. The jorunna gets it's nickname from its floppy bunny–like ears, which are just small antennas
that are created for sensory purposes. They help the sea bunny find certain chemicals in the sea that
helps them find food and other sea bunnies. It's puffy tail is not a tail at all, but the jorunna's gills for
breathing the ocean water. It's fluffy fur is created from tiny rods called caryophyllidae, which can
be multiple colors on the sea slugs back. The sea bunny is around 2 centimeters long and eats the
sponge that they find laying around in the ocean. Though they are most popular in Japan, these sea
slugs can also live in south africa and in multiple parts of the pacific ocean. Despite their cuddly
appearance, these creatures ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Bob Marley: A Legendary Reggae Poet
Robert Nesta Marley, better known as Bob Marley, was a legendary reggae singer and songwriter.
He was born on February 6, 1945 in Nine Mile, St. Ann Parish, Jamaica. He was the son of Cedella
and Norval Marley. Cedella met Captain Norval Marley when she was only seventeen years old, and
he was fifty. Norval's family was made up of white Jamaicans from the parish of Clarendon. Due to
work purposes, he was then relocated to St. Ann where Bob's mother had grown up. On May 1944
Cedella discovered she was pregnant and she and the Captain decided to get married. Due to health
issues, however, Norval had to change jobs and was forced to move to Kingston, Jamaica. He was
not present for Bob's birth, but once he found out Cedella had given birth to him he returned to St.
Ann for a week. Cedella did not name the child at birth and once Norval arrived he was the one that
decided he should be named Robert Nesta Marley. Shortly after his birth, Norval returned to

Scooter was the first pet of my very own besides having a few pet fish. I remember walking into the
small pet store in Forest Grove and making our way to the back There a cage sat, my mom and I
both looked at each other and gushed about the cuteness in the cage. Inside, were about 5 rabbits
that were going crazy, bouncing off the walls of the two story metal cage. My eyes instantly fell on
the two bunnies that were a honey brown color. The other bunnies were white with black spots all
over but the brown ones took my interest. I had a perfect fantasy planned out, the golden brown
rabbit with floppy ears will be mine and I'll name her Bunbun. This was in my mind the vision of a
perfect little bunny. After relentless bagging and a few tears, my parents agreed to let me have a
bunny. To this day, I still remember how excited I was. My mom and I entered the pet store and I
immediately ran to the back towards the cage. There was a single brown bunny left. My mom went
up to the clerk and asked to put a hold on the last brown bunny. We had to get all the supplies and a
cage before we could just bring her home. After buying everything that was necessary and more, we
returned to the pet store. I remember clearly how much the bunny cost, only $35 dollars. The clerk
walked to the cage with a cardboard carrier. As he opened the cage, the little brown rabbit ran up to
the second floor and stood up tall. I grinned widely walking out of that pet store carrying the carrier.

Space Jam Analysis
Movie background
Space Jam is an American comedy film in an action/animated format in which a basketball player,
Michael Jordan, and the cartoon characters from the old famous cartoon show "Looney Tunes" are
featured. The movie presents an alternative scope of history of Michael Jordan's initial retirement
and his comeback. In the movie, the owner of an amusement park in outer space, Mr.
Swackhammer, becomes desperate to find a new attraction to increase the popularity of his
amusement park, Moron Mountain, which then he gets the idea to bring the characters from the
Looney Tunes. Therefore, he sends his minions, the Nerdlucks, to bring them to him from the
animated world "Looney Tunes Land". When they reach there, Bugs Bunny, a character in the
Looney Tunes, tricks them into a competition for the freedom of the Looney Tunes characters, in
which Bugs Bunny took the advantage of their small size and limited mobility skills to challenge
them into a basketball match, where if they won they can take them to Moron Mountain. The
Nerdlucks as a result found a way to win, by stealing the talents from famous NBA players, then
Bugs Bunny knew that it's too hard for them to win, therefore he thought of getting some help from
one of the best basketball players, Michael Jordan. He then goes and gets Michael Jordan, who was

How Sound Impacts Animation
Capstone– The importance of Cartoon Composing– how Sound Impacts Animation Sounds are and
always have been one of the fundamental aspects in animation because it enables every action that
each character plays. Without sound, animation would not have the same effect as it does with
sound. Having the appropriate sound effects per action is gives the audience a feeling of comfort and
assures the enjoyment of the picture. Animation with sounds provides us with not just a sequence of
moving illustrations, but so much more, in fact, much more to where the storyline being portrayed
within the animation gives us a meaningful experience and expands our imaginations. It also makes

In 1930 came the "Felix the Cat" cartoons that also incorporated sound but failed as a series, which
was okay on Disney's behalf because Mickey kept getting more and more popular. It wasn't until the
release of "Steamboat Willie" when the creators of the Warner Brothers cartoons started to consider
incorporating sound into their cartoons. In 1928, the animators at Warner Brothers Studios began to
trade with Disney and they were so inspired by the success of Disney's sound cartoon that they
started working on the Looney Tunes cartoons that were released in September of 1930. They used
plays and musicals as reference to the use of their music choices. Both Warner Brothers and Disney
made an agreement to duplicate their cartoons to have one version to be created towards music that
was already created and the other version that would already have been created but the music would
have to be made using the animation as the reference to where the music would follow the action.
This is the animation process that Disney's studio went by to create sound–integrated animation:
"Walt and Carl would time the pictures in Walt's office. Timing them consisted of working out what
the music would be. A lot of times Walt would want more time or less time for the action than could
fit in the musical phrase. So, there would be a pretty good argument going on there. But finally, Walt
worked out a thing with Carl. He said "look, let's work it out this way. We'll

Goodnight Moon By Margaret Wise Brown
The author of my book is Margaret Wise Brown. She wrote the book Goodnight Moon. This book
was published September 3, 1947 about two years after World War Two ended. After World War
Two many wives were widowed and many children were fatherless. The book Goodnight Moon was
labeled as Contemporary Realistic Fiction, meaning it was believable and set in the modern world.
Margaret Wise Brown constantly experimented with writing children 's literature. She tried new
things that many other authors did not try. For example, she tried making her books more relatable
and more like a child was living in a fantasy. What kept her motivated was trying to keep her target
audience of children hoping and to never give up on that hope, in her own words she says "to write a
book simple enough ... to lift the child for a few moments from his own problems of shoelaces that
won 't tie and busy parents ... into the timeless world of story." which is believed to be her motivator.
While looking for the deeper meaning or message I realized this books message was death and the
loss or absence of a parent.
The book Goodnight Moon takes both children and adults away from the real world. This helps the
readers understand her style of writing and children 's literature. Goodnight Moon had a huge social
impact because of how it connected with its readers. It took kids and adults away from their
problems and took them to a world where everything seemed as if it was perfect. The idea of a
perfect world seems

Santa Claus Argumentative Essay
The Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Boogeyman, and Santa Claus, what do all of these have in
common? For me, it is the innocence of a child. Children seem to be more gullible and believe
anything you tell them; they do not know the difference between a lie and the truth. During the
Christmas of 2003, I was five years old and still believed in Santa Claus. The fact of believing in
Santa Claus expresses the innocence of a child and brings the magic to Christmas. Looking back on

was thinking what it could be, he heard Binky shout "Mustard Custard, come and see this". Mustard
Custard wandered over to where Binky was painting a primula a pretty shade of pink. "Look what
I've found" she said with excitement, and pointed to a small object covered in silver paper

yellow paint on his hands, so now he had yellow paint on his head. "That's odd" he said with a very
puzzled look, "there's one over there underneath the tulips, I've just bumped into it. "What is it?"
said Binky, but before Mustard Custard could answer, Jed was running over to them, red paint
dripping from his paint brush, he was pointing to a corner of the garden where he had been painting

Miss Faulkner's The Brave Easter Bunny
The Brave Easter Bunny Once upon a time there was a unicorn named Miss FesebelleBesebelle who
was put in jail after eating the waffle guards at candy castle. Jelly Bean Jeorge put her in jail but he
is retired now. Miss FesebelleBesebelle knew there would be a day she got put out. She was so tired
of being in that jail, but as she was in there, she would take hours and hours thinking and thinking
how to escape and what to do when she was out. Then, all of a sudden a light bulb went over her
head. "Tell the king," called the guard, "the unicorn has escaped." "I'm on it," he shouted, "come on,

Research Paper On The Battle Of Bunnies
The Battle of Bunnies Hello, I am Phil. I am a slightly psychotic bunny that is obsessed with teddy
bears. My story begins like all others... It was a hot and sunny day in Kansas, like every day in July.
And we bunnies were in out cage, sweating, even though bunnies don't sweat. So it's as hot as
Charmander's cue tip, and we are about dying of thirst. ANYWAY, here we are waiting for our
morning–day–water–fill–up from our caretaker–human–girl. So to pass the time I am singing to my
favorite teddy bear, teddy. Little, little, teddy bear, I will tell 'bout a time There was a queen, very
fair She had a golden dime... She sang and danced, through the trees And on the day, a king did
chance... Little, little, teddy bear, I will tell 'bout a time There ... Show more content on

I marched to the river, and with no luck fell in. Once we got out a snake ate me. My teddies quickly
chopped it up and pulled me out of the stomach. ANYWAY! Once we met the duck, who was spy
duck, by the way. He told us to go to the fire pit from whence we came. Well close to it anyway.
Once we were done teleporting to the fire pit, I fell in. Fortunately, my fireproof fur saved me.
TAKE THAT UNLUCKINESS!!! Anyway, I grabbed an ember from the fire, because obviously that
was what I should do, again, the fireproof fur saving me! Just then, teddy stepped out from around
the tree. And then I threw the super hot piece of wood at teddy. He was incinerated. And then I got
stabbed in the back by Mr. Dab, my chief teddy. And from the pain, I incinerated every single
betrayer–of–a–teddy. And then I

Analysis Of Lee 's ' The Great Gatsby ' By F. Scott...
At the age of 1 to 16, there is one odd girl who had turned my world upside down. Daphne Lee was
born on February 5th, 1997. She lived in Colorado with her parents and little brother. From the
outside, she seems completely ordinary, but not so much on the inside. She does not have any
problems mentally or physically, though I am surprised she does not. She has changed my
perspective on everything. Her obligation to rainbow bunnies can be a bit bizarre, but her persona is
wonderful and bright if you are ever in need of some sunshine. Her actions can be embarrassing and
troublesome, but that is what makes her different from the rest of the world.
When we were little, she would always want to eat skittles, play bunny games, "explore" as she ...

Even during the summer, she will wear them with her sandals. Nothing looks wrong with her feet,
she just really loves socks. They are not the ordinary kinds of socks, though. Sadly they are the
kiddy kind. She has two drawers filled entirely with them. From my perspective, it seems like she
has enough to last her for two years. Periodically she chooses to speak a different language. One day
she speaks English, the next day Spanish, etc. and gibberish eventually. Her taste in music is very
interesting because she seemed like the kind of person who liked happy songs, but she actually likes
very dark music such as metal and screamo. My cousin is very different from our other relatives I
have met, yet that is what I like about her.
In public, she gets really crazy. Not just a little crazy but hyper crazy. She is constantly up and
about. She is not afraid to blare her music for the whole world to hear. People are usually looking
over their shoulders, their attention to the creepy dancing ballerina bunny. I try to keep my distance.
When there is candy involved, there is more crazy to come. She gets as mad as a hatter; Singing,
skipping, hopping, and running around in circles. When nonsense talking becomes involved, I
usually speed walk to the car while she runs to catch up to me with her bunny ears flopping up and
down. The positive side of this crazy girl is that people get to have a good laugh. Her feelings will

An Excerpt From Angel's Epilogue To The Bunny
I walked into the brown barn and walked over to the bunny food and go a huge scoop out. I walked
over to the baby bunnies cage and look over the side to dump the food in the bole and i looked and i
see nothing all the bunnies got out. I looked around the barn for a little and i found two of the
bunnies but one was missing. I tried to get in the horse stall but i couldn't get it open. I took the two
bunnies inside. "Why did you bring the bunnies inside" my aunt Angel said. "Because they got out
and my bunny is the only one missing. I tried to get the horse stall open but i couldn't get it open" i
said back "How would the bunnies get in the horse stall" Angel said "Remember there is a little hole
that is on the side that we could get covered because we didn't get a big enough board" " oh yeah

Brown Bunnies Lab
In my experiment, I concluded that my hypothesis was correct; that in a desert environment where
there are white and brown bunnies and wolves present, the white bunnies would get eaten faster
while the brown bunnies survive. In figure one, you can see a control group of white and brown
bunnies in a desert environment. The background started with white bunnies, and a mutation of
brown fur added which made the population more diverse. At the beginning of this experiment, I
started with a large white allele frequency than a brown allele frequency. There was no change in
this graph, and the white allele was greater than the brown allele always because it started off with
large white alleles. Therefore there was nothing changeable. The population

Breeding Bunny Lab Report
Natural selection can be unpredictable at times. Some traits may be beneficial while others can be
bad. It all depends on what kind of environment the organism lives in. In the Breeding Bunnies Lab,
we modeled natural selection by using beads to represent the pairs of alleles (one from each parent).
In order to determine the two different traits, we used different colored beads to show the
heterozygous and homozygous pairs. Natural selection relates to this because the alleles (beads)
were selected randomly in order to determine the type of trait (in this case, fur or no fur) the
rabbit/organism has. As stated before, in this lab we used beads to represent the alleles to determine
the trait of the "rabbits". This lab was based in a cold environment and all the furless rabbits
(recessive) died. After each generation that we sorted, we poured the recessive beads into the dead
bunnies cup. Over time, the recessive bunny population died down. This experiment was conducted
to teach the effects of natural selection on a population. My hypothesis was that the furless rabbit
population will decrease over time. My hypothesis was proven true because the graph showed that
the furless bunny population was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the bunny has. After one has gathered all of these materials, he/she has to pour all the beads into the

the dead bunnies cup because the environment of this lab is cold. As the conductor goes through all
ten generations (or less), he/she should notice a change in the population of the recessive bunnies.

Essay about Television as We Know it Today
Television as We Know it Today The Power Rangers, RoadRunner, Bugs Bunny and Yo Sammity

playtime. You sit your child in front of the television for hours at a time. They stair at the screen
with glossy eyes and total amazement. Yet what is it that they are learning from these shows? It is
the hidden message of violence and dysfunction, which keeps children entertained. If you look at all
of the shows, which I have mentioned above, they seem to have a common theme. Violence.
Whether this message is intended or not is another issue, however, the violence is there. The Power

More and more children are committing acts of rage and terror. Why do we fear our youth, the
future of our society, our tomorrow? Our children have been given notions of immortality in an
otherwise mortal world. Even if it is not always the direct cause to their violence it has helped them
to accept violence due to the manner and frequency of which it is presented to them. They view it on
a daily basis; it is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Look back to the recent attack of
Columbine. A small school which no one had ever heard of, until April 20, 1999, when 12 children
and 1 teacher, lost their lives. (www.geocities.com/dreampackers) This is not to say that there aren't
many other stronger sources to blame, however, such violence has not always been a prominent
issue. Violence in our society has increased. This is greatly due to how common violence has
become in everyday life. Television exposes us to violence as being humorous, glamorous, thrilling,
and above all else entertaining. Before the widespread use of television there was not such a great
extent to the violent acts which children committed. Television was not created to have such a
dramatic impact on our society. It was not created to change our personal image, our moral
standards or even our perception of reality. Rather it was set forth to keep us entertained on our

contribute to obesidy. This claim was made in the Enviromental Science and Technology site July

team did a study with samples of household dust. Here they found some evidence showing when the
dust is inhaled it triggers a protein known as PPAR–gramma 1 found in human tissue. When this
occurs it causes fat cells to grow. Further studies show that the culprit is possibly "oleic acid". This

This was the first time a reggae band had ever had access to premium recording facility. They
worked hard knowing this was their big chance and released the album "Catch Fire", which did
extremely well and was one of the first reggae albums as of before it was sold on singles or

In the spring of 1973 the Wailers returned to London to start their first three month tour of Britain.
When they returned to Jamaica, Bunny decided to quit touring and was replaced by Joe Higgs. The

this time in Las Vegas. They eventually stumbled into San Francisco and while there they did a live
concert broadcast for a very popular radio station. This further boosted their popularity in North
America.
To close 1973 the Wailers released their 2nd album "Burnin". This album contained many of the

Parents Lying to Their Children About Fictional Characters
Parents give constant reminders to their children about how lying is misbehaving and unacceptable,
but parents have been lying or have lied to them for a long period of time. In a 2009 study of
American parents, 78 percent of parents admitted to lying to their children. Another study, executed
by Gail Heyman of the University of California–San Diego and her colleagues, found that 84
percent of the 114 American parents they chose admitted to telling their children lies to promote
behavioral obedience (Smith "Is It Okay for Parents to Lie to Their Kids? China's Parents Say Yes"
2013). These behavioral lies, along with tradition, bring about fictional characters to convince the
children that if they comply, they will be rewarded; for example, children must behave year–round
or Santa will not deliver presents Christmas Eve night, but coal in stockings. Parents need to stop
feeding these ridiculous lies about fictional characters existing to their children.

Reggae essay
Reggae is a mix of musical styles and originated in Jamaica, bob marley is the image of reggae

Reggae started in the late 1960s in Jamaica, reggae was considered a mix of many other musical

staking its claim on the musical frontier. Besides its sound, reggae music is frequently associated
with the common themes in its lyrics. The earliest reggae lyrics spoke mostly of love, specifically
romantic love between a man and a woman. But it started to take a heavy influence from
Rastafarians throughout the 1970s, it has now become not the love for someone but the love for the
universe and cosmic spiritual love, the love of ones fellow man or their love of god. But not all
reggae singers sung like this some were advocates for change in their country and used songs to get

Childhood Conspiracy Theory: Growing Up In A Multicultural...
Childhood Conspiracy Theory Growing up in a multicultural family, there were always many stories
being shared. From my mother's side, I heard traditional American stories and on my father's side,
there were diverse stories from Barbados. There were many stories from both cultures that were
similar, but the only one that was consistent across the board (except for the color of his skin) was
Santa Claus. In both cultures, he is the big cheery man that comes down the chimney every
Christmas Eve and delivers presents to all the nice girls and boys all over the world. He is the man
who was always watching you. If you don't behave, you'll find coal in your stocking. My parents
played with this story for as long as they possibly could. They falsified letters from the North Pole,
their friends pretend they were Mrs. Claus, and pretended our drunk neighbor on his snowmobile

One knows it is this cartoon by the backgrounds where Wile E. Coyote lives in the desert. Maurice
Noble created this background and throughout his career he was a production designer, background
artist and layout designer. He worked for Disney, Warner Brothers and Metro–Goldwyn–Mayer and
his career spanned 60 years but he did not get the notoriety like the animator Chuck Jones. Since
background work is less noticeable compared to the characters, Noble's work was not as recognized.
Noble started out doing design work for a department store but was then hired by Disney to work on
the animated movies producing background paintings and concept ... Show more content on

The Frank Capra movie "Lost Horizon" was a favorite of Noble. From this movie, he drew
inspiration for some of his work in What's Opera, Doc? and How the Grinch Stole Christmas and
many other films. This is a perfect example of the use of Maurice's visual memory. He wouldn't look
at still frames of the movie, but he would remember distinct scenes and use them in his

Reggae Paper

  • 1. Reggae Paper Reggae, "a generic name for all Jamaican popular music since 1960, is defined as a 'West Indian style of music with a strongly accented subsidiary beat" (Chang). Reggae music is a great style of music that was popularized by one of the world's most famous musicians, Bob Marley. Personally, I never listened to it until I made it to college, and it has quickly become one of my favorite genres. For that reason is why I chose to write this paper on Reggae music. This genre is a very calming and relaxing style of music, which helps me when I am trying to focus on doing important tasks such as homework, including this paper. In this proton of the paper I will be looking into the history of Reggae music and the development of this particular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this portion of the paper I will be focusing on Bob Marley and give an introduction to who he is, how he learned his music and how he became famous. On February 6, 1945 in Saint Ann, Jamaica, Bob Marley was born. His father was a white Englishman and his mother was a black Jamaican. When Marley was ten years old his father died, and at that point his mother moved him to Kingston's Trechtown neighborhood. As a teenager in Kingston he became friends with Bunny Wailer and this is when Marley learned to play music. When Marley was 14 years old he decided to drop out of school so he could learn the welding trade, and at the same time he spent his spare time jamming with Bunny and Ska musician Joe Higgs. In 1962 Bob had recorded his first two singles but neither one of them had received any interest at the time. The following year he began a Ska band with his friend Bunny and Peter Tosh, which was originally called "The Teenagers". They then became known as "The Wailing Rudeboys" and after a few more name changes they eventually came up with simply "The Wailers." In 1964 they came out with their earliest Studio One hit which was recorded in the popular rock steady style, "Simmer Down." Following that track they came out with another hit in 1965 that was entitled "Soul Rebel" in which both songs were written by Marley. In 1966 Marley married Rita Anderson, they had 12 kids together, and after their marriage he spent a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The question is, why is the carrot savouring bunny so popular? Bugs Bunny truly is one of the the most popular cartoon characters ever created; this has not happened by accident. For example ,Bugs never picks fights and only retaliates if he is provoked. This makes the rabbit look like a good guy and also more likeable. Also the character which is a bunny is not a scary animal but one that looks nice. This is very clever as well. The way the character moves and its expression is worth more than the dialogue. The dialogue is just a bonus to help the story make more sense. Also the way the creators made things appear to be real not entirely fairytales is great, because it make more sense to humans and it can relate to daily life. Creators of the amazing film Bugs Bunny were very clever and this has added to its popularity. Thirdly, Bugs Bunny videos have been around for over 100 years and are everywhere. The popularity of Bugs Bunny has a lot to do with how it is publicised. Bugs Bunny is one of the first videos that has ever come out. Therefore many people are familiar with it. Parents of the 21st century probably watched this cartoon as well. These parents are now familiar with it this then means that they will show their kids. This is another valid reason why Bugs Bunny is popular because it has been around for a long time. Television is a great way to do this. • 4. Descriptive Essay About My Chocolate Brother MY Chocolate Brother It was right after lunchtime and Dad was so busy chasing down Sarah that he made a mistake. One that Mom would never make. He told both of us, "If you eat any more chocolate, you 'll turn into chocolate." Not bright, Dad. Mom would have simply taken the chocolate away. My little brother didn 't realize what Dad meant was no more chocolate. But what can you expect from a five–year old? When you get to my age, you can tell better what parents mean when they say confusing things, but five–year old boys hear only what they want to hear. Or so Mom says. So Luke did just what Dad didn 't want him to. He took another chocolate bar, a big one, from the snack bin, opened it and took a huge bite. I figured he 'd get into ... He said back, sort of tired sounding and testy, "Can 't you please take care of it yourself?" He was obviously having some trouble with Sarah. Maybe she ran off without a diaper or wouldn 't let him put on her shirt. She does that. Well, if I had to handle this by myself, I would. Here 's what I did... I ran to the basement and stuffed him in the cooler, but he SHATTERED INTO WHAT SEEMED LIKE A MILLION PIECES. WHAT DO I DO? "Dad...I really need you right now!!!" "Figure it out Hailey." UUUUGGGG, he's no help. Well he's chocolate I could just eat him...NO. I have to at least try to fix him, if I can't, then I'll eat him. I grab some glue and put him back together. With luke in the cooler I can buy myself more time to find a way to reverse him. I run back upstairs and out the door. I know we got the chocolate from Luke's favorite candy store down the street. Maybe someone there might help me. I run out the door almost forgetting my shoes. The store is right where it was before. I guess just because my brother is chocolate, doesn't mean everything else should be distorted. "Hello there, how may I help you."The cashier says as I walk in. • 5. Bugs Bunny Commercial Analysis Imagine audiences sitting in the movie theater trying to escape from the looming hardships of World War II. They sit and watch as the commercials begin to play when one of the most familiar tunes in animation begins. The commercial presents itself deceptively using the classic Looney Tunes curtain opening and theme music with the simple title of "Bugs Bunny." The only hint at the true purpose of advertising at this point is the producer listing of the U.S. Treasury Dept. Defense Savings Staff. The curtains quickly open with an approaching Bugs Bunny miming the fife with his carrot as "The Girl I Left Behind" plays in the background. This is all set against a redrawing of the classic American painting "The Spirit of '76." Bugs Bunny then begins to eat the carrot he's been holding, when he suddenly begins the song "Any Bonds Today?". Suddenly, the purpose of the commercial is finally revealed to the audience, with Bugs' song telling people to buy war bonds. All throughout this he gestures, points and moves with an animated flair for the audience. He even exits and reenters frame with an Uncle Sam costume, eventually beginning to act like he's passing out bonds to the audience. Until, with an animated twirl Bugs Bunny appears with blackface and a different singing voice, a parody of the blackface performance Al Jolson did in the movie "The Jazz Singer." Finally, the picture pulls in close on Bugs' face as he wipes away the paint and once the picture pulls back out the backdrop has changed. It shows a combat scene full of planes and ships as Elmer Fudd and Porky Pig appear to help close the advertisement with singing and dancing. As the song ends a simple war bonds ad pulls into frame. It now presents a Minuteman on the left and texts that reads "For Defense Buy United States Savings Bonds and Stamps." The commercial relies heavily on its ethos and pathos to convince the audience into buying war bonds, using very little logos. Furthermore, ethos is used by the commercial with the use of Bugs Bunny as the appeal for the audience. At this time in American history Bugs Bunny was one the most famous animated characters often considered fun for the whole family. Also with most fathers gone off to fight in the war the ... • 6. Research Paper On Bunny Breeding . but the logistics are much more complex when it comes to bunny breeding. There are signs and tell alls that many people are blind to. Oddly enough.. more often than not, the female is the one who gives the approval of the male. Bunny "foreplay" consists of the male circling and showing off his tail. The more interesting topic of bunny breeding is the buffer time at which they can begin to breed again. For bunnies, a full breeding cycle only takes roughly 10 – 20 seconds. This is believed to be so because they are pre animals, so in order to multiply they have evolved to be one of the fastest breeding species in existence.. or at least in existence on this planet. • 7. Analysis Of The Movie ' The Bunny ' Imagine yourself as a little bunny in a world where you can be anything you dream of being, and the thing you dream to be is a cop. But there has never been a bunny cop before so most people are against you fulfilling your dream. This is the beginning of a very important scene in Zootopia. Judy is at a fair telling her parents how she will become the first bunny cop. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she sees her friends getting bullied by a fox, a predator. Judy runs over to help stand up for her friends but whenever she steps in to help, Gideon, the fox, continues to put her down. He says, "What crazy world are you living in where you think a bunny could be a cop?" Gideon tells her to come get the tickets he stole from her friends, but she needs to be careful because predator use to eat prey and that killer instinct is still in their DNA. Judy tells him she isn't scared so he pushes her down to the ground and scratches her face. At the end of the scene, Judy got up and said she doesn't know when to give up, and she put her cop hat back on. At first glance, this scene seems to be about an animal getting put down by another but instead of letting it hurt her, it became a motivation for her to achieve her dreams in the next scene. After looking at this scene through the filmic elements of shots and camera angle, we can see how this scene is really speaking to the fear of going outside of social norms which is something Cohen discusses. Despite the individual personalities of a trickster being unique across time and cultures there are unchanging characteristics belonging only to tricksters, which still appear in our modern day media. A wonderful example of a modern day trickster, who has lived within our society for the past 85 years, would be Bugs Bunny. Bugs has undergone a few minor changes within his personality and outward appearance throughout his life, yet he is recognizable to the current three generations living within our society today. Yet, the trickster manages it all, he is able to put on as many faces as he needs to, and he excels in not only the outward appearance but also fully embracing the other minor indecencies his disguise requires. Another important ability of the trickster, is his ability to reverse situations. Whether it's setting comrades against each other or getting someone to change their belief to the situation. Bugs Bunny upholds the same characteristics as a trickster. In his analysis of the trickster, Sutherland explains Bugs Bunny is bold, witty, and intelligent. As Billy West, the voice of Bugs Bunny, best described Bugs as "(Bugs Bunny) can quote Shakespeare and then tell you where there's a barroom in Brooklyn." (Sutherland, 2008). With his natural abilities he is able to outwit and devices cleaver plan in order to outsmart his opponents for his own personal gains. However, not only does he end up winning due to his abilities, he also turns about his enemies during the processes. While he does not seem to go looking for mischief, when the opportunities arises, he will be the cause of mischief in order to outsmart other character, such as Elmer Fudd or Daffy Duck. Bugs Bunny Propagandist Imagine audiences sitting in the movie theater trying to escape from looming hardships of World War II. They sit and watch as the commercials begin to play when one of the most familiar tunes in animation begins to play. The commercial presents itself deceptively using the classic Looney Tunes curtain opening and theme music with the simple title of "Bugs Bunny." The only hint at the true purpose of advertising at this point is the producer listing of the U.S. Treasury Dept. Defense Savings Staff. Also with most fathers gone off to fight in the war the main people buying war bonds at the time were women and children. Bugs Bunny plays to both those main audiences as mothers know the character from their child's viewing of him. This creates a way for children and their mothers to connect on the idea of buying war bonds. Additionally, pathos is an even more prominent example, uniting with ethos to really sell the commercial. All throughout the commercial the mood is light and inspiring using Bugs Bunny as a cartoon character to his fullest extent. Bugs sings the entire time also either dancing, pointing, or even performing impossible movements with his body. This creates a very fun environment for the audience as if the commercial is trying to secure them even though a war is encroaching. The patriotic imagery and music is also pushed with famous American paintings in the backdrops, old American war songs, and simple war bond songs. The Al Jolson parody is meant to reinforce this also as he during the war played as a stage musician for the troops, even if now what was shown would be considered in poor taste. In the end all of these factors contribute to creating a very American feel for the commercial. Consequently, as the advertisement put so much into the emotional aspect of itself, logos is pushed to the side. The only real logos appears ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. What Is The Most Important Value Of Honesty? It is not a coincidence that some of the most celebrated and admired people in history are distinguished for their honesty. Honesty is the virtue of speaking the truth at all times and doing what is morally correct. People like Mahatma Gandhi in India, Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in the United States and President Jose Trinidad Cabanas in Honduras are individuals who we must look up to. Even though their reputations might be based on myth, it is important to notice that people remember them for this virtue. They made major contributions to the world due to their honesty. For this reason, I strongly believe that honesty is the single most important value that a person can possess. It comes accompanied with other major values. • 12. Sea Bunny Research Paper For the English finals, I was expected to compare and contrast two things. For my own personal interest, I've decided to write about the differences and similarities about regular bunnies and sea bunnies. Regular bunnies and the jorunna parva (Aka: Sea Bunnies) are very similar in appearance, but these two creatures are actually completely different in terms of species, habitat, and lifestyle. The jorunna parva is not a bunny inhabiting the ocean, but a sea slug that lives near the coast of Japan. The jorunna gets it's nickname from its floppy bunny–like ears, which are just small antennas that are created for sensory purposes. They help the sea bunny find certain chemicals in the sea that helps them find food and other sea bunnies. It's puffy tail is not a tail at all, but the jorunna's gills for breathing the ocean water. It's fluffy fur is created from tiny rods called caryophyllidae, which can be multiple colors on the sea slugs back. The sea bunny is around 2 centimeters long and eats the sponge that they find laying around in the ocean. I remember walking into the small pet store in Forest Grove and making our way to the back There a cage sat, my mom and I both looked at each other and gushed about the cuteness in the cage. Inside, were about 5 rabbits that were going crazy, bouncing off the walls of the two story metal cage. My eyes instantly fell on the two bunnies that were a honey brown color. The other bunnies were white with black spots all over but the brown ones took my interest. I had a perfect fantasy planned out, the golden brown rabbit with floppy ears will be mine and I'll name her Bunbun. This was in my mind the vision of a perfect little bunny. After relentless bagging and a few tears, my parents agreed to let me have a bunny. To this day, I still remember how excited I was. My mom and I entered the pet store and I immediately ran to the back towards the cage. There was a single brown bunny left. My mom went up to the clerk and asked to put a hold on the last brown bunny. We had to get all the supplies and a cage before we could just bring her home. After buying everything that was necessary and more, we returned to the pet store. I remember clearly how much the bunny cost, only $35 dollars. The clerk walked to the cage with a cardboard carrier. As he opened the cage, the little brown rabbit ran up to the second floor and stood up tall. I grinned widely walking out of that pet store carrying the carrier. I could feel ... It wasn't until the release of "Steamboat Willie" when the creators of the Warner Brothers cartoons started to consider incorporating sound into their cartoons. In 1928, the animators at Warner Brothers Studios began to trade with Disney and they were so inspired by the success of Disney's sound cartoon that they started working on the Looney Tunes cartoons that were released in September of 1930. They used plays and musicals as reference to the use of their music choices. Both Warner Brothers and Disney made an agreement to duplicate their cartoons to have one version to be created towards music that was already created and the other version that would already have been created but the music would have to be made using the animation as the reference to where the music would follow the action. This is the animation process that Disney's studio went by to create sound–integrated animation: "Walt and Carl would time the pictures in Walt's office. Timing them consisted of working out what the music would be. A lot of times Walt would want more time or less time for the action than could fit in the musical phrase. • 17. Goodnight Moon By Margaret Wise Brown The author of my book is Margaret Wise Brown. She wrote the book Goodnight Moon. This book was published September 3, 1947 about two years after World War Two ended. After World War Two many wives were widowed and many children were fatherless. The book Goodnight Moon was labeled as Contemporary Realistic Fiction, meaning it was believable and set in the modern world. Margaret Wise Brown constantly experimented with writing children 's literature. She tried new things that many other authors did not try. For example, she tried making her books more relatable and more like a child was living in a fantasy. What kept her motivated was trying to keep her target audience of children hoping and to never give up on that hope, in her own words she says "to write a book simple enough ... to lift the child for a few moments from his own problems of shoelaces that won 't tie and busy parents ... into the timeless world of story." which is believed to be her motivator. While looking for the deeper meaning or message I realized this books message was death and the loss or absence of a parent. The book Goodnight Moon takes both children and adults away from the real world. This helps the readers understand her style of writing and children 's literature. Goodnight Moon had a huge social impact because of how it connected with its readers. It took kids and adults away from their problems and took them to a world where everything seemed as if it was perfect. The idea of a perfect world seems ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Breeding Bunny Lab Report Natural selection can be unpredictable at times. Some traits may be beneficial while others can be bad. It all depends on what kind of environment the organism lives in. In the Breeding Bunnies Lab, we modeled natural selection by using beads to represent the pairs of alleles (one from each parent). In order to determine the two different traits, we used different colored beads to show the heterozygous and homozygous pairs. Natural selection relates to this because the alleles (beads) were selected randomly in order to determine the type of trait (in this case, fur or no fur) the rabbit/organism has. As stated before, in this lab we used beads to represent the alleles to determine the trait of the "rabbits". This lab was based in a cold environment and all the furless rabbits (recessive) died. After each generation that we sorted, we poured the recessive beads into the dead bunnies cup. Over time, the recessive bunny population died down. Blackwell went for it instantly for he had heard of The Wailers and gave them eight thousand pounds so they could get back home and record their album for Island Records. This was the first time a reggae band had ever had access to premium recording facility. They worked hard knowing this was their big chance and released the album "Catch Fire", which did extremely well and was one of the first reggae albums as of before it was sold on singles or compilation albums. In the spring of 1973 the Wailers returned to London to start their first three month tour of Britain. When they returned to Jamaica, Bunny decided to quit touring and was replaced by Joe Higgs. The Wailers then traveled to the US where they were to open 17 shows for a black act. They were fired after 4 because the people came to see the Wailers and not the act. The crowds would often chant "Wailers" throughout. They once again found themselves without any money and method home, but this time in Las Vegas. They eventually stumbled into San Francisco and while there they did a live concert broadcast for a very popular radio station. This further boosted their popularity in North America. To close 1973 the Wailers released their 2nd album "Burnin". This album contained many of the Wailers classics such as "I Shot the Sheriff" and "Get Up, Stand Up". Parents Lying To Their Children About Fictional Characters Parents Lying to Their Children About Fictional Characters Parents give constant reminders to their children about how lying is misbehaving and unacceptable, but parents have been lying or have lied to them for a long period of time. In a 2009 study of American parents, 78 percent of parents admitted to lying to their children. Another study, executed by Gail Heyman of the University of California–San Diego and her colleagues, found that 84 percent of the 114 American parents they chose admitted to telling their children lies to promote behavioral obedience (Smith "Is It Okay for Parents to Lie to Their Kids? China's Parents Say Yes" 2013). These behavioral lies, along with tradition, bring about fictional characters to convince the children that if they comply, they will be rewarded; for example, children must behave year–round or Santa will not deliver presents Christmas Eve night, but coal in stockings. Parents need to stop feeding these ridiculous lies about fictional characters existing to their children. The "tradition" of expressing these lies must come to an end. It is a necessity that parents discover their own way to obtain behavioral equilibrium between what a parent expects and what the child is capable of. As well as parents also must understand that lying undermines a child's trust towards them and it affects religious outlooks on life. • 31. Reggae : Music And The Image Of Reggae Music Reggae essay Reggae is a mix of musical styles and originated in Jamaica, bob marley is the image of reggae music and when people hear the name reggae ythey instantly thingk of bob marley. Reggae started in the late 1960s in Jamaica, reggae was considered a mix of many other musical styles, mostly ska and Jamaican metro, the sound was similar to what was coming from new Orleans, most listeners did not distinguish reggae from Jamaica dancehall music or the slowed down version of ska music known as rocksteady, this was up until the band toots and the maytals came along. There songs served as a sort of public notice that a new style of music had been born and was staking its claim on the musical frontier. Besides its sound, reggae music is frequently associated with the common themes in its lyrics. The earliest reggae lyrics spoke mostly of love, specifically romantic love between a man and a woman. But it started to take a heavy influence from Rastafarians throughout the 1970s, it has now become not the love for someone but the love for the universe and cosmic spiritual love, the love of ones fellow man or their love of god. But not all reggae singers sung like this some were advocates for change in their country and used songs to get their ideas they spoke of rebellions and revolutions against the forces impeding on what they love, like the poverty, extreme violence, government and racism, all of these they were faced with on a daily basis and everyone that listened to ... • 33. Bunny Research Paper A multitude parents throughout America get their little tots a bunny fro a "practice pet" so they can learn how to take care of animals, and think it will be a nice little cuddly friend for them to have for a couple years. Wrong! Bunny rabbits are prey animals, so being picked up or cuddled is almost always going to terrify them, (but this doesn't mean that they're not affectionate); and a healthy bunny should live from 8–12 years, not 2 years! But, don't let this scare you; more often cats and dogs are chosen as a pet, but cats and dogs are not the best for everyone, maybe you don't have time to walk them every 4 hours, or need a small pet for a smaller home, but don't want your stuff getting clawed at; bunnies would be perfect for all these ... Outdoor bunnies should have an elevated hutch to protect them from animals that may want to eat them, and they should be let out to walk and play, everyday, while on a harness and leash in your backyard. Indoor bunnies should be let out to play too, but only outside if they were introduced to the outdoors when they were young, if not loud noises or temperatures do have a chance of shocking them into death if they are already adults; when let out of their out of their hutches in the house, you must make sure there is nothing out that could hurt them, or them might accidentally think is food, or, they could have an easy exit from their hutch to run around in a large enclosed area, so they aren't stuck in their hutch all day. • 34. Childhood Conspiracy Theory: Growing Up In A Multicultural... Childhood Conspiracy Theory Growing up in a multicultural family, there were always many stories being shared. From my mother's side, I heard traditional American stories and on my father's side, there were diverse stories from Barbados. There were many stories from both cultures that were similar, but the only one that was consistent across the board (except for the color of his skin) was Santa Claus. In both cultures, he is the big cheery man that comes down the chimney every Christmas Eve and delivers presents to all the nice girls and boys all over the world. He is the man who was always watching you. If you don't behave, you'll find coal in your stocking. My parents played with this story for as long as they possibly could. They falsified letters from the North Pole, their friends pretend they were Mrs. Claus, and pretended our drunk neighbor on his snowmobile was Santa riding his sleigh in our front yard. Each of these words describe things that a criminal would have seen before being introduced to their fate. What do a criminal and little Anna have in common? More than one would think, but that is to be explained later. Before I committed my deed, I would describe my childhood as a dreamlike bliss. I lead a pretty charmed life–two parents, a sister, a soon–to–be brother, and an iridescent, teal–colored room. What more could a seven year old ask for? But really, my life was pretty fantastic. I was a clueless little girl with a Dora Explorer(cultural allusion) haircut and larger than life bow to match. However, one day I made a dreadful mistake that haunted my childhood; I robbed the Easter Bunny. You're probably wondering how I could have possibly robbed something that doesn't exist, but my seven year old self would tell you otherwise in a heartbeat. To me, the day I robbed the very real Easter Bunny was a day I will never forget. I remember the day like it was just yesterday(simile). My family was moving across the country from hot and sunny Greenville South Carolina to an extension of the arctic tundra better known as Hudson Ohio(metaphor). The other style was apart of the dancehall culture, which was targeted mainly to local Jamaican audiences. DJs would rap over rhythm tracks, and they gained some popularity outside of Jamaica. Dub music focused more on sexual topics, "lovers rock", political violence that was upon Jamaica, and songs relating to current events in general. The difference between the two styles was there respective sites of consumption. Audiences of Marley's music would attend more of a concert to listen to his music live, whereas, the other style's audience was go to a dancehall to enjoy live music. The whole premise of "Zootopia" is that the characters are constantly asked to look past species stereotypes, and not use the term species–list (for us one such word would be derogatory or a slang term) language or repeat hurtful assumptions. "Only a bunny can call another bunny 'cute,'" Hops warns a colleague, it's filled with moments that are about overcoming and looking past discrimination. "Never let them see that they get to you," Wilde advises Hops. In the movie there are acknowledgments of the destructive self–hatred that discrimination can cause.
